We want to have a naming day for my daughter but we are not religous so we don't want to have a celebrant.. Can we still have a naming day without one?? If so any ideas?

Celebrants are members of the community who perform celebration ceremonies according to tradition, ritual or individual preference.

Celebrants assist people to claim precious moments in life's journey by performing a range of ceremonies which include;

Weddings, Naming’s – all ages, Vow renewal/recommitment services, Commitment ceremonies, House blessings, Graduations, Successes, Forgiveness, Divorce and partings, Retirements, Funerals & Death of a pet.

Sorry, I don't understand the reason for not having a celebrant as it is usually for non religious people and as stated above celebrants do not represent a religion, however, I guess you can have a naming day without a celebrant but who would run the ceremony?

hi, we had a welcoming ceremont for our daughter, we had a celebrant-non religous, the ceremony focused on welcoming our daughter into the family, we all blew bubbles as part of a circle of good wishes and had a reading that we picked from a song. it was a good way to have something that was not religous.

We aren't religious either so when we had our sons naming ceremony we asked the celebrant who did our wedding to do our sons as well. It turned out really good.
