View Full Version : Gayndah
Just hoping someone could shed some light on this town for me. My husband is probably going to be transferred for work and I've never heard of it. Can anyone recommend a good school? How long does it take to travel to Maryborough?

Hi Rosa:wave:
Gayndah is about an hour or so from Maryborough. I haven't been there for 10yrs but I've always loved it! It's small but extremely friendly:thumbsup:
My Dad grew up in Gayndah & most of his family still live there he has 15 siblings so his family pretty much take up the whole town:laughing: I have been there many many times & Yes the people are very friendly & there are a lot of pubs. I have not been there for 3yrs since my beautiful 30yr old cousins funeral but I can ask Dad to find out anything you would like to know

My SIL lived in gayndah for 2 yrs. The eldest went to he local primary school ( not catholic one) and loved it.
The younger brother went to local pre school and also loved it too.
Thhey absolutly loved it there, only moved due to husband getting a work transfer. All her family are in Bundaberg which was not too far away.
We visited a couple of times and i thought it was nice and quiet, i would live there myself.
thanks ladies for yourr replies, my husband has just come home and told me the plan is now for the work to take place at Bundaberg so I guess at this stage thats where we are off too now....arrrrrrrghhh i'm a little frustrated with it all but must say am happier about it being bundy as more schools and houses to choose from
