Help toothache

I have a major toothache but I dont have any panadol left, i am so desperate i am using bonjela on my gums to stop them hurting and that is helping my i cant get rid of this toothache.

Is there anything i can do so it isnt so painful right now?

A good remedy for a toothache is oil of clove dabbed onto the affected tooth, but you probably don't have any in the house.

nope none of that dam, this is really a lesson for me...........now i have to put up with all these toothaches until we can get an appointment with a dentist who knocks you out LOL

pressure points work squeeze the part between your thumb and first finger try think of something else, also a warm face washer on the side that hurts helps too. Shame you didnt have any asprin the are good for swishing as well

Just get off at the busway and it's right there on the left.

You don't need an appointment.. just go in, but you will have to wait.... at least you can get someone to see you then....

i would be to scared.......my mother has to speak to the dentist first(i have a phobia).............grrr i always have to make things difficult:gloomy:

I used my nephews bonjela, gosh it worked a treat! I have a bad tooth ache atm where a part of my tooth has chipped away! :( its annoying that i cant afford nor do i want to go to the dentist!

There is a dentist in the city who uses DVD's as a distraction...you can watch the simpsons, mr bean etc while having your dentistry work done :yes:

Can you imagine watching Mr Bean while at the dentist though...if you laugh, whoops there goes the tooth :laughing:

my mums dentist has that, doesnt do much for me LOL its annoying while your sitting there crying and the dentist is saying "watch the screen" "watch the screen" ...while i am telling him too bing off LOL

Thats why i took out a loan for mine to get knocked out :( i couldnt even ring a dentist, i would walk on the other side of the road if there was one of the same street let alone getting in there first!

Not sure if this helps kate but after all my surgery even though i still have my phobia i take a xanax, i am half out of it not that they have much to work with now LOL but it helped me relax heaps and they could look around without me freaking :)

Good luck phobias are the worst, the dentist top of my list

I have a huge hole in my wisdom toooth that is coming out on friday morning :eek: but a friend of my mother's made a suggestion and it works ..dab on some lemon essence. .you get it in a bottle like vanilla essence ..same aisle ..and dab it on .. it works to . .way freaky!!

i am going to make an appoinment and then i will have to get x-rays(cause my teeth are that bad)and then i am getting knocked out and they can do what they want i dont kare how much it hurts after it will be worth it:D

Honest kate i was petrified thinking of the whole after pain as my panic and anxiety attacks make me think the worst i was petrified. I found that after about 4 days i felt great and i had wisdoms out too just make sure you take the pain relief every 4 hours or as instructed, even if you dont feel any pain do it :) I basically just felt a little off but it was from the GA i think i dont handle them that well and headachy which is normal. To be honest as i had so much poison running through my system a week later i felt alive and so happy that i wasnt going to wake up each day thinking ohh sh!t another infection off for more penecillian etc.

I was really suprised how good i felt, maybe i talked myself into thinking i would be in agony LOL just make sure you eat like heaps of stuff before hand haha i couldnt really eat properly for about 3 weeks and i was hanging for salt and vinegar chips

Good luck, took me 10 years to get there and 5 to take the plunge to make an appointment :)

With IV it was all private though was in a day surgery hospital that cost me a packet :( ($1100 just for that) i remember sitting there felt a ***** and talking and then waking up it was awesome :D

I had toothache too and I used Oil of clove its available at the chemist its about $10, it works really well but tastes like **** just a tiny dot on your finger and rub the affected area, it will go numb and leave you with loads of saliva in your mouth I spit it out cos its not nice. But it works. I had to resort to this as Pandol does not shift any pain I have, Headache toothache backpain, nowt.

Ask for gas i just preferred the needle thats all as gas makes me feel like cra!
