Does antiboitics affect DH sperm? URGENT

DH has just had food poisoning (not from me) and was in hospital on a drip, and taking other meds for it.....we were wondering if its safe to TTC this month cos I am O'ing ATM.
Would it affect his sperm? thanks

i am sure someone will just that its a pretty tricky question, i imagine though if his been sick he would be a little low on performance but not sure if it would affect the sperm as in causing any defects with bubs etc, somehow i dont think that would be the case though as they are safe to take when pregnant

Nah its does'nt effect his sperm count..so if he feels up to it...go for it :)

Sorry. I have been at the hospital with my DP. Seems it is that time of year.

No the meds are ok if taken by the male as the sperm only need to be able to get there and divide. The problem for women is that it not only has to be able to met the sperm and divide but also sustain and nuture the little growing bubba. I asked my dr this about 6 mths ago and he said it was fine.

Go for it if DP is feeling up to it. Hope DP feels better soon.

Hi...my FS nurse told me sperm are made 3months beforehand and they can be affected by certain things esp meds. My Dh was on painkillers and this affected him. BUT go for it as much as you can ...it only takes one good one (yeh...we are still witing for the good ones to meet!):)
