Hi all. This is my first time ever on a forum like this but I am feeling much better reading about other peoples stories and all of the positive support and replies are up lifting.:smiliedance: I am just starting my quest for a donor as like many of us I am really ready (understatement to be sure!!!) to be a mother and am hoping there is an angel out there who can help me with my dreams. As a couple we have tried numerous IVF treatments and the only option now is to find a donor as I am classified as a poor responder and am now over 40. We are really hoping that this is our first step towards a new little life which we wish to create and give a wonderful home. We are a loving couple with much to give a new bub and are living in hope that our angel will contact us soon. Sending best wishes to all and look forward to hearing from you all cheers!

Just thought I would be brave and update my add on this forum. Here I go. Writing straight from the heart!

I love butterflies, puppies, fluffy kittens, sunshine, laughter and fun with friends. I am definitely a girl who is very blessed I have an amazing partner, a wonderful family, supportive and trusting friends and the most cutess little dog of all. As an early childhood teacher I have cherished the children with whom I have worked helping them to learn, develop confidence and grow into inspired little people full of wide eyed fun. I believe I have always seen the world around me so positive and new very much through the eyes of a child. Now it is my turn to dream I always believed that when it came to my time to have a beautiful child of my own it would just come naturally through the love that my partner and I deeply share but this was not to be. I have learnt through many ivf cycles, so many heart aches and disappointments that nature sometimes needs a helping hand. As I am a private person who has always given readily with love to others it is alittle unusual for me to ask for help from another. But I have been fortunate to see through Bub Hub that there are many wonderful donor angels who are happy to support others in their quest to become a family unit. I believe that my donor angel is out there waiting to help in making my dreams come true. My partner also has the strength to believe and hope as he comes from a very large family of many children we are hoping to add our little spirit to the brood and can hardly wait to become loving parents as we have waited and waited so long. As we hold each other tight and dream of becoming parents to a precious little life we pray and wait with wishes of happiness. If you are the donor angel sent down from heaven to help us in becoming parents we are looking forward to hearing from you. Sending butterfly kisses and baby dust until then. Looking forward to a special connection with our donor angel and a future full of special surprises. We dare to dream and hope.:wizard:

I am a 47yr old Mum to a girl aged 25 (today), a son aged 22 both conceived naturally when I was young. I now also have a beautiful son conceived with donor eggs and in my second marrage. Can I suggest another site to have a look at and see some of the negative issues which can surround anonymous donation? Please try looking at Australian Donor Conception Forum and also around January 08 our family will be part of a documentary on SBS along with a few others who I feel will be very interesting to watch - the donor conceived adults themselves and their opinions on the matters. There are so many fors and againsts. I do not regret for a moment bringing this beautiful child into our lives and I love him with all my heart and soul but in being true to him and giving him the truth about his biological background I basically had to "invite" another woman into our marrage and family. We were lucky - my donor and I - once we met - got along well but there has been alot of adjusting and deepere issues. There is so much to think about and the feelings of any prospective child is very much one of those things. I know where you are - I too was there. The yearning and hoping is indescribeable. I wish you luck but also hope you understand fully and look into how DC people feel as well.

How goes it my cyberpal. Just wondering how you are getting on. Mad busy here cleaning up after the builders - helps to take my mind off my dreams if only for a little while. I have this feeling that our angel is just around the corner - cool if we could cycle at the same time - come on you angels we are over here.

:wave: How goes it my friend? Renovations are coming along fine. The builders have finished, the electrician comes on Monday to put back the lights and then we need to find a plasterer. 2 have let us down, grrrr. :hair:

Happy to say that I have found my donor and we are in talks at the moment. You will see on AED who it is but I am very excited. Means I have to travel to Aussie but it is definitely worth the chance we will have. :party: :party:

Whether the angel will stay involved, wants to stay involved? whether you want them to stay involved.
