Is it normal for this to continue. At first I just thought it was teething but DS has had a runny nose for 3 or 4 weeks. There is no colour to it but it is a bit thick and driving everyone (especially him) insane.

Is it time for a trip to the Doc?

Does he go to kindy?
My DD had a runny nose pretty much constantly when she was at kindy. She hasn't been there for a month and hasn't had a runny nose once.I would just take him to the doc and get him checked out.

No, no child care - he's still on a waiting list, in this area possibly till he is 18!!

It could be a sign of an ear infection. Dd1 had them all the time and her only symptom was a runny nose. I think maybe take him to the Dr's and get a check up, can't hurt.

I would say in the cold winter mths a runny nose is for a mth or 2 is normal. Unfortuantly there is not much you can do:no: I do find the fess saline spray helps to clean out the nose.

My ds had the runny nose on and off for 3 months. We went to the doc and we got given some antibiotics and he hasen't had it since.
Go to the doc to find out if there is and underlying prob.

I decided to give him some dimetapp for a couple of days and see what happens - if it doesn't improve tomorrow I'm taking your advice and heading to the GP - it's driving us all insane :banghead:
