Hi there, hping someone can help.

DD now 2yrs3mths, hve been talking toilet training but not started yet. However, DD had a nasty heat rash down there, which has cleaned up now but she often says "sore" down there and changing her nappy is a drama. Now when she does poos she really resists having the nappy changed, doesn't want to be wiped, wants the poo out but fights the whole way. Never used to do this. I try and make it a positive exp, we all poo, would you like to learn to use the toilet, mum & dad poo, you name I say it! When playing outside nudienudster yest told DD to let me know if she had wee, yes, so went to put her on toilet, screamed the house down? Don't want to push her but lost for answers at the moment. She has also been pulling at shorts she is wearing and trying to pull her nappy off. When I offer to take her nappy off she doesn't want that either.

Sorry post is long but hopefully I have exp properly!

Help!

i made up a sticker chart for my daughter she 2. i told her that when she went to the toilet she would get a star. i had 10 spaces on each row, with a gold star at the end and when she reached the gold star she got a suprise. before i'd finished drawing up the chart there was already a star on it.

hope that helps.

Bronny Jane - Thanks for that suggestion - friend today mentioned sticker chart & J loves stickers so will try that one.

Mrs Casper - Ah, patience... I do have some in reserve somewhere. But seriously thank you, don't want to scare her off.

Kimmy - We do have a doll like that so will give that a go too! Not that J has been a big doll girl.

Much appreciated all.

My dd was 20mnths and fully toilet trained but after a stay at her aunties she had an accident and then regressed.. (not sure but we think she got in heaps of trouble).. Long story short got the chart out and she was right again!! She is now 2 and she still comes out and asks for us to go HOORAY, and ICEPOLE?? So we still give her something special occasionally as she is still young!! :D

Thanks angelbaby8, have bought some stickers and will try with the chart. I think dd will be happier when she's made the transition! And she does love a HOORAY!!
