Heyas!

I was watching "The Perfect Man" (the one w/ Hillary Duff) on TV today and there was a scene about Krispy Kreme Donuts. All of a sudden I had a craving for donuts! Dunkin or Krispy, doesn't matter.

I was told years ago that over east there's Dunkin Donuts. I wasn't too sure if the person who told me had Donut King in mind. I thought I'd ask. If there is...I wonder if Auspost would allow donuts in the mail :fingerscrossed: Hmmm.

I just would love to sink my teeth into a bavarian creme right about now. *sigh*

Your lucky I have a Krispy Kreme around the corner...

...If I have a donut craving tomorrow, I'll consider sending one over ... consider ... maybe... I might eat it :p

Our pre-school actually did a Krispy Kreme doughhut drive a few weeks ago - yum!

The only place I've seen Dunkin Donuts though is Bali.

I am not wanting to open a full scale argument or anything here and I probabaly deserve to be condemned for posting this in this thread but I had a krispy Kreme donut and it was the worst donut I ahve ever had, I would rather have a stale old cinnamon one from Woolies.. took me ages to scrape off the roof of my mouth and even longer to get the taste out of my mouth ... erk..
I feel strongly about these donuts and just had to get it off my chest.
I cannot even begin to imagine why someone would eat one after their first let alone greatly desire them!

LMAO Jessiebean. Have to say I concur, though I haven't had the misfortune of eating an "Australian" version, but they truly live up to your critique in the good ole US of A.

I grew up overseas and I prefer dunkin donuts to krispy kreme, although krispy kreme does have its moments, esp when they're freshly made. Although definitely in moderation... any more than 3 and I tend to start gagging from the sugar..

I used to have a co-worker who bought dunkin donuts for me when she would go visit her parents in Queensland somewhere... Queenslanders, can you confirm where it is over there please.

Yes Honeydoll, I agree. A bavarian creme would be good right now...

i have to disagree! we dont have them over here in perth... :( i actually made my BIL who just went to sydney bring a box back on the plane with him... i hate that even though perth is only on the other side of the country it feels like the other side of the world!

My mum brought a box with her last time she visited from Sydney.

I have to say I was rather disappointed after all the hype.
They really just taste like a yeast donut, only with more sugar/fat.

I've always enjoyed yeast donuts, I guess I was expecting more from a KK after all the hullabaloo :)

I agree completely. I tasted them and was really disappointed -they taste of sugar and preservatives

Yeah, I agree with another mom--KK has it's moments...I still prefer Dunkin over KK. But if Dunkin is hard to find, I'd settle for KK.

OOOOOHHHH I WANT SOME!!! I REALLY, REALLY WANT SOME!!!!! IT'S NOT FAAAIIIRRR! WHY CAN'T PERTH HAVE KK?!?!?!

I used to live in Brissy and there was a Dunkin in the food court of the shopping centre in the middle of the Queen Street Mall, not sure if its still there or not.
I must say I am partial to a KK now and then, but I prefer the plain glazed mmmm.....
