It's held at the Adelaide show grounds on August 17th - 19th.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows where to get free tickets from ;) ? Surely you can get free tickets some where otherwise it's $12 entry fee!

Yeah I remember that from last time. Will definately keep my eyes open here!!
I went to the one last year at this time of year and found it very small compared to the one earlier in the year. I'm glad I got a free ticket to that one as I would've asked for a refund if i'd paid an entry fee. So definitely keep an eye out for the free tickets

It'll be good to go again this year. i went last sept. I would definantly not get another of those forehead thermometers. I got one last year, and it doesnt even turn on - even with brand new batteries. i emailed the company like a month later and i still havent heard back... i've emailed a few times now... i've had to come to terms that i've wasted like 70 bucks.
can someone pm me the link for the free tickets tho?

That's better than paying full price. I'm so anal about things like this. I know there will be free tickets out there just can't find out where.
Are you able to send me some info via PM??? :smiliedance:

I'm going to bump this thread, cos the expo is this upcoming weekend. besides, whoever comes could catch up for coffee and turn it into an unofficial bubhub greet.........
another bump.. its all very quiet.. havent really heard much about it at all.. :detective:
So has anyone found the free tickets yet as I will go if we can get some, otherwise I dont think I would pay 12 dollars each for myself and DP..

Theirs half price tickets on the website of the company sponsoring the major prize- if you look on the parenting australia website... (BH won't let me list the name of the other company Im afraid)

Yeah look it up definately worth while 2 for 1 so $6 each to get in. Much better than $12 each. Now we just have to make sure we get free car parking and it will be a great day. Tally & I will most likely get there around 11am.
I must remember to borrow Nanny's little stroller for DS. I don't want to be pushing my big 4 wheeler around the place - I'm guessing there's going to be heaps of prams every where!!:)

Yeah, we definitely not going so you can have them. I'll drop them off to you tomorrow if that's alright with you (if you're not home I'll put them in the letterbox)....or otherwise you can come here, but I won't be home (I can leave them with DH or put them in my letterbox) Up to you. :)

Its not too far... I'd guess about 1/2hr walk.
From memory parkings usually about $5.00.
I've never been to one in August so not sure what will be there.
HTH
So who has free tickets now and who hasnt???? :detective:

I've got free tickets. Parking prices are about that, if you use the parking on site.. However, there is plenty of parking on the streets surrounding the show grounds... But be careful where you park tho.... The sticker lickers in that area arent very nice....
What day are people planning on going? I'll be going on the saturday at about lunch time.
In the august one, there will be fashion parades, stalls etc....
Hope to see some of you there

Yeah, they're the parking police... I'll be there about lunch time, after DD's swimming lesson.
Myself and Perrywinkle have just gotten back.. it was pretty small and we didnt find it to be all that great. I def wouldnt be paying for it.

Have to agree with Tally, wasn't really worth going in for. I was very dissapointed. Very small and not much to see or look at. I would have thought it had stuff for us to look at like prams, toys furniture etc....
What ever you do don't pay the entry fee!!!
What did everyone else think???
missie_mack

We too were really disappointed... it was mostly photography which wasn't what we were looking for. I thought there would be lots of stalls from internet style businesses or at least clothing.... We would have been really annoyed if we had paid $24 for the two of us to get in. The Baby Whisperer was quite interesting though...
