happybirthday Happy 3rd Birthday ORLANDO!happybirthday
have a fantastic day little man!
arrived with a soaking shirt as he had tried to serve his own lunch
 & i voted. love your ones and stellas green ones. very nice! you're so talented!
love the vid michaela.
lana i hope you have a great day. how is your throat? i have to tilt my head up to make sound so i look like a flippin tool lol.
oh and yes girls my aunty is a cow. always thought she'd get whats coming yet her family is the type to always be 'winning' things or suing someone. i really dont get it. they just think they're owed everything. the one time in the last 15 or so years that they showed up to a family do they got a separate table! really who does that?! they're fully into the RSL with oldies which is great apart from the suspision that they're befriending them for money.. after all why befriend elderly when you cant be bothered with your own parents.
thankfully my mum is one of 7(sadly one sis passed years ago of breast cancer) and the cow aunty only has one other on her side. so its 4 against 2. my uncles will go nuts once they find out. cant wait! :devil6:
the aunty that is siding with the evil one is no better herself. she tried to strike up a relationship with my other auntys(the one that passed) husband after she had passed away!!(they slept together but he didnt want a 'relationship'. he's another story altogether. *******! theres no morals.. she's been after my dad too..
OK will stop venting.. see as soon as i get onto family stuff i could just go on and on.
one more thing.. how can i get D to poop? today is day 4. her body has been all weird since she's been sick but im worried she's constipated.. her farts are awful.. and she has a tummy ache. we gave her some juice last night and she's been eating fruit quite a bit.

happybirthday Happy Birthday O. what a big boy he is now.
Haven't read much as DH will be home soon.
The dummy thing is going better than expected (but Im trying not to jinx it :fingerscrossed: ). She is having her first sleep without it - didn't cry long enough for me to need to go in and resettle and has been asleep twice as long as usual  . Wonder if shes found her fingers as a comfort thing :detective: .
Doing well today. Feeling a bit light headed though. Sleep dep I guess.
Oh one thing the little madam is doing is now rejecting the bottle! Ever since giving her that formula shes not not at all happy. Wotn have a bar of it from DH and fusses with me for ages so I think I need to give her a bit before each feed in a bottle otherwise shes going to starve when I go to my next birth any day now.
Sorry for the me post again (Im getting good at that). Will be back later for a proper read.
Have a great day girls.

What kind of juice is she having?? Prune juice?? Try giving her either some prune juice (diluted) or even some prunes on their own... they work wonders!
My throat is still at that dry stage and it almost feels like my tongue is a bit swollen  Hehehe i am imagining you talking to the ceiling now Sheree!
Anna - Thats great re the dummy! Hopefully she keeps it up. I think giving her a little bit of formula before each feed is a good idea, might help her get used to it. Maybe even get your DH to give her to formula and then pass her to you for breast milk. That way she will get used to having it from him too.
Sheree - On my way down to Mandurah today i will beep when i go past your place
Sarah - O's little party sounds fab! I bet he will be really surprised! I hope you take pics of his face when he walks in!
Have a good day girls and bubs!

Im giving her EBM - just a little before her proper feed. She seems to be lactose intollerant so no formula.
Hope you feel better soon.

Sheree - On my way down to Mandurah today i will beep when i go past your place
 ok i'll say hi to the sky for ya!
my ribs & back are so sore.. its weird.. but if i squeeze my ribs it feels better.. just putting pressure on them. i still feel like cr@p. we just cant shake this damn cough. D's on the lounge already. M is much better tho.. running around like a headless chook lol. about time!
just having a cup of tea. cant taste anything and looking at food makes me feel sick.
anna i hope leah takes back to bottles quickly for you. and :fingerscrossed: she doesnt kick up a stink over the dummies. sounds promising so far!!
as for juice.. no it was orange.. dont have any prune juice and feel way too sick to get any.. might send dad hehe. what does it taste like? i hope she drinks it.
well i think chris is off to his parents after work. how lovely of him. heaven forbid he come home and let me relax.. ive done all the housework this morning anyway so at nap time i'll curl up with D & A again. hopefully we can all get some sleep.

Gin - I have voted! ;) love the pic of Kes modeling it too! Looks like Kes has his Daddy's chin and lips (it is his daddy in the pic with him isnt it!?)
LOL, no, that's my brother! Interesting you mention it though, as my chin is the only thing that looks like me, so I guess my bro has it too!
The trip away sounds great, have fun!
Ooh, and ta for the vote, hehe
Sarah-sounds like a wonderful surprise! He is going to feel so special :babydust2:
& i voted. love your ones and stellas green ones. very nice! you're so talented!
Thanks! You seem to have a really nasty case of the flu there matey, I hope Chris decides to stay home, a break would do wonders I'm sure.
Fantastic that M is back to her old self, must be a huge relief.
Anna-great to hear about the dummy removal so far, fingers crossed!
I had the joy of a long shower this morning, left the boys abed while I took my time. Very nice! Kes and I then took a walk to the shops while DH cooked up a stack-o-pancakes, a good start to the day. Poor Mum and Dad have nasty colds, so I'm going to take Kes down to entertain them while I cook them dinner, DH doesn't mind as it means a Saturday night of relaxing in front of his computer.
By the way, thanks for all the ideas regarding Kes's vomiting, still trying to pinpoint the cause but I had another thought, it may have started at around the time I started giving him paracetamol, can't remember exactly but around that time. He really hates it so I wont give him that brand again, will try something else. Hopefully it helps his tummy too!
I hope you're all having lovely days!

oh rank! Harps was having nappy free time today and he did a massive sloppy poo everywhere!!! so gross :barf:
i just went up to the baby shop and got him a walker. i got the steelcraft "jetta" one as it has a red plane (he LOVES red) and other bright colours. he is in it now and he is having a ball! he can make the noises and lights come on really easily. his feet are only just touching the ground but he will grow into it soon.

nemosmum :hugs: i don't have any advice, as i haven't been in that situation before, but thinking of you and sending lots of hugs.
BlueGin Did you still want to catch up for coffee, lunch soon?
LL - Sorry had to laugh at the nappy free time, isn't that just typical. Hope it wasn't to hard to clea n up.
Will endeavor to catch up on posts later today. Soooo many.
We went to my Aunts for dinner last night, Antonio loved it, something different to look at, hehe. My Aunt etc cant believe how much he has changed and how he looks like a "little boy" now. He was a right show off too with tummy time, didn't grizzle once... not like at home LOL! They loved how he is a lot interactive than he was a couple of months ago.
My Aunt brought him yet another toy, she is a shocker LOL. It's for age 1 plus tho, but he showed some interest in. Basically an oval shape box , with lots of different activities on top and around the edge. Pushing buttons, flipping pages of a book, car, train, doorbell, computer, etc.
Nothing else to report.
Oh yes there is, a vent about speeding camera's. On my way home yesterday, it was dark i was almost home and then i drove past this car, so knew it was cops, anyway i wasn't speeding i was doing 70 in an 80 zone, because it was raining and had A in the car.
There was another car on my right same speed as me, and another car just behind me, and then a few more further behind.
I am not kidding EVERY SINGLE CAR that went past was flashed!!!! So i thought stuff this, not on, and pulled over, took a pic of the time on my dash, then took a pic of the cop car discreetly. If i get a fine, there is going to be trouble.
If that is not revenue raising then i dont know what is, - disgusting!

I had an ex who was like that. Dont think he got the picture (even though I was seeing my Husband at the time), until I actually moved 2000km away :wizard: !!
All we can do is give you some :hugs:
Well Jacey woke at 2am for a feed last night and usually she goes straight back to sleep on her own etc... not last night. She was chatting and whinging and kicking away until DH bought her into me at 5am and I fed her again and she slept until 9am! Have no idea what was wrong as she wasnt overly hungry. We then went for a long walk (pushing 30kg is a good work out hey!). When we got back I noticed a big insect on the wall in the hallway (just outside her room). I squished it and then realised it was a mozzie full of blood - so gross. So now I'm wondering who the mozzie attacked and maybe it was Jacey and thats why she was not sleeping. When she wakes up I will change her and check her out. I will feel terrible if she has a big mozzie bite.
Not much today. Hubby at work and more unpacking to do. Making a fish curry tonight - yummo!

Hehehe oops!! Well then in that case he MUST have your chin lol! As for the paracetamol, was it the panadol brand that he didnt like?? Amity always hated that so i use the Dymadon which is orange flavoured.
I actually had to give Griff some last night for his teeth and when i fed him at 5am this morning he had a rash on the side of his face and faintly on his back and legs  . He has been really cuddly today too and not his normal wriggly self. The rash has gone though thankfully.
Just skimmed the pages.
LL - Love Harpers new walker! I wish i had used my brain when i bought Amity's walker. It is light purple Pooh bear one... Poor Griffy!
Sarah - I hope O had a good birthday! Im looking forward to seeing his pics.

:laughing:ooh Harper, you funny little man, did you have a poo explosion eh? LOL, they always know when to let them go, twice last week Kes managed to do an exploder whilst on our bed, hehe
Taryn-I think you're pretty organised to have booked the castle! I'm sure it will be a great party
I hope Jacey wasn't bitten, how horrid if she was!
Sarah-:hugs: I'm so sorry to hear how tough it is for you, it must be very hard to deal with Mike while he is not dealing with the situation! I'm sure little O had a wonderful day, he must feel so special after 3 cakes! (And I'm hanging for pics!)
Emma-how thoughtful of your DH! So how is the new pram?
AD- I'd love to, this week Tuesday is best, next week I think I'm only busy Monday :)
Good on Antonio showing off for the relatives, LOL, and great that he has started playing with that toy, he must have great motor skills.
Good idea taking the photos, what nasty pieces of work if that is what they were doing, not fair!
Anna-you're a brave woman attempting a dummy removal, fingers crossed it goes better this time.
Shezi-glad to hear you are a little better, hopefully being back in the week day routine (and hopefully with M well enough for school) you'll get a few moments of rest to recouperate! :hugs:
LOL Lana, yep, definitely the chin is from my side of the family!
Interesting you mention the Dymadon, I got it from the chemist last night. he said it's the only decent tasting one, and that he thinks all Kes's spewing was probably from the taste of the others, poor little guy! I hope Griff's rash disapears completely, and that it was unrelated.
ALso got Bonjela, only tried it once, seemed good!
night all, Kes say it's time for bed... hehe

Yes BlueGin I think the prams great, need a new nappy bag to go with it now :D
Hope the dymadon doesn't make Kes sick.
Dh and I went out today for our late anniversary date. We went to lonestar for lunch and then to the movies and saw 'Knocked Up'. Was going to go to the gold class one but it was sold out. Foster MIL looked after Cooper for us and when she got home she apparently had to change hs clothes 4 times as she didn't have the nappy on properly and she over fed him and he was sick quite abit this afternoon. When we got home he looked rather scared

oh Emma, :o the poor little guy! It sounds like you had a good night though which is great.
And yep, that's the best thing about a new pram or something, you need matching accessories! Yay! :D
Kes seemed to keep all the Dymadon down, and hasn't had more than one chuck since I started it.
I feel so nasty now, continuously giving him something that made him sick :(
Does anyone else have a bub that twitches? Kes does these whole-body shivers every so often, doesn't seem to bother him but boy does it look weird!
Oh, and he still has real trouble reaching for stuff. He does it by instinct, but when he concentrates he pulls back in stead of reaching, I thought from what everyone says about their bubs that he'd be better at that by now... (not that it matters, but it frustrates him)
DH is going to upload some pics of Kes in a bit, looking forward to sharing 1 or 2, they're so cute!

Emma - Which Valco pram did you get? Is it the RAD?? If so, thats the same as me! I love it! Lol, poor Cooper! I bet he looked scared! People dont seem to realise how quickly you can forget how to put nappies on babies etc. Glad you guys had a good time though.
My house is such a mess! I usually do the rest of my washing on the weekends but as i wasnt home it is still sitting in the laundry. Busy day tomorrow now lol.

No lana it is the Everest. I really wanted to buy the Mountain Buggy Urban Elite Single Stroller. But there was no way on earth would dh let me buy a pram for over $500  . But I used the valco on saturday and I loved it.
Hey does anyone elses bub (in the middle of the night) let out a cry and then instantly fall back to sleep. Cooper does it at least once a night. It's like he has a nightmare, very odd.

Thanks girls, the poor kid was just at that stage of wanting to get out when I grabbed the camera, so there was a lot of back arching, LOL
It is such a handy thing though, definitely gets my thumbs up!
LL-:hugs: it must be weird not having Al home, I hope he enjoys the new job though! Good on Harper with his sleeping, and I'll put my name down for one of those bibs when you make them, LOL, at the moment I just buy lots of cheap t-shirts and change him lots, seems to work!
Lana-let's hope the first load of washing is already in, hehe, enjoy the cleaning spree. I'm all excited today, we bought a new iron yesterday so the novelty is still there (I haven't ironed a thing in this house, as Mum broke our iron 2 years ago) so I'm gonna iron DH's work shirts!
Emma-Kes does that sometimes in his evening nap, I think it's to do with their 'active sleep' cycle, I just rest my hand over his head and 'shh shh shh' him back to sleep, usually works.
That pram sounds cool, the Valcos are stylin', does Cooper like the new ride?
Yay for feet! Clever boy, now... can you put it in your mouth? Nice way to keep those toenails in check! LOL
Firsttime-I love polo shirts!!! Hehe, took me a couple of years, but finally got DH to buy some and they're so much easier to care for than shirts/t-shirts, just wash and dry and back in business. THough I don't envy you the volume of washing you now face! :p It sounds like a lovely Sunday you had, very relaxing end to the week.
Sarah, I think you can take a weekend off without losing your title, LOL I think you deserve a little weekend away actually... maybe in Melbourne..? :D
I've filled out that survey, great idea, for us to see eachothers, but also great for those in the early stages of their first or second pregnancies!
Shezi-I hope A just had the one bad night and isn't sick, with you already having it she should get a good dose of antibodies in the milk so fingers crossed she's better today.
And I hope you get a little break today, where they simultaneously decide to nap for an hour or two eh? Hehe, it might happen!
Anna- good on you! It sounds like your efforts are paying off, great job! And congratulations Leah, a lovely sleep from you.
Kes was super grizzly in bed this morning (I try to coax him back to sleep so I can run and shower and clean a bit these days, it's my new trick so I don't get so sad about the housework) so I gave him so Dymadon, I usually leave his first dose till afternoon, but he is now sleeping so peacefully! Shezi, I have tried putting it in in small amounts, with a toy at the ready to distract him (something that makes a sound works well) the second it goes in, and then moving my finger over his throat in a downward motion. Sometimes works... sometimes... ;)

BUT on the way home, he sent me an sms saying thanks so i sent one back saying "so now is a good time to confess i couldnt resist a 3for2 nappy deal!" i am sposed to be on a nappy ban but these are just toooooo cute... (minky is so plush)

Hey girls.
Got back from w/e away at Mummy to Mason's yesterday to a flooded laundry! Thought washing machine had gone but no, hot water system's pipe is corroded. Plumber to call today.
Sharon - Yes the strap on the left hand side looks slightly longer (left side when facing pram) but cannot for the life of me do it up!
Sarah - Hope O had a lovely 3rd birthday!! I hope you can get through to your dh about how you feel. Hugs to you.
Hollie - Re Monty being clingy, Ella has been a mummy's girl lately too, it's just a phase, don't worry. (Well for most it is). Ella keeps crying when my mum looks at her when she usually loves her. I think when they are teething they just want their mummies too. Ella always has to look to see if I am there when someone else is holding her now. Ella tried Mason's jolly jumper yesterday & loved it when I bounced her around but didn't do much work herself!
Shezi - What a cow your aunty is! That is so wrong! Hope your voice is better. My husky phone sex voice is better now :)
Gin - Your good taking so little with you! I always pack 4-5 nappies, if she is wearing pants & top I take spare pants & top which can mix & match lol, plus a jumper, plus short sleeves (this weather is crazy here atm), 2 clothies - for spew & for changing, curash, bonjela, panadol, change mat, wipes, dummies, 3 bottles, formula, hundreds of bibs lol, nappy sacks, socks. Even with nothing in my bag though it is still quite heavy!
Ella had another rusk on Saturday sitting in Mason's high chair. I need one asap cos starting her on baby cereal end of the week.
Anna - How is the dummy weaning going??
Taryn - Also on the weekend, Ella went in a little play station which Mason had. It is in the Target catalogue on the page you linked, the one in the left corner I think it was. She didn't know what to do but loved it all the same! It has a bouncy bottom but she just hung about hehe. I want to get her one or a JJ so she is in an upright toy having fun to occupy her & so she isn't putting pressure on her head.
Emma - What pram did you get? Oh just saw your next post lol. The Valco ones were good! Your anniversary date sounds great! We must celebrate this yr, our 2 yr anniversay as last yr we babysat our nephew ALL day. She didn't say what time they would be home & we expected it to be 2pm at the latest. We babysat fromabout 9am to 6pm!! At least he was an angel for us. We had a quick Thai dinner but were so tired lol. I wanna go away this time. We have Knocked Up on dvd (naughty naughty) & it is HILARIOUS!! Did ya like it? I am meant to be seeing Harry Potter in Gold Class with my sis but cannot get 2 seats together! Not going to a BIA sesh either cos I need to concentrate on HP lol. Can't wait for book to come out Sat morning!
AD - Glad I could help you & Jenny. I think you should go to the media about the speed camera. I know it's been done but they never get it do they?!
Brisbane/Gold Coast - There is a bayside meet on this Friday, 20 July. If you would like to joine me & heaps of other BubHubbians, let me know & I'll send you the link or pm you the details.
OMG Ella is screaming the house down! (Happy screaming at her toys not crying screaming).
Shezi - Give A her panadol or other medicine in a bottle if she will take it?
Ok off to do this poll & look at photos (if my computer doesn't crash!). Ella is crying now. Bbl.

Emma-Kes does that sometimes in his evening nap, I think it's to do with their 'active sleep' cycle, I just rest my hand over his head and 'shh shh shh' him back to sleep, usually works.
yes that's what I do just pat his little head.
That pram sounds cool, the Valcos are stylin', does Cooper like the new ride?
Yay for feet! Clever boy, now... can you put it in your mouth? Nice way to keep those toenails in check! LOL
Yes he loves his new wheels :D . Do you mean...Do I put Cooper's feet in my mouth?, If so No I don't. I draw the line at putting feet in my mouth

Hi All!!
Sorry we have ben MIA for the last month or so but seem to be so busy I havent had time to scratch myself.
I promise to go back and read as much as I can but I hope all of you are well and all the babies are as gorgeous as ever.
Sorry Sydney ladies if I have missed a catch up if there is another one please count me in.
We are all good. In the last month we have been to two weddings, ripped up the backgarden and redone it, painted the outside of the house, worked on the lauch of the new business and had Chloes Christening on the weekend which went really well. I will post a picture of the Christening after I down load them.
We have all had this dreaded flu that seems to be going around and all but Chloe and I have shaken it. I have quickly read the pages on this thread and it sounds like a few of you have had it as well. Shezi - I hope you are feeling better.
Sarah - it sounds as if you are having a bit of a tough time, so sorry to hear it. Happy Birthday to O I hope he had a lovely time, sorry I missed your PM's.
Anna - good luck with the dummy its hard to stop it I know I have got Tilly down to just nights but I dont know how I will cut that out as she is addicted!
Anyone going to the Target toy sale this week? I have no idea what to get the girls this year for Christmas so think I will go and hopefully get some inspiration.
Will promise to be back on more and not leave it for another month.

Got a new client this morning :yelclap: . Leah is refusing to take a bottle off DH. Need to sort that as I have births to attend and shes going to have to take it. I can convince her eventually to take it off me but its hard work.
Still no dummy..........AND getting 2 hrs sleep per nap rather than 40-60 minutes and waking for a dummy. Happy (and proud) mummy.

i don't know how you can do all that with 3 little ones! superwoman!!
Anna - that is great about the dummy and the 2 hour naps! Harper has short naps in the day. hope Leah will take the bottle while you're at the birth. i spose she will have no choice hey?!
Sheree - hope you managed to get some of the medicine down.
Carrie your weekend away sounds good. H loves his JJ, the first couple of times he didnt bounce but now he is right into it (not as good as Monty of course!!)
i am also hanging for the new HP movie and book. think we'll leave Harper with one of his nanas and go during the day next week when Al gets home. school hols will be over so the shops will be ok again lol.
well, i often tease Al about his "fashion sense" i mean, i am not into fashion at all but he doesnt really get the 'don't mix diff patterns' thing. he will wear camo pants with a patterned shirt or these checked shoes he has and it clashes so bad! ANYWAY... got home from training today and his mum had given Harps a bath and dressed him in... you guessed it... patterned suit and stripey jacket lol. so i see where he got it from! H looks like a total dork but he's warm and we're not going out so i havent changed him. nice of her to give him his bath too. she also put out two loads of washing!! gotta love babysitters like that.

Welcome back Gemma ... wow you have been busy!!
Anna - Well done on the dummy!! What's ya secret or just let her scream blue murder? Lol. That's what E would do. E's been waking heaps last couple of nights for hers but thinking cos it's been so cold?? Dunno ... Congrats on the new client! Leah will just have no choice in the matter of a bottle will she.
LL - OMG I couldn't get DH to see HP. He came once when Chamber of Secrets was out (I saw 6 times at movies!). The movies are good but this time I made sure I didn't re-read the book cos it's disappointing that they have to leave so much out. I think the ppl who hate the HP movies are those who don't read the books as you really need to read them to understand the movie, the 'lingo' and exactly what is happening, do you agree?
Apparently we have it on dvd already but I don't wanna watch it!!
When the last book came out my sis, cousin & I met in the city early as in the morning & got our books & headed to Shingle Inn for brekky (it looks like Griffindor common room!). BUT I was so late & so sick lol. I'd been drinking the night before and didn't get home til 3 or 4am but dh dropped me there but had to get train home & couldn't even stay awake. Lol. Don't ya miss those days?? Hehe ...
In 'those' days dh was working nights & I would go drinking every Friday night with work mates in the city as all I'd usually pay for is a cab ride home ($30). Otherwise I'd stay out til dh finished and make him come 1/2 hour to get me lol. The boys at work always bought the rounds cos they had to out-do each other & flash their cash.

LOL, no I dont leave her to scream bloody murder. I think consistancy is the key. I wrap her up and put her to bed, kiss her goodbye then leave for 5 minutes. If shes winding down I leave her, if shes screaming I go in and jolly her out of it and keep doing it 5minutely. Shes just gone down without whinging, crying or anything.:yelclap:

Toadlet is averaging 9 1/2 hours then another 2.5 straight after his feed. Fantastic isn't it!
Brendan is HUGE considering you are so tiny, is your DH big?
Monty is such a good boy. With the 2.5 hrs, does that mean you get to sleep in in the morning?
DH is pretty big and tall. On my 10cm heels, I'm around his shoulder height :o
Re. sleeping, B sleeps almost as much as Monty. He sleeps around 12 hrs at night minus 30mins feed break + 2 an-hourish naps on morning and afternoon + 1 two-hourish nap on mid-day.
Good buy on the dvd handycam. BtW, does that mean it records directly to a dvd disc?
Danielah was 69cm & 7.9kg at 12months! she's had a decent growth spurt since tho.. lol. oddly enough she was pretty much on par with A who is 7kg already.. little shorty tho thats why she has rolls on her rolls haha
D was so petite, she must be really cute! It's amazing how A now is almost as big as D in 12m. I love rolls too
Hope A is on the mend now. Sorry can't give you any advise on the meds, still very much a novice mom, lol.
Jenny (Brendan'sMum, you are Jenny right?), yeah, it's so exciting seeing little teethy bumps! Sad too, I miss him being a teeny tiny baby.
Brendan sounds lovely, can't believe he is already doing proper laughs, that's so cool!
Gin ~ Yes, I'm Jenny.
I miss my newborn B too sometimes, but must say it gets more exciting now that he can responds more.
B is a bit famous now in our gym because of his hearty laughs. The girls in the creche actually called the girls in the reception to come and see him laugh. I'm known as Brendan's Mum now in the gym
Very cool pants you made for the knit-off. I've voted. You're running second now...come on and vote girls!
The second pic of Kes is so funny, it's like...mmm, is that fingers mine?
Lana ~ how was your holiday?
AD ~ well done to Antonio.
Anna ~ Well done for preservering (sp?) re. dummy. Hope Leah weans off it soon.
NM ~ It must be hard that he's still in denial. You have quite a bit on your plate lately so please feel free to vent away, hope it helps a bit :hugs:
Emma ~ new pram, how exciting! And how clever is Cooper to find his foot.
Re. scream, B does it sometimes, mostly in his afternoon nap. I find him most unsettled during the afternoon for some reasons, so if it's not raining I like to take him for a walk so he could have a nap in his pram. He seems to nap better this way.
Talking about pram, we have a bit of drama with our pram on the weekend. DH pumped its tyres a bit much one of the inner tubes exploded! And when we called DJ we were told that it could take several weeks to get it replaced. Lucky at the end we find a place that could fix it as we wait. Can't bear of the thought of being home bound for several weeks!
Firsttime ~ what kind of work does your DH do if you don't mind me asking. Visiting wineries sounds bliss.
LL ~ nice tricks! You made me laugh.
Carrie ~ sorry to hear about the flood. At least you had a great time over the weekend.
RTCs Mum ~ welcome back! You've been really busy.

sarah omgosh that is just nasty sending me that link! only kidding! im trying to work out how much it will all be for my 3 including postage.. would love them to wear the tutus to M & D's birthday party. (not practical as it'll be at a park but oh so cute!)
A is very snotty & still a bit warm but not burning up like before so :fingerscrossed: shes over the worst of it..
anna yep thats how i do the medicine.. she doesnt move just grins and sticks her tongue out lol.
lmao michaela.. apple never falls far from the tree. you mil sounds lovely tho. im very into 'matching' clothes.. i have had to let M wear what she wants tho which is SO hard. she'll have top, skirt & leggings all in stripes but all different colours & in odd directions. lol. so hard to let her walk out the door!
 b'smum thats hilarious that you're well known in the gym creche! what pram do you have? bugger about the tyre hey.
i've talked my brother into coming to the target sale friday morning.. wont go first day.. thats crazy plus theres nothing 'stand out' in the catalogue. anyway poor guy.. its his birthday friday! lol!
trying to suss out what i want with tax money.. so far i have outdoor setting, video camera, girls party things, and i need some tops.. tried on clothes i used to wear after i had M(was at my smallest).. lets just say my hips arent pretty lol. im down to 61 now.. so im back to 'pre A' weight.. another 5kg to go to get back to 'pre D' weight.. my own silly fault for gaining 17kgs.. haha. i know chris would be happier if i lost weight.. not bagging him at all tho coz i'd be happier too. im alot more confidant.
my brother passed by a car accident a week or so ago.. he said there wasnt much left of one car but he didnt stop coz there was heaps of people there already.. anyway we heard the next day someone(landcruiser) had gone through a red light and taken out a couple in their 50's(sedan).. the couple died at the scene:crying:
the young guy driving turned out to be one of our frineds cousins..(we went to school with him..) hes only 24.. he's in hospital, broken back & neck.. doesnt look like he'll walk again.
i am torn because obviously i feel for the couple and their family that are left behind.. but i also feel for this guy who now has to live with what he's done and also has to live in a body that may never work again.. but then i think that the couple couldve easily have been my brother if he was those few minutes earlier.. makes me feel sick. they're yet to rule out alcohol which couldve been a cause as my brother said the guy has been busted a few times for DUI.. it just makes me feel sick. you cant turn back the clock.. one stupid mistake has ruined so many lives.

Hollie - What a waste of cashola hey. We got a company in to do a 'bond' clean & I would've done a better job myself. We didn't get the bond back & there was a massive fight however the @r$ehole manager (townhouses) was in the wrong & I worked for a law firm & needless to say I got our bond back :)
Why can't they do what they're paid to do properly??
Anna - Well done, that is progress! With HP, dh won't pick up any book unless it contains tide times, or fish! LOL. (Or nakey girls)
Jenny - That happened to our pram & we put a new innertube in it. There were other probs with the pram though & front tyre so I took it back to TRU & they called the company who were meant to send a replacement tyre which we never received. I got sick of it & took it back & the pram was faulty so got a refund. They had another returned. What brand is your pram? This was a Baby 1st.
Sarah - How are you? Thanks for the sites ... naughty naughty girl! The tutus are devine! and I agree, who the h3ll would pay the money for those shirts? I shoud do them & charge for them! Better yet, my 2 yr old niece! I'll add the tutu page to my faves as for E's 2nd b'day party we are gonna have a fairy party!
Taryn - Wouldn't have a clue about FTB because this is the first time we've had it. Have not received a cheque & haven't done our tax. We have to book with dh's accountant he goes to for tax.
Shezi - I don't even have the Target catalogue yet!! Aggh! Lol. I need to get E a couple of things. What a terrible accident. I know what you mean about being torn between who you feel more for.
LL / Lana - My friend said she didn't receive $600 per child the first yr because she was an April bub & you need to have the bub for the whole fin yr or it is reduced month by month. She got about $200 but better than nothing. As for what we are going to do with tax money we are going to pay David's outstanding debt & the we will be able to hopefully get a car loan once that is paid off. Some new clothes would be lovely too!
Ok off to try & look at the H&G pics and Chloe pics.
Good night chicky babes.

it is bliss - he works for a wine company and oversees 5 wineries in WA, well known ones, which is great, as he gets to drinks lots of their produce!
needless to say, our house smells like red wine on a hot day, as it is full of cases of wine, under my bed, and in 4 temperature controlled fridges, he gets a nice wine allowance, and is always owing stacks of money on his staff account :shame:
lucky for him, i dont drink wine!
i am sooo looking forward to that $600 from the tax - yippee!!!
LL and Elmo - love the pic of your beautiful little guys! how sweet!!
shezi - car accident sounds horrible. poor families involved.
once again i seem to have missed out on the delivery of the toy catalogue. it sucks cos i am 2 minutes from kmart, big w and target, but i rarely get the catologues. lucky for internet.
RTC's mum - the photos are amazing, the cake makes me hungry and the pictures of Chole look freakish the way you cant see the arm! well done! she's is beautiful btw.

Having very crappy evening.
P!ssed off I paid someone to clean my house and it still loooks like a pig sty.
Operating on very little sleep and getting very annoyed at toadlet.
He is always rubbing his face, especially when he is tired. I have tried every damn contraption to keep his arms secure but so he can still suck his hand. Sewing dressing gown arms to collars etc, but he is getting so stong he can still move the whole of his arms and dressing gown up to his face and rub it.
Yesterday I bought a Bond sleep suit and tied the arm holes up so is hands and arms were securely inside. Sewed ties to the bottom of the dressing gown so he cant wriggle up the top of the cot and bash his head.
When he woke up for his feed the whole right arm, shoulder and the back of the dressing gown were soaking wet cause he was sucking on that all night instead of his hand.
I've even made super soft gloves but he rubs so hard it doesnt make any difference.
He's a little turdlet.
grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hollie - Is there a prob with him sucking his hands & rubbing his face? Is Monty's skin reacting or something? I must say you are very creative! ATM E is sleeping in a bonds singlet suit, bonds short sleeve suit, wondersuit & bonds sleeping bag. She too sucks on the 'paws' of the wondersuits. I am po'd tho cos she badly needs size 0's now as 00 is too small & they don't have 'paws'. Any ideas oh creative one?
Sarah - I am gonna get E a tutu outfit for her 1st b'day. They are too cute. Good thing about having early autumn bubs is they can wear cute party dresses! Dh said the first bub looks like Smeegles from Lord of the rings! LOL.

Carrie I dont ind him sucking his hands, just rubbing his face,
I dont think his fac e/skin is itchy, he just rubs it cause he is tired. I put moisturiser on it and it heals quickly, but if he;s done a big scratch it will treally sting him.
You could make some big mittens for E to suck on, make them from a fleece which is fairly waterproof.

Re the $600 tax payment, yeah you do only get a portion of it if your baby was born during the financial year. Amity was born 30th March and we got $200 for her.
Hollie - If Monty is only rubbing his face when he is tired, why not try putting him to bed a bit earlier. Maybe that way he will be asleep before he gets to the 'rubbing' stage. I hope your night gets better... The cleaner i had come clean my house sucked too. Bloody anoying forking out money for nothing!
Gaby - How lucky your DH working int he wine business!! I would be in heaven lol! So are you more of a beer/spirits person or dont you drink at all?
I am so tired today. Just finished cleaning and have mountains of washing to fold... If only i had some help to fold it.

re the $600 a child.. i find it strange because i have always gotten the full amount and my girls were november bubs. i'll assume only $200 for A then this year that way any over is even better :D
hollie, toadlet should be known as houdini! poor little guy tho.. his face must get so sore.
ok girls any ideas on what i can buy my girls for their birthdays(M & D) & christmas(all 3)? i am so out of ideas its really bad.. M is going to buy herself the dora laptop that i had planned on giving as part of her pressie.. i could always say they didnt have them and put it aside till then but still thats only one present.. im seriously out of ideas.. even tho i'd love to buy them more dolls & prams they have so many as it is.. their latest is a mini valco  im serious!
last christmas their main pressie was the trampoline.. this year it was meant to be a cubby house but with us moving it would be pointless. they are having a bday party so i dont want to go too overboard especially with christmas around the corner.. was thinking of getting M a big wooden dolls house but my girls are more outdoorsy.. anyway i'll stop :ecomcity: any ideas would be great tho.. its doing my head in!
gaby yep i didnt get the kmart or bigW catalogues.. ended up with everyone too sick to go anyway. still gonna go have a look tomorrow but no doubt everything good will be gone. was thinking of going to bigW on wednesday but i dont think they had anything there that i cant get from target on friday.. plus i'll have my brother.. poor guy doesnt know what he's in for lmao!
oh and im with you.. dont drink wine. actually i dont drink at all. never liked it. other than the slushies at the zanzibar :D
carrie if you ever decide to make those tops i'll buy some! hehe. such a simple but gorgeous idea. i'd never have the time tho.. plus i'd botch it somehow!
so much trouble with house cleaners.. you'd think they'd do spotless jobs.. what arent they doing?? my mum is pratically trying to kick me out so she can 'work her magic' lol. she's getting all antsy at home coz with my bro, sil & their kids her house is looking trashed.. and she's such a spotless person its doing her head in.. she comes over and will start wiping my bench tops(clean bench tops! lol).
i've told her to go back to cleaning houses.. she did it years ago. she loves cleaning & gardening.. much better pay than her nursing job too which is ridiculous.

for the girls birthdays, do you do a collection of anything, for when they are older, ie, i buy my neices a piece of swarovsky crystal for each birthday, they dont appreciate them now, but they will when they are older and have lots of little crystal animals etc. it's something they can keep, as i find my nieces get toys from most people, but nothing to "keep" for later.
yeah i dont drink much - i havent had a drop since the day i found out i was pregnant - i figured i had so much on my honeymoon when i didnt realise i was pregnant, that i should do the baby a favour once i found out!
but generally i drink the odd spirits, i lurve vodka lemon and lime, and have a sweet tooth for vodka mudslide (its a premixed bottle).
oh, and champers - i like moet chandon demi sec brut imperial ( i had to ask Karl what it was!).

I also do this idea for the girls. We do a really nice Christmas decoration every year, like Waterford crystal or villeroy boch etc and my Dad gives them a George Jenson one as well. I have started a coin collection for my nephew for his birthdays and will probably also do the Christmas decoration as well.
I love the idea they will have them forever.

Ha Ha! I had to re-look at the photo as well. Mum had a black jacket on so you cant see her holding her up!
The jumper and hat are Beneton and the pants are Fred Bare for those who were asking. I love the outfit esp the jumper and hat she gets comments every time she wears it.
Carrie - I did do the candle but it was really easy I just bought the stickers from Spotlight with the ribbon and the candle from Dusk and then threw it all together.
OK HOW CUTE IS THIS PIC OF GRIFFIN & HARPER CHECKING EACH OTHER OUT?
How cute are the boys !!!

RTCMum, well done on launching your business. You've done a fantastic job managing that and 3 little girls.
I showed DP the photo of Chloe and said "look, she's a week younger than Monty and already sitting up (not pointing out the arm). is response., o wonder she's sitting up if they are feeding her cake!
That's a great idea for the Xmas gifts.
LL and Elmo, those two are very cute staring at each other. Maybe Monty needs a baby to encourage him in TT.
Firsttime, I don't drink at all.
Shezi, can I have your mum? She sounds perfect. You are very lucky to have her round.
Wel the turdlet redeemed himself. Not that he was being bad, I was just getting frustrated with him rubbing his face. he just slept a massive 10hrs .40 so I managed to get a great sleep, even though I still feel tired. I just fed him and put him back down. He's chatting away to himself.
Swimming lessons tomorrow!
Re tax. I'll have a big lump to pay this year. Not sure if I'll be entitled to the benefit? Or does everyone get it regardless of income?

Sarah you are a shopaholic!!
Anyne else here buy babies toys for "themselves" ?
I get bored easily and like to have different things to do with toadlet. He's got heaps of books and not massive amount of toys, but a few.
I splurged this week. I bought a Nespresso machine (coffee machne that you put little coffee cartridges in).
makes fantastic coffee and mega easy to clean and super fast to make.
I should also be getting a camcorder arriving this week. Can't wait to use it. Frog bought himself a really good camera too (still camera). He had one at his jovb he just left but had to leave it behind.
Great thing is I can claim these as a work expense and depreciate them too. Just wondering if I can claim the coffee machine for when clients come over... not that any do. Much.

Sarah - you need to get yourself one of those new Visa Debit cards! It has all the benefits of a credit card EXCEPT you use your own money which means no going into debt and no interest.
Firsttime - thats a great idea! I might start doing that for Amity and Girffin (obviously not crystals though)
AD - Love the new Av! He looks adorable
Hollie - Of course the coffee machine is a business expense!! You need it for your caffeine hits when you work those long hours too!
LL - I know you use the grobags for Harper and am just wondering how many layers you put on him? Griff is moving into his cot so i will need to use his grobag instead of blankets but im not sure exactly how much to put on him. I know it gets colder than 16 degrees at night!
I think i am going to have to start Griff on solids pretty soon because i think he is really hungry. He has gone from waking once at around 3.30am to waking 3 times a night! Last night he woke about 4 or 5 times and then Amity woke once too because she was hungry and wanted breakfast at 5am. I told her to go back to sleep! But yeah so i am absolutely shattered today. I am so tired that my eyes hurt when they move. Thank god Amity is in day care today, i might actually get a nap.
ETA: Sunflower - I just read your post... Griffin has just started doing the same thing! What is going on!?

Firsttime, I have a thermometre in the kids rooms too. I put a heater on in Sams room, it doesn't heat much and his room is big but he has been complaining of sore eyes and nose so I wonder if its drying him out too much. Leah I dont put anything in her room but I put her to bed in a winter weight sleeping bag.
Sarah, I hate being at home at night by myself too. I hear all sorts of noises. :o Those photos are gorgous. Love the dress. I opened the photo of O with cake on his lips and it only half opened, I thought it was blood LOL.
Leah doesn't have any toys of her own really. They are all hand-me-downs.
Shezi, I'll have a think about the pressies. Its a toughy isn't it.
Re the collectables, if for girls, what about a charm bracelet with a charm for something significant that happened in the year.
As for you girls getting up 3 times a night suddenly.... Im STILL getting up 3 times a night LOL.
Day 3 without the dummy. Today has probably been the worst day in honesty. She was a little madam this morning. Didn't sleep for long and it was hard getting her down. Grrr. In a b*tch of a mood today. Must call my mother and give her both barrels now that the kids are asleep.......

RTCs Mum ~ Georgeous pics. Chloe is so cute, and smart girl, she's almost sitting by herself already (ok I know she had help, but she sits so straight and all)! The cake is stunning.
Shezi ~ it's so sad that so many lives are destroyed.
Re. pram, ours is boo cameleon. We're pretty happy with it so far, but wasn't impressed with the after sales service, I mean several weeks to change an inner tube is just way too long!
LL ~ love the pic of Harper & Griff, they look a bit alike in that pic.
Yep!! Sure is! You get $600 per child.
That's a great news! How to you claim this, do you just fill-in the family part in e-tax? Oh, and is this yearly or only for bub's 1st year?
We got a company in to do a 'bond' clean & I would've done a better job myself. We didn't get the bond back & there was a massive fight however the @r$ehole manager (townhouses) was in the wrong & I worked for a law firm & needless to say I got our bond back
Well done Carrie. We had the same probs too sometimes ago. Luckily we used the cleaner referred to by the RE Agent, so we just handed the receipt to the agent and they follow-up on the re-cleaning themselves. Annoying when these things happened.

NM ~ cute pics. O and I look very much alike, and such beautiful eye-lashes. Do they come from you?
Re. butterfly, I gave my niece a DIY kit for doing something similar to this last Xmas. You could get it in DJ (assuming you have time and can be bothered of course lol).
AD ~ Yay for catching the smile. I think all the moms here will agree that it's not an easy thing to do. I only have less than a handfull photos of B's smiling so far.
Sunflower & Lana ~ sorry to hear about the waking up. Hope it's a one-off thing and he'll back to his usual way soon.

hi all, just a quick one as my little guy is very grouchy today...
Lana - i also have the grobag egg thermometer and it is very rare that it goes below 16. i thought his room was a lot colder! i put H in a singlet and growsuit. i put a tucked-in blanket over th bottom half of him if its really cold. and mittens or "paws" on his wondersuit. his grobags are 2.5tog (winter). i am getting the light-weight ones for summer too, i really like using them.
AD - love the avy, i can never get smiling photos...
Hollie - very jealous of your coffee machine! i love to have one nice coffee a day, i go to muzz buzz (drive thru) but its $4 so thats a fair bit over a year!!
wish i could come to your nappy lesson. i had my first sewing lesson last week, got another one on sat and she said to bring the nappy pattern i printed off the net (wee weka one). Harps has grown out of 6 of his nappies and has 4 he is nearly out of so if i don't start sewing soon, i will have to wash daily again...
Sunflower and Lana - Harper has also just started waking up 3x a night instead of 1! he would feed at 8-ish then about 2/3am but the last two nights its 7.30, 10, 1 and 4.30 :( wonder if its a growth spurt all these bubs are having???
i had him in bed with me this morning, played with him for a while then lay him on my chest and patted him, we both dozed off for about 40 mins, very nice.
ok we're going for a walk down the shops now, hopefully that will cheer him up (not sure if its his teeth or that he's a bit snotty again, poor

have a great day :D

I have a mouse in the house  , I actually had two but one commited suicide (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&rlz=1T4SKPB_enAU219AU219&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=suicide&spell=1) by jumping into an empty container in the garage and couldn't get out. But this other one won't die, and there's no rubbish or food lying around. But this morning I found the mouse had deposited his nasty business on both the bedside tables and on the blanket in Cooper's bassinet. It's so disgusting :barf:

Sorry girlks but you SHOULD!! be jealous of my coffee machine. Damn fantastic. Especially after not being able to have soy latte's or capacinos for so long cause most shops have soy with wheat in it.
I got a new members box of 250 coffee capsules. Pretty colours. I've been good and having decaf and a normal in the morning.
Toadlet got his jabs this morning. Big girly squeal but he was very happy and chatty five minutes later. he went out in his new bumblebee nappy I made and his bumblebee leg warmers.
he's about 65 cm long and 9kg!!! at 4 months and 1 week old.
I'm making him a TOAD nappy tonight!! photo to come tomorrow. Good little boy is having a big sleep.
I've actually seriously been thinking about getting them mass produced. Not worth it time wise to do it myself.
Love the photos of Owen Sunflower. Lovely blonde hair.

LT - OMG! Monty is huge! I would be jealous of your coffee machine if i didnt have one of the Dome Cafes ones at my disposal! FIL has a building company and does all the work for Dome so they have a great one at home! Plus MIL bought one for me for at work too.
Taryn - Im all for easy meals too! I quite often do vegie bakes as well as pasta bakes. I have a sausage casserole in my slow cooker at the moment.. god my house smells good.
Emma - a Mouse!?! Eeek!! hopefully he will starve and bugger off!
Sunflower and Michaela - Yeah lets all just hope its a growth spurt and that it will calm down in about a week... :fingerscrossed:
I have to make pikelets later... Craft night is at my place tonight and i can be bothered going to the shops.

Thanks for the compliments re: A
LT - He hasn't lost his hair it just gone really fair... (I knew i shouldn't have slept with the milkman) But apparently it can change before settling like they eyes do. I miss his dark hair, but he is still a cutey bum.
Wow we have a huge storm coming over now, getting really dark. Its like 1.7 degrees where i am and due to get colder.. WTF how does that work :D.
Anyhoo will read posts later, i dont like using pc in a storm.

Hollie - show us a pic of the bumblebee bum! Monty is 9kg?! wow, H isn't quite 7 yet...
mice - well i have two cats so no mice in my house (plenty in the compost bin area). one of my cats is really dumb, the other one catches mice/rats and kills them then the dopey one picks them up and tries to play hunting with a dead thing! GROSS...
Al went off to his training course today and took my keys. and i can't find his anywhere so i thought i was stuck home, unable to lock up but then i remembered the spare key buried in the garden so i could walk own the shops after all. had a chicken caesar salad at the cafe, it was ok, the chicken was crumbed which i'm not that keen on... very nice coffee there tho!
that tax thing - so its every year? NOICE :D approx $260 this year from the sound of it, that will buy me some new clothes... there is a shop down at freo markets with some really nice skirts (by a perth designer). if i reach my july goal of losing 2kg, then i am going to buy a couple of skirts and tops. and maybe another pair of jeans. i have lost nearly a kilo and Al won't be here for the next week so another kilo should be easy by end of month. then i would like to lose another 3-4 by xmas. just gotta stop eating choccies. honestly i am addicted to it!!

Taryn mine is a Belle and it is a pretty basic one. You can get ones with timers on them so that you can set it to start at a certain time. They really are a godsend though! You can cook practically anything and everything in them! I just bought a recipe book for slow cookers too and it even has desserts... (Most of the decent slow cookers come with a few recipes in the back of the manual)
AD - 1.7 degress!? :snow: Stuff that! I was cold before and it was something like 16 degrees inside.

lana, How big is Griffin?
Momty has been sleeping an awful lot latley. Surely he can't be growing more!
tazzy, instead of getting a slow cooker, buy a glass oven from Myer, they are called Easy Cook.
You can cook whole roasts with them, heat things up, do lots of things and the food is YUMMY! Easy to clean and dont take long to heat up.
Love mine, my parents had one for 15 years.
I cook chips in it with only a teeny bit of oil.
AD, toadlets hair was blonde when he was born, went bright ginger soon after and now is going light brown.
he may actually get one of my features! YEAH.

Lana ~ we used Grobag egg and sleeping bag too. The room is around 21-22C, so B sleeps in 1.0 tog one with a romper and socks. I was actually quite surprise reading that the recommeded temp is 16-20C, as the current temp feels a bit cold at night. The same temp feels ok in daytime though.
Sunflower ~ O is adorable. I love the last one.
Emma ~ hope Cooper is ok. It must freaks you out to find out that the mouse been to his bassinet!
Anna ~ hope you managed to squeeze in some rest.
LT ~ missed the coffee post before. I want one too! Nothing beats fresh coffee first thing in the morning.
Good to hear that the jab went allright. And wow, looks like we have a couple of rugby players in our hands here :) BtW, how much is Toadlet drinking these days? B is still in 975-1000ml/day. There are days when he cries when the bottle is finished, but I noticed when we're going out he doesn't drink as much.
Sarah ~ Well done for Iris! B is not rolling properly yet, he only does it half-half, meaning rolling his upper body first...rest...then the rest of his body.
Tazzy ~ I don't plan to turn B's childseat yet until he's 12kg (the limit for rear facing) or whinging about it. Currently he's ok as long as he has his hanging toy near his right hand.
AD ~ Hope it's not a big storm. Brrr....

It's great when someone has their baby and you kind of feel attached to it.
We found a way to get Monty to open his mouth and eat!
Feed him in the bath. He lies down with his mouth open and we put fod in it and then sit him up. he just ate 4 whole teaspoons of corn and chicken. Clever toadlet. he likes it too. hates rice cereal though.

Hey girls,
Had MG today which was fun, my house next week. My house is so small compared to everyone else's so far & I have invited other girls I know so knowing my luck it'll be the one day everyone will come along lol.
Will email pics to Mummy to Mason & she can upload on PB for me when she gets internet fixed.
Also have pics of E as she sat up on her own on her changetable after her shower tonight so she is wrapped in a towel, half nakey & rolly polly, so cute & clever! (minus the spew lol).
She nearly rolled today too! I put her on floor, come back & she was nearly over, saw me thought about it some more with me encouraging her & placing toys at the top of her head (back to tummy) to look for then she gave up & rolled back to her back lol.
NIC, EMMA, SHARON, JAIMIE - Do any of you wanna come to the BH meet on Friday at Carindale? I'll pm you the details if you wanna come. Hope you can.
Shezi - I could prob buy Bonds shirts & get washable paint or pens (I mean washable as in doesn't come out in wash lol) & make you one! Maybe if I get you for Secret Santa I can make A one :) Speaking of collectable pressies, MIL buys the girls a charm for each birthday which they got their first ones at birth. She is then giving them the charm bracelet to put them on when they turn 16. What if you make them a tin to put treasures in like I did with my sis & put the charm inside? I also put glitter stars inside & a couple of diamonte things. "Dream dust" as dh said... awww ... Or you could get them the scrapbook kits for kids (TRU) and make one with M for her birthday.
Gemma - I'm gonna do a candle next!!
Hollie - I noticed you are reffering to Frog as DP again ... are you back on?? Yay!
AD - Yay on the new avy! Clever girl lol. Ella smiles then sees the camera & goes serious! Cheeky bugger.
Sunflower - There can't have been 100 pages in 3 days!! Really??
Sunflower & Lana - What is it with the bubs waking all night long?? I think E's might be teeth. But I dreamfeed her cos I can't be bothered getting up for her bloody dummy all night. Sometimes bonjela & dummy is enough, she is def warm as she has singlet suit, short sleeve suit, wondersuit, bonds sleeping bag suit (is this a grobag??), plus sheet, fleece blankets & thin t-shirt material blanket. She isn't hot either.
Lana - Starting Ella on solids when I do shopping too. I am just gonna start baby cereal. Are you doing just cereal or vegies, yoghurt etc as well? How often should they eat solids when starting? Ella was practically grabbing mason's food off his high chair on the w/e lol. I need to buy a hc too. What sort do you have?
Jenny - That's what we told him to do but no, he wanted us to keep paying rent until it was clean! We said no cos lease was over that day. He was complaining about the carpets being dirty although we had them cleaned (they had bloody white carpets & we'd been there 3 yrs so of course they weren't gonna come up as nice as new anyway). He even said the carpet is made from same stuff as shopping bags so you could chuck bleach on them if wanted to. Dad nearly punched him out, he nearly punched dad, he came onto dad first & we wish he had cos we could've charged the ar$3hole for assault too. He starts an argument with everyone who moves out. When he did inspections he'd complain there were marks on the white vertical blinds & dust on top of ceilng fans. WTF who does that? So when we had inspection here & I'd just had a c/s & did a quick clean like normal I was paranoid but she didn't look at much, just walked through & chatted to me & looked at Ella! Sorry he makes me mad as h3ll.
Anna - Lol re Leah's one rosy cheek, we were laughing that all the girls at MG today had 1 rosy cheek all morning! So cute. Can you see L's teeth?
Hollie - Looking fwd to seeing the Toad nappy! Gorgeous. Hope Monty is well after his needles. Dreading Thurs! Is it still 3 needles?
AD - Speaking of hair, Ella's is finally growing some fuzz. She normally is so fair then has a sprout on top then a long black bit on the back lol. She has half blonde/ half red / half brown hair ... wonder what colour it'll be?
Sarah - I hate being by myself too ... scared of the dark after all these yrs! Lol. I have to stop saying 'lol' don't I?! Congrats on "Idi" rolling! I don't read March 08 thread. Hadn't thought about it really.
Lana - It was -2 in Kingaroy on the w/e! Lucky they had a heater :)
Gtg. Talk tomoz.

Amity's highchair snapped in half the other week when she was sitting in it so we have to take it back and get our money back. Then im just going to go to Ikea and get one of their highchairs... they are soo much easier to clean! But until griff can sit up properly in a seat i just use his rocker chair.

I think it's ok as long as A is fine and developing ok. I didn't have a good experience with my MCHN either, so I only went to the centre a few times for my moms group initial meetings, but never get B checked in there. I just have him checked by the GP (when he has his needles) & paed.
We found a way to get Monty to open his mouth and eat!
 You are always very creative, LT! And Toadlet definitely knows which is the yummy stuff.
BtW, B has a paed appointment tomorrow to talk about possibility of starting solids early. LT, Lana (& Emma - I think) ~ what is your experience with giving bub solids, do they take it well, I mean not choking and such? And does it keeps them full longer?
I'm a bit worry about the higher risk with allergy and such, cause almost everyone in my fam has allergy. Let's see what the dr say about it tomorrow.
Carrie ~ Ella is a good girl she almost rolls already! Oh, and just read a past post about your new spunky pram, how does it go? Do you like it?
Jenny - That's what we told him to do but no....
That is shocking! You sometimes wonder how they can survive in business treating customers this way.

She called the company & they said they were recalled ages ago & to take it back to where she got it from & get money back. They now have a steelcraft one.
Jenny - Pram is good but I STILL can't lock it!! Lol.

I have a Nespresso and am in love with it!! How good is the coffee!!
Re the collectables, if for girls, what about a charm bracelet with a charm for something significant that happened in the year.
My sister does charm bracelets for the girls and I love it as it tells a story of their lives so far.
oh, and i am also interested in collectables for boys if anyone has ideas? i got him a xmas decoration before i was even preggo LOL
I am doing coins for my nephew. The Australian mint does a baby set every year. I did that for his birth and then I will be buying significant ones each year eg his first birthday I bought a 100 year old half soverign. Also stamps are another idea.

i'll be interested to hear what doc says, i don't have any allergies but i don't plan to start H on food til he's 5 1/2 months or older. unless he seems to be more hungry, he is fine at the moment. i am too lazy to start pureeing stuff  also the WHO recommends exclusively breastmilk til 6 months so i am trying to do that.

Hey Jenny, Cooper's been on solids for about a week now. And he takes it well. He hasn't choked on anything yet. I'm not sure if it keeps him fuller at all as I can't keep track of the time as it flys by lol. I spoke to my doctor today (that checks Coop) and he was happy that Cooper was on solids.
But until griff can sit up properly in a seat i just use his rocker chair.
I also put Cooper in his swing to feed him so much easier and I don't have a highchair yet either.

ANYWAY there were white things wriggling.. i couldve spewed. i leapt up threw M on the lounge & told her not to move.. ran off with D to clean her up and went and cleaned the rug.. it was so foul. they were dead by the time i cleaned them.
QUESTION.. apart from getting worming tablets/medicine for everyone do i have to do anything else? wash sheets in hot water?? im horrified.. i've never had worms.. said to chris im too scared to go to the toilet now lmao! & how did she get them?!?!

Icky worms, let's hope it's just her! Not nice.
How's your little medicine spitter doing?
Sorry to hear about that accident, such a tragedy. I hope he wasn't drunk, so senseless.
For the girls presents, is M old enough to want to help with baking? The little sets you can get these days are so cool, and she could have her own little piping bag to decorate things too. (though it would mean a lot of 'tasting' which may lead to some horrid sugar highs...)
Emma, lovely pictures of the pram, very stylish! And no, LOL, I was writing to Cooper!!! Sheesh, let the man chew his own toenails girl! :p
Hello Gemma! Wow, you've been busy, gorgeous cake you talented lady, and I still can't see your Mum's arm so I think Chloe is the cleverest baby going around, hehe
No toy sale for me this week, I did go to the KMart one, as the bus stops at my gate so it seemed 'meant to be' LOL
Anna-dummy free still? You've done such a good job, I hope she doesn't have any teeth coming through, I'm sure you could do with a week or so of peace before that starts!
LL-DH loves to dress Kes, 'designs' an outfit and gets him all ready, it's pretty funny to me, who just pops him in whatever is clean unless we're going out!
I have been craving a good seafood Laksa lately, DH made a very tasty spicy one to try and induce Kes, but it was too thick, more of a chicken curry :o. I used to get it from a tiny little hole-in-the-wall restaurant beside my supermarket in Sydney, but haven't found anywhere here.
Hollie-what a rip off with your cleaner! Makes me re-think my dream... might stick to having Mum visit to cuddle Kes whilst I clean...
I think it's an awesome idea of yours to start a good quality train collection. Have you decided what gauge yet? As he'll be a bit older before he plays with them, maybe 'Z' gauge? It's tiny but so beautiful, I've seen a full setup in a suitcase before, it's almost art.
I hope Monty has left his face alone long enough to heal, poor little guy, and how frustrating!
Great to have that coffee machine, definitely a business write off, LOL
Awesome stats for the little fella, any chance of a pic of him as a bee? That sounds so cute!
Jenny, B sounds like a hearty little chappy! SO cute about his laugh, can just picture a little Chairman Mao rocking the gym with his chuckling, LOL
What t-shirts are you all talking about? I feel a tad lost! <--nothing new!
I love that pic of Griffin and Harper! It's so cool that they can hang together, amazing to think of them growing up together.
Firsttime-awesome job! I only drink a very few red wines, I'm a beer girl, but the places he visits would be so beautiful.
AD-gorgeous photo!!! I'm happy to wait till next week, the weather is pretty nasty. Let me know when a good day is for you once you know, and I'll see when I'm free (not Monday, mother's group)
Sunflower-I hope you've had a decent sleep! I wonder if it is a growth spurt that has Owen not sleeping well?
Gorgeous pictures, he is such a handsome boy, and has gorgeous blonde hair!
Sarah-you have such a sweet pair, I never get sick of pics of those two... and as usual I am totally smitten with O! Love the choccy monster pic, can you post him to me for a holiday? Pleeease? :p
Wow that took a long time to reply, I started at 10pm Tuesday and finish at 9am Wednesday... LOL

where did you get the flu shot? arm? i always ask if they'll do them in my hip/bum area.. saves from getting dead arms too.

LL - i thought you were going to talk to your hubby - you keep posting - ha ha lol!
i like the coins idea - i am going to google the australian mint now.
LL - did you get yours at the perth mint?
yeh, well he was more interested in playing with his son than talking to his wife lol
the baby set was a gift, i think from perth mint, the others are from aus mint.
WORMS - ewww, but i do remember my bro and i having them when we were kids. i liked the medicine coz it was this chocolate stuff haha...
Flu shot - this is the first year i HAVENT had it. my work does them for us as we have all those germy students coming in lol.
Hollie LOVE the toad bum! how did you do the toad? is it sewn on? does that make it leak or is there PUL behind it?
Sheree your baby pics look heaps like A and i think the toddler one looks like D too. and how rude of that nurse!!
ok someone grizzling for morning nap... i am still tired so i'm going to have a nap too :D lazy mummy.

Shezi love those pics of you as a bub. I agree with LL.
Worms - well Logan hasnt had worms but I wormed him, DH, dogs not long after Jacey was born. We got the choc squares and he munched them down. I think you can get them from playing in dirt/sand and being around animals!! not sure really. We cant take them while breastfeeding.

Hi girls
Yesterday we had MG & I am so paranoid about having it at my house next week cos they all have nice houses, nice cars etc & my house is like the size of the lounge room we were in yesterday. Plus our lounge looks untidy cos of all the cd's, dvd's etc piled up cos we don't have a good entertainment unit and I have invited others since only 4 or 5 of us usually come along. Knowing my luck everyone I invited will come along & I won't have anywhere for them to sit because we only have 4 spots on the lounge & arm chair. We have the spare arm chair in the rumpus room but no where to put it & too much hassle to put computer in there & move chair back here where it was cos dh has to take it out the sliding doors in there & in the sliding doors in the lounge room. I feel so embarrassed by my car all the time & I know my house is always clean & tidy but their houses are just all new & perfect.
I had a horrible night last night & like a bloody zombie today because Ella just kept waking up for her dummy, one stage after panadol & bonjela she was still very upset so I gave her a bottle which gave me another hour or 2 but it was so full on & like having a newborn again. F**king teeth! I am so tired. I got some dvd's out after MG yesterday cos it is $1.95 Tuesday & I got Music & Lyrics, Man About Town & Norbit. M&L was good (I watched yesterday) and I watched Norbit this morning as they both have to go back today.
I am also paranoid about myself atm. I just wanna get nails done, brazilian or at least g-string wax, I wish my hair wasn't so f**ked up except when I straighten it, I need new clothes that make me look good lol and to lose weight. Thinking about doing the Tony Ferguson diet. What do you think? It is $65 to join at Terry White but they monitor you. And maybe get a spray tan or go to the solarium ... or just wear short sleeves in the sun I guess. I wanna be a **** lol.
Sorry I am just feeling sorry for myself today.
Ok gonna do replies now.

Thanks for all your comments bout Owen!
Well the little bugger knocked another bottle out of me at 3am, he's tummy was rumbling so loudly!! He only got up once though thankgod.
Carrie i know how you feel!! I feel like sh*t too, my hair is falling out everywhere, I've lost lots of weight lately and my bones are sticking out I've been drinking sustagen to try and put some weight on.
Shezi I was eating breakfast when I read your worm story ewwwww!!! :barf:
LT that nappy looks great!! I brought some maldin fleece to make some nappys before Owen was born but I'm not very good at sewing, so I didn't end up using it, If you want it I could send it too you It's just sitting in the cupboard it might aswell get used.
Nemosmum Congrats on Iris rolling!!! Owen still isn't interested in rolling. He has rolled over to the side since he was 9 weeks old but never goes the whole way.
Annsam do you still have a dummy free house?? do you find she is sleeping longer without it?

REPLIES:
OMG Shezi I hope D is ok & she hasn't passed it onto you, Chris, M or A. Have you taken her to the dr's? The set with the baby crystals sound beautiful. The charm E got at birth from MIL is booties & very cute. Where do you buy the crystals from? I might put some in E's treasures tin when I make it. I am also gonna buy the Rihanna single of Umbrella cos I always say it's Ella's song cos she goes Umbrella Ella Ella ... lol.
Also with the charms, if you are still going to do that, will you get the bracelet for their 16th birthdays like MIL or get the bracelet & attach as you go? I think either way it's nice ... even if MIL isn't my fave person lol.
I will have a look at pics after this post cos u got me curious & in case it f**ks my computer up again.
Maybe with the tins if I get you for secret birthday santa I could make A one instead of a bonds t-shirt. Speaking of bonds t-shirts I got one at babyshower which my old boss & his gf made for me which says in puffy paint stuff "I love boobies". But it is a size 0 and not really appropriate for E since she is bottlefed ...
Emma - you sound like me having everything done by 8.30 lol. I do it so I can go back to bed but then I don't anyway.
Ella looked so cute in her bunny suit last night cuddling her bunny ... my 2 pink bunnies lol. She is still wearing it cos couldn't be bothered bathing her this morning. She's lying on my lap.
GIN - Are you now a MOD? Congrats!! How do ya do that?
And no the plumber hasn't even called! I must email the agent I think & tell her in case she forgot. Although dh tied a chux cloth around the pipe & had no trouble since lol. (There it is again! Hehe).
How do you go getting the bus? There is a bus stop about 5 mins away & I could get to the train, the shops etc but not sure how I'd go with pram. Lucky these are different buses to main Brisbane buses as different council & usually have no one on them lol.
Hollie - Gonna look at Toad bum after this post, been looking fwd to seeing it!
Ok I hope I replied to everyone. I have taken to opening a new message in Outlook & writing it while reading then copying & pasting onto a reply

carrie dont stress about your car & house. everyones over to chat and make friends.. if they judge you they're not worth your time anyway!
re bracelet i think i'll buy adult size ones & do a charm every year and put them away. what do you think??
the crystals were from 'prouds' and theres another jewellery store too but cant think of the name..
well got the worming stuff today.. D & M are all done BUT you cant give it to babies under 6months & i cant have it due to breastfeeding.. so i've just gotta :fingerscrossed: A & i dont get it.. they said if i do just take the tablet at night to try to skip a breastfeed.

Emma.. Love it! I wish the toadlet would open his chompers like that. We still have to trick him.
Very happy smiley baby you have.
Sunflower, what colour fleece do you have? Microfleece or windpro / DWR?
You should get sewing!
Shezi, what a rude moo moo that lady was asking about fathers. You should have said. "Well yes, I've named all three of my kids Danielle, and to tell them apart, I just call them by their surnames.
I like embarresing people when they are rude and inapproriate.
Soooo.... Bluegin. Who on earth gave you Mod status! What is bubhub coming to, I just don't feel safe anymore.
Also, you seam to Know abot trains??? I wanted a really nice set that he can actually play with. My two older brithers had fantastic steam engines you put jiffy lighter tabs in and they took a while to heat up.
Shezi.. I do actually have some green and blue striped leg warmers. They would go well with the nappy. I'll try it on him when he wakes up.
LL. The toad is sewn on with really short zig zag stitch. I put a layer of PUl underneath it and it doesnt leak at all. Tme consuming but makes them look very groovy. The sheep and the toad nappy are my favourites. next one will be a duck!
CarrieB BRAZILIAN!!
Swimming this morning.
Toadlet was the youngest there, the other babies were 7 - 10 months.. he was the second largest. fatty!
No grizzling, behaved really well and splished and splashed. Not sure I like the instructors though. One is quite crabby looking.
I should get my pram early next week.

Jenny - Pram is good but I STILL can't lock it!! Lol.
OMG that is so scary. What is the brand & name of the HC?
Carrie ~ hope you get a hang of locking it soon. I just got used to opening our pram too! Before that I was pretty much confined to walking around our place, didn't dare to go on a car trip without DH in case I couldn't open the pram
Sorry to hear about last night. Hope E is back to her happy self today.
I am also paranoid about myself atm.
I can completely relate to this. We borrowed The Devil Wear Prada some weeks ago and I felt so ugly & frumpy afterwards. Went to have a facial the next day and felt a bit better. Maybe schedule some TLC or clothes shopping?
BtW, love E pic in your new ava. She's just adorable!
I am doing coins for my nephew.
Love the idea, RTCsMum.
i'll be interested to hear what doc says...i am too lazy to start pureeing stuff
Will let you know what he says. Hehe, same here re. pureeing. Actually I just wondered the other day if it'll be ok to buy the jars food and freezing them in ice cube trays, since bub will only eat a bit to start with. Anybody can shed a light on this?
Hey Jenny, Cooper's been on solids for about a week now.
Eww just saw the mouse again.
Thanks for the info Emma, that sounds promising.
Ewwww!!
the nickname came from a guy who thought my name was pronounced "milarka" instead of "micarla" then my mates were saying milarka, milarky, larka, laksa and it just stuck lol
That's so cute!
oh my flippity flippin gosh! D has WORMS!!
O dear! Hope she's ok and nobody else in the family gets it.
jenny the $600 payment is 'i think' till 16 or possibly 18. my sis still gets money for her 14yr old.
That's a real great news. Thanks Sheree!
..., but haven't found anywhere here.
What t-shirts are you all talking about? I feel a tad lost! <--nothing new!
Moderator Gin, there is a small shop in Doncaster called Straits Cafe that makes a yum one, but it's a bit far from your place. Alternatively, the 3 Chinta Ria cafe ones (Brunswick St, Acland St near Cicciolina or near Prince hotel St Kilda) are also quite good.
T-shirts? I think I need to check my post again, can't remember what it's about.

hey all, we are having such a nice day
went to have a nap at 9.30 but Harps' room was so cold, so i snuggled up with him in my bed. he fell asleep with his hand on my cheek (SO sweet! wish Al was here to take a pic) and didnt wake up til 11.10!! his "long nap" is usually only an hour so i was stoked. then we went up to garden city (shops) and he had a huge sleep in the pram, what a good boy. when we got home, he had nappy-free outside which he loves. its a beautiful day here so we are enjoying it as its going to rain tomorrow...
Emma - wow, Cooper loves the food! the video froze up halfway through tho, our wireless router is dying and it drops out
Hollie - so what did they do at the swimming lesson? i'd love to start H but i hate getting out of a pool in winter!! so i think we'll wait til oct/nov.
Jenny - i went to a baby shower on the weekend where we had to taste that jar baby food and it was RANK!! the fruit ones were ok but the ones that are meant to be meat or veg or dog food maybe... :barf:
i think i will get Al to make the pureed veg and freeze it for when he's away, he likes cooking, i don't!

Thanks Emma me too cos we have to get up at 5am to take dh to work then have a big day starting Kindermusik then getting needles & putting a high chair on laybuy.
Cleaned & moved around 2 rooms today & look heaps better. Feel better now lol.
Plumber came before & looked at leaky hot water system & he has to replace whole thing i think! The pipes are all attached to our brick laundrey wall ... fun.He was grumpy.
LT - I luv ducks!! How cute! You are so talented. You could make a fortune making nappies, have an online business & people can personalise nappies & you make them & charge them through the roof.
Glad Monty liked swimming, what did you have to do? I can't wait for E's to start in October. What's wrong with a b wax? Except omg it kills when not maintained lol, thought you were the queen of "muff maintenance" hehe. OMG you crack me up - calling the 3 girls Danielle & calling them by their last names! HAHA. You would be an awesome friend to have around.
Jenny - I can't remember the name of the high chair, you'd be best to ask Lana.
Dh managed to lock the pram closed but it even took him a big effort so I'll just not bother lol. I just have to be careful lifting it into the car cos it has popped open on top of me a couple of times making me look like an idiot.
I still have a voucher for Pure Indulgence from Christmas which expires in Sept so will do that soon. Already had facial but they wouldn't do anything else whilst prg even though mum asked them & she put the treatments down they said I could have! Needless to say I wasn't happy when I turned up & they said no. So they wrote an exrta treatment down! I have a back one & foot and something else I think. I'd never had a facial before & felt amazing afterwards!
Sarah - I expected the same thing with Shezi's bro in Las Vegas! Hehe ... Glad O liked preschool. I was thinking it's an odd time to start preschool this time of year but that's what happens now isn't it and do they start at 3 now instead of 4/5?
Lana - What is it with these bubs not sleeping?! And then you get them to sleep & you fall so heavily asleep & then they cry again, sometimes it has only been 15 mins & feels like at least an hour lol ... there's that lol again! Hehe, lol :p And it is so much worse inthis cold isn't it? Tonight if she wakes a few times in a row I am going to just bring her into bed & cuddle cos I can't be bothered tonight really. I can't believe panadol, bonjela & 3 bottles (usually has none!) didn't work. She's in bed now crynig again. Oh well ...

Hi girls
Haven't read yet. Absolutely buggered and just checking in. Went to a nice birth today. Had a lot of potential to end very badly but it didn't thank god as it was one of my dearest friends. Whew! Leah on the other hand was an absolute nightmare for DH  :o .
Went and spent a sh*t load at PP in their sale on both kids (and the new bubba who I wasn't actually expecting ot see today).
Sams turned into a real boy over night. You know those kids in the shops who aren't misbehaving badly but are jsut a handful and you think "Im glad my kids better behaved than that?......." well Sams turned into one in the last week. Couldnt get him out from under the clothes racks and he was arguing with a little girl about what day of the week it was........ Normally hes such a good little man.
Day 4 with no dummy!! Im so proud. Even went out without one today - scary stuff! Dh nearly caved today though but didn't luckily.
Anyhow, off to watch house and have a bag of burger rings. Will catch up tomorrow.
Night all. xx

NM ~ Aw, Iris looks so comfy and as always a cutie. Love the ducks, it's so funky. The butterflies are so pretty too!
he makes friends easily, when i went tp oick him up he was msaking mud pies with eloise and mary two older 4yr olds...always with the older women hahahaha
Oh, he's so cute! NM ~ you'll be having so much trouble when he grown up.
Lana ~ thanks for the info. Will make a note not to buy that one. It must be very scary when it snapped. Was Amity in it?
I love the pic of Amity and Griffin, they look so cute together.
Poor girl. Hope Griff goes back to his usual self soon. BtW, he looks so cheeky and grown up in your new ava.
B is also playing up today. Usually he does 3 naps 4-hourish in total, but today he only did 2 half-hour naps the whole day. He's also still awake now @ 8.30pm, while usually already snoozes @ 7pm. DH is reading him stories now try to get him to sleep as I'm completely exhausted.
hey all, we are having such a nice day
Jenny - i went to a baby shower on the weekend where we had to taste that jar baby food and it was RANK!! the fruit ones were ok but the ones that are meant to be meat or veg or dog food maybe... :barf:
LL ~ glad to hear that you have such a nice day. And yes...more sleep is always welcome these days!
That sounds really bad. I guess that's the end of my jar food plan then.
Firsttime ~ thanks for the info. I think you're right about the iron thing, I may need to start drinking some supplement. One thing I hate about iron supplements though, they make me constipated (sorry TMI!).
Plumber came before & looked at leaky hot water system & he has to replace whole thing i think! The pipes are all attached to our brick laundrey wall ... fun.He was grumpy.
I still have a voucher for Pure Indulgence from Christmas which expires in Sept....
Hope the plumbing is sorted soon.
Oh, that sounds lovely. I'm sure you'll feel a different woman after that, well...plus Bwax! One v. funny thing. I persuaded DH once (b4 we're married) to do Bwax. He came out very pale and vowed never to do it again! I still tease him about it sometimes .
Anna ~ well done with the birth. And hats-up for persevering with the dummy!
Cold case is on ~ better go. Will catch-up on the rest of the posts later.

Jenny - YEP! Thats the really scary thing, Amity was in it! Thankfully DP had just put her in so he still had hold of her and was about to strap her in... Not happy at all.
Michaela - I so need to give Griff more nappy off time. He really loves it. Thats one reason i wish we had grass outside, so we could enjoy these beautiful days while they are still here.
I had a "Guess the Baby Food" game at my baby shower (welcoming him lol) too... the gels and some custards are ok but are full of sugar. But yeah, the others all taste like dog food. No wonder Amity preferred our dinners!
I did the Smallprint thing from the kids for Sam for Fathers day today... Will get them back in August... cant wait!

Jenny - YEP! Thats the really scary thing, Amity was in it! Thankfully DP had just put her in so he still had hold of her and was about to strap her in... Not happy at all.
O dear! Glad Amity was ok.
Went to the paed today. He basically said that because B is a big boy we may need to start solids sooner than 6m. Especially if B starts to still be hungry after his bottle on most feed. We can also choose to wait until 6m, but he wouldn't recommend us to add the amount of formula B drinks, cause looks like B is quite efficient in using his calorie intake (= easy to gain weight, same as his mom lol).
Re. the risk of allergy, from his experience there is not much difference between starting now at around 4.5m and waiting until 6m. Just needs to be careful when introducing new foods and introduce them one type at a time.
We had B weighed today and he's 9.5kg :o which is way above the 97th percentile. So we also got a referral to a dietician in RCH for guidance when we decide to start him on solids. This rapid weight gain starts to make me a bit worry....

Jenny - Hopefully the weight gain is just because he is a big boy, as you said. Its good that they are offering you that service though. It is always nice to see a doc doing their job properly
I sat Griffin on our bathroom scales today and he weights 8kg! Not bad. So he is 5 months and 8 kgs... i just have to measure him now.
It is really quiet on here tonight.. I always feel like a bit of a thread killer lol. Every time i post there is a massive wait until someone else replies!:o

LL - What a good boy & a lovely day! Does H lie on the grass? I never thought of laynig outside with E - she hasn't even had nappy free time yet lol (sorry!).
my brother bought him a great mat, its got tarp on the back so it can go on the grass. and the top is soft and has ocean theme like his room. i have it on the loungeroom floor most of the time so he doesnt get covered in cat hair on the rug :o
but yeh he LOVES it outside, so much to look at and fresh air etc. i also got him one of those outdoor FP swings in the k-mart sale for $30. it says 6mo but it reclines for bubs. he looks scared if we swing it but he likes just laying in it watching me hang out washing!
Lana - Griff looks so grown up in your new avy! and so cute sleeping in the walker :D
ok got washing to fold... H is in bed but i expect him to wake up soon so i better get some housework done.
hope all the bubs (including mine!) sleep better tonight!!

Carrie, hope the hot water thingy gets fixed soon, and you feel better tomorrow.
Sarah Iris looks very cute with her duck.
Anna that's great Leah still hasn't had her dummy, no doubt you would have been annoyed if your Dh gave it to her today.
Jenny with allergy's i think if you just give bubs very basic foods, like mashed vege, and apples, bananas, pears puree of course, I wouldn't be to concerned.
Talking of solids...does any one know how often during the day you should give solids?
Caithi, Scoob and anyone else MIA :hugs: hope your all okay.

Hi Girls. just a quickie again - still barely managing to keep up with this thread....
Matthew too is one of the unsettled ones today and tonight. Just as i thought things were starting to maybe settle down a bit he went backwards again today.
Anna - well done on the dummy removal. I think I should do the same just don't have the energy yet. Maybe when we all get over these rotten colds I'll give it a try.
Love the piccies everyone. Sorry I haven't posted any recently. Will try to soon I promise.
Gotta go - can't believe its already 11pm.... aargh! I just gotta get to bed earlier. Been stuffing around doing stuff and avoiding the huge pile of washing that needs to be folded!
PS got a meeting on Monday with my work (looking at going back 1 day around Sept and doing my other day from home) but BEST news - I tried some of my old work clothes on today and guess what - :smiliedance: they fit me:smiliedance:. Dh had been telling me I was looking good (i thought he was just being sweet OR after a bit of Valentine) but until those clothes fit you just don't believe it. Anyway feeling a little bit good about it so just had to share. Pity DH is away again.... back on Friday.

GIN - Are you now a MOD? Congrats!! How do ya do that?
 i was too scared to say anything incase it was baby brain and she'd been a mod for ages! congrats BG!
Shezi, what a rude moo moo that lady was asking about fathers. You should have said. "Well yes, I've named all three of my kids Danielle, and to tell them apart, I just call them by their surnames.
I like embarresing people when they are rude and inapproriate.
i used to be so quick witted.. loved it.. for some reason now tho i think quickly but wont open my mouth and say it.. i turned shy while preg with M.. i think it had something to do with being shamed out heaps.. nothings improved since chris.. so much for protecting your gf hey!
Shezi.. I do actually have some green and blue striped leg warmers. They would go well with the nappy. I'll try it on him when he wakes up.
ooo sounds like a photo coming on :D
love the pics of griffy & amity!!
YAY for day 4 anna. lol re sam. sorry not funny for you but i know exactly what you mean!
Jenny.. i wouldnt be too worried re the weight. it would actually comfort me more than anything.. when babies fall ill even colds and what not they can lose weight quite fast so having the extra weight isnt a bad thing. im sure once he's more active it'll all even out :hugs: its great that your doctor is so on top of everything tho!
oops forgot to ring the photographer.. need to book in more photos for the girls. gonna get a couple of family pics done & a 4&1/2month old one of A.
chris finished a little early today.. he's still not well. been in bed all afternoon and is still there now. think i might sleep on the lounge. i dont want to get any worse..

Anna~ congrats on your friends bub:smiliedance: that is so very exciting!
and congrats on the dummy-less four days!!!
Jenny~ OMG Brendan is growing so fast! he sounds alot like O, his a very big build too
O also had allergies (runs in both our families) we started O at around 4mths on rice cereal and then when we discovered his allergies at 7mths was tried the elimination diet and just introduced foods like pear, potato and rice cereal as those are very bland and dont cause reactions etc
I also had to be on the E diet as i was still bfing it was very hard but worth it.
Gd luck with it
As for Iris and solids....she has started eyeing off our food BUT Im determined to make her wait till 6mths or after
she is very happy with her "oobie milkies" as O calls it and is such a contented lil soul!
although her teething is still bad!
PS got a meeting on Monday with my work (looking at going back 1 day around Sept and doing my other day from home) but BEST news - I tried some of my old work clothes on today and guess what - they fit .

well i had a great day yesterday then a bad night. went to bed about 10.30 but i had a tummy ache/vomiting so was still awake when H woke up at 11.30. i kept him in bed with me til 2.30 when he had a feed and slept til nearly 9!! which was great for me, after :barf: half the night. also the retic came on about 12.30 when i was dozing off and i could hear water just pouring out everywhere, one of the sprinklers broken. had to go out in the cold and turn it off. THEN i had closed my bedroom door coz Harps was in there and Tilly kept scratching and miaowing to come in on the bed. so annoying when i was feeling **** anyway!!

Morning all.
Buggered today. That bloody dog next door let rip at 2am!! :hair: (ha! I can use it for real :D ). Leah slept well last night. Woke at 11.30 and 4am so the stretches are getting bigger. Day sleeps still not flash.... only going down for 30-60 minutes at a time and resisting resettling aka screaming bloody murder.
Sarah, cant open the link.
LL, sorry to hear about your crappy night. That does sound like an awful lot.
Emma, I believe its recommended to start on a table spoon at one meal per day and work up. Dont know what to work up to or how quickly but thats what my memory tells me Ive read somewhere. I of course did not do that when DS started solids.
R&M's mum, congrats on the clothes.
Had a friend come over for a chat. Shes having her baby next week so thats very exciting. Off to the hospital this avo to see the other baby (thank goodness I haven't got AF back as Im clucky as hell :o ). Looking forward to seeing her. Makes me sad how much Leah is so grown up now.
Anyway, nothing much going on here. Have a good afternoon all.

Hi Girls, thanks heaps for the reassurances. Hearing them - especially from the experienced moms - make me feel much better :)
Lana & Shezi ~ we like this dr because he's very thorough and patience. I just hate it when dr is always in a hurry and can't wait to get his patient out of the door. I think that's very rude.
Lana ~ Sounds like Griff is developing very well. He looks very grown-up too now.
I always feel like a bit of a thread killer lol.
Nah...that's not true. Must be the winter nights causing March mummies to have an early ones.
i turned shy while preg with M..
:hugs: shy or quick witted, you're a very kind person, Sheree.
Can't wait to see the pictures. The girls must look so cute together.
Emma & NM ~ thanks for the food tips related to allergy. I'll try to stick to the basic foods when we start.
A book called "This little Piggy went to Prada" with made up shopping nursery rhymes
NM ~ I couldn't stop laughing to read that you bought this for Iris. No doubt she'll be a great shopping companion soon.
R&MMum ~ yay! It must feel awesome to fit in those clothes again. I still around 5kg from my pre-pregnancy weight, so haven't dare to try on my old fitting clothes yet.
well i had a great day yesterday then a bad night.

That's a bummer. Hope you're feeling better now. Lucky Harper getting his nappy-free time. B only has it once since he's born. He sprayed all over his portacot & carpet, needless to say no more for him since then!

LL - Aww hun i hope you are feeling better today. I always feel bad when i hear about how much nappy free time Harper has. Poor Griff, i am depriving him... FREE WILLY!!!
Emma - Cooper definitely looks like he wants it though so its not like you are forcing it down. I think i gradually built up Amitys amount during the first week of solids then just followed her lead.
Sarah - Love the book. very cute!

One thing to remember with Slow cookers is that unlike an oven, the liquid you put in will not evaporate or boil down. So, if you are ever trying to convert a normal recipe to a slow cooker basically do everything the same BUT only add about half of the liquid quantities.
Sheree - How cute that A is in her Highchair! Griff would have been sitting in his if the d@mn thing hadnt of broken. :banghead:

I think i'd forgotten how reasurring it feels to read ur posts. I don't seem to get much of a chance to get online for more than a few moments to check emails these days.
Will is a brilliant boy. Growing fast - just over 8kgs and 67cms (was 4 months march 11th). He's started teething which is not much fun for him (or I). Darn toothy-pegs. Any advice mums? Kinda starting solids but feel a bit lost. Been doing bit of bottle then rice cereal when he gets bored with it on his 2nd morning feed. He;s been bringing up more milk after most feeds lately. What could be causing this? Rice cereal or teething? Kinda feel like so much is changing all at once.
Great to see pics of ur bubs on ur aviators. All growing so fast just as Will is. Hope I can catch up with u all a bit more often... Sorry post is all me me me.... bit out of the loop with u all.

maybe he is bringing up milk cos he isnt digesting the food properly yet? , although i have no clue really. my health nurse told me to wait for 6 months to start but every baby is probably different.

Firstbubonway-great to see you around again!
For Kes's toothypegs I am using Bonjela in the evenings (when it seems he is really suffering, starts squealing and crying), and Dymadon some days when he is very grizzly and chomps on my knuckles. The other paracetamol brands really bothered him, and made him throw up all day, I felt like such a bad Mum when I realised that was why the little guy was spewing :(, all good now.
I had my nutritionist meeting (we have one for Mother's Group) about starting solids, was reasonably good.
She suggested starting with a teaspoon full some time in the afternoon when you and bubs are calm and happy, and bubs has had a nice big milky breakfast earlier. She said if the tongue pushes it out, give it another try. If it keeps happening over a couple of days the baby isn't ready probably. If it does take the food, to gradually increase the amount till you're at half a cup a day.
I'm not starting them yet (though he looks so longingly at my food and reaches for it, the nurse seemed to think this was an indicator till I told her he has done it since the day he was born! LOL). She seemed to think that if iron-fortified cereal wasn't given by 6 months that the baby would practically collapse on the spot from iron deficiency, but it doesn't sound right so I'm going to research more. Not that I'm against giving him the stuff necessarily, but I'd like to see what the options are.
Anna-congrats on the 2nd birth, great that it went well being a close friend. And good job with the dummy, you must be on the home stretch by now!
Shezi, the only thing different i do with casseroles is to sometimes add a dash of Worcestershire sauce to it, adds "zing"! How are you and the girls recovering?
LL-that mat sounds awesome, as for cat hair, what do you do with stuff like the mat to keep it clean? I find us having to spend ages every night hiding everything and putting plastic bags on stuff to deter our beastly cat. Frustrating!
LT-we had electric trains, they're pretty awesome as you have a little transformer with a throttle that you attach to the set and you can make them stop for stations and stuff! The best thing to do would probably be to go to a hobby store and see what tickles your fancy, and the people there I'm sure will be more than happy to bore you with the details, LOL
Sorry to all those I missed (and I know there were lots!), I'll try to keep up to date a bit better,

Oh, someone mentioned about Kes being 4 months on the 28th? I am just counting by actual weeks so far, so every Wednesday I go up a week (he is literally 16 weeks old this week, so 4 months).

Hey girls, haven't done much reading. Not in a flash way today.
Last evenign when I was at the hospital sam threw the MOTHER of all tantrums. I had to drag him to the car by his elbow as he wouldn't put his legs on the ground - Leah was in the BB so couldn't carry him. Anyone watching would have thought he was a real little sh*t or that I was abusing him. It was horrid. I nearly cried.
Last night I went ot bed exhausted and the bloody dog from next door started up then when it finally stopped at 11.30pm - I couldnt get to sleep. Its the first time in my life I literally did not get ANY sleep at all. Not even 10 minutes so went to the Dr today to say "what the hell is going on?". I now have sleeping tablets to help me through the next couple of nights or so.
Sams daycare called just as I was rushing out the door to the Drs to say he had conjunctivitis so a wizz trip there to grab him and squeeze him in on my consultation......... sure enough he has.
Ok, Sams performing. Leahs performing. Must go.

LL-that mat sounds awesome, as for cat hair, what do you do with stuff like the mat to keep it clean? I find us having to spend ages every night hiding everything and putting plastic bags on stuff to deter our beastly cat. Frustrating!
firstly, don't try to make Kes grow up even faster lol
well, i have to admit i am not as bothered by the cat hair now he's older. i just fold up the mat when i'm not around so the cats don't sleep on it. i vaccuum the sofa a couple of times a week as they drag leaves in from outside. do you shut your bedroom door? if i have H in bed with me then i do coz the cats have always slept on the bed, they love to cuddle up and i don't want them sitting on Harper!
he slept with me most of last night. woke at 2 and 4.30 but i just stuck a boob in his mouth lol. Tilly was miaowing to come in at 5.30 so i put Harps in the cot and he didnt get up til 9.30! :smiliedance: little legend knows mummy likes to stay up late then sleep in. he woke up before 9 but was just chatting to himself so i didnt go in.
ok well i have a friend coming over this arvo so i should do some cleaning around here. anyone else spend most of their day just playing with bub and relaxing when they sleep? i feel like a very lazy housewife :o i do the basics (laundry, dishes etc) but i wait til Al gets back to help me with extra cleaning. lazy lazy mummy hahaha...
ETA: Anna, sorry to hear about your lack of sleep and the tantrum!!

just a quicky from me as A now has a snotty nose and cough.. gave her panadol for her temp and she projectile vomited!
still managed most of my shopping earlier coz bub has was fine till mid morning.. its my brothers birthday so i bought him a wallet.. also picked up M's birthday prezzies.. a leapster click start thingy.. keyboard that connects to the tv. she loves computers so i got a winner there & also a dora 3wheel scooter. i'll buy her an outfit and then shes done. not going overboard coz theyre having a party this year.
me & my bro went halves and bought mum a roxy purse coz she so needed a new one and doesnt buy herself anything. we're on the hunt for new clothes for her now. shes so damn fussy!!
then put a layby on in the surf shop. school bag & matching pencil case for M for kindy next year(xmas present). a shirt for my nephews bday & bought something for dp but wont say what incase he reads this.
it feels good to get a few things out the way! im planning on putting laybys here & there then just pay it all off slowly. much easier imo. also my brother is a tart & knows heaps of the store girls so we kept getting discount! lol. must shop with him more often!
gaby i put all the ingredients in at once. much easier then just leave it be hehe. umm we eat at 5pm and i put it on at 9.30 i think.. maybe 9?? anyway it was ready around 4pm :)
love the pics of alexander. looks like he loves his new swing!
anna :hugs: :hugs: i really hope today got better & you get a great sleep tonight!
FBOW would love to see a pic of Will if you have one online. he sounds adorable! does will like rusks to chew on? or even a plastic spoon or a cold wet flannel. not sure re solids.. have you tried him on mashed banana? or avocado? theyre meant to be great first foods.
BG, yeah dont stress over solids.. D didnt go well at all till 8months.. and took pretty much nothing before 7months. wonder what the nurse wouldve thought of her lol.
ok so much for my 'quickie post'. A's sleeping on me. no idea what im going to do re medicine for her..

Hey girls
This is what I was gonna post yesterday (Thursday) but computer crashed:
Haven't yet read posts cos had a sh!t @rs3 night & day. I was up 10 times in 5 mins last night plus all the other times then bought E into bed & she still kept waking up. She has kept screaming & being a pooh bum today & we were 20 mins late for kindermusik. Then we had needles & she was winging before we even walked inside. Bottle cheered her up after needles but screamed the place down for the next 15 mins we had to hang around. Lucky SIL's mum was working (receptionist) & she saved me just before they jabbed Ella & held her legs down for me. We gave her panadol when she was settling but then she stopped & was happy & she was crying by the time I walked outside 1 min later. Went to Target to laybuy a high chair & she screamed Target down for hours needless to say I didn't end up lay buying christmas presents for niece & nephew cos of that & cos i couldn't think straight. I could fall asleep now but maybe after H&A / BB.
Hope E is better tonight & tomoz as tomoz we are going to a BH meet. One of the ladies from MG is coming with. Hope it's good. I didn't even buy any nibblies to take yet.
I nearly bought what I thought was a beautiful nappy cover but then I realised it's an MCN one where you need to insert a clothie. It was only $6 and nearly did but decided against it. If I was to buy some in summer (when she doesn't need pants on) would I just put normal towling nappy inside like I use for spewies?
Ok gtg have a shower. Dh isn't home, I am buggered & covered in baby spew.
PS I have to go for day surgery as I have Carpel Tunnel Syndrome ...
I will reply to posts maybe tomorrow morning otherwise not til Sat as busy all day tomorrow then going to HP tomorrow night.
Have a good night girls.
xo
TODAY:
Ok I will go back & read posts from last 2 days now if I have time. I have been out all day today as well at a Bub Hub meet (where we got 2 new recruits for Mother's Group) and then to beachfront with mum & dad for fish & chips. I have to go get ready very shortly as going to see HP tonight. If I don't write a reply to the posts I will tomorrow.

Well all the March bubs seem to be big bouncing babies except for mine!! We had our 4 month check yesterday and Chloe is stil in the 20% for height and 35% for weight (5.8kg clothed). They are not worried as she is in the right proportions so I am just as happy with my little one.
Anna - well done on the no dummy I am impressed!!
Sarah - stop tempting me with great shopping sites !!! Only joking !!!
Shezi - I do a great lamb stew with a tin of tomatoes, 1/2 cup of red wine, a sprig of fresh rosemary, a beef stock cube, lots of mushrooms and it always turns out really well.
Went to the Target sale a 8pm last night, it was great no queues and hardly any one there. Got all the girls birthday and christmas pressies finished now Yahh:smiliedance:
Got to go still havent finished reading all the posts but all hell has broken loose !!!!

Ok I'm back as my sis rang when I went in shower & she is really sick ... she was lying on floor at uni & mum & dad have to go get her cos she's too sick to drive :( She has had mumps but she thinks this is something she ate at lunch time. We are going tomorrow arvo instead. Dave is working in the morning so I wanna leave when he gets home so I can buy my book & get manobrows waxed beforehand if possible. Prob won't have time ... I am letting him have the car even though I wanna go & get book first thing when released but I figure I'll get a copy at Garden City. Last book I pre-ordered months beforehand but they just went & got one off the shelf anyway.
E had 4 mth needles yesterday & her stats are:
Length - 68cm
Weight - 7.5kg (Yay I can prob turn car seat around in about a week!)
Head - 41cm
Don't think that is right though cos her head was 41.5cm and it should be bigger not smaller. Oh well. Health nurse on 31st ... I think this is part of the reason she is really sh!tty lately & awake all night, having a big growth spurt, no wonder she's feeding every 2 hours! That is nearly 1kg in 2 1/2 weeks!
Did I say on my post from yesterday that I have to have surgery on my hand as I have carpel tunnel syndrome? Yeah ... Oh and the hot water system was fixed but it's sprung another leak, not as bad, but dh called plumber who swore cos it's in a very awkward posy.
ANNA - Glad the birth went well. Now your dh can see what you put up with all day too! What is PP?? (I'll prob kick myself when you tell me). Cheeky Sam! Just saw you are very clucky ... maybe a number 3 is to come along sooner rather than later?? Sorry you have had a rotten time lately, I hope the sleeping pills work & you get some much needed rest xo
Ok I have to go for a sec & eat my (naughty) dinner. Dh said he's not cooking so he went & got us Macca's.
LL - That's good idea, I might get picnic rug out of car & sit outside with her ... if there aren't all the ants there used to be that is. Does his wee go through to the mat though or do you have heaps of towels or what? I want one of those swings but no where ot hang it. E has a swing on outdoor gym we're getting her for xmas. I Hope you are feeling better today xo
EMMA - I asked dr about how often to give E solids (starting baby cereal when I do shopping) and he said they usually only eat a couple of mouthfulls for starters anyway so it will increase when they get used to it but it really depends on what the baby wants. I was gonna start giving her cereal for brekky but now I am thinking afternoon to fill her up more before dinner. Ensure you give Cooper his bottle first before he eats his solid food that's all.
SHARON - Congrats on fitting into your work clothes! I wouldn't even wanna go there lol. That's awesome. You never feel like you have lost anything until you discover you fit into old clothes! Well done.
SARAH - Lol re O liking older women ... cheeky monkey, glad he liked it though! Those links for what you bought Iris didn't work for me either.
JENNY - Wow B is growing fast but my paed said at the 6 wk check (we don't see him now til 6 mths) that they don't worry at this age what weight they gain as it all evens out & lose some once they start getting around/crawling so don't worry too much about it. Jenny, I have never given E nappy free time either ... I dread washing it all up & mopping floors! I suppose I could use changemat in the lounge but it's a bit cold at the mo specially since we have no heater.
YAY Dh bought 4 massive pieces of some sort of wood home the other day & just said he's gonna make E a dolls house for xmas! We will paint it, it's nearly as tall as me, like the one I wanted in Target yesterday (I decided not to buy it as she will really be a bit young but different if dh is making her one) and we will paint it & buy furniture. Can't wait!!
SHEZI - I went to Target yesterday arvo & it was dead, I'd missed the morning rush my SIL got stuck in. Unfortunately I only managed to laybuy a Mother's Choice high chair, 2 outfits (not on sale) for Ella (which I only did cos thought I'd get them next week as broke this week & turns out you can't pick anything up til after 2 August!) and didn't even get to do christmas shopping for Mason, Lily & Ryan cos Ella was being a right little sh!t screaming the place down. Ah well. Might have a look tomorrow if i have time but I am losing track of my laybuys lol. Last year at least I had all my chrissy presents bought by beginning of Oct & wrapped by November, this yr I plan on doing the same as it is much easier than doing christmas eve! Made such a difference & a stress-free (almost) day on christmas.
What can I get my 2 yr old neice? I don't know what to get her for christmas as she has so many dolls, a pram, a cradle I gave her for b'day ... I did see this set with pram, high chair, swing, heaps in it for like $30 or $40 and there's these dolls, boy & girl which come with a twin stroller ... It'd be nice to get her something different tho ...
FIRSTBUBONWAY - Welcome back! You'll have to post some pics of Will ... darn teeth hey! Bonjela works a treat!
GIN - Did you get asked to be a mod or did you request pink status?
Think that's everyone ... off to watch Neighbours, H&A/BB, FNL.
Have a good night everyone.

sorry to hear you have to have surgery.
i have two of the changemats that come with nappy bags so i put them down with a couple of spewies on top, it makes about a square metra, bit less so plenty of room to wee on without getting the mat! tho - being a boy - sometimes there are fountains and i have to scrub the mat
the dollhouse sounds great. if we have a girl next, i think i would have to buy one coz i think Al's woodwork skills might be shonky LOL
i think i will walk down to big w tomorrow arvo to get new HP. problem is i will stay up late reading it and then be grumpy on sunday...
my friend came over today with Isabel (6wks older than H), we walked down the shops for coffee then the kids played on the mat here. i read them both a story, will get Sarah to email the photos she took, they were loving it!!
oh disappointed this morning :( got my period back... was hoping to get a few more months out of the breastfeeding/no period thing. damn!

LL That's an awesome idea with the changemats! I use that with a spewie on top when I am out. I actually also bought 4 pack of those Huggies ones yesterday with waterproof backing so that may be a way to go, even just lay that on the grass if soft enough!
Can't wait to see your pics. I must start reading to E. I have a couple of books on laybuy for her but they were meant for christmas but I think she needs them now! Big W have golden books again so she's got Good Night Little Bear on lay buy. I also have that penguin one - Are you my Mummy or Where's my Mummy or something. It's cute as.

Annsam, I feel for you with the lack of no sleep. That's my worst nightmare. Even slightly les than normal I turn into a horrid beast.
Ca't you "do something" with the dog? Have you had a word to your neighbour?
LL, you're lucky Al helps you with the cleaning. What a good husband he is. You two look very well matched in your photos. he's got a very kind look.
FBOW, thanks for popping in, sow off some more pics! Will is looking very cute. As are all the march babies.
How is A feeling now Shezi?
Carrie, have fun at the bubhub meet.
With the MCN nappie, was it a pocket? You could use a folder terry towel, but you can get hemp or bamboo which are more absorbent.
RTCMum, I'm jealous your little girl is actually little. It feels like I've missed out on having a newborn and infant.
Carrie!! How bad is your carpel tunnel? I had it agonizingly during pg but it has passed, does it stop you sleeping at night? Did you try steroid injections and a splint? poor thing. it's horrid.
Speaking of new skills, toadlet got fed in the bath again tonight and he actually appeared to open his mouth when I put the spoon near him. he had 7 teaspoons and we give him solids once a day. That's not too big a feed is it? That's after 250 mls of milk.
LL, 19 weeks is a nice long time not to get your AF back. i got mine at week 13, but I'm not BF,
Sarah, Iris is TALL!! How tall are you?
Ok, did this nappy (http://www.bizztools.net/misc/crapcatchers.jpg)today for the rodent.

Ok ok cute kidlets moment~
O gave Iris her first horsey ride to her bedroom yesterday for one of her naps
it was so cute he said
"Mummy put idy on my back Im her horsey neighyyyy"
I almost wet myself with laughter as she tried to claw chunks of his hair out and he screamed like a lil girl! ahhhhh sisterly LOVE
OMGawd Hollie you look like Linda Hamilton from the terminator movies with those biceps hun, but I guess you need those to lift your beautiful bubba!
Monty looks gorgeous as always!!!
well done on another bum creation mwah!
Im not tall at around 5ft6 and neither is Mike his just shy of 6ft
BUT Mike's uncles on both sides of his family are all HUGE so we think she must get it from them
AND with all her hair I think she could be Australia's next big supermodel ahahahahahaha either that or make a career out of pantene commercials:laughing:
Michaela~ I bought these dvd's called Baby Bumbellbee from justforbubs.com.au and they were brillant BUt its more for older bubs who are learning to talk around the 12mth mark as unlike Baby einstein they label all the items etc
O loved them and picked up words within a day or two of watching them
Im going to get soem more for iris too
only thing is they are american so theres a slight accent, I never had a problem with that though as O talks with a lovely aussie twang!
Anyone heard from Caithi? I hope shes ok if your reading Caithi:kiss: to you!

Sarah - I checked my car seat & at 8kg they can be rear or forward facing. I am def switching her to forward as she wants to sit up all the time & it will be a lot easier for me having a 2 door car to get her in & out. It is getting harder as Ella is getting bigger. I love the Lady Bug jewellery set! It's a bit pricey though for my niece. It would be different if it was E ...
Hollie - The Bub Hub meet was good, although there was only 5 of us, that included one girl from my Mother's Group. We got 2 new recruits for Mother's Group though so that worked out well as we all got on really well. The girl from my MG is going to register on BH & I told her to come & join our group when she does.
The nappy had like a mesh inside where it looked like something should go between that and the outer material. It had a little bit of plastic around the legs to stop leaking I presume. I have heaps of towelling nappies for spewies which I could try out although I noticed Target had flanno nappies ... would these be more comfy for bubs? I just thinking about getting a couple for summer time when bubs live in their singlets & nappies as they had butterflies over them & looked quite pretty. The side tabs had velcro & you could basically make them any size around, though they come in 000, 00, 0, 1 etc. They are about $6.00. Prob no where near as good as what you girls have but I wouldn't be using them all the time.
Hollie, with the CTS it started when I was pregnant & I mentioned it to the ob & he said "you get that when you're pregnant" and that was it. The GP explained that's prob cos in the majority of cases it disappears following birth of your baby. In my case it got worse. Remember when I kept saying about the tingling in my hand when I do things like feeding, washing up, hanging washing, driving, pushing the pram, holding Ella, typing etc etc? Well it got worse as it was only in my hand to start with and now it is right up my right arm & down across my shoulder & occasionally my whole back. It's a weird sensation isn't it? My aunty had surgery on hers as well as it is common in secretaries for obvious reasons. I hope the keyhole surgery doesn't take too long to recover from though as it is my dominant hand. I was in hospy quite a lot for different day surgeries & tests for about the 6 months before I fell prg. I thought it was all over as everything seemed to improve when prg & I didn't even get sick, as in a cold etc! Too good to be true ...
Going to look at your pics now Hollie! Can't wait to see the new Toad Creation :)
Sarah, I agree, big hugs Caithi hope everything is ok. How cute is O? Lol.

Carrie~ LOL to your funny about buying the jewelry for Ella...me too:o
Yes O is cute!
most of the time
NOT however when his pooping in his undies and then says *while im cleaning poop* "You happy now mummy?" and I have to smile sweetly and say "yes im happy darling" coz that to him means "No your not in trouble for pooping and yes mummy still loves you" argh! when I really want to make this face:hair:
I bought one of those nappies too and just use it as a bum cover over desposies! they are cute!
I am going to try and leave bubs in her capsule till 6mths and yes shes doing the leaning forward trying to sit up thing too which is annoying (as it mustnt be very comfy for her) but it doesnt really matter as shes in a capsule so no where to go lol
ok so much for my quick reply

re~ car seat thingy I thought they could stay facing backwards till 9kgs???
im gonna be leaving A till she's either 1 or 12kgs(she has a newer seat that goes to 12kg). thats the plan so far.. purely coz height & weight wise D could still go rearward. plus 3rd time around theres no 'rush' for me to get her to do all these new things hehe.
A is much better thanx girls. she woke up fine so im hoping it was just a 12hour thing.. :fingerscrossed: anyway!
had my brothers birthday dinner last night.. just pizza, pavlova & cheesecake at mums. no big thing.. he leaves for london in 2weeks so i think we're going to embarrass him at the airport aka balloons, banners & all that :D me and my sis are all for it! between us we have 7kids so us alone will take up enough room to draw attention.

ooo i forgot. my jeans fit! they're ones that i dont think i even got back into after D.. this is the only bonus of being sick (thinking positive hehe). chris has lost 5kilos too. i havent weighed myself but he did this morning at his mums. he's gone down 2 hole sizes in his belt too. he'll gain it back tho. he needs to. my jeans are pretty tight and cut into my hips a little but last month i couldnt even do the damn things up.
 sarah he said it wont matter if we embarrass him coz hes leaving.. he didnt think of the 20hour flight he has to be on with the plane full of people that will witness our party popping, banner shaking
we're good like that :D im gonna miss him heaps tho. longest i've gone without seeing him was a couple of weeks when he went to vegas. other than that i see him every day or 2. its gonna be weird..
M has a maxi rider.. given up with the H harness tho.. so damn frustrating... much easier with the seatbelt & antisub clip which holds the seatbelt low on their hips.. she prefers it too. just wish i hadnt spent $60 on the new protecta H harness. thinking of selling on ebay.
my plan is to keep M in the maxi till D needs it.. M will be atleast 6 due to D's tininess.. M has only just outgrown D's seat. so once she's out of that im going to buy a hipod or whatever theyre called.. the ones that are bolted in with an antisub clip. no point buying another maxi i dont reckon.. then again i could use it for A:detective: hmm (sorry thinking out loud lol) oh well will see how i go in a couple of years. no doubt there will be an even better seat by then anyway!
sarah orlando is a cutie isnt he. can just imagine him giving iris a horsey ride lol.
do yous think this is wrong.. my sis wants to sell her twin boys trikes.. they're in perfect condition. come with the parent handle thingy and a sun canopy.. both removable.. really cute little things.. no scratches or anything.. anyway thinking of buying them. keeping one for D(even tho she cant reach the pedals lol) and giving one to our nephew(chris's side) for his 2nd birthday. is it wrong to give second hand prezzies?? i feel bad about it. but chris is like no he'll love it. which he would but i'd rather just give it to him & buy him something new for his birthday.. what do yous think?? i told him to ask him mum what she thought but he wouldnt lol. he wouldnt put her on the phone so i could ask either! might ring her later hehe.
love the nappy LT. toadlet looks so long in that pic. i must remember to get A weighed & measured this week.
carrie i definitely see your reasons for switching ella around. 2 door cars are so difficult with rearward facing bubs.
lana. M just came up and out of the blue asked where Amity lives and 'can i go see her again' haha. no idea where she pulled that from.
where is caithi? i hope everythings ok with her..
re af mine is still not back. happy to get a break this time. clearly my body knows i have enough on my plate than to be ovulating too lmao. no more bubs for me for a while. chris is back to his 'no more babies ever'. pfft sorry mate. i'll give him a year or two. i think another would be too much right now. cant imagine having morning sickness with my lot.
actually he surprised me the other day.. said im kinda glad we dont have a boy coz i'd favour him. i dont think he would but its interesting to hear him say that.

nemosmum/Shezi we have the maxi rider for DS and I love it!! Its a great seat and once Jacey need something bigger we will buy one for her too.
Carrie I will turn Jacey around as soon as I can cause she just HATES the car so I'm praying that once we turn her around she will be fine (especially with our big trip in 7 weeks time). I'm weighing her this Monday and I will wait until 8kg but def before our trip. I hate the thought of driving into town cause I know on the way home its going to be **** with her crying. So I'm very keen to turn her around.
AF- I got mine back two days ago. This time its the REAL thing. I had what I thought was AF 2 months ago but it wasnt. I have never been this heavy even after having DS. Dont like it at all :(
Jacey is only having 2 breast feeds a day now and even those a pretty much forced with her fighting it. Not long until fully formula :crying:
OK DS just woke up - have a great weekend girls

I think im going to do the whole extended bfing thing, something I used to shudder at lol

I will probably stop before she turns 18mths hmmm def. before shes two :o :D
we have a maxi for O and love it!

Forg and Toad update
Just thought I'd let you all know the latest on the frog and toad situation.
Frog has been getting councilling and making a promising effort about addressing his stuff up, plus he was here all the time except for sleeps.
I had a big think about things and decided I'd let him come home seeing as our relationship was very good and I didnt have a single thing to complain about. Also Monty Toad just absolutely adores him (cant see why).
I've told him that if Monty wasn't here my decision would have been different and it will take me a bit of time to get my thoughts back to normal cause of what he did, but I'm sure things will be ok.
Oh, and Shezi.. he's not gay!! (huge giggle) He makes me bring the toadlet down the the gym as a poof deterant. I was thinking about embaressing him and saying he's a cross dresser and was p'ed off he had ripped all my bras. Plus he'd look really awful in my mini skirts.
nemosmum
21-07-2007, 01:11 PM
Im glad to hear you are happy hollie:hugs:
btw doesnt Frog know that gay people can have children too:yes: :D and that he should be very flattered:D
Little_Toad
21-07-2007, 01:24 PM
Sarah, I think it's gone beyond flattering, he's not homophobic, he just hates that a lot of guys down the gym are very "mincey" and sleezy. They do everything to try get his attention (and other guys of course).
its revolting people being slimey whether they are straight or gay.
City Gym can be very slimey.
Even when i walk around with him holding his hand they just gawk at him.
He's got a really nice gay hairdresser who isn't sleezy, doesn't talk about sex and picking up all the time and not everything is about his sexuality.
Actually, thats the same with my hairdresser too.

Just a quickie cos im having a sh!tty day.
Hollie - Glad to hear that things are really on the mend for you and Frog. I agree that slimey people are gross! Was Frog's stuff up a serious stuff-up or more of a funny/embarrassing stuff-up?
Sheree - I think that if you are buying the bikes (like you would a new present) then you shouldnt be feeling bad! It is meant to be the thought that counts anyway! If they are in really good nic then they wont be able to tell anyway.
Sarah - Hehehe O giving Iris a horsey ride! So cute! I love hearing about the cute things he says and does. Always puts a smile on my face.
Carrie - I dont blame you for wanting to turn her car seat around. 2 door cars are terrible with rearward facing car seats. I turned Amity's carseat around a bit early too because she hated not being able to see us.
Meant to be going out tonight BUT just found out that Sam hadnt told me the WHOLE story of what is happening. As far as i knew we were meeting at his best mates house for a few drinks then heading out and possibly going to another mates going away party (the main reason i found a sitter) but i have just found out that we are actually going to his best mates house to drink and play POKER!! Oh, and i will more than likely be the only chick there too.

Hi Girls,
Going to try to get through as much as I can before DS comes home with DH. Leah is grizzling but we'll give it a go......
Lt, Fantastic news regarding you and Frog. Hope you will be able to get past his 'whoopsy' and play happy families again.
Re the dog, you bet I went and talked to them about it........ again. Great outcome though - the girl who owns the dog is leaving in 2 weeks with the dog :yelclap: . Happy girl am I now. And I think they kept it inside last night as I didn't hear it past 8.30pm.
Shezi, buy the bikes. Why now? Gifts dont have to be brand new especially if in good condition and it saves you SIL the hassel of advertising them.
Ok........ didn't get far. DS is home, just heard car door. Need to close down PC otherwise he wants to look at race cars for hours and thats really not my cup of tea. Will be back later to continue.

Sheree i know how you feel, my brother lived in london for over 3 years, i missed him heaps! he came home once and we went there once so the longest was about 15mo which was so long! i was over the moon to see him after that. he met us in amsterdam for new years, it was snowing and freezing and so exciting seeing him again... ahhh, memories...
Hollie i love your new avatar, he looks like a real heart-breaker with the cheeky half-smile. great news about you and frog!

yeah will give one to our nephew. he will love it to bits. poor D tho. little chicken cant reach the pedals lol. she's cluey tho she rides around by moving the front wheel with her feet haha.
lana i'd be peeved. thats not exactly a night out for you.. is there somewhere else you can go and leave sam with the boys?
getting my head around moving.. not sure to move october or january.. any ideas? im think january coz of birthdays christmas & all that.. but i want to be out prior to him putting it on th market coz i dont want strangers in and out my house every day.
where to move is another story altogether. we dont agree at all. but the house will be in my name so im thinking of digging my heels in on this one.

That's very advanced for Loga.
Just doing a bit of a brag here, very proud of my Monty Toad.
We started him on solids about 10 days ago and he's now opening his mouth ready for the next mouthful... not that toadlet and food success was every going to be a big surprise.
Also... I remembered this the other day when thinking how toadlet doesnt roll, when he was 2 weeks old I would give him tummy time and he rolled onto his back about 5 times.. now he doesn't.
Oh, I just worked out how to avoide drinking Frogs milk accidentally, or picking his coffee up instead of mine. I've been paranoid ever since my accident last week.
Food colouring!! I'll just put a couple of drops in each time I open my carton. I'm going for blue this time.

Taryn~ I know what you mean O was commando crawling by 6mths
Iris does get up on her elbows and kicks her legs like she wants to crawl but I think she'll be pushing it it reach that milestone around the same time as her brother
Shes also doing the harbour bridge thing when I change her nappies
she puts her feet on the ground/change mat and bends her kness and lifts her bum off the ground its very cute!
she looks like shes doing yoga!
Lana~ great news about Griffin and his cereal helping him sleep longer!
I had pizza too last night...the pepporoni wasnt such a gd idea ites repeating on me argh!
Lana, Iron Chef is on in 15 mins
big sat night here too...
 yeah i know I actually watched along came a spider for about half an hour before heading to bed
I had a nasty dream last night woke up in a cold sweat!
I was at dubbo zoo with the kids and the lions got loose
I picked up Iris and O (yup Im strong in my dreams hahahaha) and ran as fast as I could I managed to get into a little watch tower thing
it was very small maybe enough room for four people at a squeeze so I locked the door and the one window
all these people kept coming up to the window and begging me to open the door
at first I said Im sorry I cant
then I started crying coz there were kids out there and the lions were coming
so I opened the door and the people chucked me and the kids out:eek:
then the lions where surrounding us
I grabbed O and pushed him up a tree and told him to hold Iris
I was so scared I knew that they were going to eat me but all I kept thinking of was the kids and how it was going to be a very painful death for them:crying:
then the male lion was right near me and then
I woke up
It was horrible!!!
 what do you think it means???
tazzystone
22-07-2007, 07:29 AM
WOW what a dream Nemosmum!!! That would be terrible. Maybe its about you being on your own and protecting the kids no matter what!! Sorry I have no idea about dreams though.
Yes its funny how older sibblings were more advanced!! I didnt realise Logan was so far ahead of Jacey until I watched the videos of him at the same age as she is now. What a difference. I must admit I spent a lot of one on one time with Logan, playing with him and teaching him to roll and stuff. Poor Jacey doesnt get hardly anything:o Since watching the videos I realised I do need to spend more time with her on the floor playing etc. I just leave her to her own these days. Although Logan does entertain her, I should be doing more. Even how Lgan was laughing at us etc. He was climbing all over me at her age. But to me Jacey still looks like a baby!! if that makes sense, maybe cause I want to keep her a bub for as long as possible.
Reading TJ's birth story last night and some others and it made me clucky again!!! WTF Seeing those newborn pics!! And I'm not allowed to be..... But nightime reminded me again and reinforced our decision to have only the two!! Logan woke at 1.30am and jacey 3am and then Logan 6am and then he slept in bed with me until 7.30am. I woke up feeling like I had been hit by a bus... just very tired.
Lana hope your night was nice with your bottle of wine.
LT great idea about food colouring!! And I love your avatar pic too - just gorgeous. When you think about it, Monty is not a small bub and it would be hard for him to roll over so he probably just thinks - stuff it!!
All of the bigger bubs I have known in mothers groups/friends have all rolled a little later so I wouldnt worry about it at all. AND Jacey has only rolled a few times. Lately its in her cot when she is trying to go to sleep!!
OK well I have raved on enough about nothing really. sorry

22-07-2007, 01:12 PM
Hey girls,
LT, you are a clever thing to think of the food colouring and well done with the food and toadlet! Not planning to start Leah on food till nearly 6 months as shes already showing signs of sensitivity.
Lana, good on you for staying put last night. Wish I had a pizza / wine night by myself. How blissful would that be.
Shezi, I didn't get that you were moving (probably need to read posts properly). Good luck with the house hunting. Are you buying or renting?
Taryn, Im not usually a clucky person but my friend just had her baby and suddenly my little girl looks so grown up. Im clucky too. Thank god no AF yet. :D
Sarah, no idea about the dream but what a freaky one.
Well I wasn't overly impressed with DH this morning. Leah came into bed with us and she didn't settle so I tried to get DH to get out of bed and get her up but do you think he would - no. Hes had sleep ins in the past 4 months and he doesn't get up in the night (he was up too bloody late reading Harry Potter) and I haven't had one yet so not a happy girl was I. As punishment I left him with both kids this mornign while I went and got my hair cut and had a massage. That'll learn him:yes: .
Leahs excema / dermatitis has spread all over her body now. Any ideas? I have brought some Am-o-lin as its not on her face or hands which makes me think I need to wash her clothes in something for sensitive skin. What else can I do to help it?

Anna, that massage and haircut sounds lovely. i am hanging for a sleep-in. got so used to Al being home, getting up with H.
he is waking to feed heaps in the night and today he woke up at 6.45 instead of his usual 8.30  i don't know if its a growth spurt or what? i usually express in the morning so i have milk in the freezer when i go out without him but now he's feeding at 2am and 4am and 6.45, i got nothing to express!! little piggy... my stepmum is looking after him tomorrow from 9-10.30 while i go to training so i hope he's not hungry, will try to make him take a feed before i go. its only 7mins from home anyway, if he really cracks it, i spose...
Taryn and Sarah well Harps is my first bub and he isnt rolling yet! we do lots of floor time. i don't really mind tho, i must say, i like to know he'll stay where i leave him LOL.
Sarah i have lots of crazy vivid dreams. in my dreams book it says: "to dream of a lion, signifies that a great force is driving you" it also says: "to dream you are defending your children from a lion, fortells enemies will threaten to overpower you, and will well nigh succeed if you allow any artfulness to persuade you from a moment from duty and business obligations"
i don't really put much stock in it tho! i think dreams are just a mish-mash of thoughts an images we've experienced and they're lke a little movie in our sleep.
gotta go, sounds like a wet butt...

Hello lovely ladies! Well i ended up going to DP's best mates house for a little bit just to say hello but then i came home and had my wine, did some knitting and watched the last of Pretty Woman lol. (ultimate girls night at home!)
Sam rang me at 4.15am asking me to pick him up! I told him to catch a bl00dy taxi! He got home at 5.15am and was banging on the front door... Needless to say he was blind.
Anna - re Leah's eczema, i find we have to use certain detergents for Sam's skin too. We have a front loader and use Dynamo Matic and he doesnt get a reaction to that. Kick up the bum for you DH for not helping out and giving you a sleep in!
LL - I missed Iron Chef again!! It sounds as though Harper is really hungry too... have you thought about trying him on solids?? Maybe even just mashed banana or avocado at 6 ish before bed....
Taryn - Griff is doing more than Amity rolling wise, but Amity was almost sitting up now. Funny how much siblings can differ.
Sarah - What a full on dream! I have really weird dreams too lol. Maybe its just you worrying bout everything at the moment...

Horray for Monty toad, he now knows his name
he turns his head to Monty and to Toadlet. Frog said , see if he responds to "Sh!t Head", so I said "Sh!t Head" and he turend to look directly at his daddy.

Rain? Rain? Who had rain???? I'm sooo jealous.
Hollie - what a clever Monty! You really gotta stop calling Frog names in front of him though .
Taryn - good luck and I hope you can keep onto your last couple of BFs. I have good days and bad days with Matt. Somedays he takes the boob really well and I only need to resort to formula late in the afternoon (or when I am out and it is easier - I'm getting lazy, or when I want to have a couple of wines at dinner :o), but other days each feed is a battle of the boob and I end up giving mostly formula.
Crawling & Rolling - Matt tried really hard to "crawl" across my lap to DH the other day. We were both amazed. Ryan didn't crawl until about 9 months and he didn't roll until about 6 months. I remember coming back to Brisbane from Chinchilla on my own with Ryan and popped him about 1.5m away from the Chrissy tree to give him something to look at while I unpacked the car. I came back in to find him UNDER the tree munching on the decorations . Don't know whether I was happy or scared! Matt can roll from tummy to back but not the other way yet.
Carrie - hope your surgery goes well. When is it happening?
Ooh I've been having weird dreams too! Some bad and scary ones where I wake up in a cold sweat and too scared to go back to sleep coz I usually end up in the same dream just slightly different. Other ones are just weird or strange and can range from reflecting real life goings on to being totally fictional.
Don't you think it is weird how much dreaming can be squeezed into just a short sleep? I am still up to Matt several times a night (only feeding once if I absolutely have to) and can sometimes have a huge dream in what can only be a few minutes.
Anna - hope you are getting better sleeps.... how is the dummy thing going?
Clucky - NO definately not! Maybe if I was getting more sleep!!!!!
Anyone keep finding ticklish spots on their bub? Matthew has always been ticklish on the jaw bone and also tops of this inner thighs near the groin. But I found a new one today - tickled his bottom ribs and got the cutest giggles. Just soooo in love with him...
Okay - enough mushy stuff, and sorry girls for mammoth post! WIll go now...
