Hi all,
I am trying to find out what an average (I know there is basically no such thing) :wizard:clothing size of a one year old boy would be. I am traveling to the uk for Christmas :snow:so trying to buy my sons winter cloths for it now while I can but I have no idea what size to get.
He has been pretty standard size since birth (3.5kg) not particularly big or small he is now 7 months and weighs just over 8kg. I know that this is a bit of a guessing game but any help would be appreciated.

ooops :eek:posted it in the wrong section, I'm still new to this, any ideas how I repost it in general?
DS is 1 at the end of this month, he was 3.4kg when born and has always been average weight.
last time I weighed him he was around 10kgs. He is just going into a size 1 but is still in some size 0's.
Depends on the brand more than anything. Mostly 1's but some 0's depending on the brand.

i would stick to an 0 or a 1 most of mine were in between pants were an 0 and tops a 1. Best to go one up i think as you can always roll up sleeves and pants etc :D
Hi :) My son is 10 months old and in 0s and 1s (though the 1s are a tiny bit too big still). He was 3.8kgs at birth. I'd be going with 1s if I were you.
Bear in mind though that the sales will be on over there at that time ... NEXT baby clothes *drool*

I'd go with 1s to be on the safer side. It's far better to have clothes too big than too small.
DD was about a size 1, and was on the bigger side...

size ones for my son,
My DS is starting to fit into most of his size 1 clothing, and he is a big boy. He still wears a lot of his size 0's though, especially pants.

I'd buy size 1 for Christmas, and then buy size 2 for winter here in the UK sales while you are away...........
id buy size 1 for Christmas in UK slightly bigger never hurts in the cold :snow: my daughter was same weight at birth pretty ave all the way through we actully skipped size 1 all together and went from 0s to size 2 and rolled them up in winter. However .... at approx 12+ months old they do start to stand and can be little harmful having a much bigger size, mayby pk a couple slightly smaller incase
Good luck it is a guessing game the other thing you might want to think about is mayby buying from ebay in UK incase its the wrong size

Well, I have the same problem - except my sone hasnt even been born yet! We are going to the UK for Christmas so he will be 4 months old then, I have been buying 00's for him and hoping they fit - I suppose it wouldnt be too bad for me though as my baby wont be walking then. Plus my cousin has a baby boy about 12 months older so I will be able to borrow stuff off her!
