Can anyone point me in the direction of a chemist in Brisbane selling the Rotavirus oral vaccine at a cheaper price than $85 per dose?

Our budget is really tight, and our bub has missed out on receiving the vaccination for free because he was born 5 days before the vaccine went on the immunisation register!

Is anyone else in the same boat? :wave:

But the cheapest chemist around is called chemist warehouse.. ring them and see...

Thanks for your advice, I will call them and also good price pharmacy as they're just around the corner. Not sure that they are cheap though - but worth a try...

I have rung about half a dozen pharmacies and the cheapest chemist to buy this Rotateq Vaccine is Carina Day and Night Pharmacy. The difference is about $10 per dose.
I've included the link to Immunise Australia's info on this nasty gastro bug that hospitalises about 10,000 babies/children per year, mostly with severe dehydration.

Its really going around at the moment. I found out today that my friend's 6 month old was admitted to hospital last night with it!
I hope this info will help someone.

Hi, I have just recently got my daughters immunisations done, but got the ROTARIX Oral vaccine.. It cost me $105.00 from our local pharmacy. I have been told then second dose will cost me $96.80 at my GP's Office. My Daughter also missed out by around 3 weeks.. It makes me really MAD!. :mad: .
