Hi all- just me again!!

Full of worries I am  can you tell i'm a first time mum! LOL

Imy had her 6mth needles yesterday- and she was fine during them, and for the whole day (a lttle grizzly but nothing major) but last night--- OMG she dd not sleep for more than 15-20mins in a stetch:eek:!!!

tonight she went to bed at 730pm APU and woke screaming at 800pm- and it took me until 845pm to resettle her- sobbing and cuddling in my arms????? I gave her panadol as she had a temp of 38.2* but I don't know if that was because of all the screaming???

Is this normal for 6mth needles??? She didn't have this at all for the first too lots??

Or could it be something else i should be checking for?????

One confused and helpless mummy here....:(

My DS was fine for all of his needles except for the 6 month ones. He had a fever on and off for two days. It may have been coincidence but I think it's related.

Watch her during the night and if you're still worried, run her up to the Dr in the morning.

We all feel helpless when our bubs are unwell. Always follow your gut instinct.:)

Yeah all mine where like that, Just give her pandol when needed, give heaps of cuddles also if she is really hot and the pandol isn't working give her a luke warm bath to bring the temp down. Hope this helps. Good luck

Tag team panadol & neurofen as needed if the temp stays up ! This is a fine combo so dont stress.
Otherwise bath her if she gets really bad & head to the doctor if needed as in if she becomes very listless weak, refuses food or liquids.
The other thing to do is keep an eye on her legs with the lumps from the injection site if they become red & warm use a cold face washer to keep her comfy when needed & just make sure it doesnt get yuck IYKWIM otherwise again straight to the doctor.
Most babies tend to have a drama with their 6mth needles maybe because they are more aware of it hurting who knows i was lucky with bubs he only had a slight temp & no other probs but we now have to see how the 12mths go heh
Bubs will be feeling off until her system copes with it all poor thing i know its hard just stick with it & remember its for the greater good ! :)
Good luck.

Hey Shannan,

Oz had his needles on Monday but as you know, he was sick afterwards with a tummy bug anyway. Perhaps the needles made him worse, who knows. I know with his first two lots of needles he got a slight temp and was very restless overnight. I guess just lots of cuddles and some panadol is all you can do, but trust your instincts and if something doesn't feel right then take her to see someone.
