How long did you TTC before getting your BFP?

Thought it would be interesting to see how long people TTC'd before getting their BFP. If you've had more than one bub, feel free to vote for each!

With DD i was off the pill for 6mths we were not trying but not preventing iykwim:p
DS was a BIG surprise so we weren't tring at all:o

DS took about 6mths...I had never been on the pill. We weren't really trying, but we weren't worried if I did get pregnant.

DD took less than 2mths. I stopped taking the pill, fell preg about 6weeks later. We were quite surprised coz everyone we spoke to told us that it would take a while for the pill to be out of my system and everything to get back to normal before I would fall preg...I guess we proved them wrong didn't we :)

Sounds like what happened to me...I stopped the pill dec 31st 2004...DD was due nov 9th 2005 (she was late tho, born on nov 17th)

With DS I came off the pill in August 05. Had a LONG cycle (45 days if I remember correctly) and then he was conceived next cycle. We had planned to start trying about 6 months later and I had just come off the pill to give my body time to get over the pill... guess my body had other ideas! :D

This time round we've been trying since March 07 but I was breastfeeding and hadnt had PPAF... so made things difficult. Finally got PPAF end of May... had a 40 day cycle and now I'm hoping this is our cycle for getting a :bfp: Will let you all know in a couple weeks :fingerscrossed:

1st.... SURPRISE.. i had been ill and on the pill.... i was the small percentage it didn't work for...lol

2nd....... Fell 1st try.

3rd....... Fell 1st try... on our wedding anniversary (weekend away), also happened to be mothers day...(my 1st sons birthday).. and born on Valentines Day.. we call her the ultimate love child...although she is a devil

4th pregnancy.. 1st go again.. m/c
5th pregnancy.. 4th cycle after m/c

Heres hoping i am on my 4th cycle now after that m/c......hope this is it for me.

It happed 1st try for each of my pregnancys which was a suprise for my 2nd as I have had alot of ovarian cysts and was told by docs it will be hard for me to fall pregnant. But thankfully it wasnt :)

with DD we werent trying at all, was on the pill too so :o with this one we decided we would start trying 26th March and fell preggers 2nd April, so 7 days!!!!!!!

1dd- 5months, took about 3months for body to get back to normal cycle after being on pill.
2dd- 2months, surprise wasnt even trying either! :o

Thanks everyone for your replies. So exciting to see so many of you got your BFP on the first try! This is my 2nd round, so you've all given me renewed hope! :fingerscrossed:

With DS1 we fell preggers 1st try!
DD took 2 months
DS2 we fell 1st try again!

With dd it took 8 months and with ds it took 2 months.
