Hi guys,

I am constantly craving sugar. Can anyone share a good low sugar recipe or ideas to combat the cravings. I want chocolate bad!

I buy Sesame Snaps! They are sesame seeds that are coated in this caramely-honey kind of tasting stuff and they're delicious! You can get them in the natural food section of your grocery store

I also keep a stack of the lacation boosting cookies handy (with choc chips of course lol) but you could substitute with sultanas and dried fruit.

Its so hard to eat healthily when all you want is sugar! I am totally with you on that one... Lately I just grab my hips (and its a nice BIG handful) and that seems to remind me what I'm doing...

Oh I'm hearing you on this one!!

What about those Double D lollies. They come in fruit drops and chewy caramels as well.

They can have nasty digestive consequences...
I would go the lactation cookies or similar, something nice and dense and chewy like anzacs (but mine get eaten so quickly....by me...)
actually I find my efforts to thwart choccy cravings don't work andI just end up eating heaps of everything else and still wanting choccy which is why we keep 70% cocoa choccy in the house.. almost good for you and too rich for me to eat much of!

Lol cravings are soo funny i would go for a bowl of fruit salad with a little sprinkling of icing sugar yumo it jut kill that sweet tooth straight away.

For the choccie bit i would just go for it guilt free way of eating choclolate is to tell yourself and anyone that asks it releases Endorphins that make you and buba happy lol

What about making cakes the same way you'd make them for your baby - with no sugar, but fruit juice instead?

The Double D sugarless lollies are okay, but remember if you have too many of them, you're likely to have some gas pain... as with any artificially sweetened product. If you have too much, you can get REALLY BAD pains. So be careful.

Why Packs Contain a Laxative Effect Comment
Just like the dietary fibre in beans, onions and various fruits, Isomalt belongs to the group of 'low digestibility'. Isomalt stimulates bowel activity and helps counteract constipation. In some people, excessive consumption may produce a laxative effect. Scientific evidence shows that, similarly to high-fibre foods like plums and prunes, consumption of Isomalt in moderate amounts is tolerated very well.
