Im not giving any pressies as we just cant afford to but also im sort of getting around it by making the invitations & using a really nice photo slotted into it. This way the guests have something to keep as a memento.
Otherwise you can get little frames for $2 from those cheap shops & even put in little pics of bubs for them to keep i did this for when bubs was born for close relatives & my cousin did this for his wedding as placecards as well as something to say thankyou.
Hope this gives you some cheaper ideas otherwise if you sit down & think about it there may even be other little things you can make yourself that either your family likes or is just something fun !
Good luck :)

I'm having the same issue. Mackenzie is being Christened this weekend and i dont know what to get the God Parents.
I was just out at Emerald for a few days and the baby shop out there had these coins with a picture of an angel and 'God Mother' but no God Father's.

As for the rest of the family and friends, after his Christening i'm sending out Thank you cards with his Christening Photo on the front. I did the same when he was born.

I'm into making things eg: thank you cards, invites etc. Its more personal and CHEAPER!

Good Luck!

We did the magnet thing to. Everyone just loved them.
The thankyou cards a great Idea.

Do godparents still get certificates???? I was going to make up a certificate to give to my daughters godparents if they don’t get one from the celebrant, Similar to the commemorative birth certificate we got for my daughter.

you pick out a shape you wanna do them,,, i did flower shapes,,, then cut out the shapes on cardboard i did pink and purple,,,, pick a photo i dressed tyler in her dress,,,, then cut another bit of cardboard to put on the back,,, then from spotlight you can buy sheets of magent,,, cut the out into little sq stick on the back with craft clue,,, let let for a while,,,, then on the fron with a gitler pen write whatever you wont,,, i wrote tyler's name and the date of her naming.... i hope this makes sence:confused: ....lol....

tyler's godparents got certificates i had to ask for them a pay $5 for then,,, but they loved them,,, i also just brought the a frame each that say i love my godfather,,,, i love my godmother,,, and wrote them a little thank you card....

if it doesnt make sence you can pm:D good luck

we bought printable magnets (in the fancy computer paper isle of Big W or Kmart) You can print what ever you like onto them.

Its a large A4 sheet thats perforated so after you run it through the printer you just break it up, similar to those business cards you can print off your computer (it made 10 magnets)
