.... was just thinking about the fact that I haven't had a period since I had my IUD put in.

Hmmmmm, so that means that I'm ovulating every month (or should be) but not losing those eggs through a period...........

Hmmmmm, so does that mean that if I have the IUD removed, and have unprotected bd before my first period, that there are about 18 months worth of viable eggs waiting to be fertilised????

 Like I said, don't think I'm dumb, just one of those thoughts that sort of runs away with you and gets a bit ridiculous :o but then you think....... maybe???

What do you think?? Please be gentle when telling me I'm an idiot

Not sure how an IUD works, but the eggs only survive about 24 hours once released, so sorry to say, I think they would have all died off by now! Interesting question though. do you really not have periods on IUD? How does that work?

Not sure how it really works TBH. I was told that I'd have irregular bleeding for the first 3 months, or a bit less. Then after that I may or may not get regular periods. I read the Mirena website and it said that menstrual bleeding was reduced, after 12 months, by up to 96%.

I'm actually dreading the first one

And yeah, I've had grey hairs for years. They're annoying too cos they don't hold dye very well!!

I found my first grey hair when I was 17! And yep, same problem with the dye, but as you said, natural highlights!

I bet you'd be dreading your first AF after all this time! What a shock!
