I have just had my third child but there is a 10 year gap from the last one to this one as I have recently married for the second time. I have a 12 year old daughter, a 10 year old son and a 4 week old son. Hope all is going well with your family.

Hi Shaz
Congratulations and the best of luck with your new arrival, i bet you cannot wait? I have a 13 yr old 9 year old and a 10 month. I was 10 days off my 43rd birthday when I had Michael, my other two are adopted so he is biologically my first. I have loved every moment of it, it can be very tiring and demanding especially trying to please the older two at the same time as looking after a yound baby, but I felt as if you have more time to appreciate so much more being an older mum. I'm married for the second time around and it has been difficult especially as we have just moved to Perth from UK and have no family network around us, but I would not be without my children. Keep in touch and let me know haw you are getting on. Do you know what you are expecting? boy or girl? Mandy (Abbeyhey) :)

Hi, we have a lot in common. My children range in ages from nearly 17 down to three. I haven't really had a gap, although there was a 5 year gap between the last two. Wouldn't mind having another. My eldest may leave home next year when he finishes school.

Hi ladies!
I'm 35 and mum to Elizabeth Rose (4 months old). She is my first child and this is my first marriage. My hubby is 44 and his 2nd marriage (but only true marriage, he reckons). He has 2 sons 16 and 14 to 1st wife, and they visit us usually every 2nd weekend ( when their social lives permit! -you know how it is!). I don't know any other mums my age with first babies, and most of my friends either have older kids or none at all, so it would be good to chat with others with young babes.
Hi all
I'm new to this so bear with me!
I'm 40, and pregnant with baby #3. We have 2 boys aged 12 and 9............and yes same marriage! In fact it's our 14th wedding anniversary today!
I don't FEEL old, but compared to some of the young chicky babes I see around and at my sons schools, I MUST be!

Hi All,
I am now 38 and I was 35 when I had my first ( he is 3 1/2 yrs) and nearly 38 for my second (she is 7 mo). My hubby is 47.
Luckily my mum's group range between 30 and 38 so we are all a bit older. The biggest difference is that my hubby is quite a bit older than the other dads (who tend to be the same age as their partners - trust me to pick an old one!!) so he feels that he doesn't fit in.
Anyone else have this problem?

My husband is 52. When our 11 year old was born, some of his late starter friends had children. People he had worked with for many years. So they sometimes met up at school functions to catch up with each other. I am 41. I was going to use our prime minister Mr MacMahon as an example for my husband to follow, he says he doesn't count. Julian turned out alright though!
Hi,
Cathy and I were both 39 when we had our first child (and we started going out at 16 and married at 24). My only brother who is two years older, also started late and we were both expecting our first baby on Christmas Day 2000. You can imagine our parents had given up on every having grandkids so were a bit overwhelmed when they discovered they were expecting two on the same day.
We're luck that we habe quite a few friends who a just a few years younger than us also had children at within a few years so there are quite a few children in our circle of friends.
It is a bit scary to think that in 2021 it will be Cathy and my 60th birthdays, our 35th wedding anniversary, Jasmine's 21st and Alexa's 18th  It will be quite a big year.
We're loving being parents and find it all pretty special.
Have a good Easter.

I don't usually think that far ahead Graeme. 2021 wow. Is it 16 years ahead? Let's see. I will be 57, how come I am younger than you? Hubby 68 and retired? Married 36 years, kids 32, 30, 27, 24 and 19. Nope, no big milestones that year. It is interesting though isn't it? Add three years to make me 60 and hubby will be past 70 and one will be celebrating a 30th birthday.
Cathy and I must have too much time on our hands to think through these sorts of things! But it is fun.

I know where some of you are coming from, I'm 35 and my husband is 59 this month, we have been together nearly 19 years and he has children aged 37 -12 years old (yes 2 of them are older than me) but we all get along really well and I wouldn't change a thing.
