Who has Baby Paws (all leather soft) shoes for their little one?? My ds is really starting to walk more than crawl lately and I need something for his feet when we are out or outside. I saw these shoes and thought they look perfect. Just some queries about them though.....

Are they slippery on smooth surfaces like tiles or floorboards??
Do they wear well? Are they suitable to be worn outside, like on concrete??

ANy opinions would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to spend $30 on something he ends up not wearing!!

I've tried the BabyPaws and although they're not bad, I wasn't completely satisfied with their quality. I much prefer Robeez (www.robeez.com.au) soft soled shoes. They are both based on the same principles so these answers apply to both brands.

Are they slippery on smooth surfaces like tiles or floorboards??
The brushed 'suede' side of the leather is used as the sole so they aren't as slipperly as having the regular side down. We've found they aren't as slipperly as plain cotton socks or some plastic soled shoes but they do have a little 'slip' to them especially when they are a bit grubby. For indoors I used to try and give DS as much shoe free time as possible.

Do they wear well?
We only used them when going out and since they grow so quickly, I've found they wear well. The best thing about the Robeez is that they are machine washable. After visiting my parents and getting trashed in the garden, I washed DS's shoes for our next visit and Mum thought I had bought a new pair because they were so sparkling white!

Are they suitable to be worn outside, like on concrete??
Yes but because the sole is so thin and soft it isn't too good on sharp gravelly surfaces.

Feel free to ask any more questions.

These shoes are fantastic, i used them all the time for DD1.
My sister bought them for me and i am going to use them for DD2 as well, i purchased another pair from the OP Shop ( Vinnies) for $3.
IF you wash them, hand wash as they run a lot. I made this mistake and i had pink runs on a lot of clothes.

Yep love the baby paws!

They are worth it ( I know I was like $30:eek: ) but they are great and worth the money.

I will be buying them again when we have bub no.2 :)
