The other day i was logged onto my Centrelink info thingy, and as you know they have a family assistance office tab where you can do your income estimates yadda yadda yadda.. so i completed the advise of non lodgment of tax return (as not required to do one this year, nor is my partner) so also advised his as well via the FAO link. It went through no probs but still no money.

Do i have to also advice the ATO the same? I just figured if you do it through the FAO Link on the c/link site then its all linked ifkwim?

Yep, thats what I did last year. They all 'talk' to each other, so as long as you and your partner are both accounted for in the system, it'll all be good :)

I thought it was the other way around, you advised ATO and they then advised Centrelink???

you still have to let the ato know just fill out a non lodgement form you can download it from their site, it does say 2006 though but when you open the form its for this year.

As far as i am aware when centrelink hear from them they will pay up :D

I rang them last week to see when the supplement was going into my account and they asked me if I had to lodge a tax return. They said they cant process the your claim for the supplement till YOU have notified them of your status of non lodgement of tax return.
I would suggest giving them a call. My supplement was in the bank 2 days later.
