bad luck??

:wave: hello all...
im getting married in january and i get my dress today:smiliedance: , and i know its bad very bad luck for a groom to see the bride in her dress before the wedding but im wondering can the groom see the dress if there is noone in it?? or is that a big :no: :no: too??
id really like to know you opinions... maybe a poll coming here...

Well I am not superstitious, but do you think you'd be disapointed if DH already knew what the dress was like?

I can't keep a secret from my DH to save myself, and desperately wanted to show him my dress, cause I just loved it so much!

But I stayed strong, and didn't show him, and on the day I was so glad. He got to see me in my dress for the first time, with no pre-conceptions, and he was blown away! It made it all the more special.

But thats just my opinion! I think you should do whatever makes you happy, regardless of superstition! :)

I have TWO wedding dresses im trying to decide between and I ALWAYS ask DF's opinion on things and now i cant and its driving me nuts lol He is NOT seeing them though!!

He doesnt want to see them now anyway though which helps any temptations I might have lol :D

I'd wait til the big day for him to see!! :D

I dont believe in luck. So, I dont think it would be bad luck. HOWEVER, I do think it should be left a surprise for him :yes: It makes the moment he sees you wearing it on your big day way more special!!!

I don't think it's bad luck.

Dh saw me wearing the dress before we got married.
None of my friends could make it to the final fitting.. so DH came along. I needed his opnion as i was 5 months pregnant an dneeded to know how i looked.
But everyone beleives different. I personally don't think it's bad luck

I don't know about bad luck, but I think it spoils the surprise. I'd like the first time he sees the dress to be a "wow" moment.

DH saw mine before the day and yep with me in it. We got married overseas and everyone else flew out before us so he was the only one who could come to the final fitting.

Happily married - no bad luck here :)

Im with Anna07 and Vespera on this one DH saw my dress at the shop before I purchased it (we were looking at some designs and I wanted his opinion on the style he'd like, since it was mainly for him and me on the day) and he also seen it a couple of days before the wedding on as there was no one else to help with the final trial but I did have it slightly altered after he seen it on (the holden emblem that some may remember reading about or seeing in my photos) so it was still a surprise and im hoping that it didn't bring bad luck to us but im not superstitious and neither is DHValentine

DF has seen a picture of my dress online, but it was before I chose my dress and it looks completely different on.. There is no way I want DF seeing the real thing, or me in it before our wedding day...

I think its up to you! If you wanna show him do so, its only bad luck if you think it will cause bad luck!
