Hello all

Im Kat, wife to Steven, and mum to Oliver (18.04.06) and the Fur Kids (Dozer and Drake). I am 25 years old and have been happily married for nearly 7 years.

Im pregnant with my second human child...due in September 2008.

My husband, child, fur kids and I live on a small farm (260 acres) of bush and pasture in the Central West Highlands of Tasmania.

We have 3 cows, 1 hen, 1 rooster, 2 dogs (our fur kids) and about 2 MILLION wallabies, possums and rabbits.

My earliest memory is:
Walking down the stairs at the house Mum and Dad used to own at Paramatta. We had a potter who lived in the basement, and I used to walk down and visit with him! I was about 2.

I wish I had:
Enough money to hire a builder to build our house from start to finish. A 'yak for Steven, and NO MORE MORNING SICKNESS FOR ME!!!!

My happiest memory is:
My wedding day. I was so happy to be marrying the man I love! And finding out that I was pregnant with my beautiful young son! (I was too exausted after labour to be happy! :o)

My most humiliating moment was:
Getting drunk at a work function, and throwing up in Steven's work ute all the way home. I learned a valuable lesson, dont mix diets and drinking...!!!

My last meal would be:
Mums Roast Lamb, with Crispy Potatos, Mint Sauce, Sweet Pumpkin, and Broad Beans!

When I was a child I wanted to:
Be Nancy Drew! Oh, I also wanted to be an astronaught, a pilot, a scientist, a race car driver, a..... You get the picture, right?!

It's not fashionable but I love:
Country Music, Trackpants, dancing in the rain!

The last big belly laugh I had was:
Driving home last night with Steven... I just started giggling because he told me I sound like Fran on the Nanny... I laughed so hard I was bawling, and HE was stiring me up more. Not very nice! :p

If I were a car I'd be:
A NEW Hilux Dual Cab Ute. Its practical but has lots of ompfh! Plus its still a pretty nice looking car!

If I wasn't me I'd like to be:
One of my dogs, eat, sleep, eat, sleep, get pats, eat, sleep, pats.... Yeah, its a dogs life! And I WANT it!

Hi there!

Im Kat, mum to Oliver (18.4.6), George (26.9.8) and the fur kids.

I tend to ramble a bit, and dont always (Okay, rarely) make sense, even if Im trying too!... Motherhood has fried my brain, most goldfish have a better memory than me.

Im probably way to boring, but if you want to know more about me, please read on!

_______________________________

Are you married, partnered or single?
Married since May 2001 to the love of my life. (Yep, that made me 18!!)

What sort of birth did you have?
Both my boys were delivered via ventouse with an Epidural, after complicated labours.

Preferred parenting style?
I guess Im a bit of everything. I belive in routine, and the occasional smack. Ive used both cloth and disposable nappies, and breast and bottles. I vax my child, and only work part time so that I dont have to have him in care. I'm letting him lead the way for toilet training, but belive in controlled crying in moderation. So yep, a bit of everything.

Do you have brothers and sisters?
Yes, but I was "adopted" when I was only a couple of months old, and have never had any real contact with any of them. I occasionally see one of my sisters, but we are like chalk and cheese and were already pretty much grown up when we were first able to meet, so we dont have that strong bond that most siblings would have.

Are they older or younger than you?
Im the oldest by 3 years, there is about a 3 year gap between each of us. Me, Sister, Brother, Sister, Brother... Unsure... LOL

Have you ever met a famous person?
Ive met the Premier of Tasmania and various other polly's through my work. But no movie stars or anything.

What countries have you visited?
Nowhere. Homebody with a passion right here! Steven and I hope to be able to go to NZ in a couple of years with the kiddies though.

What do you do on Sundays?
If we are really good, we go to church. Most of the time we just spend time with our friends and family, or do the jobs around the house that get neglected all week.

What kind of people do you not like?
People who are spiteful, arrogant, or intollerant of other peoples ideas, or feelings.

Who has had the most influence in your life?
I couldn't pick just one person. Mum and Dad, plus my Husband and Child. They have all shaped me so much. Without them, I wouldn't be even close to the woman I am today. They are inspirational.

Would you like to be famous?
No thank you! Enough said!!!

How many different towns or cities have you lived in?
Adelaide, Sydney, Coolah, Dover, Goodwood, Claremont, Margate, Gordon, Hamilton... That makes a few hu? :)

Which do you prefer, sunrises or sunsets?
Sunrises. It means that a new day is begining, fresh and clear with so many new blessings and chances in it.

What was the last book you read?
20,000 Baby Names. But before then it was some trashy romance.

What's your favorite food?
I dont have a favorite. Think of me as Anthony off the Wiggles!

Do you live in a house or an apartment/flat or other?
Other - We live in a shed at the moment. Its the interm to our dream house in the country! We have the country, now we just need the house. :D

How tall are you?
This should be "How Short Are You?"... Im only 5ft 2in or 157cm. Oliver is going to be taller than me by about age 10 if he keeps growing like he is!

What are your hobbies?
BubHub, WebDesign.... I dont really have any hobbies, go through fads at times, made jewellery for a while, tried to write, etc, but always lose interest.

What's something you do well?
Love my family and cook a roast dinner.

Which sports do you like to watch/play?
Love to watch AFL... but I dont play sports, way to unco!

Are you a 'morning' or 'night' person?
Im just a person! Dont really have a best time of day, it depends on my mood and what has happened. If I have a great nights sleep then Im definately a morning person. If I have a good day, then Im a night person. Maybe Im just plain moody! HEHE

What is your motto?
Life is all about choices. You may not be able to control what happens to you, but you can have control over the way it makes you feel.
