Feeding - how much, how often etc??

Nick seems to be feeding less often ATM, i think it's just a 3month change type thing, but he is usually only having 5 bf's per day, sometimes 6, and it now sleeping up to 8hrs at a time overnight :smiliedance: . I was wondering hwat everyone elses feeding patterns are and if bubs is sleeping overnight or not?

If demand fed - is there some sort of pattern or is it still erratic? pattern - 5am, 8am, 1pm, 4pm, 7-8pm. (varies on some days, but basically that is it) Sometimes there is a 2am feed int here too.
Do you change the schedule at certain ages or wait for bubs signals? Demand - so bubs decides
How long is each feed? 30-70mins
How many feeds per day? 5-6
Is bubs sleeping longer at night? how long? Yes, mostly 9-5am, no waking, but sometimes 9-2am, then 2-5/6ish.

If demand fed - is there some sort of pattern or is it still erratic? he is pretty much all over the place. Some days he will go for 5 or 6hrs without wanting a bottle, other days he will be wanting one every 1.5-2hrs.

How long is each feed? it takes him about 10mins to finish a bottle.

Is bubs sleeping longer at night? how long? for the first half of the night, he can go for about 7hrs, for the second half, only 2-3hrs.

Do you change the schedule at certain ages or wait for bubs signals? When she starts solids I will get her into more of a routine but until then I am more or less following her.
How long is each feed? Could take 5 minutes, could take an hour (for the feeds that take an hour, she'll have half her bottle, then sort of dozes of a bit or "play" for about 20 minutes then after I change her I give her the rest.)
How many feeds per day? About 6 or 7 bottles over 24 hours.
Is bubs sleeping longer at night? how long? Yes, anywhere from 7 to 9 hours, last night she slept 10 hours.

Don't worry Bel we are still every 3 hrs although this morning it was 1am, 3.30am, 5.15am then 6.40am (in bed with us by then as I couldn't be bothered going out into the lounge!!)

A bit of both, mostly demand (though if I have something to do, I will feed her so it works with me!) but we try to keep a schedule/routine at night. I like to think that we are very flexible though.

Pattern is emerging, feeding 3 hourly during the day and have routine at night.
