I just signed up as I saw some enquiries about the eczema problem. I am a great grandfather so probably don't belong in this forum.
Just wanted to say - take the little ones OFF all dairy and watch the problem disappear.

Hi ,

Welcome to the hub:)

My DS gets eczema and he doesnt eat any diary products as we found this worsened the condition. He still gets it sometimes (as he is allergic to other things) but no where near as severe as when he was on Breast milk and then later cows milk etc

Thanks for your input :)

Hi,
My Little boy suffers from 2 different rashes on most of his body. One is heat rash and the other I think is Eczema, but he doesnt have any rashes under his nappy. I bath him only every second day and its just in plain water with a bit of sorbolene cream in a chux wipe (washed well in plain water before hand) I am now trying a different soap powder. He is also on Karicare AR (the thickened formula for reflux) Has anyone got any other ideas of what it can be or anything i can try?

My daughter suffers from eczema and apart from steroid cream, which we don't like to use, we found this all natural cream called XMA which is great. It helps clear it up, it has also helped heal cuts, and i had an allergic reaction to a plant i touched and it cleared that up aswell. Might be worth a try. I bought it from the markets, but you can buy it online aswell. Just google it.
Good luck.

Just wanted to say be careful of the washing powders you are using too.

They can cause big problems as well.

Hi, It could be anything that is effecting your bubs skin (things in the environment eg washing powders, dustmites etc or things that he is exposed to etc)

I would check it out with you GP and look into getting him tested, we had our little boy tested at 7 months and I thank god we did as we discovered he was allergic to eggs, wheat, dairy and highly allergic to dustmites.

After we had him tested it meant we limited the foods we introduced to his diet and when I weaned him he went onto a prescription formual, plus we modified his environment to help reduce the allergic reactions he was having.

He now like I said before has great skin and rarely gets an outbreak of eczema.
I am sooo happy I took the advice of our chn (she picked it up when bub was only 2 months old) and got him tested :D :D :D

good luck

ps the allergy clinic we went to was free and included a dietian visit plus paed. but there is a long wait list (5 months long!) so get in early

Hi,
I am a vet nurse and also suffer from a skin condition, the problem with skin conditions is there are so many different causes, some genetic, some dietary and some environmental and quite often a combination, the other problem is you will always get told about wonder cures, I am not saying don't give them a go but what works for one person will not necessarily work for the next and try one thing at a time so you know what it is that is working for you. Go see a GP or a dermatologist and go from there. Sometimes you may not cure it but just learn how to control it like i have with mine.

I have a friend who is a Mother of two who's had fantastic results from using an all natural product that's actually been around for hundreds of years and used in Countries such as Thailand and used to treat skin conditions. This stuff comes in a liquid and tastes good as well.

Her boy suffers from Severe Eczema and is never able to sleep well because of the constant itching. His mother never sleeps either because she is always listening out for her Son's crys. After just a few days of taking this product the Mum noticed that he sleeps much better and hardly wakes in the night. I was so impressed I had to let you people know.

I will post a thread next week and report how much better his condition is.

If you want to know more about this product send me an email at chris@cdandrews.com and I will get some info to you.
