I would love to include more lentils in our diet.

Does anyone have any good recipes? I would love a lentil burger recipe and one for dahl.

Do you soak your lentils or buy cans?

We use mainly red lentils... they don't require soaking.

I will have a dig through my recipes and post you something tomorrow!

Sorry, I don't have any recipies, but we use red lentils quite often.
We add them to most mince dishes- like bolognaise, hamburger strog, chili con carne, etc. We also had them in a lovely vegetable stew-type thing that DH cooked tonight... tomatoes, onion, garlic, carrot, potato, kidney beans and red lentils.. thicken the sauce up a bit and yummo!

Red lentils cook a bit like rice- they need a bit of extra liquid in the dish for them to soak up and soften in. We like 'em  :D

i use the tin of lentils when i make a spag bol dish.

make your spag bol as per normal, add grated carrots, chopped potato's, zucchini, beans and lentils.

I serve this with rice instead of pasta though. Can add more veges too.

If you have a slow cooker, try adding them when you do a casserole or something, thickens it up and has the extra vitimins
