View Full Version : Flower girl dresses
I want to get matching dresses for both my daughters. I'm having trouble finding things that match because Elora is about a 3-4 and Natalia is about a 0-1. The only dresses I have found that will be the same in their sizes are around $170 each. I would prefere to spend under $100 each. Any sugestions?

Have you tried Ebay? My cousin got the flowergirl dresses from there - they are absolutely beautiful and cost her about $80 each (new). They have sizes ranging from 1 through to 10.
Good luck.

My mum is a dress maker and is making my girls dresses, they're a size 1 and 2 so easy to match!
Purple pumpkin often has matching flowergirl dresses in a large assortment of sizes.
Getting them made for you means you can ahve the exact dress you want for them though and made to measure! :D
My girls are having pink silk smocked dresses with roses embroidered onto them with matching little jackets :D They look GORGEOUS and will be a keepsake forever and I am assured that no litte girl will ever have the same dress lol :D

Gymboree currently have special occasion dresses from size 3mths to 5 years...

It's an American brand so you'd have to convert the dollars (the Aussie dollar is currently buying 0.87USD) and then you have the postage cost, but their quality is second to none and their size charts are really spot on.
This site has lots of great items.

I got my flower girl dress from the place i got my wedding dress! They had a rack of dresses that had be worn before (nothing at all wrong with them) and i got mine for $50! What a bargin! Mum is going to make it match in with the bridesmaids dresses by putting the same colour pink and also some crystals on it.
Might be worth a look around maybe, there was 4 other diff sizes in the same dress i got too!
Good luck with finding them!
Thanks for you help. I have not had luck so far. Nothing on ebay in the right sizes.
I went to 2 myers and they don't have the same ones in the 2 sizes i need, Elora is a size 3 so she is in the big girl section and natalia is a 0-1 so she is in the baby section.
Went to 4 bridal shops today and no one has the sizes i need either. One place could order me in some ugly dress, in not a colour i wanted for $310 each  .
I have found a couple of websites but nothing under $100 each. Looks like I will be paying heaps to get something I like.
Might go to a tailor tomorow and see what they say about prices ect.
The girls will look gorgeous no matter what they wear i know.

There is a little shop here in Brisbane which usually sells on ebay - they are reasonably priced, I'll see if I can track down the name of the shop for you .... maybe they can email stuff to you. They have baptism and flowergirl dresses.
I'll see what I can find.

That was quick .... found it straight away.
Babes to Brides (http://www.babestobrides.com.au/)
It says they stock 00 to size 16 for girls .... website doesn't have too much on it, but maybe they can email stuff to you. This is the store my cousin got her flowergirl dresses from - via Ebay at the time.
Hope it helps.
Thanks NIc71.
I'm just about to have a look.
I have also found an american website that has the dress similar to what i have wanted. I converted the dollers and with postage i should be able to get them for $80 each.
My dress took me 10 min to find and buy. The girls dresses are the ones i'm obessed with. i'm like a bridzilla for flower girls.

i brought extra matching material with my bridesmaids dresses (one was very pregnant so we had to do a little alteration) we did get a couple of metres extra and my mum just sewed a dress for dd inn a similar style to the bridesmaids dresses. might be the easiest way to do it. and the cheapest.
