Howdy  I'm Faeml - Known as Wendy when I'm not parked in front of my computer.

I'm in Brisbane and I live with my DH, and our beautiful daughters, Sarah and Becky. We also have a very crazy looking dog named Kormos (http://faeml.com/sarah/wp-content/uploads/2007/01/garden4.jpg) - who has dreadlocks and quite often is sporting T Shirt.

I discovered Bubhub by accident while I was pregnant with Sarah and finally stopped lurking a few days after she was born. What I liked about it the most in the beginning is that I could post things like "OMG! My baby is doing... is that normal?" and within minutes I'd have lots of people reassuring me that my child was, in fact, not a freak and that I could try X Y Z to get around it :)

My earliest memory is.... probably moving house with my parents when I was in preschool. We were moving from my Aunt's house into our own place.

I wish I had.... a winning lotto ticket with just enough money to pay off our house. I'm not greedy. Ok, ok, maybe a little left over for a holiday.

My happiest memory is.... one evening when I was living in Armidale. I'd just gotten back from a 3 semester exchange with a uni in Austria. I was putting away the chairs at the cafe that I had part time job at, when I looked up at the stars and realised for the first time that I was "content" with my life as it was. I had a job - and therefore money, I was finishing my degree, I'd made some lovely new friends at uni, I taking music lessons again and I was about to head to Sydney for 3 weeks as a volunteer at the Olympics. And then, not long after that, I met the man who'd become my DH two years later!

My most humiliating moment was.... so many to choose from :o Somehow dropping the mouthpiece of my bass clarinet mid concert - and having it crack and split right up the middle was not a lot of fun!

My last meal would be.... that's a tough one. I don't think I'd like to know it was my last meal, I don't think I'd taste anything! I love sushi though.

When I was a child I wanted to.... I was one of those kids who never knew what she wanted to be when she "grew up" Still don't!

It's not fashionable but.... I'm a big John Farnham fan!

The last big belly laugh I had was.... listening to my friend tell me that her 3.5 year old DD had announced to her Kindy that she'd had to get her Daddy pajamas for his birthday because he didn't have any and had to sleep in his spiderman undies...

If I were a car I'd be.... I'd rather be a motorbike, actually

If I wasn't me I'd like to be.... my dog. He's got the good life.

1. Are you married or single?
I'm married - have been for a few years now. Less for murder ;)

2. What sort of birth did you have?
To quote Veve, both my girls came out the window cos the door is broken.

3. Preferred parenting style?
A mixture of everything - I do what works for us.

4. Do you have brothers and sisters?
I have one sister & she's Sarah's most favouritest person in the whole wide world. I kid you not, she said "Auntie Cole" before she said "Mum".

5. * Are they older or younger than you?
She's younger by a couple of years.

6. Have you ever met a famous person?
Umm, I got Gillian Anderson's autograph once. I saw Chelsea Clinton (and her swarm of body guards) at the Olympics in Sydney when I was down there as a volunteer.

7. What countries have you visited?
OOooo my chance to have a little boast :D Scotland, England, Wales, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Lichtenstein, Switzerland... I spent three semesters at a university in Austria as a part of my degree, and while that list sounds very glamorous (and I'm darn proud of it!) most of it was done by eating very little other than bread, sleeping in train stations and on people's floors whenever I could. I once walked from one end of Paris to the other because I didn't have enough money for the subway. And the only food I had was the 3 day old stale bread I'd carried with me from Rome.

8. What do you do on Sundays?
I like to try and do things as a family, especially as Saturdays are so freaking busy!

9. What kind of people do you not like?
Overly competitive and vindictively mean people.

10. Who has had the most influence in your life?
Umm... that's a tough one. There have been different people at different times. At primary school it was my grade 5 teacher, Mrs Moore - who still rates as my all time favourite teacher.

11. Would you like to be famous?
No, not really. Wouldn't mind being rich though!

12. How many different towns or cities have you
lived in?
I've lived for at least a year or so in Brisbane, Armidale, Klagenfurt and Shrewsbury.

13. Which do you prefer, sunrises or sunsets?
Sunsets... I'm NOT a morning person.

14. What was the last book you read?
From cover to cover? "Northern Lights"

15. What's your favorite food?
Sushi

16. Do you live in a house or an apartment/flat or
other?
I live in a tiny little house.

17. How tall are you?
About 163cm according to my licence. I must have had big shoes on that day.

18. What are your hobbies?
I play Bass Clarinet in a concert band here in Brisbane. I also spend a lot of time on my computer, talking to my friends of an evening.

19. What's something you do well?
I'd like to think I play pretty well :) I'm not a terrible cook either.

20. Which sports do you like to watch/play?
I did weightlifting at high school (I even got to the national titles!) and at uni I played rugby union - yes full contact rugby. Broke my hand playing and everything. I don't watch a lot of sport, but I do make a point of watching the State of Origin every year and I like seeing the Olympics/Commonwealth Games on TV.

21. Are you a 'morning' or 'night' person?
Night, without a doubt. I detest mornings.

22. What is your motto?
"This too shall pass"
