what do you give your child when there sick

i as just wanting to know as my child has the start of the flu and she is 19 months and her month is sore to well thats what she tells me.

cool stuff? Like fluids but it may hurt when she swallows. Maybe an icypole or frozen juice (home made ones) would get some fluid into her.

cool will try that tomorrow as she is TRYING her best to go to sleep now but keeps waking up feel sorry for her.

does she have a temp? if her throats sore i cant imagine she would be comfy maybe give little panadol, i know when dd has the start of what was soon to be tonsilitis i gave her some panadol and she was alot more relaxed and settled.
