Hi there!

Going to invite all the other 'Due in Jan 06' girls over....

How is everyone doing? Corin will be a month old on Tuesday.... sure doesn't feel like it though. Does any one else feel like times been put on hold since you've had your babies?

Take care all, and hope everyone is getting some sleep!

Hi Jan 06 mums, my little guy came out natural vbac 10lb 4oz and was eight days past edd ( dob 25/01/06 ). He completely skipped the 0000 size and went straight to 000 size and can now even wear some 00 size. Huggies newborn nappies are too small for him, he wears infant size or medium 5 - 8 kg. Oh, and he feeds like a trooper - loves his tucker.

kelly renton, how big was your little Tyla and did she skip any clothing sizes?

sshellzp, who's your little Emerald coping? Are you both home or still at the hospital?

Shaelia, yep, the days are blending atm and everytime I lay down with bubs I bomb out and only the bare minimum of house chores are getting done and dinners are " chuck in the pot " - casserole type only.

mixi_mama, thanks for starting this thread to share our experiences with.

edit to note: sorry 'bout any typing errors, am feeding and burping bubs at keyboard.

Hi

Im Nikki and Ajay was born 12 Jan 06. He was 3.7 kg and at last weighin on Sat he was 5.405:eek:

Tahlia, my first, was only 4.3kg at the same age... I have a feeling my boy will be a bruiser:D

Kathy, Ajay has started with the colic as well. I thought I had got away with it (T had it horribly) but no, now all he wants to do, is be held. He wakes up most times he is put down. Yesterday I bought him a swing- one of the old ones that wind up cos I wasnt paying for batteries every week or two, and it seems to work for him thank goodness. Last night he woke at 9, 11, 1, 3, 4, 5 and at five we put him in his swing and he woke up again at 8.30:p But i guess I am lucky in that he doesnt cry in pain like T did, just fusses and fusses and breathes funny till the wind comes out eventually. I am lucky too cos I can basically go out whenever wanted cos he sleeps SOOO ell when he is in his Baby Bjorn (upright) so all i have to do is strap him in and off we go, but he is getting a bit heavy already, so I have a feeling my carefree sling days are nearly over!!

How is everybody else coping?

A wee update... ds3 had his 2 week assessment during his 3rd week of life and he weighed in @ 5860g  So far, from birth, he's put on 1200g - he's definately a very solid little newborn who most definately loves his booby tucker. He's sleeping really well during the day - which is just as well with his noisey two year old sister and he sleeps really well at night - once we've eliminated all that wind. I've just got to remember to get in those catnaps when he sleeps instead of doing housework, tending to two year old miss, looking at the 'net... or one day only getting 5 hours maximum sleep is really going to catch up on me.

tara25 congrats for little Charlotte Rose.

kelly renton glad little Tyla is giving you real smiles - we're still getting the " windy " smiles.

Mummy-2-2 sounds like little Ajay likes his tucker too.

treightonsmum congrats for little Findlay.

Thought I would join in, my second son was born on the 19th Jan, 7 pound 10 ounces, 3 days late! Thank goodness not like his brother who was 2 weeks late. A wonderful delivery, no problems, and he is a lovely baby, or I am just a bit more experience this time :D .

Hope to catch up with everyone soon, I am off to bed hoping to get some sleep before he wakes for his next feed.

Hi, I'm Anna, my baby Jasper was born on 10th January weighing 3.05 kgs and measuring 49 cm long. He's 11 weeks today and weighs 5.5 kilos and has grown 10cm since he was born

He's in the infant nappies and some 00 clothes, is anyone else finding that there are massive differences between the different brands in terms of size? Some 00 are a snug fit and others just hang off him!

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Hi all!

Paige was born on 6 January, weighing 7lb and 50.5cm long. **** delivery, but fantastic end result! :yelclap:

Paige weighs 5.7kg now (12 wks today), 55cm long (Milis - your boy is a tall one!)
She is in the infant nappies, but they're getting a bit tight. She's in 000 clothes, and 0000 singlets (why is it that singlets are always too big?)

I'm finding a massive difference in sizes between different brands too - especially in pants, some of them are really long (ie waistband under her chin!) - or Paige is just really short! :D

Hope all bubs are doing well!

My other beautiful boy deserves a mention. He was 4 born on 24/3/02 weighing 6lb 4oz. (full term though so Jack would of been big). He had all the same medical probs as Jack does so suprise suprise.

Hi to all the jan mums,

My bubby boy was also a jan baby. Born 18/1/06 at 1:13pm and weighting 3780g.
He was induced as I have found that my boys like to stay in for as long as they can!! I think it's their stubborn streak starting early:laughing:

He's now 13 weeks weighs 6300 and has just started rolling and gave me his first big laugh today. He's a great sleeper - much better then his big bro was or maybe it's just the second baby thing. i'm much more relaxed:rolleyes:

Big brother is almost 3 and a great help but he still thinks every toy in the house belongs to him!!

Can everyone let me know what their bubs are doing???

Like Jackson is talking heaps you could have a conversation with him (albeit you wouldnt understand him but you get my drift)

his a great sleeper generally. but not alot of head support doesnt like playing with his toys and when laying on his belly doesnt lift his head up almost not at all.

Can you let me know if your bubs are the same or better or worse, just curious....

Trying to encourage him but he just goes to sleep.

Hi everyone

I am new to bub hub. My son is another jan bub. Riley was born 19/1/06. He weighed 8lb, 10oz.(3.9kg) He is now 6.8kg and 14 weeks old.

Riley rolled onto his tummy for the first time today (he rolled onto his back from his tummy last week) and has been rolling over all day! I can't believe how quickly he is growing!

He is a really good sleeper, sleeping about 10 hrs at night, and still sleeping through the day, hardly ever cries and "talks" non stop.

How's the other Jan babies going?

Hi Everyone

My baby girl was born on 6/1/06. She was 3.93kg and came on her due date.
She has always been a good sleeper, and loves her feeds. Only lately she starts crying when left to sit/lie on her own - would rather be held or carried.
She's in the 90th percentile for weight, so her daddy calls her the 'tubby bubby'!
She dribbles and blows bubbles so much that the front of her tops are saturated. She is doing a lot of flapping her arms around when happy, and kicking her legs. She loves the Jolly Jumper also.

Hi Mums
I am only new to bub hub, but I am also a Jan Mum. Little Ebony Louise was born on the 25th, 8 days late. I had a very long, painful labour, with a prolonged second stage, and she was born 8lb 14oz. Not too sure what she weighs now, but we have needles and check up tomoro, so i will be letting you all know :p . I am sure she will be well over 8kg! She has been on solids since just before 3 months, and has been having 3 meals a day for almost a month now. She is bottle fed, and having 3-4 200ml bottles a day now. She has just started crawling and she can say bub. She can sit on her own for a couple of minutes before she either flops to the side, or throws herself backward. No teeth yet though. Would love to hear how other jan bubs are going now....

He is not crawling yet but he is trying, he too can not sit by himself yet oh he can for a second then he falls to the side or flings back just like your bub!!

Hi there.
I have just taken ebony for 6 month needles and check. She went pretty well, compared to the last lots of needles. Hardly even cried. Her stats are now as follows:

Weight 8.29kg
Height 70cm
Head 44.5cm

So she is in the 97th percentile for head and height, but 90th for her weight. Which is quiet good. :D

She has just started to sit by herslef for long periods of time too - as of yesterday  . I think i have been a bit reluctant to leave her for too long as our house is all tiled, but we went out on the grass yesterday, and she sat by herself for ages. It was so good...

Ebony still fits in a few 00's, but mostly in 0's now. :crying: She is growing so fast! She has been a big baby since she was born, and always loved her food. My partner and I arent exaclty small, but neither of us were that big as babies either. Im just hoping my next one wont be so big  - I had a complications during labour, as she was so big, and got herself a bit stuck.

Hi girls,

Finally I have found you all again! What a palarva, I looked in the fridge, then in the cupboard, then in the little silver tin in the bathroom where I keep all of DH's change but you were not there. But now I have found you - my support girlies yeah! I feel whole again. So for those of you who I do not know I am Trace  , I live with my DH who is out playing golf again :shame: and has left me with a sick and contagious baby (coughing smilie is needed here). Baby Joseph is now 6 months old and is still bald and has not teeth.

Am looking forward to catching up with my old friends and to saying hi to a few new ones.

By the way girls here is my first question, I am scared of cooking real food for Joe because I do not know what to do. I see that some of you are cooking soups etc but I am only doing blended food for Joe, I am scared of what I can and cannot give him. He has had rice cereal (so I suppose that means that he can now have rice, blended of course), so I might try doing some rice soups. Does anyone else have any recipies? Also is anyone else still doing late feedings?

Would love to hear from you all.

Hi Trace

Glad you found us!

I just pop all of Paige's food in the blender. So far she likes stewed fruit (pears & apples), and yesterday I did prunes & apricots cos she was constipated (not anymore! ) She also likes the usual vegies, I mix them with a bit of ricotta for something different.

I've got the 'Baby and Toddler meals' book by Robin Barker, it's really good. I just got it off ebay. There's a really good Baby Beef stew recipe, it says that many babies will happily eat variations of this most days. I cook it up and freeze in ice cubes. I'll PM it to you.

Its so hard with the food, I'm too scared to give her any finger food apart from rusks, although this book says she could be having lots of things.

Our last feed is anywhere from 8:30 - 10, and I try to hold out until at least 6:30 for the first feed, hard lately when she's been waking up at 4 or 5 for some reason.

We had 2 projectile vomits today - I think it's just the teeth coming through, but I can't see anything there yet.

Hope Joe is feeling better soon :hugs:

LOL more work for me!! The past 2 nights he has been up every 2 hours from about 1 am, Oh boy am I tired!!! Not sure if it's teeth or a growth spurt???
He has never been a good sleeper but I was getting used to at least getting 6-7 hours a night!!

angelao1098
31-07-2006, 16:35
Mellie, can i ask how many meals/solids your baby has each day? Ebony resorted to waking every 2-3 hours for a few nights a couple of weeks ago. I added another meal to her day - making her have 3 solids a day. Since then she has slept 12hours plus everynight. Before that, like you, i would only get 6-7 hours sleep.

Hi girls,

It seems like our little ones may all be going through a growth spurt of some kind, most of them are waking at odd times throughout the night, am just going to top Joe off with another bottle - am NOT getting up at 2.30, then 3.00, then 3.30 again he is getting stuffed with milk! HAHAHAHAHA (picture the mad scientist wringing his hands with glee :-))

Hi girls,
Glad you found us alright, had to laugh at your first post Trace!
We are having all sorts of dramas too, Treigh got sick on Friday night and ended up in hospital til 2.30am with severe tonsilitis. Talk about a scary night, i never want to be in the ER on a Friday night again....What an education on the dangers of alchohol and drugs! When I got back to my car it had been broken into! I was so scared on my own in a dark street behind the hospital. Happy to say I am ok and Treigh is on the mend.(still not back at school though)

Fin has now become really sick, fevers, sneezing screaming and not want to eat. I am waiting to see if it is Chicken Pox- he was exposed to it two weeks ago and he would be due to show it this week if he has got it. I hope its not but the next two or three days should tell. I have kept him away from other bubs and children for the last two weeks just in case. I will take him to the doc this afternoon and have him checked.

On a brighter note I had my first outing away from Fin on Sunday. I went to an NRL game at Suncorp Stadium.I was worried about Fin all the way there but he was fine and apparently did not miss me a bit. My friend said he was really good and she didnt have any dramas with him. My only problem was that my Bra cup runneth over by the time I got home. I hadnt fed him for almost 8 hours and I swear I was a G cup at the end of the day!:o Needless to say he gorged himself when I got home and threw it back up all over my Tigers Jersey!

Any ways thats our news so far for this week, hope you are all well and bubs are doing ok.......LOL and hugz..........Kathy.

He is having about 2 meals a day but he seems to crack it and not want much to eat at all!!! Do you all feed your bubs straight after milk feed or do you wait a bit???? At this age everyone blames everything on teeth it’s driving me nuts!!!
He is still BF so I don't know how much milk he is having??

angelao1098
01-08-2006, 16:32
I know what you mean about everything being blamed on teeth! I get the same thing!! Ebony is bottle fed but will only have 3 -4 bottles a day. These are usually in between her meals. This is a typical day for us:

7 am she will wake up and have breakfast, and sometimes a bottle. Some days she will, others she's just not interested.

10am 200ml bottle

12 lunch

3pm 200ml bottle

4:30 / 5pm dinner

7pm 200ml bottle

So your little man doesnt seem interested in food then? Thats interesting because i found when ebony was waking every 2- 3 hrs of a night, i increased her solids and things were better, and this also happened to a friend of mines baby. Maybe it is teeth then.. . It is hard to say.

Oh I have had so many problems with his sleep!! He has been going to bed late for months now and is still going to bed between 9-10pm! We tried for about 2 weeks getting him up at 7 am so then he will go to bed early but that didn't work, he jsut ended up being tired and grumpy all day and still went to bed late!!! Thats off the subject, but I wish I could get him to go to bed earlier!

I fed him a bit more than normal today, about 2 and a bit meals I gave him more than he would normaly have so I will see what happens. :fingerscrossed:

Kathy - OMGooooDDDD! Are you OK? Seriously not a good way to spend your Friday night or any other night for that fact. I hope that the boys are better soon. I really do, at least you know what I mean about the contagious baby thing. Boring and not good.

We have Joe on a new feeding/eating schedule as follows:

7.00 1 x 120ml bottle
7.30 breakfast (2 cubes of solid food)
9.30 morning tea (2 solids of solids) and drink of water (apparently this is good for cleaning the gums etc. (no teeth yet)
10.30 120ml bottle
rest
11.30 lunch (solids) 2 cubes and som water
play
1.30 bottle 120ml
2.30 afternoon tea (1 yoghurt and 1 fruit cube) plus drink of water
dinner solids with us
7.00 big bottle before bed (240ml)
10.30 late bottle 180ml

We were put on this by his Cassie at the childcare centre and it is working so far. Yesterday he did not want to drink at all, today he is drinking again! Yeah! Cassie feels that we were packing him with solids and unforuntely it seems that he prefers solids to his bottle - not good at this age apparently because of their need for calcuim.

Hi, I'm new to this thread. My name's Alice and my daughter is Esmé. She was born on 24th Jan. It's good to hear from others with a baby same age. It would appear this waking up in the night thing is common at this age.
Last night Esmé woke up at 10.30, 1.30, 4.30 and then at 6.30! For a baby that used to sleep 9 hours straight from 8 weeks this is a new and difficult development. I'm so tired! I was afraid I would fall asleep and drop her while I was feeding her.
For those of you who are still bfing and your babies wake up at night, do you feed them back to sleep or somehow resettle them?
Is this waking due to teething? (EVERYONE says Esmé must be teething cos she has such rosy cheeks, but they've been saying that for about 2 months!!!)
Is it cos she might be super hungry? (I've only just started solids and so far it's only a quarter of a teaspoon of banana so not really filling her up).

Hi all  .

Well I agree Charlotte has been so erratic with her sleep especially at night - but we finally popped that horrid tooth :smiliedance: . She has settled now again & is sleeping through again & even has a good 2 hour nap in the middle of the day (something she has never done before). We still don't have a set routine with solids some days she gulps it all down & some days she has a few mouthfuls (the CHN said u guessed it - teething).

Good to hear from you Kath & sorry to hear of your stint at the hospital.
Thanks for the update on Joe's routine Trace.
mum2Bailey - hope things settle soon in regards to Bailey's sleep.
Mumof Esme - Hi & welcome, Just wanted to let you know my daughters name is Charlotte Rose Esme ( after my great - grandmother) Not a name you hear often, I love it!

Take care all

Hi there mumofesme!!
In regards to the teeth and rosy cheeks everyone has been saying the same thing about bailey for months now. Hopefully all our bubs will settle down some time soon!!!! With the BF and waking, When Bailey wakes in the night I do feed him back to sleep most of the time it works but some times it doesn't and we have to try and re-settle

Is anyones bubs sitting alone now or crawling???? I know that angelas is!

Nothing here not sitting crawling and still no teeth.

Hi all,
Mum2Bailey- I am still BF and Fin has feeds all over the place. I give him a weetbix mixed with boiled water and tiny sprinkle of sugar around an hour or so after his first feed in the morning. Around 12pm he has a yogurt or custard and at 4-4.30pm he has his meat and veges. I BF him approx 2-3 hourly if Im lucky it stretches to 4 hourly around those times. He was going to bed early until this last week but is a bit out of routine because of all our little dramas. He still wakes for 1-2 feeds during the night but occaisionally will sleep through.

Trace Im ok but a bit rattled. Pleased to say Fin did not get Chicken Pox!:yelclap: It just so happens he has jumped aboard the teething boat again and is cutting his top two teeth now. He is just miserable.:crying:
I have had a S**T of a week with my kids. Chandlah decided to have a severe allergic reaction to god knows what on Tuesday afternoon and had to rush her to hospital too! Now she has to see an Immuneoligist, have tests done and get an Epi Pen. We got home at midnight that night and I slept in and had to get Treigh back to school late yesterday. But today they are both at school and I am catching up on washing and house work.

WELCOME ALICE AND BABY ESME! When Fin did what Esme is doing I found it was the need for solids. Sometimes its a growth spurt and its baby's way of building up your milk supply, it should settle back to normal within a week. I do still feed him back to sleep during the night but sometimes he will have his feed and just settle himself back to sleep. During the day I feed him and put him to bed awake so he learnt to go to sleep on his own. The rosy cheeks could just be the weather, but sometimes teething can go on for months too.

Congrats on the tooth Tara!!!:smiliedance: I hope my stints at the hospital have now ended. Hope Charlotte stays settled for a while for you......you have earned the break!

Well Fin is not crawling but has started the rolling around and getting further and further about the house, he sits up but I sit behind him cause he tends to flop back or forward towards his toys. He is saying mumumumum now when he wants me and can also say bubububub. I think its the constant attention from Treigh and Chan encouraging him to talk so early. Well thats me and family for the moment........Lol and hugz....thinking of you all.........Kathy.

Hi Girls -
My two little ones one's are going well. We had a big weekend with the in-laws staying as we had DD christening.
She's got 2 bottom teeth, no real signs of more teething as yet - though likes to rub her gums and bite our fingers!
She's sitting quite well now, although we still have cushions behind her just in case she topples over.
She's trying to make a caterpillar type movement, getting her bottom in the air. It's quite cute. Not moving forward really at the moment, won't be far off. She moves backwards fairly well.
She's still having about 5-6 bottles a day, and try to give her at least 2 solid feeds (has a lot) during the day. Still waking at least once during the night (usually twice).
She loves 'preschool', they always say what a happy baby she is.
Hope everyone else is going well also.

Hi girls,

I want to organise a bit of a get together Kathy and I have been trying to for ages but it has not happened.

So, I am thinking of a petting zoo or some kind of activity centre where we could entertain the kids and have a cuppa or something of the like. Whadda ya think?? I am based in Brisbane and would love to do it on a weekend because I am now back at work....any takers?

Mum2Bailey & MumofEsme - we've had exactly the same thing with the rosy cheeks and the waking at all hours of the night, and Paige's always been a good sleeper. Last night she woke at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30. And she's gone off her bottles a bit too for some reason? Who knows!

:hugs: to you Kathy, it's been a rough trot for you lately. And fingers crossed for Chandlah, what a stressful time. :fingerscrossed:

Paige is sitting now, but I put pillow behind her just in case... but still no teeth!!

Congrats Bailey! :smiliedance: That's a perfect way to describe it Jel, like a caterpillar - they look so funny. Paige is not really moving ina direction, she does 360's on her back, if I put her on fast forward it would be break dancing.

DH is off at a ball for his footy club tonight. Yes, I did get invited, but I really don't like leaving Paige with the MIL.... I'd much rather stay home with bub. I think he was a bit offended, oh well.

I'd so love to catch up Trace... it would have been good when we were in Noosa! It'd be great to see everyone's beautiful bubbas when we know so much about them.

Take care and have a great weekend

Hi Girls,

Bailey seems to be back to his normal sleep pattern, still waking once a night for a feed at about 11.30pm. He has a bit of a cold at the moment so hopefully it will not get any worse.

Still no teeth. not sitting alone yet!! He moves all around his cot now! Last night he got onto his tummy but couldn't get back again so he cracked it! He knows how to roll back but just didn't think he was to tired, funny little guy!

Hope all other bubs are doing well!!!

Take care!

Hi Girls & Bubs
This week has been a turning point in our household - Mum has had enough of getting up 2-4 times a night to settle a crying baby! Until this week DD had been wrapped very tightly, and during the night she'd cry and wriggle herself free, needing to be rewrapped, fed and rocked back to sleep....
On Wednesday, the wrap went, no more getting up at night unless she really needed me, and putting to bed awake... I know,.... this is the way it is meant to happen. All this time I've been worried about the slightest little peep out of her waking up my 2 1/2 year old and then having 2 crying bubs, I thought it be half as much work if I just got up to DD when she woke. Not any more. It only took a night and she has slept through from 8pm-6am since - fingers crossed....
No more teeth yet, no signs of any coming through as yet either.
Is still trying to move forward, and is nearly getting there. It'll look so funny when she starts moving around. We're so used to them staying in the one spot!
Hope everyone had a good weekend, Look forward to hearing from others during the week

Hi girls,
Sorry we haven't been in for a while but we have been very busy getting ready for spring and preparing the house for when Fin gets up and about and into everything.
I forgot just how many things can be of danger to a mischevious baby. Its been a while and my older children have had to lock up all their little bits and pieces too. Marbles have been the big issue, they seem to be in every nook and cranny and in every toy box in the play room!

Well done Jel! I have spent a few nights on the lounge this week so that Fin would stop waking me up all night. He sleeps soundly when Im not in there but as soon as I go to bed its up and down all night! I want to give him his own room but I only have 3 bedrooms. I am thinking about moving Treigh into the rumpus room and giving Fin his room. I dont know yet, but Treigh is keen to do it.

So sorry to hear your bub is unwell mum2bailey. I hope that lump is not serious, it could be a swollen gland at the back of the head, might just be his immune system fighting off the mucky eye? Let us know how it goes at the doc. thinking of you.

Tara, Fin has another new tooth also no.3! I thought he was getting a top front tooth but it was a top side tooth! He was tricking me.

Fin is just learning to do so many things this week, he is waving goodbye, clicking his tongue, blowing, sitting up better, pinching (ouch for us) and blinking his eyes when we say blink. He is growing up so fast 7 months yesterday. He is eating almost anything now, but still chokes on biscuits because he bites a huge chunk off instead of little dribbly nibbles. I dont have to puree his food anymore its just mashed and he loves it. Well better get back to sorting and cleaning, kids have tomorrow off for the Show and nothing will get done then. LOL and big hugz to all and little people:hugs: ............Kathy:thumbsup:

Hi for those that know me, I'm back. The flight back to Oz went well. I was really happy with Emma. She's so good. All the rellies LOVED her and it was extremely sad getting on the plane to come home. For those that don't know me, Emma was born on 30 Jan weighing 3.42kg. I live in Hong Kong but am from the Gold Coast. Emma has no teeth but is really close to crawling. I found her under the couch the other day. She seems to move backwards not forwards. Therefore, she gets stuck. We started her on solids when we got back from holidays. She loves rice cereal and I'm yet to venture into any other food. Well it's so good to be back and weird to find us moved. Hope all is well.

Hi Girls
Hope everyone is going well, and bubs are too.
My little one has been quite good the past week, except for the teething! She had the rosiest cheeks for a couple of days and they were really giving her trouble. Thinking they were the top two coming through, got a surprise when I looked and saw there were the top four just about to come through! No wonder she's been a bit upset! One has just broken through, but can't feel it yet.
She learnt to lipsmack/trying to get her to convert it to a kiss. She's so cute, looking at our faces with such love, and touching our face (but the nails have dug in, and I'm currently sporting a scratch under my nose- gee it hurt!).
Is sleeping fairly well. Is getting up around 5-6am for the morning feed, hopefully it won't get much earlier with the days getting longer!
Not much else is happening, the household is quiet at the moment, so I'll leave here and hear from you all later.
Bye:wave:

My its quiet around here.:detective: How are we all?
We have been busy again of late with friends, family and of course teething. All is well though and its a busy time of year. I have my eldest son going off to camp in just over a week with his year 7 piers and teachers. It will be so quiet without all the sibling rivalry and fighting. I think I will enjoy the peace.

Fin has been arching up his back and climbing to the top of his cot and banging his head. He is on the move now I guess and I won't get much sit down time soon once he is crawling.
I can relate the to the scratched face thing, lots of dribbly kisses but he grabs my face and digs his nails in. I have a lovely scratch on my cheek at the moment. I have to watch him because he is also biting my cheek when he kisses me. Those two bottom teeth he has, really hurt, when pinched up against his gums at the top.

Any way its washing day again and Im off to hang out another load, thinking of you all and I hope your bubs are all ok and well....lol and hugz.....Kathy.

Hi guys,

It's been a while so hope all are well.

Glad the flights went well Rachel, I'm sure everyone loved seeing Emma.

Mum2Bailey - hope everything goes well on Friday.

Not much to report from here - still no teeth and no crawling. We've been having the sleepless nights though, Paige has ended up in with me nearly every night. Must be those teeth (which are not even coming through but still give us grief).

She's starting eating really well over the last 2 weeks, which is good 'cos at the 7mth checkup the nurse said she hadn't put enough weight on (only 100gms).

Her favourite thing to eat is Cruskits. The health nurse got me onto them, they are great as finger food as they just dissolve in their mouth and don't get stuck. And watermelon, she makes a great mess with that.

On the talking front, we have bubub, mumum, dada (normally whispered for some reason??) and Bob. No idea who Bob is.

She's also become attached to a purple blanket, and likes to put it over her head while sleeping. I'd better do the old cutting it in half trick before she notices, so that if it gets lost / wrecked there wont be too much trouble!

Better get going. Hope all mums and bubbas are well, hope to be back here soon.

Hello all and welcome to the two new mums!
Fin is cutting his 4th and 5th teeth (two front top) and either giving us all a run for our money with whinging or sleeping for long periods of time. He has turned into a spew machine and we are sick of smelling like puke! Every 5 or 10 mins someone is shouting "QUICK GRAB A SPEW CLOTH!!!" At least one good thing has come out of all of this- he is sleeping through the night finally! The teething hasn't dampend his appetite either and is constantly wanting to eat. He is sitting up really well but still flops backward, the rolling is becoming an effort of pulling his legs up and pushing up with his hands, not long now 'til he crawls I think.

Other than all of that we are all well, I suddenly seem to have a teenage boy in my house! OMG! the hormones are kicking in already and my eldest little boy seems to be at eye level with me now and the mood swings are creeping their way in. They have been learning sex ed at school too and he seems to think he knows it all:rolleyes:. I will have him away at camp next week then the graduation night is coming up in a month. They do grow up too quickly so enjoy your bubs while they are small, cuddly and smell good. My girl and I can have some extra girly time next week so that will be nice. Any way Im off now to check on my littlest man, he should be waking any minute now I think.......lol and hugz to all and little people...........Kathy.

 to all new mummies & bubbies joining us here, great to have you on board.

Well Miss charlotte has been up to quite a lot lately. Yet another tooth through, I wonder when it will end - it seems shes been teething forever. Babbling her little head off. Put her in her cot today for her nap and she was fighting her sleep so badly & making sych a racquet I went in to check on her & found her sitting up ( I laid her down) playing with her massive pink bunny rabbit  . She also gets up on all fours & rocks back & forth for a few seconds then plonks back down on her belly. Very clever girl but again tinged with a little sadness of my bubba growing up as I'm pretty decided atm she will probably be my last.

I hope everyone else is going well & to the ladies whose bubbas haven't got any teeth yet do not worry, they will come and at least your not getting bitten:D

HI new mums! PrincessT I love the name Allegra.

Kath, what are you talking about, Treigh does know it all! What would you know about girls and sex and things like that! :D My little sister is 12, and OMG the things they know about these days

I can't believe Charlotte sat herself up! I'll be in trouble when paige does that, not long I guess before I'll be running after her. I just want a bit longer of her sitting up and not being able to move.

She has conjunctivitis at the moment, no idea where she got it from. Dr gave us drops which have worked well, but boy does she hate when I put them in. But she also has a splotchy rash, Dr said an allergy to something. They can never say what. She hasn't had any new food lately though, no contact with nuts or anything, and nothing else has changed. But we have an appt with a paediatric dermatologist on Monday, hopefully they'll be able to shed some light.

Just got some photos back that we had done at the local shopping centre a couple of weeks ago. They are so cute, and it's funny, Paige looks up at one on our wall and smiles at herself. What a vain child (just like Dad).

Have you all got something planned for fathers day? With Paige being contagious, we're not doing a whole lot!

Have a great weekend all

My little one has been sick since Friday, with gastro and having a terrible time with teething at the same time. Been hitting temps above 39. Got a tooth today so hopefully she starts to feel better with the gastro too. Another tooth (no. 6, is nearly through also)
Today she's been very tired and grizzly. All this thanks to day care, it makes them so sick. From this week, they are going once a week so hopefully the sickness halves too !(prob not)

So hopefully the paediatrician can work out what is going on. We have to go back to the nurse in 2 weeks to check his weight again. Poor little guy he is the oldest in our mums group and the smallest.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi girls&bubs
Hope everyone is going well.
We are better this week, BJ is much happier and back to her usual self.
She's got tooth no. 6 today, and the others are growing quite quickly, they look so different with teeth!
Still not crawling, sits well. Loves her food, and whatever her big sister has! Not gaining same weight due to continual illnesses, but she was fairly big to start with so she's going ok.
Isn't saying mum yet, lots of bububs and other 'noise'
Hear from you all soon

Hi all,

Hope Bailey is doing well. It must be the time of year for bubs to get sick Jel, Paige has had a cold and now gastro as well. Which of course means that the whole family gets it. She hasn't eaten solids now for 3 days, but is still drinking bottles so I'm not too worried.
We've been going to Baby Gym, and she's having a ball, playing with all the other kids. I wish i'd taken her sooner!

Hey thanks for that info mum2bailey, if you could let me know if you have any details? (But don't stress if you cant find them) Thought it might be a bit of fun while she's still little!

Have a great weekend

Hi girls&bubs
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
BJ is going well, her teeth are growing quickly. She spins around on her tummy fairly quickly when she wants to see what's going on.
It's so much nicer to have a healthy baby. I hope everyone is feeling better, and that the teething finishes up for you soon. I'm waiting for the next lot! I didn't find that the Bonjella worked that well either - it's hard to put on the right spot, most of it probably gets swallowed.
We went out to see my parents on Saturday, it was a long day, but it's been something I haven't done for a long time. I'm glad we managed it, hubby was away on a business trip at the time.
Nothing much to report - I've had a hard day battling the grocery shopping with BJ in the trolley and my 2 1/2 yr old running away on me all the time :shame: .
Oh well, hope everyone else is going well.

well done bailey :yelclap: on the commando crawling. Sorry to hear you guys are having sleep issues still.

charlotte talks her head off some days & others she hardly says a word. She is still a brillant sleeper at night but is really fighting her day sleeps. She hasn't started crawling yet she gets up on her hands & knees & rocks back & forth but that's it, she then whinges to be picked up  so not as much nursing much much more down on the ground play time. Although she has started to pull herself up & stand on things. & will take steps if you help her so who knows what she will choose to do next..........

Bailey still has no teeth, I guess that is a good thing when I am BF he bits and it hurts I can't imagine the pain when he has teeth! LOL
He is still very small 6.7kg and 66cm, I think that his lack of sleep has something to do with it. I'm waiting on sleep school to call me back so I can book in for a week stay to try and get him sleeping better, this will be our 3rd visit.

Cheezelkat - how is liam? Anymore teeth how is he with the sitting?? Bailey can sit up but not for long still wobbles.

Hope everyone is well!!!

Hi Mel

I've given up on getting Liam to sit now  He's now starting to stand supported between 1 0 -20 seconds at a time though, when his hands are supporting him on the bed. He's better at doing that than sitting on his own!

Still just the one front tooth. It's so sharp!

You need to be grateful for the lack of teeth LOL. Bailey certainly is small, but there is such a big range from weight and height in babies! I haven't had Liam weighed since his 6 month appointment though. I really hope you get in to sleep school soon. I need to try and get in our local one too.

Hows Bailey going with solid foods?

Milliner
29-09-2006, 17:56
His solids are ok. some days he will have heaps and then other days he will have nearly nothing. Sleep school are calling me next friday so I will have to wait for that and then wait for a place at the week stay. :fingerscrossed: it will not take long.
I better get bailey ready for bed.

Hi girls&bubs
Hope everyone has had a good week.
The weeks seem to be flying past now, even faster than before.
Now that I'm working 2 night shifts a week, by the time I get over it, it's the start of another week!
BJ has had a good week. She's been kept amused by her big sister mainly. She can also spend long lengths of time on her own discovering toys in the lounge room.
She is very steady sitting now, very rarely tumbling over.
Still no crawling as yet, gets up on all fours but either tends to flop back down or move backwards. Trying to commando crawl, but not moving much at all.
Eating well, loves her food actually, and her bottles.
She's still got 6 teeth, rubbing her gums a bit more this week, but no movement.
Sleeping about 1 1/2 hours of morning and maybe an hour in the afternoon. At night, sleeps from 8pm-5am mostly, then bottle and back to bed until her sister gets her up:hugs:
She's such a happy baby, except of course when hungry/sleepy.
She also learnt to clap hands yesterday, which she is very happy with and it looks so cute!
No where near standing or cruising around.
There's been very little sickness apart from slight runny nose, since reducing the child care from 2 days to 1 day a week. That, we've got to be happy about.
Ok, better go, both girls are on the go - so it looks like it's breakfast time.
Have a good weekend

hey just thought i'd fill you in on how my boy has been progressing, he has been eating solids for about 6 months now he's on a steady three meals a day plus snacks lol, he sits up steadily and crawls around alot which i have found to become a big problems now and have had to rearrange furniture and alsorts lol, he zooms arround the house in his walker running people over and scaring the dogs and cats to death, so now i have plenty of socks and suits with holes in them where his toes are peeking through .
As for speech I'm still waiting for a proper word besides ta but i guess he only knows that one coz he hears it everytime he gets food lol. He's a pretty big boy for his age but wouldn't trade for anything.

Hi all, we are still around but have been soooo busy the last month or so. Miss the bub hub alot.

Well Fin has cut 6 teeth all up now, had the flu, can say mummum, bubbub, bumbum, tey(Treigh), lahlah(Chandlah), yum and poo! He can sit all by himself and has started pulling himself up on the furniture. He doesnt seem to want to crawl but is happy to walk all the time. He is a hefty 11kgs and has 3 meals, snacks and breast feeds still. I still have to feed him once during the night but I guess thats because he is such a tall boy. He is eating pretty much what we all eat in bits and mashed. His favorite food is pizza! He is so very cheeky and just lights up our house with laughter so often. I cannot believe how much and how fast he has grown this last month.

Im finally back to my pre pregnancy weight and size. I have been into my bag of 'never thought I'd fit into these again' clothes and I actually have plenty to wear this summer. My other two children are on holidays until next week and we have bought a new car. The kids pushed every button and switch all the way back home and then told me how to use them all. We have had some lovely drives to the bay and parks. We were all sick with the flu a few weeks back and it was a really terrible one. I felt like we were at the doctors everyday for about 2 weeks. All is well now though.....anyway that is me all caught up on and I have read all your posts. Lol and hugz....Kathy.

Hey Tara, dont worry Fin is havin those little numbers too. He doesnt throw as many tanty's as what Chandlah did (and still does) though. I think that it's a girl thing. :o Chandlah used to do it alot just like Charlotte does. When she was at the ages of 2 - 3 she was always chuckin big hissy fits at the supermarket. By that time I had gotten quite used to them. I even remember just continuing on with my shopping with her clinging onto my leg and screaming. I got a few looks like I was the worst mother in the world but the more I totally ignored them the shorter and quieter the tantrums got. I know its hard not to feel flustered and panicky about them but if you can just stay plain faced and non reactive when she does it and she will soon get the message that 'mum isn't takin' any notice so I will give up.'
Charlie is looking so beautiful too Tara. I can remember us posting back on the Due in Jan posts this time last year. Hasn't time flown by? Have you heard from or seen Trace around at all? I hope she is doin well. Any ways it's time for weetbix...LOL and hugz to all and litle people.....Kathy.

Hi Girls&Bubs
How are you all?
We had a good weekend, with some friends coming down and catching up.
The main thing now is that BJ has the Chicken Pox! and also an ear infection. Poor little thing, her ears giving her more trouble than the pox at the moment. She's not sleeping well at night, getting up every 1-2 hours. I guess the itches will set in over the next day or so too.
At least my other daughter has had them already, I had the vaccine for it a few months ago, so fingers crossed that it's effective.
Still no crawling movements. She started to get wary of strangers on the weekend, dropping her bottom lip when near someone new (when mum not in sight). Other than that, there's nothing new - no tantrums as yet - I'll wait for them to come though!:)

Hi all,

Bailey is only commando crawling (when he really wants something) but he seems to get very frustrated that he can not crawl around and get what he wants without a huge effort. Any other bubs getting frustrated????
We are booked in for a week stay at sleep school on the 30th, he seems to be getting a bit better now so I don't know if we will need to go, it is as if he knows that we are going and has become better. Strange.
He will still wake about 2-3 times a night.

Hope everyone else is getting plenty of sleep!!!!

Oh and we still have no teeth here

Oh I relate big time Mel! Fin is doing the same thing with the crawling. It's a real pain because he expects me to help him all the time now instead of playing by himself. He throws himself from sitting up, down onto his belly then the face plants into the floor and the legs are pushing but getting no where really. He can push up with his hands and go in circles but that makes him cranky too. I have just started being real tough with him on the night waking and feeds too. I am so tired of it that the last two nights I have only gotten up and recovered him, pat him and said to him its time to sleep. He cried the first night for about 30 mins each time but last night it only lasted for 5 mins. He seemed to accept that Im not going to feed him or pick him up and gave up a bit easier. I hope tonight is even better! Maybe an uninterrupted sleep?:fingerscrossed: Lol and hugz...........Kathy.

well charlotte is definately mobile now. She is crawling - only when she wants too tho & pulling herself up on everything & then trying to stand alone. Taking a few sideways steps but we had a major fall on saturday & she had to be taken to hosp. A big nasty bump on her head. She nearly lost consciousness twice. Official SCARE OF MY LIFETIME but alls good. They watched her for a few hours & shes been fine since.

So now we are probably being a lil overprotective as in not letting her explore too much or picking her up - prolly not a good thing but I reckon in a week or so we'll be over it LOL

Hope everyone else is going good

Hi Girls&bubs
Hope all is well.
Well, little BJ is over the chicken pox, just waiting for the scabs to fall off completely. She's been going well, nothing really bothers her - and she was a little trooper during last week while she was 'sick'.
She's getting around a bit better now, doing a knee shuffle and frog type movement whenever she wants to get at something.
She started saying mummum during the week which sounds very cute. Is clapping hands and being cute when someone talks to her. Personality is really sprouting now.
She's been a good sleeper, but my 2yr 9m dtr keeps going into BJ's room and waking her up!! This doesn't make mummy very happy (esp at 6am or earlier, now that it's so bright in the mornings):shame:
This is my time to get on the treadmill, while BJ's having a nap - so better go. Catch you all later

Hey everyone remember me! hehe! I totally lost the Jan thread and thought it had been deleted! Glad to hear all the Jan06 bubs are doing well.

James is HUGE and people are estimating around the 11-12kg mark so must get him weighed! He still wakes 2-3 times a night unfortunately and gets up at 5am! I have accepted that this is the way its going to be and am just dealing with it.

Hes not crawling yet, only sitting :(
He has a bit of a bad neck from my fast labour so I take him to the chiropractor weekly and hopefully this will get him fixed up and crawling soon.

He is still very much a mummys boy and I pander to him a lot but just cant help it because hes so adorable :o As for tantrums, he certainly does fling himself backwards sometimes and yells on top note if he is stationary for any length of time, but he is generally a pretty good boy.

I will post again once he is weighed. Hes just gone into walker nappies and hes not even crawling!

Hi there fellow mums!
Sorry I have not chatted in a long time. I have been thinking about you all. The bond we all shared leading up to giving birth to our special bundles is something I won't be forgeting in a hurry!
I have just had a quick read of the latest posts and it seem swe all are going through similar situations with our little ones.
It is safe to say that I am well and truley in love with my little boy! Julian is such a smiley boy and is full of personality. His smiles seem to light up a room and his eyes just sparkle! He is a cheeky little fella who loves baths and is trying very hard to crawl. It seems every day now he is learning something new and Justin and I take so much delight in every little milestone he achieves!
I am just starting to learn that I can not do EVERYTHING myself. Since Jules was born I have practically been the one to do every little thing myself. It is not that my hubby did not offer I just wanted to do it all but now that I am 7 months pregnant I am struggling a wee bit and have handed the reigns over to mum and Justin a bit. I have found this sooo hard. Crazy I know!!!
We are having a little girl and her name will be Poppy Isabella. She is due on the 4th of Jan. My secong pregnancy is so different from the first. My morning sickness stopped just after the three month mark and I barely have time to just sit and think about little Poppy growing inside me. I get lots of comments from strangers about how close together my bubs will be and how I am crazy and that my life will be over with 2 bubs under 1. Sometimes the comments upset me but most of the time I just laugh it off as I know that I will be fine.
Luckily Julian has just started to sleep through the night so that should make life a little easier when Poppy arrives although I do wonder how her crying will effect him?
Well gorgeous girls my little man is waking form his morning nap so I must be off. I will chat again soon I promise!!!
Big kisses from me xxxxxxx

Beck.

Hi all, just a quick pop in to say hi! We have been so very busy of late with the school year coming to a close soon. Exams, assignments and loads of social and formal events.
And in the middle of it all Fin has decided to learn to crawl and then within one week he pulled himself up to stand and is now WALKING!!!! I cannot believe at 9 and half months he can walk. We and all our family are so suprised considering that he was one of the lazy bubs around here. He can take 6-8 steps unaided then plops on his bottom.
So mischeivious though. My house is was not expecting it so soon. I had to rally friends and family to help with the baby proofing job. I have even put my kitchen table and chairs away as he kept crawling under them, shifting the chairs and getting stuck. We are barracaded, gated and safety locked, what a job all at once! Ok well thats us for the mo hope all are well and look forward to your posts...lol and hugz............Kathy.

BJ is commando crawling fairly quickly. When she thinks about it she does a few co-ordinated proper crawling movements, but realises she can get around quicker the usual way and changes back.
Just started standing up to the furniture (only sometimes), and doesn't stay standing for long as the legs are still wobbly.
She crawled up a stair yesterday!! Better be careful - won't be able to stop her soon!
Eating a wide variety of foods, but still enjoys her bottles.
Still has her 6 teeth that she's had since about 6 months of age - no new one's on the horizon as yet. Waiting for the next bottom one's to come up.
It's rare to have 2 healthy girls, but it's so much better. Especially for sleep time/and at night.
Her big sister doesn't like it much now that BJ can get into all of her things!
More later, hope to hear from everyone...

Hey ladies -
Totally forgot about this thread lol.
Well thought it would be time for an update. Teina's 1 on the 13th january - i cant believe how quick this year has gone, makes me sad really! She's almost walking - standing up almsot entirely on her own! its crazy!
Planning her birthday party which has been fun and I also get to use my graphic design skills for her invitations. They look hot!
Erm... what else. Have to go to a paediatric dermatologist as Teina's been diagnosed with a bacterial skin thing which come up looking like sand fly bites. ARGH! she's on so many meds and creams the poor little thing - and the QLD weather isnt helping at all.
Just got to finish the xmas shopping for the kids - have most of it done already just need some little things.
Going up the coast for the weekend - so beach here we come! picking up the step son for the weekend so it should be fun.
Well thats me for now!

Hi all we took bailey back to the pead today and he is growing slowly he is only 7.3kg now and 69cm's! He is very small like his mum lol, I have to take him back in 4 months and check his growth and if things go down hill again then he will do some more tests.

He is a speed crawler now and pulling himself up all the time and was cruising around for the first time today.

I guess I should start getting ready for xmas soon. I have started to get things ready for Bailey's bday!

 all wow this thread is so quiet. Where has everyone gone? Well Charlotte is doing beautifully. She is a gorgeous girl with a gorgeous personality. I cannot believe the 12 month mark is approaching so quickly. She is so clever. This has been an amazing year. BTW I thought about how glad I am that we didn't go ahead TTC #3 this year. Maybe next year not really sure but it has all worked out for the best.
Well I really hope everyone else is well & all the Jan bubbies are good. We are sooo excited about charlotte's 1st :tree: . I think my little  will be very spoilt, how bout everyone else are you looking forward to christmas? Oh & she has two more teeth too & she bites

We have had no luck giving Bailey a little brother or sis as yet so maybe santa can bring me a pressie! LOL. Bailey is getting into everything now!! He is sleeping alot better thank god. Still just the 1 tooth for him.

Hi Girls&Bubs
I keep looking in here as well, to find very little activity!
BJ continues to be a little character. She's getting frustrated these days because she's trying to stand up, but she's not strong enough yet. Her crawling is coming along better now, is very very fast at commando crawling - and is very funny when the real crawling comes in, as she waves her arms around in front as far as she can swing them, to get further faster!
Not a fan of the jarred variety of meals now, give her brocolli over jarred stuff any day!! She loves brocolli (gets it every where in the process)!
Sleeps through the night still thank goodness, her big sister gets up once or twice each night usually though.
We went to the beach last week, and you should have seen her tear around in the sand. She was like a bub possessed! Sand got everywhere, but she loved it.
In the bath she's funny too. As soon as she goes in, she flips over to the tummy and swims/crawls her way up the end of the bath at a rate of knots, and then slides back down.
Hope everyone else is having fun with their bubs.
Hear from you all soon I hope.

Jel funny that you mention the bath thing Bailey is sooo hard to bath now he just wants to stand up and try and get out, he does love the bath but he can't seem to sit still we have him in his seat and he just gets out of it. I wish he would sleep through but it doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon.

His fav food is spag bol and yoghourt nottogether of course.

Hello
I'm new in here so i thought i'd introduce me and bubs.
Jordan was born 6th January 06 after a much anticipated 10 days over due.
He was born 9lb 8oz (4.3Kg) and a ratehr long 56cm
He's been one active ub from the start rolling at 3 months crawling at 5, pulling up on and pushing around furniture at 6 and took his first steps at 8.5months.
Now at 10.5 months he's well and truly on the move with 11 teeth (first at 10weeks can you believe it???)
He said mum first and now says mum, dad, nan, bub and a lot of indevipherable sounds and words.
I'm 24 and studying Primary Teaching and working part time as a receptionist.
Sorry for the long post but that's us in a nutshell and I'm sorry but it's a bit hard going everyone else's posts so far so look forward to chatting in the future.

Hi Mum2mischief
Welcome to bubhub!
Our bubbies are born on the same day! What a day it was. What time was Jordan born? BJ was born at 7.34am, after being at hospital for 1 1/2 hours.
BJ is crawling - more ordinarily now instead of mainly commando. Is starting to pull herself up, gets to her knees, and has 6 teeth. Got them when she was between 5-6 months, and none since.
Here from you more later, hi to everyone else.
Jel

Thanks for all your welcomes. It's really lovely. Jordan was born at 2.35pm after a resonable good 4 1/2 hour labour.
Hey Jel, don't they look so cute when they finally master that crawl. Tell you what though, walking looks so strange on such a little one at first.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Jel
08-12-2006, 08:13
Hi bubs&mums
Hope Bailey starts to feel better soon, but sometimes these things last up to a week (or more).. The worst that BJ had 'the virus', she was sick for over a week - started with vomit/diarrhoea/fever, then fever/NO energy (fall asleep sitting on your lap), then a little pin-pr!ck rash came out for a couple of days which marked the end of it. (Just to give you an idea since it's his first time sick). You're lucky that this is the first time he's been sick!! Poor BJ has been sick heaps of times - ever since starting day care (1-2 day/wk) back in May.
Been trying to get ready for Christmas, wrapped some pressies up a few days ago, but they didn't last long under the tree!! Least I know they like their pressies. Still got quite a bit to do...
BJ has been trying to grab hold of things and pull herself up to a stand. Takes very wild steps when we hold her hands. Not sure exactly how big she is but it's probably just above 9kgs - scales are a bit dodgy.
She's very curious about everything and excitedly looks into everything she can- getting fingers caught along the way.
She's a little roughie, much different from her 'precious' big sister! Be funny in about 6 months to see what they're like!
Better go, hope everyone is well/getting better

Bailey is better now thanks girls!!

We went to a bit toy sale today at Funtastic and boy was it busy. It was for family and friends of the staff and there were so many people there. We got there at 7.45am and finally got in the doors at 12pm and it was sooooooo hot. I only spent 100 but got all baileys b'day pressies and some xmas ones and even some for next year. It was pretty cheap, I got a fold out sofa for him the one with the sleeping bag in it for $40 and in the shops they were $ 120, so that was a good saving.

The weather is pretty bad here with all the fires so we are trying to keep Bailey inside because there is smoke everywhere. Bailey still hasn't hit 8kg he is only 7.3kg.

I can't believe that all our bubs are nearly a year. I can't wait to be preg again but we are trying now so that I am not 8-9 months in summer again.

Hope everyone is well. I am always checking this thread and still not much going on come one girls where are you???

Hello and Merry Christmas:tree: to you all!!!
As I posted a couple of weeks ago we have been just frantically busy, things will soon quiet down.( I hope) My eldest son Treighton Graduates tonight from primary school, I have a formal dinner, presentations and dance to go to, think I better have the Kleenex handy! Then tomorrow is their break up day party. I have the high school uniforms, stationary and text books all taken care of now. Been working out my plans for next year, study and childcare. I am starting off with spray tanning and waxing to make money for my course in personal training and nutrition. Will be a big challenge next year raising 3 children, working part time and study.
Fin is going great guns, he is 11 months old tomorrow, he weighs 11kg still and is into everything! I invested in a playpen and put it around the xmas tree, Fin hasn't managed to reach any of it yet. He has a thing for doors at the moment, open and shut them, he nearly locked me out when I took the garbage out the other day, only just got my hand in the door before it shut! Tara I remember all too well how terribly hot and Pregnant I was this time last year! I have all the presents bought and wrapped, Stereo for Treigh, portable DVD for Chan and a Mega Blox truck for Fin. Not to mention the stocking fillers, clothes and all sorts of other goodies for them.
Fin has also struggled with a few virusus this last month. I am starting to wean him off the Breast now, it feels sad but I have to do it as I wont be able to keep going next year with all my other commitments. He only has it in the morning at lunch and at night followed by formula. He still doesnt sleep through the night but I am getting there with him only waking twice now instead of 4 or 5 times.
Well that is all our news up to date, will hope to get in here more often over the holidays when I have more time....LOL and big Christmas Hugs to you all and your little first Christmasers!!!!Kathy.:reindeer:

hi lovely ladies :D

mum2bailey, that toy sale sounds so awesome! Liam is jst a wee bit bigger than Bailey - he finally tipped 8kg 2 weeks ago.

treightonsmum, Liam doesn't sleep through either.

Liam was diagnosed with measles last week - his fever it 41 degrees and he screamed for days. He still isn't 100% but it getting better everyday. I never want to go through that again!

I think AF is coming back.....noooooooooooooo
Because Liam went off the breast completely when sick, all signs are pointing to AF returning. I am devastated!

We are busy planning his birthday party now - I can't wait! We are having it on Australia Day - 3 days before his real birthday.

Merry Christmas to you all! :tree: :xmas:

Ck - I hope Liam is ok now!

Blessed mum - how cute well done charlotte she will be walking before you know it.

The smoke had been gone for a few days but they say it will be back by monday, it is so bad that when you walk outside you can really smell it we have to keep all the doors and windows shut so that the house doesn't get filled with smoke. I was at a shopping centre the otherday and that was full of smoke too from the air con. I am keeping Bailey inside when the smoke is around.

I am getting everthing ready for his birthday we are having it at a park. Christmas is nearly here now, First one for our little bubbas.

Hope everyone is well.

Liam's popped through more teeth. One of his canines - surprising before the other front tooth has come through. The second front tooth hasn't quite broken the gums but is very visible. This means 5 teeth!

He's been very good - the only way I could tell he was teething was that a Olympic sized swimming pool of drool was flowing from his mouth

He has a swing set, musical train, keys and fridge magnets coming his way for Christmas. I can't wait! The in-laws have already given him a learning puppy and one of those baby leap bad thingie majigs.

Hello to all!!!!
We had a wonderful Christmas.:tree: Fin lasted the whole day, surprisingly though, he had been sick with a terribel Virus all week and on Christmas day he was covered from head to toe in a bright red rash!

He loved tearing open all the pressies with his brother and sister at 5am in the morning. We had lunch at a Friends house 1 hours drive away then dinner at my best friends house another hours drive, at 7 pm that night. Fin finally had, had enough by 10.30pm and we went home.

Yesterday I discovered he has cut one of his eye teeth and in true Fin style the other 3 of the same teeth look ready to break through also. He doesnt seem grizzly or sick but has been a bit naughty:devil6: the last couple of days with pinching and hitting us all on the face! He is learning what NO!:shame: means all of a sudden. So hard to get firm with him when his bottom lip drops and the tears flow. Never mind.

Any way I have some usual house work to catch up on now then off to the beach for the day while the weather is dry here.
LOL and big hugz to all and little ones.

We went to a 1st Birthday last night and I had a girl say to me "How old is he" so I told her nearly 1 and she said "Oh really I would have said he was 6-7 months" Then she said Oh he should be walking by now. We know he is little and we know that he is behind the "norm" in devolpment, but we don't care.
Anyway thats my little vent.

I have sent out all the invites for Baileys B'day and I have started the cake so I have my :fingerscrossed: that it will not be a hot. I hope all the other mums and bubs are doing well!!

cheezelkat
04-01-2007, 10:48
HAHA, no! I don't know how many times he's up as we cosleep but he mysteriously changes sides at least once from when i go to bed,

Hows Baileys sleep going? Is he cruising the furniture now?

Milliner
04-01-2007, 10:55
Sleep whats that? LOL He starts off in his cot then ends up with us at about 4am then I can't sleep so I try and put him back to bed but then he ends up with us again. about 2 weeks ago he woke 8 times in a night.

He might take about 2-3 steps around the furniture and then gets down and crawls to where he wants to go, I guess that it's faster for him. He does climb on things.

Is Liam cruising around now?

cheezelkat
04-01-2007, 10:59
Kind of, he walks around the couches but not anything else. He's too obsessed with climbing the furniture. Have you had any nasty accidents? We have a tiled floor and he tried climbing a chair. It wasn't very nice!

Milliner
04-01-2007, 11:09
He seems to hit his head alot he crawls into things and trys to climb up on things then falls and hits his head.

A couple of months ago he was climbing up onto this coffetable thing that we have and hit his head on one of the knobs and it was bleeding poor little buy I nearly started cyring too. :(

Well DD isnt walking or looking at walking yet.. She only pulled herself up for the first time on xmas eve and hasnt stopped since! She will walk a little if i hold her hands and walk behind her! she only commando crawls but does it really well and just as quick as a normal crawl! she knows what "no" is and shakes her head when i say it. She points, she claps her hands, does all the usual mouth movement/noises, she has 5 teeth, doesnt sleep thru the night!! says mum dad bub nan has her own word for Jake (the cat) has said pop a few times too. and many other weird words that i cant understand!

I still cant believe she'll be one in less than two weeks! We're having a party on the 13th for her!!

He wasnt sleeping through the night at all until 2 weeks ago when I did some major rearranging and gave him his own room. Now he sleeps a blissfull 10 to 12 hours without a peep.
His birthday is all arranged, we are having a family barbeque on Sunday the 14th. Think I will get him his first little ride on push bike or something like that.
Then my sad day arrives on the Monday..:crying: ..His first day at daycare. I'm sure he will be fine but I probably wont be.
I'm going back to part time work from the end of January so he is starting with Mon and Tues. Then full time as I enter my full time study program. Cert III and IV in Health and Physical Training, in February. I'm going to be one very busy mum for the next couple of years.
Its so hard not to be able to be a SAHM but I have to be able to have a career that I can make alot of money from to support my children and also still work it around them in a couple of years. Im looking forward to the challenge though:thumbsup: and we will all adjust to it soon I hope.

haven't been in here for a little while - good to see some more action!
well bj, had her birthday on saturday - we had a nice day with a few friends. she looks a lot older now, believe it or not!!
she is walking along the furniture, only for the past week or so. she eats & sleeps well. She had her needles today, 3 in the one leg , which I thought was a bit harsh, but the dr was very quick about it.
she's been a bit grzzly over the past couple of weeks, some dreaded teeth making their way up/down. one is just about to break through - hopefully sooner than later!
hope everyone is going well

My DS is 1 on the 3rd Feb. I am still Bfeeding about 4 times a day. We are currently working on sleeping through - he started to sleep through just before Chrissy, then we went to Melbourne for 2 and a half weeks, and he's been completely out of sinc since.
He has 2 bottom teeth, crawls and walks around the furniture or pushes his walker around.
He doesn't say much though, Dad and Ta Ta(Bye) are the main ones.

It has been AGES since i have logged into bub hub. Had to go back all the way to page 8 to find my last post. But there was no way i was going to read through all the posts since then. Would take me HOURS and HOURS and HOURS.. So I am hoping you all understand.

happybirthday to any bubba's that have already had their birthdays, and to Bailey, who's birthday I think was today.

We still have another 13 sleeps till Ebonys birthday. Thank goodness, cause we havent organised a thing. It is a bit difficult because our place is way too small for a party, and I dont want to do a mcdonalds or play centre party as I think Ebony is too small, and we dont know numbers because SIL is away with her 5 kids, because her mother has cancer, and isnt expected to live much longer. So I dont know when they will be back and if they can come.. And dont know too many other children. But dont want too many people if we do have a party. Oh i just confuse myself thinking about it. But i really do need to organise something..

Anyway, because it has been such a long time since I last posted.. Will catch up on what Ebony is doing now..

She was weighed and measured yesterday, and is 75cm, and 11kg. She is losing alot of her bubba chub because she has been moving around so much - she cruises furniture, and walls, and anything she can hold onto. Has let go a few times, but only to do the whole "oh my goodness! im not holding on" and plop herself down. She has 7 teeth now, and the 8th and atleast 1 molar are on their way, giving her a bit of greif at the moment. She can say mum, dad, bub, nan, pup, wow, baby, poo, hmmm... i think there are more, but having a mind blank. She does all the actions to twinkle twinkle little star and we are trying to teach her incy wincy now. She does kisses now too. Cuddles her dolly and gives it a kiss (so cute). Oh there are just soooo many things she can do that i think are so clever, and i would be here for ages if i mentioned them all. :D

But i hope that everyone else and their babies, or should i now say 'little people' are doing well...

I go for my ultrasound to find out what number 2 is today :smiliedance: . We are due on May 28 - so i am almost 21wks. Really looking forward to finding out if it is a boy or girl. I will be happy either way.. Would be nice to have one of each, but I love girls, and there is plenty of time to make a little brother for them, if we have to..

Anyway, have blabbered on enough I think. Sorry for the long post

He was having a good day, BUT I was in the ladies room *wink* and I heard him screaming so I ran out and he had climed on the treadmill and fallen off. It is in front of the heater (it is summer so we are not using it) around the heater is like a fire place with all bricks and he had scratched his face and must have bitten his lip, there was blood everywhere all over me he was crying I was crying I felt so guilty. When you gotta go you gotta go. He is still bleeding a bit from the mouth but he seems ok he is just happy playing with his toys atm.

I just feel so bad. He has all these little scratches on the side of his lip around his mouth. :crying:

I didn't know what to do so I was just giving him big hugs and tried to put some ice on it but he will not let me near it. :crying:

Fin had a buster on Friday too, was crawling on hands and feet 40 to the dozen, chasing seagulls at the park and fell flat on his nose on concrete! He grazed on the top of his nose and it bled from inside, all over me. He is ok now though but his birthday photos tomorrow will have a scabby nose in them.
So it's a big happybirthday  to my little man too! Family and friends and a barbeque tomorrow. I have to go shopping for all the food today. Should be lovely.
I also want to say a big happybirthday to Trace's little man who will be 1 on the 16th.
Great to hear from you Angela!!! Do keep us posted on the new bubba to arrive.
Big hugz and lol to all and little ones...Kathy.

happybirthday Bailey. Poor little guy :( I hope he is feeling better. Have you tried putting breast milk on the scratches? it will help heal them. Accidents happen though - with 4 cats Liam's been scratched more than his fair share and it breaks my heart each time. The cake is amazing though! Where did you get the idea from?

Happy Birthday to Fin too! happybirthday

I still haven't sent out the invites for Liams party. I am such a slacker.

hi mums&bubs
how is everyone going?
little bj is going well. she's such a big girl now!
she is getting around cruising the furniture now, has been for a few weeks. hasn't let go to stand alone as yet, just lowers herself and gets going on all fours.
she has mastered stair climbing! i was upstairs last week, next minute she's up their too! last night she was crying at the top of the stairs as she couldn't climb down, but was quick to learn. i don't think we'll worry about stair barriers this time.
she eats very well, sleeps all night still and still has 2 sleeps a day.
that's us up to date! hear from you all soon

We are going on our first holiday on friday and I can't wait!!! I will take Bailey swimming for the first time YEY!!!

Our house is sold now and settlement is in May I can't even imagine how we are going to move with Bailey it's going to be a long day I think I will have to get someone to look after him for the day.

He isn't doing anything new still crawling around and climbing on everything and hitting his head all the time. His day sleeps are still going well no crying at all (he still need his music to go to sleep) Nights have been good for the past couple of days he didn't wake up at all last night. :yelclap: We will see if that all changes when we go away.

Hope all the other mums and bubs are good!!

We went and met giaan rooney (sp?) today fro filming on "what's good for you". Bailey was soooo tired he missed his sleep and wouldn't sleep in the pram, poor little guy. We were there for a while and as soon as we got in the car he was asleep. He is still napping now.

How are all the other bubs going well they are toddles now I guess. Bailey still hasn't hit 8kg.

Yay on the holiday Milliner - Hope you guys have fun :)

Well Charlotte is doing really well. She loves to play outside these days but doesn't like keeping her hat on :shame: so we have to work on that.

She has cut another three nearly four teeth but these ones have been the worst yet.

So our talks about trying for # 3 are sounding promising for the very near future :D which is exciting but daunting at that same time LOL

Hope everyone else are well & having lots of fun

Well we came back early DP was sick of the bed, so we packed up and came home. It was kinda lucky we did as it took longer than expected to pack and clean everything.

We took bailey swimming everyday, he loved the pool but didn't think much of the cold ocean.
It looks like he is getting his top 2 teeth finally he has been a bit of a sook for the past 2 days.

We did have 4 nights where he slept through but now he is teething. hmmm.

Nothing more to report he still doesn't look like he will be walking anytime soon.

Hi there girls!!!!

Well I have started a small business course run through the body shop they supply nannies for child care and I can tell you that Bailey hates it!!! He can't sleep because other kids are waking him up so he is just crying the whole time. They are in a room next to us so I can hear him. We had to leave early because he couldn't sleep and now after 2 days he is soooo over tired that he will not sleep. I don't know if I should continue with it or not.

Apart from that we are all well he is still not walking DP said to me that he stood by himself for the first time last night but I didn't see it and I don't believe him lol.

hi bubs&girls
how are we all?
there hasn't been much activity in here of late (me included)
what are everyone's bubs up to?
BJ is now walking, started to walk around everywhere from about 2 weeks ago. she's very confident with it and is trying to carry everything around with her now.
she finally got 'the tooth' we've been waiting for for what seems like ages. she now has the front 8 ones.
waiting to hear how everyone is -
congrats on the new pregnancies too:yelclap:

Hi girls!!!
Bailey is still not walking, he has "let go" for a second but thats about it. I think maybe another month or so and he might take a few steps. He has just got his 3rd tooth and another one on the way. He is still not sleeping through, we did have a few nights but now he is back to waking about 2-3 times a night again.

He does this cute little thing that when daddy farts he makes the same noise (like blowing a raspberry) IYKWIM.
He also likes to change the channels on the TV he will pick up the remote and point it at the telly and change it. It's soooo cute.

Hi girls

wow what a weekend we've had. Went away for the weekend to visit my Aunty's little new addition & he is gorgeous btw hehe. Well Lil Miss Charlotte had the worst weekend ever. She was so unsettled & crying so much I ended up at the doctor's with her but the verdict was TEETHING :banghead: . The poor lil might but by gosh what a test in patience. She seems a lot happier today tho so :smiliedance: . On other breaking news I think all the :bfp: 's in this thread & seeing the new lil bubba in our family has made an impact on me, DH & I are talking about when to start TTC # 3 :smiliedance: .

Hope everyone else is well

Bailey is getting his 4th tooth and he has a really sore red bum atm and he will not let me wipe it. Poor little guy!

I have been feeling a bit sick for the past few days but I havn't thrown up yet.

Great news Blessed mum!! Good luck I hope that you get your :bfp: soon.

Hi girls&bubs
Things here are going well. Little BJ is growing and learning so much now.
Her 2 molars have popped through, now waiting on the other 2 ones. They haven't really bothered her as much as the front ones (thank goodness!).
She's walking quite well, trying to run in fact!! But her little legs don't keep up and she falls down!
She's trying to keep up with her big sister.
Hope you start feeling better soon Milliner, how many weeks are you?
Better go, hear from you guys soon ( I hope ;) )

Hi girls

No walking here yet either. He took one step 3 days ago and refused to stand after that. Climbing everywhere though!

is anyone else dealing with mutiple injuries? everyday he seems to hit his head on something.

Oh and before I forget, is anyone elses bub obsessed with rocking back and forth/

Blessed Mum
22-03-2007, 11:37
Thankyou Milliner :D

Yay for BJ & Bailey on the teething front.

Go Liam

Well Charlotte has decided to muck her sleep around again & is getting up at 5am grrr. So we are cutting out the afternoon nap here.
We are also having mini converstaions now with her too which is really cute but her fav answer you guessed it is NO lol

Good to hear from you ladies :)

Jel
23-03-2007, 07:55
Hi there:wave:
Yep, multiple injuries (just minor one's though)here too!! Doesn't help when big sis pushes her and pokes her and pulls her here there and everywhere!
She's been climbing up and down the stairs now since her birthday, and some of her injuries are from there.
BJ's naps during the day are not as frequent now either, still likes a long in the morning beofre lunch, not as keen about the pm.
No rocking back and forth here CK - only when there's music on she has a little dance.
Hope all is well, have a lovely day/weekend

Injuries yep we have alot of them, falling over hitting his head ect.

Hi girls!!!

Well Bailey is a real big sook now. Ever since I started this course he has been really clingy and now he just sooks all day long, I have had a bit of all day sickness and that makes it hard. I can't do anything without him hanging off me and sooking to be picked up.

Is anyone elses bub like this?? I am hoping that he will grow out of it soon.

Blessed Mum
31-03-2007, 17:45
Yep charlotte has been a bit sooky & clingy lately too.

Not much to report on our front, a few new words of ppl we know & see a lot & our she uses the dog's name instead of 'dog' which is cute & loves the word No & shakes her head with it :detective: Not sure I'm liking that too much lol.

Hope everyone else is well :)

Bailey is not walking yet, he hasn't taken any steps he stand up for about 20 seconds then holds on to something or plops on his bum.
Bailey is still not waving or clapping or pointing, he says mum, dad, bub but doesn't know what they mean. It makes you worry when they are not doing what all the books say that they should be doing at this age, but everyone is different I try not to worry to much. I have stopped going to mums group because they seem to treat it like a bit of a competition who does what first and Bailey is always the last to do anything.
I always get asked oh is he walking yet, I say no and all I get is OH.

Anyhoo thats my vent over!

Point of my vent was don't stress CK and well done Liam!!

cheezelkat
05-04-2007, 08:54
Mel you're doing a great job with Bailey. I skipped going to mums group when Liam wasn't sitting and babies months younger were - made me feel awful.
Even here on BH its sometimes hard to see much younger babies overtaking Liam in the skills department and proud mothers saying ooooooh my baby is so clever. I know I shouldn't take it to heart but its hard.

Milliner
05-04-2007, 17:34
Yep I know how you feel. Sometimes you feel that you have done something wrong or there is something wrong with bubs, but he will get there in the end I guess.
At least Bailey and Liam have each other they are both the last to do things, it makes it easier for me to know that there is someone else out there too.

Jel
05-04-2007, 21:07
hi mums&bubs
i wouldn't worry too much girls. my eldest didn't walk until she was 17 1/2 months - now she's running as fast as the rest of them!
have a great easter break!
