Hey guys,

My name is Jess, Im 21 with a 9 month old son. Im moving to a new area soon so its gonna be hard to make friends around my age, so I thought i would give this a try! Lol.
Im a single mum as well, so its hard to 'get out' and meet ppl while bubby is so young.
Hope to hear from some of you!

Jess

Hey everyone,
Thanks for replying! Banora Point is a part of Tweed Heads, lol, I had never heard of it before as well! How is everyone coping being a mum? I love it, but I do admit there are times I think What the hell am I doing? I have mild PND due to getting out of an abusive relationship pregnant, so Ive had some tough times, but I really do love my son and am trying to give him the best future I can.
Well thats enough of me rattling on and on!

Talk to you soon,

Jess

Hey there! Welcome to this place and congrats on your little boy! I too am a single mum to an almost 9 month old daughter. I can't believe how fast they grow. It wasn't long ago I too was new to this site and scared to death.

IT's all good now though. Seem to have gotten ourselves used to each other and in a routine (kinda!)

I love being a single mum, but I do admit that it sometimes gets lonely and it is hard to meet new people, especially quality people!

Anyway, I wish you luck and hopefully I "see" you around here more often! :p

i love being a mum,,, its very excited but very hard at times,,, i also had/have pnd... so many different emotions after having a baby... its hard to keep up with them...lol

how r u finding becoming a mum and being a single mum????

how great is motherhood? i'm loving watching my lochie grow everyday. the new things that he discovers on a daily basis. Yes it can be tough being a single mum, but i've decided that we're better off.

i only want a man to kill spiders :D take out the bin oh and mow the lawns...

sorry to hear you guys have suffered from slight pnd, but i'm sure you'll both get through it.

it's funny though i have friends it's different now i have bub. you kinda decide that you want/need different friends. But then it is hard to make new ones cause you cant go out and meet them now that you do have bub. a wierd cycle....

anyway i'm always up for chats

I love motherhood, i reckon i was born to do it lol. I have an easy baby, which has helped, and wouldnt change a thing about the way my life is now!
He doesnt have a father so to speak, so its just me and him for now, so Im going to make the most of my bonding sessions with him! Lol
I have no friends with bubs, and the friends I did have no longer speak with me, so I understand where u are coming from mummy sam.
I still cant believe that my little man is 9 months, I have to plan his first bday soon, which im dreading lol. Doesnt time fly?? One minute hes this fragile little (or big lol) newborn the next he is this hyperactive, squealing baby!

most of my mates have baby,,, but not many are single mums,,, they are always telling me 'oh it must be hard',,,, 'tyler is better of',,, and as much as i love my friend they dont really know what its like to do it on your own....

i have great support from mates and my family,,, but in the end it is just me and tyler,,,, [thats cool with me] one day i would like to met a man but that can wait i guess.....

Im freaking out all ready that lochie is almost 4 mths let alone you Jess with a 9mth. i cant believe how fast the time has flown.

Ive got 1 friend with a bub whos 1 in may but we never see each other cause shes back at work and has to make time for her partner let alone friends.
my other ones didnt want me to have bub but they came round, i've come to realise how much our friendships revolved around going out and drinking, so i dont really see them anymore cause i dont do that anymore.

but i think they say that babies and marriage test your friendships and thats when you find out who your real ones are, or something like that

i have a question in your picture of tyler is he eating? i'm wondering only cause his couple of weeks younger than lochie, and i;m starting to think that maybe if he had some rice cereal maybe he'll sleep better and maybe go off by himself not in my arms?? just something i've been thinking about
