Ergo for a 15mth old?

Ive been looking at new prams but after reading an article somewhere have wondered if maybe it would be easier to get something like an ergo since Matilda always wants to be acarried or picked up . .

do you think it would be worth it for a 15mth old?? She only weights 11 kgs so isnt a huge girly.

Does anyone use it for their toddlers? Would it be easy to do on your own as thats all there is .. me . .

Asher is coming up to 11kgs now and is a breeze to carry around in the ergo. I love mine.

I think they can carry up to 20kgs but that's just the marketed safe limit. There are pictures on the net with people carrying their old and infirm family members around in them who would obviously weigh more than 20kgs.

I'm on my own during the day with my 18 month old and its easy as. I use the bus to get into town and its much easier than folding down a pram.

I use the front position mainly for bussing it into town, but have done the back on my own too. Very easy and worth it!

I didn't get mine until my youngest DS was more than 18 months and I have had heaps of use out of it. I still carry him in it now and he is 3 and 15kgs as well as my DS2 who is 4 and 19 kgs. I can't carry him for very long anymore - he is too heavy. But I love my ergo and reach for it over the pram every time. My little guy says "Wanna go in de ergo" and carries his teddy around in a little one I made for him. Too cute!

Thanks guys . . this might be a better option then the pram and means she gets to be close to mum as well which would hopefully mean less whinging and tears.

And they have good resale value too if I dont find a man for another baby anytime soon hehe
