Hello to all mums in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie area, I am starting a new mothers/play group.

A bit about myself, my name is Renee and I am a mum of three beautiful boys aged 6 weeks, 21 months and three. I have a wonderful husband named Keith.

First time mums, third time mums, expectant mums, it doesn't really matter!! Mums with young babys, toddlers or three to five year olds.

My idea of a good mothers group or good friends, is a relaxed atmosphere, where everyone feels comfortable and welcome, where we get to have a laugh, a chat, share recipes, advice, opinions or even have a cry if you need to.

The idea is to get together once a week at an organised venue (the park, megamania, Mcdonalds, the pool, smartypants, museum) depending on the weather, location etc. to make it fair for everyone we will rotate the locations and suggestions are welcomed.

We will meet on a Friday at 9:30am, have some morning tea, or just a cuppa, get to know each other and each others children. This is about making new friends for yourself as well as your children.

If you like the sound of this and are thinking you might like to come along then please do!!! email me at renee_keith_b@hotmail.com and I will get back to you with a confirmed date for August.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Well the MG started just out of conversation with my sister, we get together alot with our children and always chat with other mums when we are out.

I suggested we start our own MG to meet some other mums and make some, hopefuly, lasting friendships.

So I told my sister in-law and she told her friend, and everyone is all for making some more friends that are mums!

I enjoy getting out with the kiddies, but I also enjoy interaction with other mums and just being a women and talking about everything and nothing. This gives us the opportunity to do both.

Everyone is welcome!!

Renee

the time can be flexible, or people can come at nine thirty and some at ten, ten thirty. It won't finish at a certain time, people can stay for hours or just one hour whatever works best for them and there little one. So if your little one needs a sleep by 11, then 9:30 would suit you, but if your travelling you can arrive a bit later.

It suits me to be out for as long as I can, so I will arrive early and leave late.

So its flexible.

Renee

What a great idea...you are very good to be starting this up and I also think that setting a regular day and time is fabulous for all. Then people can decide whether to come or not depending on how babies/kids/situations arise on the day. If you are organizing ...yes stick to a 9.30 start and we can all work around you!

Thanks again for organizing...i am free on a Friday and so would like to pop along and say
