Do you notice the flow on effect when your kids get sick?
Or whats more - when they get sick because of someone else...?
ok... so this is whats bugging me....
Last week i dropped G off at the gyms childcare... Another child was there coughing his poor little lungs up... i thought "come on! miss the gym for a day and protect the other kids..."
this week G is crook.. cough is bad and is struggling to breathe....
tomorrow night we had a night planned... has been for weeks...But now because he is sick - We ... or most probably ME - cant go... (we had gold class seats booked for the simpsons!!)...
So the flow on effect here is that some n00b at the gym decided they would risk their kid getting others sick, and now i cant go out and my poor bubba is crook....
Does this annoy you as much as it annoys me?

I should say as well, that i can understand that if your working that it isnt always possible to keep your kids home..
Im more annoyed that it was the gyms childcare - so they were their out of choice...
I voted meh, I don't care..
The only thing that phases me is the vomiting things.. but for coughs and colds I'm a bit more meh about things.. something has to build his immune system. :p (daycare is very immune building, I've been told!)
When he has a cough I still send him to daycare, unless it's coupled with a temperature.

Thats how I feel, if its just a cough and cold i will take my kids our and don't mind if others do. Vomiting, fevers, rashes etc i wouldn't take them out

I'm with you Bekky. I HATE my kids being sick. I hate the thought of some feral breathing their germs on my babies.
Currently, Kaiden has the same bug as me. He got it first and has been very sick. Lincoln has had it too although he hasn't been as sick, thank god. Dumb @rse MIL arrived over here with a rotten, snot-filled kiwi cold that lasts for weeks and yet still deemed it ok to kiss( :barf:) Kaiden.
Just to give you an indication of just how anal I am, I spray the shopping trolley with Glen 20 before I let K in it :o
I'm a bit the opposite but only cause i have just been through 14 weeks of continuous illness from sick kids going to daycare and my DS having a hopeless immunity!
We have had everything from common cold, chest/throat infections and gastro, on and off since february. Dr said oh he will build up immunity blah blah blah, it just didnt seem to happen. I pulled him out 3 weeks ago and its only in the last few days that i can honestly say he is better AND sleeping through again :smiliedance:
Now i have to add if i wasnt preggo it might not have been such a big deal but i am friggin sick of being sick myself AND so tired from 3 months of DS waking 3 or 4 times a night. We live remotely so i am almost assured he was getting it from his preschool, that and i'd walk in and see snotty noses etc :banghead:

hehehehe Mel!
My whole stink on this comes from G being hospitalised at 3 weeks with a whole host of sicknesses - because my dad looked after my nefhew when he was crook.... Dad wasnt showing signs of it except for a small cough - but he kept away from G, but it still passed on... That was the scariest week of my life...
Now everytime there is a cold or flu or whatever - G catches it - and it doesnt just go away after a couple of days... we have weeks of it.
Jamb - G is the same... It doesnt seem to strength him... He just catchs it again... this time it has seemed to get worse quicker too.
