R&MMum, Matthew must be a strong little thing. Still absolutely no hint of crawling here, just face planting during Tummy Time,

Frog had Monty Toad when I went climbing tonight, he said he was in the JJ and was bouncing around and he's never seen him so smiley and giggly before.

I did do climbing tonight, but it was closed due to a power black out so our foursome went to see "Knocked Up"

Absolutely fantastic movie, even better I think having been through the whole experince. I'm feeling very clucky but Frog wont let me have another one.

I told Frog he has to start romancng the toad before we get back into special cuddles. I came home and there were 4 diry free chocolate bars in a line to the bedroom and a card (with a toad on it) and some funny "romantic" frog stuff. Very sweet.

Frog's been taing lots of black and wite photos, we've decided our funny looking toadlet looks better in black and white cause of his red blotchy face in coloured pics. He's cute but not overly photogenic.

Night night girls, hope you all had a great weekend.

my ear is so sore! i get eczema in there.. tmi i know but its all dry flaky skin and they've been bleeding. cortisone cream isnt working either.. one is much worse than the other coz i also have an ear ache and glands are up on that side.

lmao LT, frog lined the bars up to the bedroom. thats classic! he seems so sweet. im still willing to trade ;)
is frogs decision final on another bub or is it just one 'for now'.

i would love to go see 'knocked up' im yet to hear a bad word about it!

Hollie - just noticed your new avatar, its Gorgeous. How do you set one up like that?

And whats with "abolish the hug emoticon"? What have you (or Monty) got against hugs?

Sounds like someone needs some lovin.....

This is for you girl... :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

{insert cheeky grin here}

R&MMum,

If you email me three pics I'll do an avatar for you.
hollie at bizztools dot net.

Re the hug emoticon, sorry but I can't stand it. I don't think I've ever used it. I hate it when people post a thread asking for advice about something and people reply saying "sorry I have no advice for you but Big Hugs anyway!" (insert ghastly hug icon here).

Shezi, I'm pretty sure that the Frogs decision is final. He loves the toadlet but wants a good quality life , plus we are old farts.. atleast he is.

thanks for the replies re: the dream

Anyone keep finding ticklish spots on their bub? Matthew has always been ticklish on the jaw bone and also tops of this inner thighs near the groin. But I found a new one today - tickled his bottom ribs and got the cutest giggles. Just soooo in love with him...

Okay - enough mushy stuff, and sorry girls for mammoth post! WIll go now...

glad Im not the only one having weird far out dreams

Iris is very ticklish but only under her right arm and on her ribs on the right side

she also LURVES horsey rides on my knee and of course the kissing game with mike and O....

they smother her with kissess and she laughs and laughs then after a while she starts to frown as if saying "ok thats enough now p!ss off...mummy save me!!!" hahahahaha

when ever O tries to kiss her cheek she always turns her head towards him with an open mouth and tries to pash him LOL he hates it and squeals and wipes away the saliva train hahahaha

Sheree sorry to hear about your ear...hope it gets better soon
I would insert a hug but the hug police are watching hahahahaha

Love love love the knitted oobi baby gear I so want the stripey boots for Iris next winter!!!
am going to wait till the end of winter sales you can usually get them for a bargain price

I bought Iris this oobi baby dress
http://www.babysgotstyle.com.au/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/1224

it will do her as a christmas outfit (we have heaps of chrissy parties and she will look so sweet in this number!)
and we are getting some portraits done of the kidlets in about 2 mths when Iris can sit by herself so she'll wear it then also

BUT note I got it from a different site on sale for $27 the site is onlylittle.com.au

O went to bed last night at 5.40pm barely got to eat dinner before he asked to go to sleep....poor lil mite god knows what hour he goes to bed at Mikes on sat. nights
he woke this morning at 6.40am so his had a great sleep!

Sarah - What a great sleep O had for you! Amity was the same yesterday. Because she stayed at my dads on Saturday night and woke at 5.30am (which she never does) on sunday morning she went for a daytime sleep when we got home... Well, she ended up sleeping from 2pm YESTERDAY to 8am this morning!!!!

Love the little red dress you bought for Iris... V. cute!

Hollie - That nappy is great. I love cows! Moooooo!!

Sheree - I hope your ear is feeling better hun. It sucks when you get sick hey because its a vicious cycle! Your immune system is all weak so you just keep getting ill, no time for recovery. :fingerscrossed: you feel 100% again soon.

I miss GIN too!! I miss reading her posts...

My little head cold is starting to turn into a chest infection i think. I am so prone to them that its not really surprising. I always try and let them just run their course rather than having to take anti biotics but they always seems to get worse. Maybe i should just go to the docs before this one gets too bad...

HOLLIE - love the nappy! maybe by the time Harper is toilet trained, i will be that good LOL. you should see the practice one i made from scrap material - so shonky i didnt bother trying to fix it, will start another one tonight or tomorrow... not going to use my nice PUL til i know i won't stuff it up.

SARAH - oh i want a girl now, love that dress.

LANA - that is a massive sleep for Amity. very nice.

well my training class was cancelled this morning, my stepmum was already on her way over to babysit so i left H with her and went to the shops alone - so much easier. i am so disappointed... Harry Potter sold out :crying: i should've expected it really. at least i won't be distracted from housework now but i hate to have to wait!!!

solids - well, i still feel quite strongly about waiting another month so i am going to try my best. once Al is home on wed, i will be able to have sleep-ins to make up for the getting up in the night. i did buy some farex tho, just to have there in case i change my mind. he's just so little, i only want him to have milk for now. also we are going to rotto aug 10-12 and i don't want to have to take anything for him, just the portable milk machine

Hey Girls,

LT, great nappy!! Very cute indeed. What a nice frog too!

Sarah, great dress.

Lana, thanks for the tip re the washing liquid. I'll give that a go if the stuff I brought doesn't work.

Solids - yeah Im trying to wait till closer to 6 months too (not sure if I said that yesterday. Have a feeling I did).

Does anyone find that if they take bub out in the morning they spend the rest of hte day paying for it? Leah is fighting sleep as much as she can right now.

Have been without the dummy for over a week now.

Leah woke every 1 or 2 hrs last night for food. Hasn't done that since newborn so maybe shes having a growth spurt too. HOpe it doesn't last. Re the next doors dog, Im now dreaming its barking:banghead:  .

Anyway, nothing to report.

Have a good afternoon all.

Michaela - What a bummer bout your sewing class being cancelled. At least you are still able to practice at home. Im looking forward to seeing some of your creations!

Griffin has decided that he doesnt like the Farex rice Cereal any more, not that i blame him. Funny thing is though that Amity did the same thing after a week of giving it to him... Going to head to the shops later and grab some bananas and avocado as they are much nicer!

Anna - You poor thing! Even when the dog isnt barking you are so worried that it will that you are dreaming it! This dog is having a serious effect on your sleep!! At least there is only 2 weeks until it is gone!

Hopefully Leah is just going through a growth spurt and will settle for you again soon!

Griffin is in bed. Amity is in bed. Im going to do some more knitting :D

Emma - Cooper is a total spunk! love the big smile. very gorgeous.

Anna - i am really hoping Harper's waking is a growth spurt too. how long should it last? its been going on for about a week i think... i'm over it! roll on Thurs when i get to sleep in. midday sounds good :D

he had a mega nap this morning 10.30-12.30. i really should've laid down too. oh well. will have a nap next time he goes down (usually he does about 45 min naps, better than nothing tho!)

oh update on his "modelling career" lol. the photo shoot is on friday. my friend is dropping off a travel grobag tomorrow for me to put him in, they want a pic of a sleeping baby in the grobag in a carseat. its the "bubbles" one on the bambinipronto website. i have ordered the 6mo+ one for spring/summer. very cute.

Hi everyone

OMG this girl has given up sleeping at night all together ... so sick of her constantly waking. I feel like a zombie. Of course on Sat night when dh was getting up to her she'd go back to sleep once she got dummy & didn't call him in like 10 times in 5 mins for the damn thing & slept more than 15-30 mins between wake-up's! Grr ... I think it is the teeth plus a growth spurt all at once.

Started E on solids yesterday. She had baby cereal in the morning which she didn't really like that much & we tried her on jarred baby vegies (I will make my own but wanted to see how she went first) and she loved them, getting excited at each spoonful & wanting to feed herself lol. So much for solids making her sleep though ... although she has slept heaps during today she just needs to at night!!

Saw HP on Sat afternoon after arriving early to have a look in the shops, get some lunch & get my eyebrows waxed. Had a great Ell-free afternoon but couldn't stop thinking about her! Dh had her asleep when I got home however she hadn't had a bath or been changed out of her clothes ... He said he can't see why I have been complaining about her being so full-on lately as she was fine for him & didn't cry once!

LL - I bought the HP book but only read 1.5 chapters on Sat night as we had our nephew's 2nd b'day yesterday & stuff to do like groceries then today I have been up cleaning since about 9am & I only just managed to have somehting to eat now! (Sound familiar - noticed you hadn't eaten til 3pm either the other day).

HOLLIE - That's so good that you & dp are back together! Hope things can only get better from hereon in.

TARYN - Can't imagine Ella doing what Logan was at that age! She doesn't really even roll yet lazy girl! Hehe. Maybe it's cos I don't get on the (hard) floor with her I jusrt leave her be.

SHEZI - The bikes will be fine especially if in like new condition. Congrats on the jeans!! Yay! Poor thing sick again! Hugs. Knocked up is great, we have on dvd ... don't tell ...

SARAH - Lol Ella does the "harbour bridge" move too & moves to the side, out of her nappy. I think he has discovered she has feet now. She holds them when I do whem changing her. She is also resting her hand on her knee all the time, so cute hey. Ella is tickly under the chin but screams not really a chuckle tho.

ANNA - Good on you for getting out & having your hair done & a massage! They just never learn do they?! And when you do leave them they have no idea what you complain about during the full on days as they don't do anything but play & feed bubs. Sorry I can't help with Leah's excema situation ... I use Amolin all the time to wash E's clothes. Smells good if anything!

LANA - I'd be so cut at Sam for ringing you to pick him up so early in the morning when you would have to wake the kidlets up & put them in the car etc etc ... and it's so friggin cold at that time of morning lately! ... oh just saw you didn't have them ... still not fair tho!

No time to read rest of posts - bottle time again & plumber here.

CALL OUT - Where are you Caithi, Frangi, Nic, Scoobs ... Prob reading & not posting cos we're chatting too fast of late lol.

Hope to see you around soon anyway :)

Grr lol. I keep reading all the posts and then leaving the computer before i reply so by the time i finally get back i have to re-read it all!

Sarah - Does O blame himself for you and Mike splitting up?? Is that why he was saying Sorry that daddy wasnt there?

Carrie - I hope you get some sleep tonight hun!

Michaela - I think you're allowed to have a pity party about having to get up 3x in a night!

Sheree - I sent you a PM about where to find some white frilly bloomers.

My poor little Griff is feeling a bit under the weather i think. I rang Health direct today because his normally rather dipped fontanelle is today a little bit bulged. They said to keep an eye on him but to get him checked by a doc within 24 hours. Why is is exactly that a bulging fontanelle is so bad?? What does it indicate? He is still weeing heaps but he is vomiting a lot after his bottles.

Hope someone can answer that for me.

Thanks Gaby. I will google it now and see what i get too.

ETA: From what i have briefly read, a bulging fontanel can be a sign of a viral illness and even pneumococcal meningitis BUT it also says that a "true" bulging fontanel is when it is present even when the child/baby is calm and their head is up right.... When Griff's is sitting up it is still slightly bulged but not as bad. I have an appt for him in the morning (at 10.30) so i will see what they say. Plus he doesnt have a fever or anything that is accompanying it, his temp is 37.2 which isnt too bad and he is otherwise happy.

Lana~ I hope Griffin is ok:hugs: its such a worry isnt it:no:

i love the polka dots shoes, Sarah...our visa is very lucky that we have a boy.
:D

Sheree~ frilly bloomers, I got beautiful ones from DJ's for $10 bargain white with lacey frill and pink ribbons on it I think it was the red robbin brand

Lana~ I dont think O blames himself, he says "soddy" when he cant do something like if he cant find his shoes or cant do what i want him too LOL he will say "No soddy I cant know"

BUT I do think his feeling the seperation more now
as he keeps asking to go visit daddy at poppy's house
He says "I want MY daddy" in a really sad sad voice breaks my heart!

BUT Mike tells me he asks for me too when his over there which is probably very normal
Im going to get some books about ti from the library and see if that helps

I gave Mike a way of getting back together, like a list of stuff he needs to do before that can happen just to give it one more shot and he got very defensive so i told him point blank that he was making it very easy for me to move on with that kind of attitude!
Oh well i cant do much else!

gotta go Iris is stirring!

Lana I'm so the same, keep reading (you know what you're talking about Sarah! :o) but by the time I'm ready to reply I've forgotten the lot! I hope Griffin is OK, fontanelles are scary beasties!

Carrie, I hear you on the waking, it's our new 'thing' too... grrrr
I hope it is short lived for you and that tonight she sleeps well.
As for the PINK status, they asked me.

Anna, great to hear the dog is going, you must be going nuts hearing it! I get so mad when my own dog barks (walking home yesterday I could hear him from over the highway, I was sooo embarrassed!) but when others do it's even worse.

Sarah-I think you're so brave putting yourself out there with Mike to give him another chance. I hope he wakes up to himself, it sounds really heartbreaking to hear what O has said.

LT-gorgeous nappy! (I was hoping you had ME in the swap :() Oh well, I'm sure I have a lovely Hubber sewing away for me!
Monty looks so cute in your avi, he's like me with the black and white pics... (pale and blotchy)

Kes woke up several times overnight screaming and so sad, no idea what's wrong. I thought he was teething (white lumps on gums, other gum areas bulging and pale) but his health nurse yesterday said he's not! SHe said that unless the gum is all swollen and red that it's not teething, and that babies often have white lumps on their gums that aren't teeth
So yeah, I'm a bit confused as to why he's crying more lately, and seeming so much happier after Bonjela and paracetamol.

I am getting better at getting the moderator stuff done as well as reading here, but will be even better once I've finished knitting for the swap, it's taking ages!

XGin

If you think his teething and the bonjela and panadol helps then I would keep doing that
some health nurses ive met swear blind that teething doesnt cause any pain whatsoever BLAH i bet they never experienced wisdom tooth pain as that imo would be the same for poor lil ones teething!

Gin, though he may not be teething in the sense of they are about to break through the skin, they certainly move around under the gum. My wisdom teeth do it periodically and it hurts.

Sarah, good luck with Mike what ever eventuates. Hope it works out one way or the other. I just dont get people who want their cake adn to eat it too. Its hard on the kidlets but they are very resilient.

Oh crud. Forgotten what else...........

Lana, hope at Griffin has nothing to worry about. Have you been to the Dr or are you ok with it now? I googled it too and got pretty much waht you did. Sometimes they just have their off days dont they.

Carrie, hope E sorts her sleep out a bit better for you. Must admit, de-dummying was the best step ever! But in saying that, I have found it easier this time becuase if shes really upset I can give her a boob easily to calm her whereas Sam was FF so it was tougher.

Got decent sleep out of madam last night. I was buggered so went ot bed at 9.30 after falling asleep in the bath (only got through 1 page of the new HP book  ). She woke at 12.30 and 4 then chatted for half an hour or so then I didn't hear from her again till 8.30!!! This is unheard of. But after going for a walk this morning and missing nap time slightly, Im now paying for it with a baby who hasn't slept properly in 4 hrs. *sigh*. Anyone else got a fussy baby with sleep times?

Ok, nothing else from me. House work awaits.

I got her to look at his sensitive skin near where the front of his nappy sits against his tum and pubic bone and she gave me this great aloe vera gel stuff. She said if it works to come back and she will tell me where to get it from. Got her to look at his strawberry birthmark too (its growing!) so we are going to keep an eye on that as well.

Anna - What a great sleep Leah had!! Yeah Griff is a bit fussy with his sleeps. He has to have a nap at the same times each day.

Jaimie - heres hoping Roxy sleeps better for you tonight!

Gin - I agree with Sarah, YOU know best! You're his mum. I have almost finished the teddy... i just have to do the ears and sew it all together now! (taking forever...)

Sarah, well done on putting the list to your DH. Maybe to make him feel better and less defensive (just because he's a guy), ask him if there is anything he'd like done to improve the relationship. Did you tell him that you really want things to work cause you do love him? (some guys dont actually realise that unless you actually spell it out.

Jusyt had a deadline for some work and finished it with 2 seconds to spare :)
I'm **** at deadlines I freeze up and my brain goes foggy.

Great news about the fontanelle Lana. I don't think I've ever noticed Monty's. It isn't there!

Well done Leah! I don't know how you do it Anna. I'd be a mess if I ddin't get sleep.

Bluegin. Hoopdeedoo isn't my MCN swappee... so you never know! her and I are making each other a nappy, seperate from the swap. I love Kes' poto, he really is scrumptious.
I've still got to finish one of my nappies for the swap. Plus hoopdeedoo's nappy and 10 test nappies. I think I might actually start up a business selling them. Not sewing them myself though, cause that would take way too long.

Toadlet woke up in the night too, then an hour later, little fatty squeezed in 6 feeds plus solids yesterday.

I took him to see Daddy at work and Frog's new boss thought he was huge. We were in the elevator and toadlet just burst out laughing and wouldn't stop giggling. I think he finds his daddy hilarious.

Hi Jaime and CarrieB LL and Emma.

I'm feeling a little sad cause I really want another toadlet and I know Frog doesn't. I look at Monty and just love him to pieces. Love it when he's feeding , stops chugging down and gurgles looking at me with his giant cheeky smile. I know it will be hard work and I had a orrible pregnancy, but other people manage :(

For those feeding their monsters, how much are you givjng them and how often?
Toadlet had 8 teaspoons last night and he opens him mouth in the cutest way. Clever little rodent.

ETA: Frog took some really lovely black and white ics with his new camera.
This is my favourite of toadlet (http://www.flickr.com/photos/7918637@N06/882383696/)

I think that turning your nappies into a business is a great idea!

I just bought Amity the cutest thing to keep her occupied when we are out, especially seeing as though she loves drawing so much! http://www.cheekybubs.com/product_info.php?cPath=177&products_id=1348

the pic of toadlet is gorgeous!

finally got around to booking for photos in for the girls. i booked it at the same time as M's tonsils appt tho. oops. will change her appt i think.

A is getting so much better at lunchtime naps. she'll sleep for like an hour now in the cot alone! yay! so i get a little 'child free' time. M is starting to cut out day naps again.. she's done well tho she is nearly 4! she's happy to watch a video anyway so i can still get things done.

placed the PP order.. M wanted to buy her own clothes. she's so cute. i bought her new pjs today. theyre shrek so she'll be stoked. they had simpson ones but in sizes 7 and up.

Ooh LT, I hope it's you! Great idea with the nappies, I have always thought that if I ever went in to selling anything like kids clothes or whatever, that I'd hire professionals for the sewing or I'd never have enough time! Gorgeous pensive Monty :hugs: (I like the emoticon there, as little babies are so fun to hug! LOL)
Congrats on getting back with the Frog! Now, seens as you didn't go on the Tasmanian trip... don't you get another tadpole..? Hope so, you guys sound like great parents, and Monty seems such a sweet tempered boy.

Lana-fantastic to hear Griff is OK! Phew! Are you going to have to get anything done with the birthmark, or is it fine to just leave it?

Shezi-A sounds like she is doing a fantastic job of sleeping! I couldn't get my munchkin to even nap today, so took him on a mammoth walk in the sling (tired out the dog too, bonus!)

Thanks all regarding toothypegs, nothing like the March Mums to give a girl confidence ;)

Anna-are you getting wisdom teeth now? (I never got any) I think it helps when you can relate to the pain, I was still teething in Prep, and remember the molar pain very well, actually a mixed blessing, because although it helps me deal with him when he is particularly grumpy, it also breaks my heart thinking how much pain there is for one such teeny tiny boy :(

Off to the supermarket now, DH is swinging by to pick me up. I'm actually looking forward to it, LOL, as I've been relying on the local little shops lately and get sick of being ripped off!

Oh and by the way, our Mother's Group had a speaker in from PANDA (I think it's Post and AntiNatal Depression Association) which was really good. We also have a First Aid course coming up, i am very impressed with my council, they ensure there are lots of things like that available (helps that we live in povo country, hehe)

Hey just checking in to say hi ...

Ella's still not sleeping ... I was up throwing up & had a tummy ache & upset tum last night as well as no sleeep but after 4.30 bottle she let me sleep til 7am & i felt better. Lucky cos i was having MG here ... had niece til 10 when everyone started coming over so busy day.

Gtg feed this girl her vegies ... think i'll give her panadol with her next small bedtime bottle after her shower ... her teeth have been hurting & she has been waking up screaming from sleeps, hot, sweaty & drool everywhere. Gtg she's calling. Night x

hey ladies
had my mum friends round today, one of them is preg and due in 2 weeks! made me miss my big belly so much... ah well, next year...

and talking of that, Hollie, frog did a deal as Sheree said. 100 clients. he can't change his mind

Lana i love the chalk mat, what a great idea! good to hear Griff's fontanelle went down. the paed told me they can use steroids (i think?) to reduce strawberry marks if they are really noticeable but they're meant to go away in 2-3 years anyway.

re the teething, i got my wisdom teeth was i was 17 and it hurt SO MUCH. one got an abscess too, it was so painful. i really feel for bubs teething...

ok i should go have a nap. i'm so dumb like that, i'm so tired and he's asleep (prob not for long ) and i stuff around on here and round th house. i bet he wakes up as soon as i doze off!

Sheree - i went into pumpkin patch today and bought a few tops and pants for griff... The 0 fit him now anyway (well the tops do but his waist is too little for the pants) and he is only going to grow!

Sarah - What a bummer bout the dress and nursery rhymes! At least you are able to exchange them though. And yes the chalk thing does just wipe clean.

Gin - Nah they dont have to do anything to it yet. We are just going to keep an eye on it and if it gets too big they can just laser it off ( ).

I hope you are going to put up a photo once you have finished knitting!!

Carrie - You poor thing :hugs: Hope you are feeling better soon hun.

I came on for a reason but i cant remember why now!

hehe lana i bought A a bonds all in one in a size 0. i have to roll the sleeves back and her feet sometimes slip out but the 00 was getting a little too snug on her tummy. i find some of PP's stuff annoying with the sizing.. M is the hardest to dress there coz the pants are usually too tight. i bought her a pair of jeans online so im hoping they'll fit.

gonna head up to kmart tomorrow i think coz they have 20% off kids clothes and its all new hi5 stuff.. so i tried to explain 'laybys' to M earlier so she can pick things out and we'll collect them when the weather is warmer but she didnt like that idea.

i forgot to say.. had the best sleep last night. only coz the power cut out a little before 7.30pm.. so we put the kids to bed had a shower and went to sleep.. i so needed it. i havent been going to bed till 11ish lately so having no power gave me no option. A was up twice but that doesnt bother me.. and then M & D slept till 7.30am!

dp is at his sisters fixing her car.. he left after dinner.. 5.30ish.. all the girls were asleep but 7.30 so im enjoying 'alone time'.

trying to suss out the girls birthday party. looks like it will be at a park.. roughly 40 kids but 10 of them are under 1. having a face painter & balloon twister.. but need to work out some games to play.. any ideas?? will do pass the parcel.. need to remember to take cd player.. im thinking of having it for 2 or 2&1/2hours.. i think thats long enough..

Gaby - Thanks hun. Yeah i figured i would google it and saw that come up. Thankfully it was fine this morning but i still took him to the docs cos i had another few things to ask about anyway.

Good Morning chatterboxes!

How is one meant to catch up on posts LOL!

Will try my best tomorrow, mum is coming over today.

Well i have some proud mummy news... i brought some Farex yesterday and a baby spoon set, as Antonio has been eyeing off our food for the last two weeks, totally mesmerized LOL. So seeing as he is almost 5 months old, decided to try him on solids.

First attempt was at 2pm after his bottle, and so i sat him in his highchair, and put some in his mouth, and at first he did the " hmm this is a funny texture /taste" face, then swallowed!! YAY! So then silly mummy put a little too much in next mouthful and he had trouble swallowing, ooops. After that was small and steady and he gobbled it down.

So gave him a little more after his 6pm feed and gobbled it down again. :smiliedance:

So will wait a few days now just to make sure no reaction etc and if not, will keep him on rice until he is 6 months and then start others. Went a lot easier than a thought it would.

I think A is also going through some kind of development stage as A) He has discovered he can make a kind of screeching noise by sucking in air at the same time, of that makes sense. (backwards) and he thinks this is hilarious!! So has decided the last three nights that rather than go to sleep when i put him down, he will scream and scream and then i get him up and all he wants to do is this new noise. So the little bugger until last night where i tricked him to sleep. Muahahhaha has been up til 1/1:30 just so he can :ecomcity::ecomcity:. Cute but  mummy needs sleep LOL.

Anyway must go , few things to do before mum gets here.

Have a fab day all

It's so hard keeping up with all you girls!!!

Elmo glad to hear Griff is ok!! must of been scary.

Shezi goodluck with the party! maybe you could have a treasure hunt?

Anna good on you for hanging in there with the no dummy, thats great she is sleeping longer for you!

Gin go with your motherely instints, your CHN sounds like mine. I asked her about teething last time I saw her and she was explaining to me how they move around underneath there skin and I said is that why they are in pain and she looked at me and snapped 'well we don't know that do we' WTF!!

Ad just be careful with constipation maybe offer some stewed pears or apple aswell, because my neice who is 6 months old has been eating just rice cereal and was rushed to hospital with really bad constipation a couple of days ago! I have been mixing it with some apple and haven't had any trouble yet.

I now know why Owen hasn't been sleeping he has 4 teeth!!! 1 down the bottom and 3 up the top. 2 are fully through and the others are just about to break through. He has been really good with them though, yesterday he was a bit grizzly and just wanted to be cuddled all day but last night he slept from 6.30pm to 8am, hope this means he's gonna start slepping through again:fingerscrossed: .

He also rolled over twice this morning :smiliedance: to his belly!! He definetly likes to do everything all at once.

Hey everyone

Guess what bum brains did - I dropped my moby in the bath I was running for Ella this morning ... whoopsy ... so it is drying out as wasn't working ... hope it works after though cos don't like my LG phone (the one actually on the plan I am paying off!).

All I have done today is washing, washing-up, shower, bathed Ella and not doing other housework as I have to save for tomorrow afternoon after Kindermusik & shopping seeing as Kelly's (my friend who moved to UK 9/10 yrs ago) mum (who is visiting from England) is coming over with her new boyf, his 2 girls, Becca & Matthew (Kel's sis &bro) and so is my mum & dad to meet her on Friday around 11am. This will be the first time I get to meet her. So anyway I will just do a good clean again tomorrow arvo and prob vacuum & mop tomorrow too but then vacuum again before they come on Friday if i have time ... lol.

Tried E on mashed nana (mixed with formula) today but she kept spitting it back at me! Cheeky monkey. It may just have been her being full from her bottle & ready for a sleep though so put in the fridge for later.

Discovered E is really ticklish under right side of neck, she squeals & carries on when I tickle her or blow rasberries there or whatever. She is also making this low growling noise I have been doing (back of throat) on her neck to make her laugh & she is doing it constantly & it just sounds weird such a low sound coming from a baby!

SARAH - Good luck at the dentist ... I have never had a filling or anything done either so good luck!! Hope Miss Iris behaves ... sure she will :)

LL - Did you get your sleep? I do the same thing ... we need to learn don't we? Although this morning I raced around doing stuff so I could go back to bed with E but then decided I should have a shower 'just in case' (when I am in my pj's no bra etc is when ppl unexpectedly turn up ... namely council workers & the hot guy hehe) then jumped into bed & read about 3 pages of HP. She wokr then so didn't get very far but she let me finish the chapter while she played with my hands! Have you read it yet? My sis has finished it, I am only up to chapter 4. Except I can't remember for the life of me what happened in no. 6... Is Snape now a death eater?? I should go back & re-read it but I can't be bothered lol.

Oh just saw you got 4 mins! Hehe cheeky Harps! Who is Baby Einstein?

Wisdom teeth - I have never got mine ... I think I may still have 1 or 2 baby teeth - take after my dad who lost his last baby tooth when he was about 33!

SHEZI - Sounds like a nice night you had! 40 kids OMG!! Hehe ... Park is a great idea then. What about Duck Duck Goose (hopefully no Ralph's - Simpsons), Musical Chairs, Statues, Egg & Spoon Race, 3 legged race (obviously last 2 for older kids) ... can't think of anymore ... With pass the parcel mum used to put a small prize like a Freddo in each layer of newspaper to unwrap so most of us got something. But I never got anything at other ppl's but at home dad would always be Mr Music and make sure everyone got a go (mum would put enough newspaper layers on for everyone) and the main prize would be in wrapping paper instead so we knew it was the prize & dad would turn away for that one & stop whenever. If I think of other games I'll let ya know :)

AD - How cute!

LANA - Glad Griff is well ...

SUNFLOWER - That must be why E isn't sleeping either - she has about 3 or 4 on the bottom & a couple up top ... must be painful hey. Yay for Owen rolling over!!!

Gtg Elly-moo's calling!

Hi there. Hope everyone's well..... Just like to say that Ellery is having sleeps during the day! (WOW) Unheard of in our lifetime until recently.

Just a couple of questions to other March Mummies - how heavey are your littlies? Ellery is 16lb (7.2kg) and although I am not hungup on weight gain as such, others comments have made me think? I thought it a good thing if your baby was 'chubby'.. Sign of good health (in a general way)... She's not HUGE, but i know that she's heavier.... Do other mums with 'chubby' baby's get this kind of feedback - or is it just 'lucky me' with opinionated people around me. If she were tiny - I would no doubt be getting comments about that?

Just wanted to know if I was the only one, and also am interested to hear how all the other baby's her age are going.

She is trying to roll over, tries so hard at times all she does is 'blow off'... Quite amusing.. ha ha

She is getting teeth - her bottom gums at the front are very red and swollen, poor little thing. The clinic nurse said that the younger they get them - the harder it is, as they don't have alot else to concentrate on... (Great)...
Are any of your little sweeties getting teeth.

Well, sorry for the barrage of questions. Happy Mummying.... :)

Hey Mel

Noticed Ellery & Ella are 1 day apart!

Ella weighed in at 7.5kg at the dr's last Thurs when she got her 4 mth needles. Don't worry about a few rolls lol.

Sheree will agree chubbas are the best! Besides, when they are sick they have weight to fall back on plus when they start crawling it evens out. And bonus points for just being cute as!

As for teeth, you can see E's 2 bottom teeth through her gum, feel a couple on the bottom left side and top right side.

So everything is normal ... is Ellery's sleeping turned to sh!t from her teeth or is it just E being a poo?

Ella is very vocal now too. She also tries to roll but doesn't get far either lol. Cute though with all the grunting!

HOLLIE - What's the thing about the hugs emoticon?? I take back all cyber hugs to you now lol.

its the first thing people comment on when they see him.. My god he's massive! No "isn't he cute and lovely and adorable etc etc" ..
In his swimming class he is the second largest baby and all the others are 7 - 11 months.

Frog said I can have another toadlet if I build up a nappy empire. Hmmm. Going to call it Cr@p Catchers and have the toadlet on the web site with sunglases on and a word bubble saying "I wouldn't sh!t in anything else".

well, Harps slept a lot better last night. went down at 9.30 (my light was off at 9.40 lol) then had a feed at 2 and 5, straight back to sleep both times. i had to wake him up at 8.45 to feed him before my exercise class! so i'm hoping the 3x/night was a passing phase...

ok will read posts now.

Carrie - Baby Einstein is an educational brand, i have some of their books and i got a set of 23 dvds off ebay. they are for 1mo+, 9mo+ and 1yr+ so he's watched two of the baby ones. one had one of his fave toys "Red Dog" (lamaze).
i havent got HP yet, big w has sold out and its too rainy to bother going anywhere else at the moment... i might need to read the last one again too. i used to read at least a book a week but now i don't have the time... should spend less time on BH!! lol.

Hollie - are you going to make inserts too or just the pockets? is it worth it cost-wise to have someone else do the sewing? great news re possible toadlet#2 :D

Mel - Harper is average size, some people tell me he's big and some say he's not. so i wouldnt worry about other people's comments. i would worry a lot more over a skinny bub. babies are meant to have rolls! (unlike Mummy, but this weather seems to equal pigging out on junk :( )

Lana - can't wait to see your teddy all finished!

ok well i havent had a shower after training yet (tho i DID get rained on lol). H skipped his nap while i was out so hopefully he'll be down for a couple of hours. why do they always wake up in the middle of washing your hair?

Very cute pouch.

LT, I AM a mess with no sleep LOL. Ive just learnt to cope with it I guess. Im fantasising and hanging out for the night she sleeps through. I tell myself its gotta happen one day right?
Gawd he doesn't want much does he? 100 clients then a nappy empire:rolleyes: .
Great photo too. Very peaceful look.
I agree that you should sell your nappies. They are stunning!

Sarah, OUCHY! Ive never had a filling either. Dont want one either.

Gin, no I haven't got my wisdom teeth. They move around and try and pop up occassionally but never actually break the skin. Just get hard and sore then go down again. I can relate to the poor bubs pains.

Carrie, hope you feel better! Not nice being sick with bubs and I hope E sleeps for you real soon. I can relate to a tempermental sleeper as you know so you have my deepest symathies.

Shezi, 40 kids under 1:eek: . Your braver than I. Congrats on the great sleep. Leahs clothes are snug around her tum too. Shes so rolly polly LOL.

AD, I have a chatter box / squealer too. Very cute but not so cute at 4am.

Sunflower, congrats on all the teeth and rolling.

Us, well, Leah was a horror last night. I think because shes so finicky with sleep and I went out the past two days and she was beside herself when I put her down, Ive been feeding her / calming her to sleep so last night she decided she wanted the same. Woke at 12am, whinged till 1.20 till I fed her to sleep, woke again at 2am for another feed to sleep then at 4am when I popped her in bed and acted as an all night buffet bar. Needless to say we are home today and she is NOT being fed to sleep. Monkey.

I didn't say but I nearly dropped her head first on a step yesterday. Tripped and had a bag in the other hand and she flipped back on me. Very scary. *shudder*.

Just ordered baby food in my gorceries. Still waiting till nearly 6 months but started thinking about the avocado and over ripe banana in the fridge today so must be getting ready to start.

Need to get into the TT with Sam actually but hes so defiant at the moment that its just a big hassel.

Nothign else to report. Been scrubbing my kitchen this morning so its sparkling.

Mel - Amity was always a real chubba. It does settle down once they become more active though so dont worry... As you said, its a catch 22. If people werent commenting on her chubbiness it would be on her being little.

(oops just got back from MG and realised i forgot to post this earlier!)

Frog said I can have another toadlet if I build up a nappy empire. Hmmm. Going to call it Cr@p Catchers and have the toadlet on the web site with sunglases on and a word bubble saying "I wouldn't sh!t in anything else".

lmao!

Shezi, 40 kids under 1:eek: . Your braver than I. Congrats on the great sleep. Leahs clothes are snug around her tum too. Shes so rolly polly LOL.

I didn't say but I nearly dropped her head first on a step yesterday. Tripped and had a bag in the other hand and she flipped back on me. Very scary. *shudder*.
:hugs: to you hun. well done catching her!

oh no hehe.. 40kids all up! only 10 under 1. going back to the original idea of having it at home now..

girls is it rude to ban indoor play? im probably being silly but i dont want inside my house trashed. as well as the ponies, face painter, balloon twister, we also have a trampoline, slide & swings.. will it look horrible if i lock my back door and only allow kids in through the laundry to go to the loo? sounds terrible..:o

thanks again gaby!!! i was sent all the info. just debating whether to get one or two ponies and for 1 hour or 2hours.. they say 1 pony will do roughly 20-25rides in an hour. so its really between 1 pony for 2 hours or 2 for 1 hour. hmm is an hour enough??

carrie yep im with you. chubbas rock!

Sheree, i think its fine to have an outside-only party. my bro's 21st was at my old house and no-one was allowed past the toilet on the back verandah. nobody minded...

Sheree i think its fine to say outside only as well. Im sure all the other parents will understand! I think 1 hour will be heaps of time for the ponies. I would probably get 2 ponies for 1 hour.

Michaela - Is Harper being a good boy and sleeping for you??

I just missed out on the best deal through oneitem... It only got put up last night and i was out first thing this morning so didnt get to see it until 12.30pm... https://www.oneitem.com/baby/home.asp
The cheapest i have seen it anywhere else is $49.95!!! What a bummer

Anna - Oh my! How frightening for you! Thankfully you were able to catch her though. Leah sure does like the whole 'comforter' idea hey lol

Hi there... I think Ellery has just gone down for a sleep. We went and had a quick bite for lunch with DP. Haven't done that since her arrival - I was bored, so got me out. I don't usually stay at home in the mornings, as I need activity - but today I was struggling to motivate myself.

Thanks for the comments with regard to Ellery's weight... Makes me feel heaps better.... She is very cuddley - and i love her that way! She is a bit grouchy - teeth/gums are sore... I see that one of the bubba's on here (sorry, I haven't worked how to go back and get names etc. while I am typing... DOH! Don't mean to be rude) but, one bubba has 2 teeth! That also makes me feel better - as most around me here have said "Gee's she young - must be her size...." PPPLLLEEEAAAASSSEEEEEE - so you've all helped me throught that one as well. :)

Question - what is MCN????? Alot of you talk about it, but i don't know what it is...?

With regard to the party outside - I think it's a fair thing - definately. It would be hard to not have something marked/dented/smashed etc.. inside the house.. I would think most people would be understanding.....

Hope everyone is well......
chat soon

it stands for Modern Cloth Nappy - a great way to be enviro-friendly without all the hassles of traditional cloth nappies. lots of info HERE (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=288) if you're interested... i'm happy to answer any questions you might have, i am obsessed with them

Thanks for letting me know MCN is all about - I'll look at it in more detail, then i'll be up on the conversation!

The photo of ellery on the avatar is a little old. She's porked up a bit since then. I'll update the photo - so then it gives a true picture of what she's like.... but, she's still adorable... he he

Oh LOL. told you I dont read well:laughing: . 40 kids is still more than I could handle. Im not a kid person. As for outside play only - absolutely! Sams 1st we had here and had jam and such trampled into my newly cleaned carpet. Wasn't impressed.

No Chubba's here in this family - I think I have the streamlined version. Matthew is definitely the chubbier of my two and he has just the one roll on his thighs. As long as they have the 'crease' at their wrist then I'm not worried. I guess all bubs are different heh. Must weigh him again and see how he is doing.

Tried rice cereal yesterday morning - no good. He kinda took the first spoon and didn't do much with it so I put some more in - then he nearly choked. Scared him a bit so I'll give it a rest for a week or so then try again. Maybe with apple or pear this time.

Oh yeah - DUMMY - its time to GO!!!!! He is waking up every hour or so during the night and only catnapping during the day. I am at the end of my tether and have decided the dummy has to go. Popped out yesterday arvo and got the book "Save our Sleep" (I think Anna this is the one you used?) and am just working out when to start the no dummy stuff. The routine side of things is pretty much what I am doing already so hopefully it will all work out nicely. :fingerscrossed:

Hollie - love the business name. Go for it!!!!

Shezi - love the ponies idea. I agree that two might be better.

Lana - I didn't realise you were combining breast and bottle. Any tips on how to do this? Should I aim for specific feeds times to do boob and others to to bottle? At the moment I am trying boob first off then finishing off with a bottle if there wasn't much there...? Not sure how sustainable this will be though.

Mel - Aren't the girls on here great!!!! Your Ellery is just gorgeous and it sounds like you are doing a great job as a mum.

re the boobies. well yes i am all for implants! my boobs have been absolutely destroyed. they go back to my pre kid size(10D/DD) while preg but as soon as i stop breastfeeding feeding they go to a 10B/C. i need an uplift too. for some reason dp is against fake boobies hehe. how fab to not even need to wear a bra tho! imagine the tops you could wear with no backless, strapless bra :D

shezi i remember we had 2 pony's and each ride seemed to take ages with the poor kids in a long line desperate 4 their turn!

thanx for that! yep just decided on 2 for 1 hour. i think they should all get 2 rides.. they will dress up the ponies too.. not sure if thats cruel or not. no worse than making them give kids rides for an hour i guess!

anna i really hope leah sleeps well for you tonight!

As for outside play only - absolutely! Sams 1st we had here and had jam and such trampled into my newly cleaned carpet. Wasn't impressed.
well that seals the deal! almost makes me want to have it at the park again lmao!

this is turning into one expensive party. i just remind myself its a 'joint party' so halve the expensive between them and its not so bad. i can justify it :D

goodluck with getting rid of matts dummy sharon!! A's not a fan of the food yet either.

Sharon - Im only really giving Griff breast milk at his early morning feeds (either 3 and 6am or 5.30 ish). When i was weaning him down though i was doing every second feed and then every third etc. I think every second is a pretty easy way of combining breast and bottle but have no idea if you want to offer boob first. Sorry!

Re the dummy - i guess im lucky that Griff isnt realy fussed about having one. Although sometimes during the day he will want to suck my finger so i will stuff a dummy in instead but he always spits it out just before he falls asleep anyway. Good luck with it all.

Sheree - I think i will let you organise my parties! Poor Amity didnt even get a party this year. Mind you it was only 6 weeks after i had Griff. Your girls are very lucky! (remind them of all this effort when they are choosing your retirement home!  )

 Hi everyone

Hope you had a restful night... I was in bed by 9.15am..... DP goes to work early (up at 4am!) and then I, for some strange reason, couldn't get back to sleep after he left aboyt 5am...So, thought i might as well have a nice looong shower and wash my hair while Ellery's asleep (she usually wakes around 5.30am) and the little sweety is still sound asleep!!

I am planning on starting my walking regime today. I am all ready to go. I wanted to walk along the beach - so i'll pack Ellery in early, about 7.15am and get started.... I feel a little 'safer' up at the beach on the pathways there, as there is always people around... Plenty of places to go for a coffee also and just take my time. I usually go for small walks during the day - and often have things to do at shopping centres and stuff, but not full-on walking... So, see how i go!

Not too cold here on the coast this morning - but a little cooler than yesterday morning. Last week was a joke!!!! I think it was recorded -1 at Coolangatta......

Thanks for the support with Ellery's weight as well. I feel much better now.... All comments will just go over my head......

Elmapalooza - with the dummy, Ellery has one most of the time - but she doesn't scream for it at night time... She doesn't seem to want it when she's REALLY TIRED (which by the sounds of it, is lucky for me!):smiliedance:

Well, Ellery's just woken. She is in her cot - talking to herself. That's been the latest trick - screeching like a dolphin.. Can get rather high in pitch and annoying, but it's still great to hear her interacting (even if it be with toys, bears and/or her own hands!!!) ha ha

Will chat to you all later and hope you have a good day.

Hi There

NEMOSMUM - you mentioned about sewing. I've recently bought a new sewing machine - never tried it before. I can knit, crochet, needle work etc.. but never sewing. I've been looking for a SUPER EASY pattern for a dress for Ellery (like the A-Line style I think its called) Can you tell me where I may be able to get something that a very, very new sewer could tackle without being turned off??????

Ellery's asleep. Went for the walk - all good..... Kept myself amused for a few hours - now home. She's a little grouchy with her teeth, so I can relate to all you poor mums out there with littlies who are teething.....:o

Lana I'm devastated by my poor boobies too, they were small to start off with but at least they were ginda full, now I have got nothing, don't know how horrible they are gonna be after having all my kids!! I hate the look of fake ones though, why do they make them so big?

NemosmumLOL, at least you had something else to fix! Enjoy your sewing

Sharon I did the save our sleep thing awhile back with Owen to get rid of the dummy and he started sleeping 12 to 13 hrs at night straight away, but since he has been getting teeth he's getting up 1 to 2 times a night. Goodluck with it!!

Melannh Ellery looks gorgeous in your new Av!!

Shezi your girls sound so lucky, sounds like you know how to chuck a party!!

Carrie poor little Ella!! do you find that the bonjela does anything?? It doesn't seem to affect Owen, panedole works thankgod. I also wet a washer for him to suck on this works really well, I tried some teething rings but he doesn't hold them in his mouth long enough, maybe you could try this with Ella. I hope she is sleeping better for you.

WOW you sound very talented Im sure sewing will be a breeze for you!
Here is the pattern we chose

http://s211.photobucket.com/albums/bb260/landie_04/?action=view&current=Irischristening060.jpg

We just cut out the pattern and then pinned it to the material and cut it out last night (that part seemed straight forward)
also its cut in one piece so super easy for a beginner!

Im going to hand sew it (as my mums sewing machine is tempremental with beginners LOL) and we are not doing the binding around the trim etc as my mum said thats too tricky for a beginner to do

Cant wait to start sewing tonight Iris is going to look so sweet!
oh and Im not sure about the pants we cut them out but i didnt get to read the directions for those.

NemosmumLOL, at least you had something else to fix! Enjoy your sewing

Thanks nemosmum.... The pattern looks easier than what i've found... Must admit - haven't looked a whole heap as haven't had alot of time, and then i forget to.....
I've always done needlework when bored - thought I was awful at it, but I don't do too bad. Ellery was a wrap baby (and still is) and I found it hard to find light-weight covers big enough to wrap her in... So, i took myself off to spotlight and got some flannalette type material, edged it with crochet - and now i've had a number of people ask where i got it from???? I should do some up and put them on e-bay... ha ha... what a laugh...

I could hand-sew as well - but thought I'd try and do something on the sewing machine.... Bryan got it for me. He's actually quite good himself. He had more of an idea than i did, as his mum's done sewing all her life. Unfortunately, she's tripping around Oz at the moment - so i don't have her to assist me.

Bryan and I got some new curtains for our bedroom - and they needed hemming, so between us both - we managed to do it, and it looks JUST FINE.. ha ha... He's actually better than i am... Much neater and has more patience - so he'll always help me in time of need (although, the rules are to not tell anyone else.... You know, the manhood thing happening.... what a laugh!!!)

Thanks again and let me know how the dress turns out.

Hehehe I'm the same as you, they have always been on the smaller size but were nice and full and perky... I must say though, they are still pretty perky but any fullness in the top has disappeared! Im just not sure that i am willing to go through all that pain just to look good....hmmm....

sarah.. im using these as party bags.. http://www.thepartyparlour.com.au/products/?cat=8a23d97662e810f8c7c3da08dc75c60c&key=KIFDsq
just gonna get a whole heap of different colours.. last year they were filled with freddos, lollies(candy watches/necklaces), a little colouring in book(a lady on ebay made them along with the girls invites), a couple of balloons, and a few little toys like the spin topper things.. and not to forget the noisy blower thingys.. just to annoy parents on the way home lol

i feel sick! mum had bought me a tub of icecream from baskin robbins.. with rockyroad at the bottom & chocolate mousse royale on top. but i really wanted rockyroad so i ate my way down :o lol. the girls helped a little but seeing tho its only 10.30 not feeling too well.

swimming lessons werent good.. the whole lesson was spent on the flippin steps! M can swim! i dont want her wasting time in the pool on the steps.. silly. it was ok for D(she did exactly the same things as M's class) but not for M and she was with 2 boys who were 4 and 5! so it wasnt like they were catering for 'littlies'. and its $15 each. so i paid $30 for my girls to sit on steps & blow bubbles. back to square one now coz have no idea where to take them..

mel thats so funny about your man sewing so well. i guess if he ever peeves ya just place a heap of material in front of him and tell him what you want made.. or else :devil6: lol

everyone has stopped the hugs.. hollie getting to ya's? :hugs: to all!

Hi Girls

R&M's Mum, wasn't me that did the 'save our sleep'. I read the 'no cry sleep solution' earlier on but dont find it particularly practical now. Re the dummy, I just took it away and accepted I would have aprox 3 rough days. Did/do the 5 minutes resettle thing. Good luck!

Mel, good luck with the walking. I started that this week too and have been once. Would love to have a beach nearby.

Sarah, congrats on teh sewing!! I need to learn one day. Might take a class at some point. Still learning how to knit so one domestic thing at a time.

Gabby, cant help with teh tongue tie. What does it mean for later? Are there any issues iwth speech or anything other than the breastfeeding?

Shezi, you lucky thing! I used to crave baskin robins sundays with hot caramal sauce when pg. Love the boxes too.

Well unsure what to do about Sams birthday now. The place I was going to have it seems to have put in place stupid rules like the kids cant eat cake on the premises and have uped their required number of children as of July and I had to really push the point about having booked before that. But if I cancel, its a $50 fee plus I then have to arrange something else which will probably be something at home and I really cant be bothered doing an at home things and trying to find ways to entertain a bunch of kids between 1 and 5 yrs old and have Sam have a paddy because they want to play with his toys. Not impressed with the place though.

Sam woke with a fever last night. No idea why. A bit of a temp today but feels fine in himself. Very odd.

Nothing else to report. Housework awaits....... again.

Shezi - that's not good about the swimming lessons. Disappointing when you feel you're not getting your $$'s worth... i haven't found a place close-by for ellery's swimming lessons... Might wait till it's a bit warmer, around the 6 month mark...

Also sounds like you have the party organised... Alot of work - but I am sure it will be a wonderful day!

With regard to the implants discussion - I've always had decent sized (12D) during pregnancy they got a bit bigger, but definately saggier... Gravity had started taking over with age, but pregnancy just nailed it - they're heading south!!!!!!!!! :crying: I am a real wuss when it comes to any kind of pain - so implants are just not an option for me. I am now still sitting at the DD size - gone up 1 size around the back too - now a 14 (but some are a bit tight in a 14 as well... OH NO  )

Have to go and do some domestic chores now.... DELIGHTFUL.... I'd rather just sit here and :ecomcity:

I can't wait until Ellery finally rolls... She's trying really hard - but not quite there yet... antonio's a clever boy and I can understand how proud you are!

MEL:smiliedance:

Proud Mummy Moment again - just had to share quickly..

Antonio was on his back in his play gym when i went and made a coffee, almost made my coffee and heard him grizzle a little bit, so went and checked on him and he was on HIS TUMMY!! (But had 1 arm stuck under his body - hence the grizzle).. then when i was sitting with him he went from tummy to back, then onto his tummy again.. over a period of time, not all at once LOL.

:smiliedance::yelclap::smiliedance:

Got to rush as heading out... hope you are all well, im one proud mummy at the moment. HEHE

I hear you, Sarah!

Have been following the posts in the couple of days but hadn't been able to complete a reply yet. The posts have been moving so quickly!

B & I have been taking it easy lately. Had a great time in a friend's wedding over the weekend, then a couple of days at home with DH. It's his birthday yesterday, so he took a short leave to spend time with us. We had a small celebration at home, just the 3 of us, with cake & candles, and some Goan food takeaways - which turned out to be really lovely. B & I gave DH a gift card for a pampering session & hair cut in a men-only spa in the city, close to his office. He's never been into a spa before so wasn't sure if he'd like it, but a colleague highly reccommended the place and DH seemed keen to try, so hopefully he'll enjoy it.

Firsttime ~ Alexander is so cute. I love his nuddie pic.

Emma ~ love your new ava. Cooper looks so grown up in it, and what a lovely big smile.
Have you had any luck with catching the mouse? If not, I heard that peanut butter works like a charm as bait.

Shezi ~ hope A is on the mend now.
Glad to hear about the good sleepie, you deserved it. Re. party, it's a great idea to have the pony. I'm sure it'll be a HUGE hit with the kiddies.

Carrie ~ poor E she must be suffering a lot with so many teeth coming up. How is your hand? Have you had the surgery? It's lovely to hear that your DH is making a doll house for E for Xmas, it'll be so special.

NM ~ Iris is such a tall and slim girl, she could be a model one day. And ouch! for the tooth, I can't believe it's your first hole ever...you must have had really good teeth. I hope things settle soon between you and Mike, one way or another.

The sewing sounds exciting. You should post some pics of the dresses when they're finished. I've been meaning to take up sewing during maternity leave (so that at least I can shorten my own pants lol), but has yet to get to it.

LL ~ does H like his Baby Einstein dvd? I bought the set for B sometimes ago, he seems to like it but can only watch around 15mins or so each time, after that he starts whinging and wants to do something else.

FBOW ~ Hi! Looks like Will is thriving!

LT ~ you made the cutest nappies, I think making it into a business is a good idea!
Happy to hear that you & Frog are back together again.

You mentioned sometimes ago that Monty seemed to be a bit clingy? Below is so info from babycentre.com that may help explain what happens.
"Getting more selective about people
By four months, your baby may respond to your presence, your voice, and even your facial expressions by kicking and waving his arms. About now, your child, who to this point probably bestowed smiles on everyone he met, is beginning to be choosy about the company he keeps. In large groups or with unfamiliar people he may need time to get comfortable. Allow for transition time with strangers or when leaving your baby with a babysitter. You may also notice that when he's safely in your arms he's interested in interacting with other people -- especially noisy, boisterous older children."

Anna ~ Have you try an ointment called Dermeze? B has dermatitis too and the ointment works like a charm on him, plus it's ok if gets into bub eyes/mouth.

B is also not a happy chap when he miss a nap. When we're out using pram and pass B's nap time I usually just keep going so that he can sleep in his pram. After he's asleep, I usually do my errands or just stop somewhere for coffee and some read. Then we'll go home when he's awake or when his nap time finishes, this way I won't disrupt his routine. Not sure if this will help as it maybe different for you though with a toddler in tow.

What a scare re. almost dropping Leah. That is one of my biggest worries, like LL I sometimes imagine these things and ends up freaking myself out, I know I should really stop.

Lana ~ glad to hear that Griff fontanelle is ok, it must have been quite a scare. Hope all is ok with the strawberry mark too. Re. PP pants, I love ones with flexible waist (elastic with multiple button holes - similar to maternity one), as they grow with bub...perfect for my big boy.

AD ~ glad to hear that A takes on solids so well. We still delaying solids for B, but have included farex and a couple of fruit jars in our next grocery delivery for when we start later. Fingers crossed he'll take it as well as A did.

Q on solids, are we meant to reduce the amount of milk given to bub beforehand? Or give the same amount of milk and give the solids as addition? Anyone know?

Sunflower ~ sounds like Owen is very advanced, I can't believe he's already had 2 teeth already, wow!

Melanh ~ yay for Ellery day sleeps, it's must be hard before when she's not sleeping. B has 3 day naps and there are days when I feel barely survive! B is a big boy at 9.5kg (last week), and yes we got the 'big boy' comment every time. I was a bit worry when heard that B is hitting the 9.5kg mark last week, but the kind moms here reassures me that all are ok (thanks girls!). His paed also said things usually even out at the end and gave us a referral to a pediatric dietitian if we need more guidance when starting solids. If you're really worry, maybe ask your dr for similar referral later?

I think I'd better post my mamoth post before B wakes up again.

Well, PROUD MOMENT!!!!! Ellery rolled... Only 1 way - from front to back!!! She gave herself a fright the first time - the 2nd time bomped her head on the mat!! But she's alright... Currenlty suppose to be asleep but chatting and screeching to her imaginary friends in the cot!!!! :yelclap:

Brendansmum mentioned about solids. I am yet to tackle this.... I've been told about introducing farex? to Ellery's diet - but I am a bit confused. I know it's only the minimal amount, but B'sMum asked about whether to lessen the amount of formula... I'd like to know if anyone can help me with that also......?

Hope everyone is well...

:yelclap: for the 360-degree. Also:smiliedance: for Antonio & Ellery, how exciting!

B also did a 'real' roll for the first time today, it must be a roll day . Before this he did what we call 'half and half roll', meaning upper body first...then rest...and lower body followed...very cute!

Re. teething ~ B is munching on everything in his sight now, incl. his fists, bib, rattle, teddy... even mommy's arm. Not sure if he's teething though cause his gums don't look red/bumpy and he's not unusually grizzly.

Well done to all the rollers!! :yelclap: :smiliedance: my poor little delayed Aalivyah.. just like daddy.. aint gonna roll over till she absolutely has to! she's getting there tho, she can roll onto her side then grins and falls back haha!

hmm solids.. no i think they say milk is the most important and to give solids after a milk feed. is this right? im going by what i was told with M so it might have changed..

Lol sounds like she is smart, thats all!!

Re solids...i think that when you are first starting them on solids you offer the food after a bottle or in between feeding times BUT once bub is having 3 meals a day you are meant to offer them the solids first and then offer them a bottle.

Wow look at all the rolling bubs! Well done!

Sunflower - glad that 'save our sleep' worked for you. Its nice to hear that it does actually work. I hope the teething wake-ups end soon for you.

Fake boobies - I would love to do it but not sure about justifying the $$$. A friend of mine had hers done and she didn't go big, just perfect for her size and they look fabulous!!! I'm terrible though - I find myself spotting the fakes.... DH laughs - he likes it that I am looking at other womens boobs ;).

Firsttime - my brother is tongue-tied. Not to a huge extent but it doesn't seem to bother him at all. I remember as kids he couldn't touch his nose with his tongue - it would only go down to his chin.

Sarah & mel - love the dress pattern. As a teenager I used to be a huge sewer. Used to make all my clothes, even bikinis. Haven't done much for years but recently got my old machine serviced (i've had it for some 20+yrs ) and have just last night done some mending for DH. Felt good to be back at the machine - one of these days I will drag out some of my stockpile of material and actually make something again. Good luck with your projects.

Shezi - did you talk to the swimming people? Maybe they can put M in a different class that is more advanced?

Congrats to all the rollers. Clever boys and girls!!!

Re Solids - no you don't reduce the amount of milk they get. Still give them a full feed and at this stage the food afterwards is just a bonus. Later on you start to give them the food first and then the milk afterwards although off the top of my head I can't remember when that is.... will try to find it.

thanks for the replies on the tongue tied. i asked the health nurse at my local chemist today, and she wasnt very helpful.

i'm worried about the speech issue, i hope it doesnt mean he cant speak properly, poor little darling.

ryanandmatthewsmum - can you hear that your brother has tongue tied? if you didnt know he had it, would you know?

shezi - i think you can get those noodle boxes from red dot? have you looked around at the prices?

elmo - thanks for the google link! also, have you chatted to your DR about the headaches? it's been a while for you now, maybe its worth mentioning?

what good little babies - Ellery, Iris etc - you are all showing my boy up! i guess they will all roll in their own good time!

Not great quality however in the process of finding it I got sidetracked into Ryan's piccies at the same age....

Check this out - one of my fave shots of Ryan. He is transfixed by something on the TV.

Firsttime: No - you would not even know that my bro is tongue tied. His speech is not affected, nor did he have any problems with either eating or learning to speak. Basically it is just an odd thing about him that I could tease him about..... not that I ever did of course being such a sweet sister that I am... :D

Emma ~ love your new ava. Cooper looks so grown up in it, and what a lovely big smile.
Have you had any luck with catching the mouse? If not, I heard that peanut butter works like a charm as bait.
Thanks Jenny...No we haven't caught the mouse yet. It seems to be able to eat anything off the traps and they don't go off. I suppose peanut butter might be a bit harder to get off so I might try it. My sister and I tried to catch it yesterday as we cornered it in the kitchen and it ran under the fridge and when it finally came out it scared us so we ran away and it went under the dishwasher LOL.

Sheree when i was last in Big W i saw something similar to a baby bjorn carrier but it is specifically for water use. I think it is made out of a chlorine resistant material and quick drying.. Cant entirely remember but might be worth checking out just in case your mum cant go.

elmo - thanks for the google link! also, have you chatted to your DR about the headaches? it's been a while for you now, maybe its worth mentioning?

Gaby - Yeah i know i should ask the doc about it i just really dont have time at the moment. Plus im not sure if it is my eyes again. Maybe i will make an appt to get my eyes checked again...

Emma - Oh i hope you DH is ok! Is it something serious? :hugs: for you all. bout the mouse scaring you! I sooo sympathise. Who would have thought that such a little creature could be so d@mn scary!

Sharon - Love the pics of the boys. Ryan sure is looking intently at something lol! How much does Matthew weigh now? I remember you were just recently saying that he only has like one little roll so just curious lol. (is he a long bub?)

Hehehe Sam and I play 'Spot the fakies' too lol!

My poor little Griff had another slight temp tonight... It was at 37.7 degrees and he was all restless and grizzly. He refused to lay in the trolley tonight while we were doing food shopping too so Sam had to carry him. He kept drooling everywhere lol so im really starting to think that his teeth arent just moving under the surface anymore. Would explain the temp!

Hello all! Just a quick post as I am getting so behind with all the chatter :gloomy:

Sharon-Ryan looks totally absorbed! Gorgeous pics of both boys.

Dry skin-I second the "Dermeze" recommendation, it is developed by the Royal Children's Hospital (Melbourne) Pharmacy and is wonderful! After a long time (since 3 weeks) of Kes having dry thighs that get so inflamed and sore and the health nurse and others keeping on saying 'olive oil!!!', I went to the chemist and a customer there said never to use olive oil on it as it would burn the already sore skin... which I guess explains the scorching red look when i put it on (I thought it was because I was rubbing it and increasing circulation).
Anyhoo, I put some Dermeze on him yesterday a few times, and you wouldn't believe how much better the skin is. I feel like the worst Mum in the world, it has been 14 weeks that I have been hurting the poor kid. :crying:

LT-ooh, I wanna cr@p catcher! LOL, how about you design wonderful nappies, I design the appliqués, and we grow fat on the profits eh? :p

Shezi, I want a pony ride after reading about them, hehe, no fair!

Congratulations to all the wonderful rolling bubbas, that is awesome!

I have a regressive boy I think... after shuffling across the bed at 1 week, and rolling front to back at 10 weeks... he does neither any more! ROFL, and he seems to have lost his feet again! It's pretty funny, he hasn't lost his beautiful dimply grin though so I still love my little slow-poke. He feels very cuddly these days, it's wonderful being able to give him an actual hug!
He is a total Mummies Boy now though which is a tad tricky, doesn't want his Dad for long in the evenings so it's a bit harder for me to do anything. Although... he has started laughing at DH! He doesn't do proper laughs with me, but apparently Dad is a hoot, LOL

I'd better end this post here, I've already forgotten what else I read (and I know there's heaps, I'm truly sorry girls!)

Hi everyone. Hope the morning's started out alright. I've been to the chiro - and feel great again.... Was feeling a bit off last night - hence, got the periods today (explains it all) I am a bit early though - was due next Wednesday, but I am assuming everything's still out of whack due to birth etc..... Do any of you have similar problems - or due to br.feeding, hasn't started again?

Elmopalooza - hope you little ones temp settles down. Ellery's very grizzly with her teeth and won't settled during the day too well (thought i'd mastered that, but doesn't appear so!!!):banghead:
Anyway, her temp. doesn't seem too bad - but she does get very sad... (LIKE NOW!)

Little Toad - what sort of pram did you get???

I am interested in the water carrier's you're all talking about. I know that I am probably way behind in the conversation - but somebody mentioned a website?????

Chat again soon. Need to go and check on sad Miss Ellery.

Yippeee!!

Pram not road tested yet.. but s far so good!
Looks fantastic, glad I got the black and not the red and grey.

it's got a mosquito net/sunshade int he hood, swivel wheels at the front , reversible seat, reversible and adjustable handle. 4 positions and puncture proof tires.

The only negative things I can see so far is where I used to pick up my old pram to carry it up stairs, if I do it that way with this pram it releases the seat off the base. It's also fairly wide.

Can't wait to road test it!

I've got a bubhubber coming round soon so better dry my hair.

Shezi, I think Id take a slightly different approach:detective: .......... what are some things she does that the other two aren't allowed? Perhaps if she wants to be treated like a baby - treat her like a baby and explain when these things cant happen that if shes a big girl then she dresses herself but if shes a baby then shes not allowed to play with xyz like the other two aren't. Dont know if she'd get that yet but that would be my initial thought. Another thought - perhaps introduce pocket money and make one of her 'jobs' getting dressed each day. Or just let her perform - its only a stage.

Anyhoo, I put some Dermeze on him yesterday a few times, and you wouldn't believe how much better the skin is. I feel like the worst Mum in the world, it has been 14 weeks that I have been hurting the poor kid. :crying:

Hi there everyone

Well, my day's been a bit 'yeah'yeah'..... HHMMM:( Feel a bit flat - but I think its the old periods having their usual 'nightmarish' affect... I feel heavey headed and actually had to go to bed for an hour before due to a h'ache. Thankfully, DH was home - Ellery slept while I did, so it was nice to have a rest - but she's FULL ON since waking..... Just not in the mood - and feel really guilty about it.

Not that I want others to have them too, but nice to know I am not the only with the 'good old' periods back again.... I wish I didn't have to have them, but can't be helped!!! That's was one of the BEST PARTS of being pregnant (apart from having bubba in there of course ;)

Glad you're happy with the pram LittleToad.... Sounds great.....

DH is in doing some work on the floor. We did heaps of renovations whilst I was pregnant - and also finishing bits and pieces off now... We are COMPLETELY OVER IT... I hate doing anything like that now with DD... It's wierd how your whole interests change once a baby comes along. He finds it hard going as well - we'd prefer to do things with her, but has to be done..... We're thinking of selling - but these are necessary completions before that can happen...

Well, hope everyones feeling a little better than me today.
Sorry for the boring post - bit flat, but i'll bounce back soon enough...:smiliedance:

hey everyone
well i am so far behind in posts so i won't even try to reply now as Harps is wanting a feed soon.

we had his photo shoot for the catalogue today and he was so good!! they took three, the first is asleep in a grobag then awake in a diff grobag then playing with these toy keys. they gave me a gift voucher too, score. and the best bit - i will get a disc with all the photos!! so a whole heap of prof piccies for nuthin woo hooo! he looked absolutely gorgeous.

and now my sad for the day - Al's mum gave Harper custard last night! i am really angry and upset for 3 reasons - she KNOWS we want him to be exclusively breastmilk for as long as possible, two - i would have really loved for his first spoonful to come from his PARENTS and now that chance is gone :crying: and thirdly, she used a METAL spoon and i am not ok with that in my bubba's little gummy mouth. so i'm really upset about it and i dont know if i should say something? i should've said something at the time but i didnt and now i dn't know if i should make a big deal out of it?? any advice? should i say something??

any advice? should i say something??

oh my gosh!

firstly, do you think she is just trying to help, and is naive about things, or was she a sneaky MIL trying to be a trouble maker not giving a sh!t about your wants for your baby? (which i am sure isnt the case).

because her intentions would possibly dictate HOW i would respond, although i would DEFINITELY respond in some way.
she needs to be told. soon, before it looks too out of context to address the situation.

- although, be careful about my reponses today. i am one fiesty cranky cow today :)

Hi there

Well,Firsttime hope your afternoon/evening has improved. Mine's a little better. Just trying to get Ellery down now after a bottle.... DP's been helping - gave her a shower with DP, she loves it. Doesn't cry or anything - just saves getting the bath out, and having water everywhere!!:o

Hopefully she'll settled ok and we can have a breather. She only slept for 1 hour - then was up from about 4.pm through to now!!!:( Hoping that means a good nights sleep..

Firsttime - Sorry to hear about you feeling torn with work... i am sure I would be the same - and hope it goes well.... Not easy, but try and think of the positives.... But I feel for you too....;)

library-laksa - I would be annoyed as well - apart from the fact that you didn't have the chance to do it yourself! then to have a metal spoon used.. Not always easy approaching the subject - but I think you would feel annoyed even more if you didn't express how you feel. I hope it goes alright if/when you discuss it with your MIL.

NEMOMUM - well done with the dress.... I've only got the part of thinking about it.. ha ha... I'll keep plodding along though and be sure to let you know when I get to doing the actual task.....

Well, going to get a glass of wine now - try and get ellery to sleep, then have a chat with DP... Sometimes hard to have a decent discussion with him - as I am sure you can all relate with... Have a good night and weekend....

Sheree - Re M.... i would say why dont you put your pants and socks on and I'll put your top on! (and make sure she does her bit first!)

MY PRAM ARRIVED!!!!

Also got a $200 steelcraft highchair for free with it.

Woohoo! :smiliedance: Lucky you getting freebies! cant wait to see some pics.

Mel - I dont have my period back yet and i am only doing 1 feed per day. I do have an the Marena IUS (similar an IUD) and they do say that a lot of women dont get a proper period just a bit of spotting (which i have had but only for like 1 day)... Im hoping it never returns! :devil6:

Anna - Poor Sam. Hope he is feeling better soon... Not sure if you have found any yet but these have some farm animal on them http://www.thepartyparlour.com.au/products/?id=fc51e21bf48e4740b2863579d5f79c10&key=bptlWP http://www.thepartyparlour.com.au/products/?id=5a85b0e4ec4f945b0bb872833a9995c5&key=oM1oNj

Gaby - Aww i hope your day has gotten better. what a shame re missing swimming lessons... Will you be working every saturday?

Michaela - I agree with Gaby. Depending on what her intentions really depends on how i would react. I would be totally upset about not being the ones to give him his first taste of solids though thats for sure!! Maybe you just need to explain to her what you have told us... (how does Al feel about it all?)

Griff has been very unsettled all day today which made trying to work very hard but thankfully MIL was there and was more than happy to cuddle him. I really think his poor little gums are hurting from his teeth. (plus he is super tired). He is fast asleep now though, so is Amity so i think it is Mummy and Daddy's relaxation time now.:D

LL.. Smack her out@!!!!@

Firsttime.. You might actually enjoy the "freedom" having a day off from Alexander. I'm sure you'll be fine going to work once you've done your first day. Good luck and well done on getting the job too.

Sarah, make sure you show us pics of the dress you're making.

I'm in LOVE .. this pram is fantastic. (http://www.nurseryworld.com.au/images/stories/Emmaljunga/citycerox360-range.jpg)Super smooth over bumps, it's like the Aston Martin of prams. Lovely to steer and nice and solid too.

Annsam and mel, hope you are feeling a little better.

One of DP's friends came over tonight, I was in stitches laughing. Frog is always hilarious.

Carrie, is it yo having the peration for Carpel Tunnel? What do they do? I'm trying to convince Frog to let me have another rodent, but if I do I'll have to get the operaton before I get pregnant cause I had it so badly during pregnancy.

Had a lovely bubhuber come round today. Se's got 10 days left till her first jumps out. She thought onty was very well behaved. .. good to see Valium works so well.

i cant believe she would do that tho.. what do these grandparents think?! my mum is pretty bad.. i'd turn my back and the older 2 would have a large freddo at A's age hahahaha after i'd tried them with solids tho..

oh yeah while i remember.. kidsline has brought out a new range for babies.. leap froggie!(i think its called) anyway hollie its gorgeous!!

lana tried that one with M and she threw her jeans at me.:hair: (about time i could use that!) she's turning really feral. thing is we dont throw things so not sure where she's pulling that from! its all about attention for sure tho.. so im going to concentrate on giving her more one on one. must be hard on her. she's only 3 with 2 little sisters.. thats full on.

i LOVE your pics of the boys they are adorable - by the way are ryan's legs in plaster, do you mind me asking?

Thanks and I don't mind you asking. He was born with severe talipes (club feet) and was in plasters from day 7, has had a couple of operations and been in either plasters or special boots with a bar joining them right up until his 3rd birthday. Still possibly looking at another operation next year. I will try and post a pic later - can't seem to get onto photobucket at the moment. Scary stuff at first but you wouldn't know it to look at him now.

How much does Matthew weigh now? I remember you were just recently saying that he only has like one little roll so just curious lol. (is he a long bub?)

Lana - I will have to weigh him again. Haven't had any stats done since his 4mth vacc... oops!

Holy cr@p there's about 10 pages for me to catch up on since Wed! Serves me right for being too busy to get on lol.

Thurs we had Kindermusik then went to Carindale then Capalaba (shopping centres) & Ella was wonderful, so sound asleep in her pram for 2 hours at Carindale, overdue for a bottle at Capalaba but waited til we got home & still wasn't winging! Friday my best friend's mum & fiance came over (they are on hols from UK) for lunch as well as my mum, dad & aunty so it was a good day.

Ella & I had a sleep-in this morning - DH went to work, E woke at 6am & I changed & fed her & took her back to bed & I fell asleep before she did. We woke around 8 then went back to sleep after a phone call & I woke & got up at 10.45am & Ella slept til 11.30! And after her bottle & a small play she slept another hour or so!

Unfortunately car is f**ked again - gears this time. I am so depressed about it.

LL - My stretchies got better when using Johnsons Holiday Skin moisturiser regularly but since I stopped they are red again.

ANNA - Thanks for the sympathies hun! How are things on your end? The joke here is Ella is so tired going to bed at night she will go off without her dummy. When I dreamfeed her she doesn't need her dummy ... but in between when not feeding her she does. Grr...

SHEZI - No don't be silly of course it's ok too ban indoor play for the party - most ppl do! Oh & I would luv a reduction not implants lol.

SARAH - I bought one of those nappy covers/pilchers from BIG W and if you look you can't actually insert a clothy inside the mesh lining so they are just to go over sposies! They look so cute & show off E's rolls nicely :) They are so cheap so gonna buy more for summer!

LANA - I didn't know you could see posts on Post Reply page!

SHARON - Ella doesn't like rice cereal - will try again this week but she LUVS vegies! She has had baby vegies and also potato.

SUNFLOWER - Ella doesn't like teething rings lol - too cold perhaps? She eats everything else though! Hehe. Bonjela works for us though. Poor O!

FIRSTTIME - One of the girls from anti-natal classes had this on her bub which is why breastfeeding was such a pain, literally ... they snip it off and there is no feeling in the tip of the tongue so more of a fright than anything.

AD - Yay Antonio on rolling! Clever man!

JENNY - Haven't had surgery yet, haven't mde an appt to even see specialist yet - will have to wait for car to be fixed ... again! Thanks!

MEL - With any food you should breast or bottlefeed bubs first then give them recommended amount of cereal or whatever food you are trying. I make a small 60ml (min bottle with formula) and keep in fridge and use that for food (I have tried mashing banana with that too). Don't lessen the bottles yet as she is not 6 mths yet! Yay on Ellery rolling!

Got E's playmat off laybuy on Thurs & it's the first time she's liked her belly & has been moving in 180's and trying to wiggle forward! It's a v-tevh mat & it's awesome!

Ok i better go ... will read last 3 pages of posts but Ella is winging on my lap.

Night!

Shes had her turn at playing mum and she should know better:shame: . Worse than that, as you said, she knows she shouldn't have. If you dont tell her now, it wont be the last thing she way oversteps. Hollie - Nice Pram!! Yes that's me having the op - they just do keyhole & cut the bands (like rubberbands) to relieve the pressure on the tunnel then stitch it up again - my friend's mum & aunty whp were over yesterday both had had it. My friend's mum recovered well whereas my aunty had heaps of trouble.

You dont insert them into the mesh Im pretty sure you lay the cloth inside on top of the mesh part and then velcro it on

Sam and I went out for tea tonight and then headed to the city for a beer (my fave beer at my fave place) then went for a little walk. We are now home and he is asleep on the couch (as always)....

oh good elmo.

your evening sounds soooo nice. where did you eat?
who had the kids?

well i went to my new job for a few hours today, most upset i missed my little xander's swimming, Karl took him and they had a good time. my dad came over and my best friend popped in, then we did some grocery shopping, them my mum and her partner brought thai take away dinner.
now Karl is playing playstation and i've just finished expressing and off to bed shortly.

i've also been surfing the net for cute invites for the first birthday in Feb. I want something cute boy invites, as i thinkng the first birthday is the only one i'll get away with doing "baby" colours, like blue gingham. after that i'll have to have Thomas themes etc.

so how's that for a boring, daggy life!
but a life i love!

ETA - glad you clarified it was "their" poo - ha ha!

Just lost post but luckily a very short one (surprise surprise!).

Lost it cos I tried to look at your pics Sarah on photobucket & shut computer down again ... I did see the first pic of Iris with the butterfly though - very cute!

Had a sh!t night - Ella was awake all night (discovered this morning she has a cold - blocked up & a cough), I was awake all night, Dh meant to get up to her Sat nights & Sunday mornings however that hasnt happened for last couple of weeks & I am sick of it. He needs to pull his weight. Ffs I am over it & need a sleep & when he does get up to her in the morning he brings her into bed which is fine but hello you hold onto her! He gives her to me! And you all know you don't really sleep when holding bubs.

Lana glad you had a lovely dinner. Dave rather go out with his bro or stupid mates fishing & leave me at home.

Sorry i am obviously in a cr@ptacular mood aren't I?

I'll go now before I bring you all down with me ...

hi all! so many posts to catch up on...

Carrie oh you must be buggered. i hate when i'm meant to get a sleep-in and Al brings Harper into bed! tell your DH you're going to bed with harry potter at 5pm tonight and he is on duty.
re the metal spoons, i just want to use baby spoons for starters. she used a hard edged normal teaspoon.

i havent said anything yet but i think i will. Al is going all weakie about backing me up  such a mama's boy, doesnt want to say anything against her! he sh!ts me in that way... my mum rang yesterday and i told her, she said her MIL (my Nan) gave me cappuccino froth before i was on food too and mum was so shocked! she said she couldn't of cared less with my brother tho, poor 2nd child...

Lana our life is very boring too. i was most upset coz Iron Chef wasnt on last night, thats a bit sad!! where did you go out for dinner? i'm thinking of asking Al to take us to freo for lunch but he's a bit grumpy today so he might not want to...

Gaby re invites, do you know anyone who is good at photoshop? we have a mate who does brilliant invitations for a carton lol.

i am thinking of having Harper's naming ceremony on his 1st bday now. then we can have a big party (and not have to fork out $$ for two parties!) and it will be nice and hot. i thought it would be a nice way to celebrate his first year too, with a formal "naming". our wedding celebrant sent me some beautiful ceremonies. what do you all think?

ummmm...

oh we got new PETS! well, not real pets - BIRDS hehe. they are nice tho, two canaries (one red and one yellow) and two pretty little finches. the cats were hanging round the cage at first but they have accepted they can't get in. we just love animals but a puppy or another kitten is too much work! we also have a big fish tank and i really want to get a salt-water ones with seahorses. i love them so much, so pretty and relaxing to watch. expensive to set up tho...

ok well enough :ecomcity: from me, have a nice sunday, ladies.

(he always flirts with my mum! when me and my bro were at high school his mates used to come over for a swim hoping my mum was sun bathing  )

love the pics sarah! the butterflies are cute arent they!

carrie i hope your day gets better :hugs:

Lana sounds like a good night out!

yesterday was such a good day.. was going to go to M's daycare coz they were having an open day and meet up with a girl with 3 boys same ages as my girls(her oldest goes to daycare with M) anyway my sis rang and needed me to watch the boys coz she was helping with their new house(hubbys a plumber so they did that themselves).. so plans got changed.. friend came over with her boys at 9.. twins were dropped off at 11.. friend left at 12.. D had a nap.. mum came over and gave kids chocolate which sent the twins hyper! bathed all the monsters around 3.30 while A slept.. then chris's friends dropped in with their 2&1/2yr old for an hour so woke chris up(yes he came home from work and went to bed). then after they left chris went down and got hot chips.. i made pasta.. everyone ate then sis showed up at 5. and that was my day!
and i have to say it was so good. i love being busy & having structure. thinking of looking into a course to open a family daycare. by the time i do all the studying A will be older so it would work in well i reckon! anyway thats the thought for the moment.

i know all about mummies boys - it drives me insane too!
funny thing is, when i was pregnant i got all this courage and stood up to my MIL and dh actually thanked me and said he has been wanting to do that his whole life.
he still wouldnt stick up for us tho, still a scaredy cat, and now his family dont really talk to me, but oh well.....

think i might have to teach myself photoshop!

re your naming celebration / first birthday - brilliant idea - then you can put more funds and energy into one party! definetly good idea.
i havent thught of a naming ceremony. what is it for? is it in place of a christening?

Hi there

Well, sounds like most of us had a decent weekend....

CarrieB - sorry that Ella isn't sleeping. Hope last night was a little better..... Ellery's been sleeping at night ok, but during the day - it's been a battle.... Her teeth are really sore and I can honestly say - the past 2 days have been looooong and a bit of a drag.

I even had my Mum down, which is a great help (she lives 1.5 hours away - so we see her every 2-3 weeks). I was really looking forward to it, but Ellery's a bit 'clingy' and although she was pretty good for mum - she wouldn't settled for anyone but me......

Yesterday - she woke at 5.15am (usual time) and the only time she slept was in my arm (then I'd swap her to mum and trick her) and a whole 20 mins in the cot. By the end of yesterday I was near tears and just mentally worn out.... I hope today is a little better as DP is at work and I am here on my own.

I am feeling a bit down about it - but I think it's just a bad time... I worry that I have PND, but don't think so..... If I continue to feel really low about it all - I'll take myself off to the GP, but I don't really want to placed on medications...:gloomy:

I worry that I am not enjoying Ellery enough and am getting frustrated too quickly... Does anyone else feel like this some days - and then it gets better? I thought it was getting better, but Ellery started sleeping in the day for about 5 days running, now that's a distant memory?

Enough about me - I am just a little flat I guess....

NEMOSMUM - with regard to Iris and her reaction to M - well, if she doesn't see him all the time it's to be expected. I didn't know how Ellery would go with nanna, but she was ok - as I said earlier, she had moments of extreme sadness - and the only one that could calm her down (after alot of effort) was me.... Not even DP could. In ways it was terribly tiring, but it was also nice as a Mummy to know they're constantly searching for you... :)

Shezi - I just received my new Visa Card as well - thought I'd lost it (but i had signed it)... I found it, but if you can't -best to cancel it. You'd hate for it to get in the wrong hands. (It's annoying though, I've had to cancel mine before...) :banghead:

Library-Laksa - congratulations on the new birdie pets. We have a cockatiel (Grover) we've had him for over 3 years, and he doesn't particularly like Ellery (or DP for that matter - he was MY bird) I taught him to whistle very well - and when he feels like it, he can whistle the tune of the Adams Family and Down By the Riverside... No-one can believe it's the bird until they see/hear it in person... But, he's a little out of sorts with DD around... So, he comes out occassionally on his bird-gym.. The whistling doesn't annoy Ellery though because she heard it HEAPS whilst in the womb... ha ha... She also heard "Shutup Grover" alot- as when pregnant, he went bizarre as well - and would screech at the top of his voice... Don't like that part!!
Hope the birds give you, and the family, lots of joy... :smiliedance:

Well, sorry for the loooooong post.... Hope you're all well..... Going to get a coffee before Ellery wakes. I think she's in there talking to her animals right now - but i'll leave her until she really needs my attention!!!..

Hi girls,

Not been on this weekend. Sams been really sick. Day 6 of high temps. Took him to the dr yesterday and he has tonsillitis the poor poppet. Hopefully on the mend now but another day with no daycare.

Leah has started waking regularly for food. Actually, shes not hungry, she just wakes and wants attention. Not entirely sure what to do about it as if I leave her to cry a little she will wake Sam but I cant be getting up every 2 hrs to a 4.5 month old. Thats just silly.

Will get through as much as I can while the kidlets are asleep.

Carrie, metal is harsh on gums with no teeth. Save the metal spoons for when she has teeth.

Sarah, been wondering about Caithi myself. Might SMS her today. I did a big cleanout a few weeks ago. Always makes me want to cry when doing the first one. Gorgous photos. LOL:laughing: re the sleep. Poor mike. Leah does that at times too.

LL, my friend gave Sam some wine off her finger when he was like 4 months old. She was holding him right in front of me. I couldn't believe my eyes. Congrats on teh birds. Hope they sing pretty songs for you. And yes, first birthday combined sounds like a great idea.

Shezi, if thats what you want to do then go for it!

Mel, yes I have days like that too. Especially with a sick toddler and a baby who decides she would rather not sleep thanks all the same. .

Think thats all from me. Housework day today. Might attempt a walk later. Went for a walk yesterday with DH, the kids and the dog and these two dogs from down the road came running at mine wiht barred teeth! Not impressed. I have the worst luck with dogs dont I? LOL. At least the one from next door is gone. There are no emotocons to express how happy I am about that!

Have a great day girls.

Morning all

Boy busy weekend. Can't even remember what I did saturday lol. Oh that's right, I had bought Neverending Story 2 the other day as I remembered it to be good when I was younger and it was only $6. So I woke up at 11:30 on saturday morning and caught Dh watching it. He's a big kid. Then I went over to my youngest sister's place and packed all her things up as she is moving in with me and Dh. (instant live in nanny). Anyway later Dh come over too with his trailor to move all the heavy stuff for us. So didnt get to bed till 2am. Sunday I woke at 6 to feed Cooper and he fell back to sleep so I did the same. Woke at 1:30pm and Cooper was still asleep (very good boy) so I woke him for his bottle. He was really good for the rest of the day. Then I couldn't get to sleep tilll this moring around 3:30am. Woke up about 8am and Cooper has cold poor little mite.

Emma - Oh i hope you DH is ok! Is it something serious? for you all. bout the mouse scaring you! I sooo sympathise. Who would have thought that such a little creature could be so d@mn scary!

emma i hope your hubby is ok.
Well he found a lump, and he went to the doctors and he put dh on antibiotics incase it's just an infection and he is to go back in 5days if it's not better and so far it's not. We have also been looking on the net for other things it might be and another cause is heavy lifting and he lifts hot water systems everyday. So :fingerscrossed: it's just something minor iykwim.

Oh and the damn mouse...I'm sure it was in my bedside table last night I heard noises from in there.

i havent said anything yet but i think i will. Al is going all weakie about backing me up such a mama's boy, doesnt want to say anything against her! he sh!ts me in that way.
I would say something to her LL. My dh is the same as Al and is chicken when it comes to his mother. It's very annoying and he won't stand up for me.

Sarah lovely photos :D.

Hope everyone else to well :D .

Morning .... oh afternoon in 1 min!

Well I was having another sh!tty night as Ella kept screaming from about 5-6pm ish or just after that & she had been down for a nap but got her up & she wouldn't settle so we tried Bonjela & then Panadol as BJ didn't help it seems then she kept going so I gave her another bottle to settle her & the guts sculled the whole lot! (She had only had a bottle after our Sunday bath together around 4.30!). She went down but kept waking & I can tell she is in pain when she wakes as she isn't doing her whimpering like normal for a dummy, she full on screams.

I gave her a dreamfeed at 9.30pm (of course I had just fallen asleep or nearly there anyway) & she still kept waking so I gave up around 2am & brought her to bed with me where she kept tossing & turning & winging all night :( It kills my arm cos when we are both there I have her on my outside & lying on my arm so she doesn't go anywhere & it canes my CTS. My arm still is a bit sore. I got her up around 4.45am just before dh's alarm & changed & fed her & she went in her cot til 5.30am when she kept winging but I didn't get up & she fell asleep & did this 3 times before 6am! At 6 she was really upset so bought her roll pillows, blanket & washer to go under her head (so we don't get spew on our clean sheets!) & she must've gone to sleep but I beat her to it & when I woke at 8am she was playing with my hand & talking to it and stroking it lol. I managed to lie there for a while letting her play with my hand & giving her her dummy back cos I couldn't be stuffed getting up yet but gave up after 1/2 hour.

Been very housewifey today as have done cleaning, washing & OMG I AM ACTUALLY BAKING!!!! There's a first for everything lol ... I bought a jar of Dolmeo sauce for pasta bake & making that. I hope it turns out! It smells great!

Mel - I hope Ellery is being a good girl for her mummy today.

Sarah - I haven't looked at the first site yet but I have added to my fave's lol. I still have been good and never bought anything off the internet but I bet you change that! Hehe.

Don't feel guilty either - I love the fact I am Ella's fave - when I was in hospy & first came home I was depressed as she only associated me with boobies & wouldn't settle for me but would with DH. She is still fine with him but always checking for mummy ... Except now even with my parents who see her about once a week & she gets upset with my mum now & will cry if mum just talks to her! ... Still loves her grandpa though!

Emma - Hope your dh is okay. Funny you mentioned NES - SIL & I were talking about our fave old movies the other night at dinner & she said she wanted that but I have never seen it. Cooper is such a good boy!

Anna - Thanks for that re the metal spoon ... I have been using soft plastic but that's only cos I haven't opened the bunnykins set. The bunnykins spoon is a good size for bubs too but I will wait (prob not long now!) til her toothy pegs come through. If you lived in Brisbane we should leave the cranky girls with their dad's for a night & have a girls weekend away & spoil ourselves (& get some sleep)!

Car is not working ... what's new. I have Ella's clinic appt at 9.30 so thought I'd get bus - NO WAY - there are like 3 buses to catch!!! Too much effort I say. Even though I have been hanging out for this appt due to the sleeping probs I will have to cancel it. I will still go to MG though as one of the lovely girls lives near me & will take me (in one of my fave cars - Ford Territory [dh says no Fords though]!).

I hope our mate can fix tomorrow cos don't wanna miss Kindermusik & physio on Thursday as well.

E's awake so better feed her then pasta bake will be ready! Yum!

Have a good day :)

PS Ella is also not drinking full bottles, leaving as much as 100ml (out of a 180ml bottle). Could this be cos she has just had a massive growth spurt so now she's not as hungry?

Tried the rice cereal again yesterday & she loved it this time lol.

morning (well, arvo) ladies!

Carrie, sorry to hear you had another shocker night. i know what you mean about sore arms, i have RSI and when H sleeps on my arm, it bl00dy kills. it also gets really sore from bum patting lol...

Mel, i have those days too. sometimes i just wanna stay in bed or watch tele without a little person demanding my attention. i think its quite normal to feel that way some days. but if you feel like that MOST days then have a chat with your doc or clinic nurse :hugs:

Emma, i hope the antibiotics do the trick for your hubby.

Sheree - did you find the visa?

Anna, poor Sam. tonsilitis is horrible!

Sarah - i will have to look at your big love thread. i have to admit i looked at the website and they're mid-way through season 2 there so i did read a couple of things about what happens. i so want a "back story", i mean did Barb come from a "normal" family? i know Nicky didn't!!! it's so interesting. i am HOOKED.

well, Harps has been pretty good lately. he goes to sleep so quickly for Daddy lol. no milk smell i guess... anyway, he has been going to bed about 9 then has a feed at 1-2am (falls asleep on the boob in my bed) then again at 6-ish then he goes back to sleep!! what a star. he got up at 9.30 today, it was so nice staying in bed with the rain pouring outside.

got dinner with Al's parents tonight, am going to say something to his mum about the food. i've decided not to make a big deal about her giving him his first spoonful (even tho i am really upset about it, i don't see much point bringing it up now) but i WILL say "WE have decided we want Harper to be on breastmilk only for a couple more weeks". and i will say it when Al is there and if he doesnt back me up... well, no leaving-Perth-action for him!!

ok i gotta email my cousin in Canberra, just found out she is having another little girl in Nov. have a good day, lovely march mummies!

Sheree - Oh no! I hope you have found your visa card by now! Is it one of those new ones?

Anna - Poor Sam having tonsilitis.... seems to be the weather for it lately.

Scary stuff at first but you wouldn't know it to look at him now.

thanks for sharing with us Ryan&Matthewsmum.

LT - I think your idea of making the nappies as a side business is great. You have such great ones I know heaps of people who would love one! By the way love the black and white photos they are just gorgeous!

Well done on all you ladies who have started the bubs on solids. I think I am going to wait a bit longer as she's not that interesyed in food so I will wait until 6 months.

Shezi - no way is it rude to ban indoor play at a party esp when you have so much going on outdoors. I often have banned rooms etc when we have a heap of kids over so the house doesnt become a complete disaster.

Lana - just voted on your poll with a "Yes" after three breastfed babies I look at them sometimes and I should be part of a documentary whith those native women whos breasts are down to their knees!! LOL! Though I dont know if I could justify the money (a year of private school fees when I think of it) so would never probably do it.

Well done on all the rolly bubs. Poor Chloe is getting hardly any tummy time as I am so slack. I must start again so she can get moving.

Emma - hope every thing is ok with your dh:fingerscrossed:

Lana - love the idea of the baby carrier for the pool I will have to track it down for Chloe, Sarah if you have the link I would love to see it, Thanks

Firsttime I am also heading back to the gym but am doing the opposite of you and heading there at 7:30 - 8:00 at night after I have put all the kids to bed and got dh dinner. I love it as its quite so I get to plug in my headphones and just chill out for an hour or so.

LL - I would be annoyed with the custard as well. I would say something esp as I like to be in control of the food my girls have eaten in thier first year which was an issue for my MIL. But I found it was better to talk to her about it.

Sarah - love all the photos !!

Anna - hope sam feels better soon !!

Carrie - hope your nights improve

Well we had a big weekend out Sat and Sunday night. Though am paying for it today as I am tired and fluey. Went to the park with the girls and let them run around for a few hours so now they are relaxed lying on the couch waiting for Play school to start. Yahh for the park and play school!! Hi there. Well, today (so far) has been a little better. Ellery's not as demanding - still a little fullon, but compared to the last 3-4 days, its on the improve.... It is funny - I have workmen here and I thought she'd be out of sorts with the noise - BUT NO... She's fast asleep in her 'vibrating chair'..... Hasn't done that in days... I have just left her - I normally don't, i put her into the cot.. But I thinks she is better left where she's comfy at the moment.

Carrie - I hope Ella starts to settle a little more for you..... After the few days I've had - I give you a super big  ..... At least my nights have been pretty good, that's why i hate whinging as I know that I'm lucky in ways, compared to others....

Emma - I hope that your DH is on the improve soon...... I just hope that we here can give you a little positive energy. Hoping the antibiotics do the trick...

I have started Ellery on farex.... Seems to be going ok so far... She doesn't have much at all - probably 1/2 teaspoon (if that) but she seems to like it ok...

Can anyone tell me how many times I should be giving it to her a day??? Is it after every feed - or maybe just the morning???

Thanks

just a question to those who are feeding bubs cereal / solid food already, prior to bub being 6 months of age - can i ask if your baby was showing signs of being hungry or what it was that prompted you to feed already?

i am soon to start solids and was just wanting to know what prompted you all, and should i be watching for the same things?

thanks :)

Gaby - Watch for when Alexander starts showing interest in what you are eating and also when he starts getting extra hungry. It also helps if you leave starting solids until the tongue thrust reflex is gone.

I got a nice surprise this arvo, Sam came home early!! They all got rained off which is bad for his boss but great for my sanity lol!

thanks Elmo.
BTW when you say poor Griff's gums are raised, to you mean the whole gum, or just raised lumpy bits where there are teeth?

Elmopalooza
30-07-2007, 17:58
Gaby when the teeth are finally starting to push through, the entire gum around that particular tooth becomes all red and swollen. The gum around Griff's two bottom middle teeth are all red and swollen, poor little man.

Michaela - I finally went and bought a grobag egg. Im moving Griff into his own room in the next couple of days so i just plugged in his monitor and the egg.

Elmopalooza - I hope Griff settles down soon with the teeth.... Ellery seemed a bit better today - but she had about 2 areas that were really raised, and yesterday it wasn't the front two - but either side...:( I hope they don't continue to give him lots of trouble.....
Also, about the grobagg egg - I've had one for sometime now, and I was surprised at how warm Ellery's room is... The lowest (I've seen) it has gotten down to is 13 degrees, but our house is quite warm and that was only on one occassion when we got the chills here on the gold coast.... It's a great indicator of temp and I've found it useful.

Firsttime - with regard to starting farex/solids - I was just reading about other baby's her age - and watched her behaviour... She's always been quite unsettled - and I've noticed lately that she gets to the end of her bottle and doesn't seem FULL.... So, that's basically why i've started..... It is only the teeniest amount that she is taking - but I am hoping and thinking that it's helping her stay a little bit more settled... Not sure - but only trying.

Ellery was much better this afternoon - thankfully. I feel a little more human-like... We had a nice dinner as well, and got to eat it uninterrupted... (WOW)...

Well, off to get organised before sleep time.

Chat soon

Hi All,

Glad to hear that most of you had a good weekend.
Not much happening in our side here. B & I have been down with cold for the last few days, so I try to keep him indoor. Poor boy has a blocked nose at nights, heartbreaking to hear. Last night was not too bad though, so hope he's on the mend.

Sheree ~ FIL is one very proud pop. Especially because B is the first grandchild in the IL big family, he adores him so much.
I think the family day care idea is great! You're a natural mom, it will suit you very well.

Emma ~ I hope it's nothing serious with your DH.

Lana ~ interesting poll. Luckily my boobs don't change much since I have B, maybe because I only breastfeed for a while? They do go up one size though and bit softer. So, no implants or pull for me...at least for the moment :)
Would love to hear how Griff going with moving to his own room. We've been talking about moving B to his own room as well.

Thats a normal part of a 4-6mth olds development aswell. Putting things in the mouth is another way of checking them out. Leah slobbers on EVERYTHING.

Anna ~ thanks for the info. I think that's what happens as I notice that he's moving his tounge around the objects as well, must be feeling them out.

Poor Sam, tonsilitis is a nasty thing. It must been quite full-on for you at the moment, hope you could squeeze have some rest.

LL ~ re. custard, I won't be happy if it happens to me too. Good luck for your discussion with her, it's always a bit tricky with IL, isn't it?

Carrie ~ Sorry to hear about the tough days, you must be really flat-out. Hope things improve soon. I admire you still able to bake

BtW, I've been meaning to ask you for quite sometime but keep forgetting about it somehow, how is Kindermusik? Would you recommend it? I find myself start running out of idea to entertain B, so thinking about joining Kindermusik/Gymbaroo/etc.

Sarah ~ please don't feel guilty. I love it too when B resettles / calms straight away when I enter the room and sing his sleep song. I caught DH sang the same song few times (when he's very desperate to settle B), but not to the same effect  I love the kids name plaques, you're very creative.

Mel ~ I hear you :hugs: There are days when I feel overwhelmed too, especially when not enough sleep. Do talk to your GP though when you feel it constantly. Please take care.

Gotta go. B's been good playing by himself with his musical gym while I write this, but he's calling me now. Have a great day, Ladies.

Oh Sarah, just read about O's 8 o'clock wake-up...well done Orlando!

Hi girls

Had MG today & I got a lift cos my car is at Dave's mate's dad's shop being fixed - the clutch is gone & in pieces, needs a new water pump & fanbelt too so without a car for a few days ... at least I got a ride in my car of the mo - Ford Territory! Bit of an effort for a short @r$e like me to get in lol.

Just joined facebook & found heaps of ppl from school!! One of my old mates is in Singapore, it's so weird. And my computer seems to work really well with Facebook whereas the Windows live thing sucked & kept stuffing it.

Firsttime - Ella had been interested in food for ages - watching it, licking her lips, opening her mouth, reaching for food on Mason's high chair.

Lana - Hope Griff is ok - Ella has the same thing with the gums. And one tooth keeps starting to pop up then disappears. Must be so painful hey.

Jenny - I would sooo recommend Kindermusik if you can part with the $. It is pricy but it can be justified lol. It goes for 9 weeks at a time, you get a pack with a home journal, story book, cd (28 tracks!) and 2 fold out picture card thingies (Ella has one around her change table & one on the floor when she plays & she loves looking at them & pulling on them). Ella enjoys it, I love it & it is good cos i don't know what you do but I hardly ever get down & play with Ella so it is great for both of you. I will not be doing next term as she starts swimming in Oct (must confirm!) so I am thinking of doing every second term. Good luck.

Yay so glad Aleisha won BB!!!!

Gtg do my facebook thingy. If anyone wants to be 'friends' pm me your email address or I can pm you the link.

Oh Lana btw I figured out our BH profile & now have frangipanis as my background!

just a quickie from me.. M didnt go to kindy today.. we got there and i turned around to undo her seatbelt and she said 'im itchy' and was stratching at her legs.. she was covered in bites.. we went in and i showed the owner and she was shocked.. coz as we were looking at her they were multiplying.. it was scary! anyway off to the drs we went. by the time she was seen she was covered from her toes to her ears.
dr said she had an allergic reaction but i cant work out what from! its doing my head in. she hasnt been in contact with anything out of the ordinary and she ate her usual breaky. she's ok now tho.. apart from being annoyed that she missed out on kindy today! hehe. she loves that place!

lana i hope griff's teeth com through soon!

anna.. hows sam going?

did anyone sms caithi?? i hope she's ok!

girls with the grobags do you find that bubs arms get cold?? i've been umming and arring over them for ages!

didnt end up finding my bankcard.. so i need to cancel it today.. going to take out the money i need for a week or so.. is that usually how long it takes for a new card to come out??

ok so i am a big chicken, i didnt talk to MIL about the custard. yeh, i'm a wuss... :o

Sheree - Harper's hands are sometimes cold but not his arms. he just wears a singlet or bodysuit then a wondersuit or other one-piece.
i hope M is ok, are they sure its an allergy thing? maybe it was a plant??
i hope everything is ok with Caithi. i think her real life is more important than her online one atm.

Carrie the kindermusik sounds good, i would like to take H to something like that but i am too lazy in the cold weather lol. i DO spend lots of time playing with him on his mat tho. trying to get him to roll...
facebook - my sil is always telling me about it, might have to check it out. like i don't spend enough time on the laptop hehe

 Harps just did a bunch of farts and a big poo and Al's gotta clean it up HAHA. tho i have 8 days of doing all the nappies starting tomorrow...

Jenny - when H had a really blocked nose, we put pillows under the head end of his cot mattress to tilt it, so the snot didnt run down his throat at night and make him wake up all blocked. also the Fess drops and "snot-sucker" work well for us. gross but it helps him!

and where is miss mod Gin? rejecting us now?

Hi Girls,

Have managed to copy up the piccy of Ryan's feet when he was born....

Our bent footed babe....(Ryan at birth, June 03) (http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s225/sne-24/Ryan%20Jacob/Feet-day1.jpg)

Was quite a surprise but you wouldn't know to look at him now. Just a slight "banana" shape that may need correcting. He walks and runs around just like normal.

Anyway - Matthew is starting to sleep a bit better now that I am being stricter with him on a 4-hr routine. Days are great and nights he is sleeping after the dream feed right thru to 4:30ish. THen on and off till 6:30 or 7.

Hope all the bubs giving trouble start behaving themselves soon....

Cheers all, gotta go as DH wants the machine.

fbow.. thats hilarious! i can just imagine walking in and seeing bare bum baby on a bean bag haha! im sure Will loved it!

who else are we missing?? i think i'll sms scoobs tomorrow and check in with her and chelsea.

michaela im wondering if something has got in the car.. seemed that the flare up was when she was in there.. will find out for sure next time we go out i guess!
re not mentioning the custard/spoon.. dont worry i wouldve been the same!

thanx for sharing the pic sharon! do they know if it is painful for bub? i guess it wouldnt be hence why it cant just be 'straightened'. do you know what actually causes it? just positioning in the womb or is it a way bones grow? (hope you dont mind my 20q's hehe)

Sheree - I dont find that Griff gets cold. Sometimes his little hands will be a bit cold but mine get like that too. I dress him in a long sleeved, short legged all-in-one and a long sleeved top then his grobag and he is fine.

I hope M's spots have disappeared. I wonder what it could have been...

Sharon - Wow Matthew is nice and slender hey! (Griff is a lil porker! ) Im like Sheree and have heaps of questions re Ryan's clubbed feet.... Were they painful for him? what causes it to happen?

Carrie - Lol well you are better than me!! I got my friend to do mine for me!

Hi Everyone

Well, I wasn't on the puter yesterday as had a busy one. Went to the chiro and felt pretty good afterward. Then went to the clinic nurse (she's just wonderful) and chatted to her about being a bit down (and up) lately... It seems like in an instant, i'll think of something and feel terribly sad and lonely - then I'll all of a sudden feel bright again... Very strange - but I said that I thought of going to the GP, and she said that it wouldn't hurt. I am a regular at Pam (Nurse) as we actually had her come to our house on a visit when Ellery was REALLY BAD with reflux (and the Dr. said there was no such thing... HHMMM?) so, that's how i got to know her. She was great then and continues to be. Anyway - I tried to get an appoint. and can't get into my usual GP till Friday. I think it's due to the horrible flu that's going around... I'd Prefer to go without Ellery - so am going to try and change the appoint. to the afternoon when DP gets home..... Ellery goes everywhere with me - and the reason for not wanting to take her is that there are so many bugs around - I'd hate for her to pick one up. Will let you know how I go.

Sharon - I saw the picture of little Ryan... I had a cousin (a few years ago now) that had the same (or similar) condition... She's now 18 and you wouldn't know any different. I hope he continues to improve just like she did...

Also - the weights of the baby's make me feel good. Ellery was weighed yesterday and she's 7.5kg.... She's a healthy, chubby bubby - but that's a good thing..... Glad that Matthew is growing well too!

Sheree - hope that M is ok after the allergy scare.... I know that some things make me itch - but not blotchy.... It is strange things that make my hands 'blowup' and it's particular plastic bags (that you get from some stores!) I hope that Ellery doesn't have the same thing, but it's always hard to know what is creating the allergy. Hope you can solve it before it occurs again.....

Ellery's teeth seem to be up and down. She was pretty good most of the day - then got rather fed up around 5pm last night - and it was super grouchy time!
I can see them at the back, so their definately working upward.
I went to K-Mart and got her a vibrating chair yesterday. A friend loaned me one (as I had a trendy rocker, which she hates) and she just loves it... So, after a few weeks of testing it out - I decided we should get out own.... I put it together myself (amazing - like putting an IKEA purchase together......) I got there, but DP just checked the screws etc.. (also that I had it together right) and I'd done not a bad job... ha ha.....

Hope you all have a good day and will be sure to write again soon.

Carrie :fingerscrossed: I hope Ella starts sleeping better for you soon!! does Dh help out at all??

Mel when Owen's teeth were coming through he would be more grumpy in the arvo's, they must be fed up with them by then!

Shezi I haven't had Owen weighed lately but he seems to have less rolls I think he has just slimmed down and gotten taller. I wouldn't worry about it!

Owen has started sleeping through again :smiliedance: he's teeth aren't bothering him anymore he ended up getting 3 they are so tiny! I'm not looking forward to the next time they decide to start moving around!!

Proud moment.... Owen sat up all by himself for 10 minutes yesterday!!!:yelclap:
He loves his food I give him rice cereal and apple once a day and he gobbles it down so fast he cries when it's all finished, I'm gonna try him on some pumpkin today.

Sunflower - how exciting, Owen's sitting up...! WOW... Clever boy.... Ellery's rolled a few times, but I think she just gets lazy and can't be bothered!!!! I've been giving her some farex, which she seems to like..... She slept through until 7.15am this morning! She grizzled around 5.15am - and I tidied up her bedclothes etc... and put her dummy in.. I was wide awake for 2 hours until she was ready.... It was good though so I am thinking her teeth aren't too bad this morning..... She's so much happier this morning too.... I thought she'd be full on as she went to bed after bottle at 7pm - so a 12 hour sleep is pretty good!

Hi eveyrone

Yay for Owen sitting up! That is ages! Ella likes to sit up but lasts no where near that long, clever boy!

Lana it took me a while but eventually figured it out lol. I'll do more on my mum & dad's computer next time I'm there as it's sh!t doing anything on my slow old computer with dial up internet!

Thinking about getting that optus deal with the $69 per month for broadband & home phone as we are with optus for both & atm phone bills have gone up with the dial up as on here all the time to around $60 and it's $34.95 every 45 days for unlimited hours & unlimited downloads prepaid internet. Only thing is it'll be a 24 mth contract thingy i presume & we are on a 12 mth lease & we will prob stay here but what if we change out minds?

What are your opinions?

Have to get bus to Kindermusik tomoz. At least it's only 1 now lets hope i get the right bus & am on the right side of the road!

Morning yummies

Dh surprised me by turning up in the car yesterday afternoon! I can't believe how quick that was considering he had to order parts from outside of Brisbane. I have to get money out & go & pay him cash today. I hope Dh did tell/ask him about paying over 2 weeks though as we still need to pay rent & desparate grocery shop, which I will try & write a list for & stick to!

I had to get up a few times to Ella after going to bed however I fed her at 10pm then the next time she woke wasn't until 3am! Yay. But then I had to get up a few times for her dummy so I gave up, got her up & changed & fed her & went back to bed around 4.10am. I was just gonna stay up cos Dh had set the alarm for 4.40am instead of 5am since he had to put the carseat in etc. We came home & I put Ella in her cot & I went into bed but she was talking to herself then started winging so I decided to get her up then (6.30am) to feed & change her cos then the next one would be around 9.30 & Kindermusik (KM) is on at 11am (we leave around 10.30/10.40am) so she would be less spewy than normal because it usually works out she needs a feed between 10 & 10.30am. However I don't know if she'll last til 9.30 as she left 120ml again! She just wants to eat her fingers lol. She has gone from skulling a whole bottle every 2 hours to going back to 3 hours & drinking 80-100ml. She def had a growth spurt! I am sure she is 8kg (or over!) now but I don't get her weighed until our new appt at the health clinic next Friday so I don't wanna just turn her carseat around just in case.

I was complaining this morning I was tired as I have basically been awake since 3am (didn't go back to sleep between 4 & when alarm went off) and Dave said well don't have the car! I am like duh we have KM & I am so not catching a bus. He is like why not?? Um hello ... I said it is too much of an effort & it'd be hard with the pram ... so what does he say? He says well don't take the pram!! I said I am not walking ... 630m to the bus stop, on the bus, & walking another 400m carrying Ella, nappy bag & a blanket or whatever else! He said he would so I said fine, do that, take the day off & friggin do that! Lol.

Ella has caught my niece's cough. I was worried last night as she was coughing in her sleep before I went to bed & I don't know whether to take her to the dr or not because if it were me I wouldn't bother but because she's a baby I wasn't sure, especially since my niece has had this cough for a while. Anyway I spoke to mum who said she looked at vapourisers (Vix ones) and they are only $45 where I was udner the impression they were $80-$100 so I might get one next week or something. Anyway mum said they used to use an electric frypan with water & vix in our room & close the doors, it does the same thing. But we don't have vix or anything so she said what dad used to do with my croope attacks during the night was take me into the bathroom & close the door & run the hot water in the shower to create the steam & it would soothe it. I had croope all the time. I didn't wake up to E coughing though so I think she must've been ok & I will get some Vix and keep an eye on it for now.

I have been uploading photos on my facebook site because photobucket seems to keep f**king up my computer. Here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?pwstdfy=864335439468975e55b622e5d918d3f3

SHEZI - Yay A for rolling! Clever girl! I know what you mean about being buggerd til around 7am then you just seem to get over it. Do you find once they're in bed is when it kicks in again & you can hardly move? That's what happens to me. Maybe i'm weird lol. I mix baby cereal with formula. I make a small bottle (60ml, 1 scoop) and put left over i nfridge. I have made her mashed banana with that too. Ella prefers vegies to rice cereal lol. I am hoping if I do shopping today there are actually pumpkins & big ice cube trays as there were neither last time. I might buy her jarred apple too. Poor M too!

MEL - Congrats on Ellery's big sleeps!

LANA - Hope Caithi is ok, let us know if you hear anything.

I think it's so lovely that we have basically an instant cyber mother's group who we can lean on for support & who care enough about each other to be worried & contact by text or whatever when we haven't been on for a while. You girls are just such a lovely group it's the best thing I ever did finding you all ... I'll stop getting mushy now lol.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all

Sounds like some of us had a yukko night with sick little ones!! I wasn't sure how Ellery would go after her super duper sleeps during yesterday... She didn't settle as quickly - but I fed her bottle around 6.30pm - she fell asleep straight away... Then at 7.45pm - woke full of beans..... I though "OH NO"... So, gave her some farex (which I mix with cooled boiled water)... After 15 mins of cranky pants - she went to sleep.... So - we were in bed at 9pm... She stirred at 4am - I went in, fixed her bed and stuff up - put dummy in (took 3 goes) but I managed to go back to sleep again. (I usually can't - morning person I am!) She woke at 5.30am - the bottle and farex...

She's now sleeping next to me (YEAH)... I have a Beema pram with the basinnet insert - she's always been in that, but i got industrious this morning and tried her in the 3 wheeler way... She seems to like it!! (which is good as she's use to looking at me).... She can still fit in the basinnet component - but won't be long until that impossible.... At least she's sleeping now... (YEAH)

CARRIE - I hope that Ella settles a bit for you today - and especially tonight... You must be dead tired (I would be shocking!).... But, when I've had restless nights - MUMMY mode does kick in around 7am - then the wind up doll dies about 7pm..... I can understand you being upset with DH's comments and suggestions with regard to going on the bus etc.... I hope he comes to understand just how hard it all is for you.....

With regard to the vapourizer - I have one (had it for myself) and when Ellery had a yukky nose and cough about 3 weeks ago, it did seem to help. Pam (nurse) said about baby vicks too, put it on her singlet (in between the clothes, not straight on skin!) and also, put it with water in the steamer/vapourizer. I didn't know if it was helping alot - but when i didn't use it, she was definately more gunked up.
I suffered badly with croope as a child - so i am hoping Ellery doesn't. My Dad (and Mum) would turn the shower on and steam up the bathroom (couldn't afford fancy stuff), and Mum always said that helped ALOT.... So, you can give that a try too!

Shezi - we've just started giving Ellery a bath in the big one too! I am a big bath girl - but I don't get the time often now, but with Ellery in there too - I get to enjoy her as well.... She's seems to like it and can kick around alot. I need Bryan there though - couldn't do it on my own (whilst in there)... I've had a bad wrist for sometime - and the weight of getting out of the bath (and not slipping) really kills it.. It's getting better, but sometimes it still sends sharp pains up my arm.... But, in ways it's easier in the big bath - plus, Bryan is able to spend some quality time with Ellery.

Question: Do all your bubba's HATE getting dressed. Night is the worst for us - after a bath/shower... She's a shocker... And singlets - well, their a drama whatever time of day????

Well, i hope we all have a good day. I don't have any major plans - but if Ellery has a day like yesterday, I'll be one happy MUM...:smiliedance:

mel.. no i have no probs dressing A at all.. and she's changed quite a bit as soon as drool gets through her top it has to be changed coz of her eczema. Ellery sounds alot like my 3yr old  she would be more than happy to run around naked!!
this morning she has been in her room for nearly an hour coz she wont put anything more than a tiny hi5 dress on. she's gotten away with it for too long and im sticking to my guns today.. we dont have to be anywhere so she's in there till she gets dressed.. she's taken to sitting on her bed screaming 'nanny'.
not sure what you can do with ellery apart from dressing her really quick! hehe

aww is E still in a bassinet in the pram! how cute. i love the bassinet parts. very nice. all cosy!

last night was much better.. altho i kept falling asleep while feeding A.. i always stress about that.. much easier to put her back in the portacot.. i think A likes my bed tho.. nice and warm.

carrie thats great news about getting the car back so fast! always a worry about the money tho hey. guys never think about that! they just expect us to work it all out.

M's out. she finally put a jacket on. HOORAY!

gotta go.. kids are being feral..

My Poor little man has been screaming all morning! I have just managed to get him to sleep thank god. I have no idea what is wrong with him though, im guessing its either his tummy or his teeth again. Gave him some Panadol because his cry was such a "Im in pain" one.

Amity is in her room too (meant to be sleeping) so hopefully i will get a little nap in too.

I have sewn all the bits of Griff's teddy together and i have stuffed the body and arms. I just need to stuff the legs and head BUT im not sure if there is a particular way i have to sew the legs to the body... Hmmm....

Sheree - M is a determined little mite isnt she lol! Good on ya for sticking to your guns though!

Sarah - Ooh new season!! Im gonna check it out.

Carrie - How was Kindermusic today?

Mel - Yep! Griff hates getting dressed! He doesnt mind the all-in-one but hates having to wear pants! He did a massive poo yesterday that went all up his back and on his clothes so i had to completely undress him to wipe it all off and he thought that was great! He kept rolling away from me the cheeky little bugger!

SHEZI - sounds like the 'getting dressed' for 'M' is a major dilemma!! ha ha... Good for you being able to hold your guns - and then, she did finally appear all dressed for the day.... Does that mean my lovely little Miss Ellery is going to take after your 'M'.... HHMMMM - could be scary.... lol

Elmopalooza - You poor thing with regard to Griff - and moreso, poor Griffin.....:( I hope he has a good sleep and is a little cheerier once up again..... I had that over the weekend - very tiring and worrying - well, I know that I was like that... She's been decent today (lol). We went for a loooong walk, and I changed her pram - which she liked.... I got a coffee then pottered back home.... She was tired and grumpy - had bottle, fell asleep right near the end, so no farex - but she's sleeping soundly. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad Ellery isn't the only one that HATES getting dressed. Gee's it can be stressful... Singlets are just the worst.....

Sounds like you're getting on with the teddy bear.... I am sure you'll be so excited when its finished....

Not much else happening here. It's really smoky and hazy on the coast today. Bush fires up in the hinterland I think....

I have a sore throat - but only on 1 side... Cross fingers that I am not getting that dreaded flu - it's shocking....

Mel - Re the singlets, I hope this doesnt come across the wrong way but how do you put them on?? One thing with babies is that they HATE anything covering their face and going over their heads. I bunch it all up in my hands and put it over the crown of his head first (the back top bit - where you would have a high pony tail) then lay his head back on the floor/mat. Then i pull the front of the singlet down and put his arms through. He doesnt seem to mind that so maybe Ellery might prefer it that way too (if you arent already doing it like that that is!)

Hi Lana
I'm always ready for suggestions - so don't worry that I'll take it the wrong way... :)
As for the singlets - yeah, that's how I do it... I even stretch is as far open as I can - and I've gone up a size (0) to make it even easier, and she's still an absolute "BARRY CROCKER".. ha ha... I don't sit her up though - so I'll give that a try tonight, sometimes (when DP and I are at home together) it is less traumatic puttin her clothes on holding her etc... so could be the same with the singgie.....
Will let you know how it goes.

Thanks :)

OK - i've become organised and finally have a slide show on line of the family.

Could be a bit boring - but if you're interested to see who I am - have a peek.....

Let me know if it doesn't work...

arvo ladies
having a break from housework... i wrote up a HUGE list of cleaning, paperwork, bits'n'pieces that i need to get done. i used to be Miss Organisation before i had Harper but now i would rather read him a book than fill in a medicare form lol...

Mel - Harper HATES getting dressed. i bring him out in front of the heater with toys and sing songs to him but he always whinges when i put singlets and tops on him. thats why he always wears a bib - so i don't have to change his top too often!!

Lana - oh poor Griff! i hope the panadol makes him feel better.

WELL my MIL dropped in today so i went and washed my hair. when i came out, she said "i'm sure he would have had some rice cereal if i could find it" !!!!!!!! i knew there was a reason i hid it up the back of the pantry (will put it in my bedroom next time she babysits lol) i said AGAIN "we're not giving him solids for a couple more weeks". i swear she just doesnt listen :banghead: i don't want to have to be rude but if she gives him food without me approving, oh man....

ok 3pm lunch again, Harps been grumpy today and finally asleep...

sarah yep i was emailed about PP. LOVE the girls stuff.. hopefully my tax money comes next week :D did you see the pink girls dress (little girls 1-4) it had a belt & white dots.. im after that for D!! with the little leggings!! hehe. and the bubby stuff.. well i wont even bother writing it all down :D

Mel you and Ellery are both gorgeous! love the pics!(only saw the first few coz computer is running slow) check out her hair! hehe. i used to mohawk M's coz she was a blonde bub and slept on her side so they were very short but she had a mullet lol. so i mohawked my little girl. sounds cruel now actually!

lana yes if i had to describe M in one word.. determined is it! i just cant have D watching thinking 'ah thats what i have to do'.. coz lately she's turning feral too! has massive tantrums.. its actually more funny than anything coz she looks too little to be getting sh!tty!!

AD my computer is running really slow i cant get into your picks.. will try again later. i wanna see your little man!

lana i hope griff is feeling better now.. re his poo ta for that i was eating chocolate cake & icecream while reading.. lmao.

Hey thanks SHEZI for the compliments. I use to brush Ellery's hair up for going out - but that mass of hair has lessened..... :(

It's a little lighter now and all a bit mangy at the back. ha ha.. Poor little darlin'..... She had a major comb over at the front - so I trimmed it... it looked completely ridiculous and I couldn't stand it anymore - so its now more in a style cut... ha ha ha ......

Can you believe it - she's still asleep!!!!:smiliedance:
She has stirred a couple of times - but get Mr. DUMMY back in straight away and she's in slumber land....

any other bubs NOT rolling yet?
Harps is 5mo next week, should i be worried that he isnt rolling?
any tips on "encouraging" him? we do tummy time every day...

melannh

Please dont worry about it.. Easier said than done though, I know.

Ellery rolled 3 times last week, I think she's now decided it takes way too much effort... Doesn't even look like she wants to..... We do tummy time also - I think it's just general encouragement... I bet Harper will be the first to crawl or walk...

Hey chickies

Busy day today with KM then we went to shops with plan to do groceries but after I got trolley I went to change & feed Ella then thought I'd get myself something to eat as well (Macca's - naughty me!) & I ran into a friend from MG asking if I was going to one of the other girl's house afterwards - I had cancelled this as I had E's physio booked but had to cancel as didn't think I would have car so I said bugger the groceries & went there instead before going to the garage to pay half for the car then get David.

Milestone at KM today - Ella was on her tummy & the lady was explaining somehting but I stopped listening because Ella rolled to her back on her own with no bribery! Yay! Then she did it again & I burst out with "OMG Ella just rolled on her own!! That's the first time!". After that Ella was tired & sooking lol, so much effort!

MEL - Thanks for the info about the vicks on the singlet! As it happens I forgot to tell DH to get it tonight though so it'll have to wait until the weekend ... unless the cough gets bad & I will go straight out to do something about it. She has coughed about 3 times today so not much ... yet.

With the changing, Ella doesn't mind much at all, she talks to the toys on the changetable and pictures around it. She has started having a winge when I put her arms through a singlet, top, wondersuit whatever but that's a new thing & it's not crying. She will cry after a bath but not til I am putting a wondersuit or similar on her because she is so tired & is ready for a bottle & bed. Ella is funny when taking clothes off over her head, she closes her eyes, smiles & opens her mouth wide! So cute. I trick her, I lift it, she does her face then I put it back down. Lol.

I am gonna look at your slideshow after this. I love anyone & everyone's photos!

SHEZI - Oh dear I hope M ended up getting dressed! Although that would've been perfect for here today - 26 degrees! Oh I just realised you have to join the site (free) to view anyone else's. Sorry!

LANA - Poor Griff! Hope he feels better real soon xoxo KM was fun & we were late again! Ella didn't go back to sleep this morning until 10.30 and it starts at 11, when she woke. Someone else was the same though. But here's another first - ELLA DIDN'T SPEW TODAY AT KM!!! Her feeds worked out at 6.30, 9.30, 12.30! (KM is 11-12). Will aim for that every week as I usually feed her at 10.15-10.30 then go.

LL - OMG your MIL is a complete idiot! I hope you put her in her place! With the rolling, the nurse showed us at 3 mth group to, if they are on their back, lift the arm on the side you want them to roll so they don't roll onto it, so straight up basically but on the floor iykwim, then just gently put their back leg over their other one, see what they do, then if they don't do anything, continue gently pushing the top of the leg/bum over to the floor & he will go on his tummy. More likely to roll tummy to back though. I always help her roll back to tummy. The nurse said they have to roll before they sit (as I said Ella prefers to sit) but Ella sat up for about 5 mins on her own first ROFL. She likes to sit (& spew!) and the physio said this is good as no pressure on flat head anyway.

AD - Cute photo! They are all growing so quick! MG girls reckon Ella's longer again since Tuesday! I will look at the others in a sec.

Hope you all have a good night.
xo

OMG! Griffin woke from his nap and started the whole screaming process again! I have no bloody idea what is wrong with him! I cant put him down or he will scream even more. Its not his tummy and his gums arent really swollen or red today so it cant be those either. His cry is such a painful one though so im thinking maybe he has an ear infection as they are really painful. He is asleep again now because he is wearing himself out with all the crying. It got so bad that i ended up ringing my mum in tears just for a bit of support because Sam is at work. :crying:

Lana - poor bubba! and poor mummy, its such an awful feeling to see them in pain and not be able to fix it. i hope he gets a decent sleep and wakes up feeling better.

Harper's not himself today either, very grizzly and wanting to be constantly held. maybe his teeth, he is drooling like crazy and his gums are pretty red and lumpy. i gave him some bonjela then panadol and he slept the whole time i was at my exercise class.

AD - gorgeous piccies, love his hair!

Carrie - i finally got the new HP! but i am halfway through another book then two more in the pile so dunno when i'll get to it!! i used to read 1-2 books a week pre-baby but now its maybe 20mins at night.

well tomorrow i'm taking my cousin out for a belated bday lunch - mexican YUMMM! she has 4 kids but only the youngest (10mo) will be with us... then i've got one of the girls i used to work with coming for dinner. she is nearly 5mo preg and just found out its a little girl. will be good to see her. its funny not seeing people i used to spend all day every day with!!

its Al's bday on sunday, he'll be at work til wed anyway but i need pressie ideas! he wants a big mortar&pestle but when i mentioned that to his mum, she offered to swap her big one for our little one. i got him a book from Harps called "kisses for daddy" for them to read together. any ideas??? he likes fishing, cooking, animals, gardening... he wants to do his skippers ticket so i am organising that but BORRRRRR-ING! i wanna get him something little but nice from me. maybe cuff links - the boy version of jewellery lol...
he won't be home for fathers day either :(

anyway i am just :ecomcity: now, obvious that Al isnt home and i am bored. H is just chillin on the sofa playing with his dummy. i swear thats his fave toy lol

ok night ladies...

Hi Ladies,
It's already Thursday night now, where have this week gone?

B & I are recovering very well so we start to get busy again today. Went to the gym first thing in the morning, did some workout on the treadmill and bike, then went for a oxygeno class (similar to pilates). MG after that, than did some shopping for B's solids - got a food processor on a sale, sippy cup and several small containers.

Carrie ~ thanks for the info on Kindermusik, it sounds lovely. You're right it's pricey though. I'm currently living off maternity payment and saving interest (determined not to depend on DH financially), so maybe I'll earmark it for after I get my bonus next month. Re. swimming, one of the girls in MG started swimming lesson today and she said it's really good. The class was held on a 34C pool especially for bubs, and they used toys, mats and sang songs.

Yay for the car! :yelclap: You must be really happy to have it fixed. No good about cough, hope E kicks it soon. And how exciting E rolling!

Sheree ~ it must be a scare re. M rash, especially how fast it happened. Have you found out what she's alergic to?
Re. grobag, B wears long sleeve romper to sleep, so his arms are warm. His hands are sometime cold though.

And Yay for A rolling! Also for M going to kindy, she's a big girl now. Hope you'll have a good rest tonight, you so deserve it.

LL ~ that's awful re. MIL. I think it's a good idea to talk to her about your decision of delaying solids, cause otherwise she'll think you guys are starting it now.

Thanks for the blocked nose tips...love the term 'snot-sucker'

R&M Mum ~ Good to hear that Ryan's feet are all well now. He must be a trooper! Glad to hear that Matthew sleep is better now.

FBOW ~ Glad to hear that Will is taking solids well. Cute bum on bean bag must look so cute! :)

Sunflower ~ Yay for Owen's sitting and 10 mins, that's ages!

Mel ~ lucky you to have such a great MCN. Hope you feel much better now.

B is pretty good with dressing. He hates it when he was very young, but thankfully he's ok now. Oh, just watched the slideshow, you have such a beautiful family.

Lana ~ hope Griffin is ok, it's always hard when bub is in pain. Well done on the bear, post a pic to show us when it's done.

AD ~ A has such beautiful eyes. What colour are they, blue or grey?

Sarah ~ how are you? Naughty girl, you're always tempting me with more cute stuffs! :)

Hope Caithi is ok. And LT, where are you?

Feel a bit tired now, so better catch some shut eye before B wakes-up for night feed. Good night Ladies.

SHE said "ill go in and get her" I said "No thats ok, ill just go grab the prom and take her for a walk, she will be fine. No need." I walk back in and there is nai sitting on her lap... Urghhhhhhh Was I speaking spanish??

Not been on this weekend. Sams been really sick. Day 6 of high temps. Took him to the dr yesterday and he has tonsillitis the poor poppet.

Hope everything is ok now babe!

Started Nai on evening only ( started morning and evening today ) as my bobs just didnt satisfy her and she looooooooves it lol.I say go with what your gut / mw says:thumbsup:

what is everyone mixing bubs rice cereal with? breast milk/formula or cooled boiled water? im thinking of skipping the rice cereal & going straight to vegies..

I mix it wil boob milk but I did start the first two weeks with veges and wild rice lol - its an organic brand(heinz) and she loves it. opens her mouth before the spoon is ready lol

Well i havent heard back from Caithi yet so i really hope they are both ok!
