G has been bitten by something... not sure what, but he has 3 bites on him that i can see right now.

The one on his forehead has swollen massive.... Tried to take a photo but he wont sit still. Its like he smashed his head - and then the bite is on top of that.

Dad said he is probably sensitive to what ever has bitten him... So out again with the antihistamine... Gosh that is my best friend lately!

Q. now is, when they do the skin pr!ck test for his food allergies, can we get some for common animals etc???

Im so so so over this!!! But then again - i guess Garrett is too!

I had a skin ***** allergy test a few months back, they tested for different food particles, dust mites, pollens as well as well as for dogs, cats, cockroaches etc. It was pretty thorough. i hope you get to the bottom of whatever is causing the allergy.

It looks like a mozzie bite... The causing the swelling looks alittle yellow at the base iykwim?!

Blah.... Reactions suck!

Most of the time when they're first bitten by something we do have big reactions as we're not used to having their poisen in our bodies. Cobey has grown out of his Mozzie allergy (hives) because as he's gotten older, he's had more bites and his body now have the appropriate defence mechanisms in place.

I know that you're on edge due to Garrett's food allergies, but hopefully I've put a bit of ease on your mind.

yeah, He's had mozzie bites before - with similar (but not as extreme reactions)...

Thanks for that info tho Seek :) He is sleeping peacefully now... funny that - with all the panadol (teething) antihistimine (for the reaction) in his system!

As the afternoon has gone on, all of the bite locations have swelled up massively... Even if it is nothing, we will be taking him to the doctor tomorrow - at least then it can be documented for the specialist...

I react like you are describing to certain mozzies. It sucks and is sooo embaressing - especially when they bite my face. :o

I react to mozzie bites, always have. I wish I'd grown out of it :( But certain locations always swell worse that others, like bites on my forehead or head turn into huge swollen bumps. I think there is just less fat and flesh to absorb the swelling.

I hope they can do some testing and get some answers for you.

Swelling has dropped alot... Cant get him into the dr until 3pm, but i dont think there is alot of point going then.

The one on his nose now looks like a giant pimple that is all yellow ick and about to burst...

I would still keep your GP appt and maybe they can take swabs or something. That swelling on the forehead looked really bad to me, I'm a bit of a panic merchant but think I woulda been down the A&E:o
Hope your little fella is better soon.:hugs:
