Breastfeeding & the Mini Pill

Hi Ladies/Mods.. apologies If i've posted this in the wrong section

Are there any breastfeeding mums out there who take the mini pill?

I thought it was perfectly safe to take till a chemist advised me yesterday it can affect the baby's growth :confused:

For some women it works well, for other's (like me) it doesn't. It really messed with my head and milk supply, so I stopped taking it. We were planning 2 babies anyway :)

i haven't heard of it affecting babies growth, it may affect milk supply, perhaps this is what they meant.

I take and have not had a problem with my baby's growth. She is 7 months and weighed 8.49 kg last time I weighed her (1 month ago). She has always stayed around the 90th percentile on the graph in the back of the baby book.

Hi, i used the mini pill with all my bubs and all of them grew just fine!! But i did fall preg while feeding my 3rd, so now we have 4 bubs!!

I used it with mine and have no problems with milk supply and bubs is growing at a rate of knots

I also took the mini pill and my milk supply was HUGE! It may affect a small percentage of people tho.
