yeah thank you! I was thinking apple pie or crumble maybe (i am not a big fan but DP loves) but I couldn't be bothered making pastry from scratch for a pie (already have another choc cake and pizza scrolls to make for a bubhub meet tomorrow) and only have puff pastry in the freezer, would that work do you think?

How do you make apple crumble?? Do you have a recipe..? I guess there is some kind of shortcrust pastry or something on the bottom and then apple and then crumble??

I just chuck a tin of apples into a baking dish sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. In another bowl mix together flour, oats, sugar and butter - use fingers to mix together until it resembles crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.

you can make a pastryless crumble if you don't want to make your own pasty, if you do a little googling you should be able to find a nice recipie

oh so many ideas!! I have heaps of tins of apple in my pantry.. i'm addicted :P

there are heaps of good apple crumble recipes on the web.. you don't need to put a pastry bottom on it. just mix up some ingredients and spread it over the top of the apples - eg. sugar, flour, coconut, oats with butter.

BUT

FAVOURITE EVER RECIPE.. every time I make this everyone raves about it

using the puff you could place it in there, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, roll into a log and bake. yummy!
