Any eastenders fans out there. we are addicted (corry too).:eek: Bring back phil!!
I watched it religously through my pregnancy and my twins turn to the telly when the music at the start comes on.

Yes, I love Eastenders, but I don't have Pay TV. I watched in growing up in NZ and then caught up with all the characters when I was in the UK a couple of years ago (they had all grown up!).

Now I watch it at a friends place when I can but I can only watch it when no one else wants to watch anything because they hate it.

They used to tape the Omnibus for me on the weekends but they have taken that off now, much to my disappointment so I just get the crumbs.

I love Alfie. :)

My mum gets all the English magazines and the latest storyline in the UK is that both Grant and Phil come back. (Yippee).

I haven't been paying close attention because a lot of the characters are new and haven't been seen in Aus so it doesn't make much sense when you read about them, but the Grant/Phil storyline goes something like:

Dirty Den gets murdered and buried under the Vic. His body is dug up on Sharon's wedding day to her step-brother Dennis. Sam gets framed for the murder and arrested and Peggy, Grant and Phil all arrive back in Albert Square to help out Sam.

I dont mind Kate but not too keen on the Ferrera's. I really liked Frank Butcher, what a great character. wish he comes back.

I heard from an English friend that the Ferrera family is written out of the show.

Alfie can't accept Kat's flirty ways, plus what happened with Andy, so Kat has gone away for a while so Alfie can decide what he really wants. I know in real life this actress went off to have a baby.

I lived in Scotland for 3 years, just moved back to australia a year ago, and i miss the soaps so much!! I must admit, i do prefer Corrie to Eastenders though lol. I've just heard that Tracy and Charlie run away together, and Fred and Bev have just got engaged, if anyone's interested!

Unfortunatly, i don't have cable here, so i don't get to see them very often, but i've seen all the eps that they're showing at the moment anyway!

I left England in Dec 2004 and was absolutely addicted to Eastenders. Got back to Australia and we were so far behind. I watched it last week and the episode that showed was one of the last ones I saw in England in 2004. We are so far behind.

I also love Kat and Alfie. Think they are great couple.

Alfie and Little Mo have something going...they really like each other, but after about a month of messing around behind everyones back Alfie decides he has to give it a go with Kat. But last I remember seeing on the website, they don't get it back on .

Poor Zoe, she is such a pretty thing. Apparently I read an article while in the UK and she suffers really bad depression (in real life) and has spoken out about it. I also like Alfies little bro, god can't remember his name. Zoe tries to get pregnant from Den so she can say it is Dennis's child.

I will try to summarise what has happened:

Little Mo was raped by a man called Graham who had started hanging around the pub. Charlie beat him up pretty badly and Charlie went to jail for it. Graham said he would only drop the charges if the Slaters paid him 5000 pounds. So, Alfie borrowed the money from Andy, who changed the repayment agreement and Kat had to sleep with him to pay the debt. Alfie & Kat could not get past this, so they eventually split.

Little Mo got pregnant when she was raped, and decided to keep the baby. Billy could not handle this, so she went away to have the bub. She came back into the show a couple of weeks ago for the rape courtcase. Graham was found guilty, and Billy and Mo have decided to be a family - but I do know it doesn't last!

From what Marcus said, Phil got himself involved with some pretty bad people (like that's something new for a Mitchell) and needed a lot of cash very quickly to get him out of trouble.

At first, it was assumed it was to buy his way out of the mess but, according to the last episode, it seems Phil is set to leave the country as soon as possible to escape whatever the issue is.

Marcus asks heaps of cash from Sam on the pretext that Phil needed the money. But what I know is that Marcus did a runner with the cash instead.

Yes, Phil does return to the show. Marcus is being paid by Andy to convince Sam to sell off all the Mitchell assets. He then takes all the money out of their joint bank account and divorces her. Phil has no idea about any of this.

Being English, I sit down and watch these two shows every day...sad I know.

My favourite is Corrie. The episode with the squirrels the other day, when Ashley turns round ready to go into the loft with goggles, a scarf, and his socks tucked into his trousers had me crying. Corrie knows how to mix humour with drama. Amazing scripts.

Does anyone realise that Charlie in Corrie is a psycho girlfriend beater? That is due to get really good. Tracy is welcome to him.

Eastenders is sad but good, but lets be honest..... a tad depressing. Getting exciting though at the mo.:ecomcity:

When i moved to the uk i preferred eastenders, and never even watched corrie...but now i have to say that corrie is my fave! I remember the squirrels...that was so funny!!

No, i don't think Sam gets the blame for killing Andy.....I don't remember so well, but i don't think anyone really seemed to get the blame lol, no one seemed to care!

I can't wait so I watch half, then BB then have to wait till 9 for the other half. We are off to the UK for 3 weeks next friday so I may have to get you all to do a big fill in for me when I get back. Im going to be so tempted to watch it over there as well but we are a year behind so I wont know what is going on.
I dont like this whole story line with Johnny and Tina, BORING, something needs to happen.
