temping question ????

im just wondering how much of a rise in temp you need to show ovulation and does it have to get to certian temp ??i have had a dip to 35.7 on day 15 and then risen to 36.2 on day 16 and am now on day 19 and have risen to 36.7???

Hi there,

Generally its about .4 degrees F or .2 degrees C to register, but it really depends on your temps prior to ovulating. Every person is different and every cycle is generally different, so its important to go with your cervical mucus signs as well. It sounds like you may have ovulated on day 15....did your temps stay elevated from then until day 19? If so, I would say with some certainty that you did O. Do you chart online? If conception has occured your temp will remain up. Some women however will stay elevated until there next period. So If it remains high when it wouldn usually its a good sign.
