Do You have these convos with your DH, DF, DP?????

I do...

not morbid ones... but more like.

"Have you been listening to the names I like? Coz if I die in childbirth, I don't want you naming him something like Chuck!!"

"It would be nice if he had the name I chose for him... as a last parting gift"

And then I make him repeat the names I like.... and the girls ones too.... just in case. LMAO

Is it just me????? That's my main worry... if I don't live to name my bubba... that he ends up with a name I'd hate, that has no connection to me at all!

Poll Coming.

I had a 'moment' a while back (as you do when you're pg)

When I was like " If I die, and you remarry one day... if you have a daughter to that relationship then you'll forget all about me!!!!!!! *insert pathetic pregnant woman crying here*"

(AS DH would really love a little girl)

DH just looked at me......

and said.. "Sweetie, if you died that would it be it.. I'd be too busy raising my three sons to be looking for another wife.... and I think one is plenty.. it's taken me 5 years to get used to living with you, I don't want to go through that again..."

I have tried, even to talk about a will etc. DH absolutley refuses to discuss us dying.

I have sort of said little things and we know names etc but we really need to discuss things like, if we both die where would the kids go, who gets what etc

Am trying to bring him up to the discussion, but so far, no good!

Just to say, my Mum's Mum died in childbirth with her 9th child. My Mum was 1 at the time. The govt back then didn't let the kids go home. They all went to an orphanage and until about 5yrs ago had never, all 9 of them slept under the same roof because my Uncle who was just born stayed in hosp for about a fortnight before going to the orphanage and the other 7 girls and 1 boy went to other fam memebrs for a couple of nights before going to the orphanage.
I always think how heartbreaking that must have been for my Pop. He ended up an alcholholic and died when I was 6 so I never really knew him but it is amazing to think they did that to him! One minute you've got a wife and 8, almost 9 kids, the next...NOTHING!
