Is is just me or did anyone else think the new 9am show on Channel 10 (that replaced Bert's GMA) was totally appauling? I thought they were so unprofessional and not in the slightest bit funny, even though they seemed to think they were. My first impression when I turned it on was that David should learn to sit on a couch properly without slouching everywhere. Then in all of the segments he just interrupted everyone and made 'jokes' that weren't even funny. The makeup segment was such a joke, everyone was talking over the top of each other, there was no structure to the segment at all and seemingly no point either. The only professional on the show appeared to be Anne-Marie Biggar, and I used to think she was the ditzy one on GMA, LOL.

I can't belive that they think this trash is better than Bert? If they thought he needed to be updated they why didn't they just give him the new set and some fresh segments.

Oh well, Channell 10's loss with be Channel 9's gain ;) I know I'll be finding another station for 9am - 11am viewing!

I caught it today and i totally agree. I really thought that Dave was terrible and Kate? wasnt much better.

One segment - where they were unpacking a make up bag was the worst of what i saw. Dave kept interrupting everyone including the guests who were getting the sh@ts and then they all started talking over each other.

Dave had nothing constructive to say about anything and the whole thing was horrid.

At least Bert had fake hair and knew how to take the Mickey out of himself before he paid everyone else out

- 4 / 10 for the new show .....

I saw the start of it this morning and i cant believe how glum they looked. You would think for the first show be a bit more excited and talk about happy things but instead they straight away started talking about the bushfires. Not that it should be a topic that shouldnt be discussed but as a first interview. I saw Jessica Rowe on the Today show this morning and she looked fantastic, first day on and she really showed some excitement, at least she made an effort

I am going to watch 9am tomorrow morning and see what its like if its crap its off to Kerry anne for me.

I wanted it to be really good soooo badly cos I was getting so tired of GMA even though I love Bert, it was just getting a bit old.

David Reyne needs a serious attitude adjustment...its just like he thought it was a bludge and didn't need to bother being pleasant or useful! I quite like Kim usually, but I think she will have trouble adjusting to be a host, as opposed to a newsreader.

Oh well. I'm not too upset cos Always Greener is on Channel 7 and I'm really enjoying those repeats cos I didn't get to watch it when it was on primetime.

I forgot it was on, but will be watching out for it this week (have to check out all new programs).

I have to admit to being a huge David Reyne fan from years back (when I was in high school) when he had a hit with a group Cats Under Pressure and the Chantoozies (with Ally Fowler). I thought he was a good crush to move on to as I loved Aussie Crawl but thought James was too old!

I'll have to give him some leeway for this reason :p

oooh I TOTALLY agree... smug AND arrogant... I wanted to slap him!!! I bet they have received a few complaints though... David said the word '*******' three times before I switched off (we had to go out) - about 10am!!!! the oldies dont like that :D and they will happily ring the station and say so!!!!! (then they will switch to kerri-anne...:rolleyes: )

I dont like kerri-anne myself... but I just cant stomach David's attitude!!! made me feel ewwwy... and I only watched an hour!!! so it oculd be channel nine for me too!!!

Well i ended up watching it again this morning and it did let me down. I gave it one more chance and that is it. I am going to give Kerry Anne a go now. If that fails then its Maury on Foxtel.

David Reyne was sitting abit differently this morning, he mentioned that he got complaints that he was sitting too casually. I thought the way he was sitting was a little freaky. Its a shame because i do like Kim Watkins.

I could only watch for about 1/2 hour this morning and then I had to turn away. It was not entertaining, funny or informative. Certainly won't be watching again.

I think they need to get rid of the couch, David is too relaxed in it and Kim looks like she has something stuck up her!!!!!!!!!!!

I missed it this morning. I will give it one more go and that's it. I just can't believe how urrgghhh David is. I also can't belive that he said b@stard on a show that is predominately watched by SAHM with kids around them and old people :eek: . Did they even screen test these two chumps?

I watched it for all of about 2 seconds this morning. David Reyne really is a tosser. He talks to people like he really doesn't want to be there. Trust me mate, when we say "we don't want you there either!" lol I didn't take much notice but a friend of mine watched it this morning for the first time and couldn't believe that he was sitting there with his knees about 3 feet apart! We don't want to see what you had for breakfast.. yuk. Sorry, not watching that again. Maury Povich for me cause I don't like KAK either. :)

Don't they just look kinda odd sitting on that couch. He's all laid back and comfy and she's perched on the edge of the seat all prim and proper. Maybe they need their own chairs! :rolleyes:

Oh, and David just can't let anyone else speak without putting in his two-bobs worth interupting them. Maybe they will get better as they relax a bit more, but atm they seem all over the shop! :eek:

Is that what that show was this morning? I tuned into something dodgy on Channel 10 this morning and switched off not long after. I prefer the preschool kids shows on the ABC. :D

I watched it for the first time yesterday. I am sorry I did.
I had just finished watching sunrise on channel seven which I find is excellent in every way. Then I turned over to see this .... I can't think of a word to describe it other than absolutely appauling excuse for a morning show.
I gather they are going for a laid back chat on the lounge kind of gig. Ok fair enough but I must agree with everyone else - you still need format and professionalism. I think they need to take a page out of Mel & Kochie's book. That's how it should be done.

I can't complain too much though as I usually don't get to watch much TV (other than ABC kids!). It just would have been nice to watch omething at least half decent.

I also agree that David slouches way too much. When I turned over to see the show for the first time he was slouched on the couch spread eagle and the only thing missing was the beer in his hand, the cricket on the telly in front of him and his hand on his crutch:D

well the good news is this program is so bad that I will not feel guilty to turn it off at least some of the house work will get done at this time.:p

BTW, did they kick bert out or he left them cause he preffred 9 ?

Shocking, shocking shocking show. I agree with all comments made, David looks like a high school jock stuck in detention and Kim looks as if she has a steel rod up her backside - they definitely need their own chairs!! There was no structure to the show at all, everyone keeps interrupting the other and it's not slightly funny or entertaining in my opinion.

Although i had kind of outgrown GMA and was willing to see something new, this was such a crap alternative, i prefer the kids shows on ABC too! I can't believe this show will last, not after the swearing from David and the absolute dullness of the program. Betcha's all the show will be axed within a month! :rolleyes:

Hi there while I agree the show was a bit lame I'll give them benefit of the doubt and hope its just teething pardon the pun.

However, I have to say I'm glad Bert's gone with the sexist comments and continuous parade of jokes after each segment I found him rather awful.

What do you think about the new host of ready steady cook? I kind of liked the other guy!

9am - I think the show will stay ... although they SERIOUSLY need to re do the set (no couch!!) and the format (more professional!!) ... Kim needs to chill and David needs to grow up!..

Ready Steady - I looved nick... he was great host... miss him.. Peter is getting better.. the first few days were SHOCKING.. either he is getting better .. or I'm just getting used to him!!! I HATE it when they change my shows!!

- I'm also annoyed at TEN for moving oprah... I'm hardly ever home for it now... not happy Jan...

Bert didn't get kicked off and he wasn't he sacked, he chose to leave, I think that now David and Kim have settled in and they are now doing a good job, David is a very funny man and Kim is very nice, they have some great people on the show and I think they will only get better.I hope they keep up the good work.:yelclap:

Nup, still hate it :thumbsdown: . I'd rather watch ABC kids too. Honestly, better shows have been axed quicker than this one....i thought 9am would have gone down the gurgler ages ago. Sunrise is the best! :thumbsup:

Im probably posting too late here coz i havent read the earlier threads but this is the worst excuse for a show ever, its embarrasing.
David is a total knobhead, he acts like such an idiot, it is so embarrasing, i have to literally pinch myself and ask is this show for real?? Kate is just as bad, i have to switch channels straight away. :thumbsdown:

As soon as Bug finishes watching "In the box" i turn over to channel 7 or hit play on a Hi5 dvd. I'd rather listen to them. Davids attitude hasnt changed and he still looks as if he'd rather be somewhere else. I've also noticed lately that Kim is finding it really hard to ad-lib to some of the stuff David goes on about. Its still too stilted for me even after 7 months and I can only hope they replace it with something else soon!
