Hi everyone,
My hubby and i are friends with this lovely couple who have been trying to conceive for 5 years now. It turns out that the wife has endometriosis and polysystic ovaries. My question is..Is there any other procedures besides trying IVF (financially unable) that you can think of for them to research/try, as they would love to have a child of their own. They are considering Adoption but that also comes with a large cost. Thats what i really dont understand...there are so many lovely couples who are willing to adopt but the cost is so high! Honestly after back ground checks and some documents are signed, surly it doesn't cost up to $10 000! That outragous!
Your sugestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry I can't help with your question, but just wanted to say I am shocked about the cost of adoption! I wonder if it is cheaper to adopt children from other countries? If so, that's kinda bad, not looking out for our own kids.

Hi there, it can be cheaper to adopt from other countries but every country has strict guidelines on who the couple are. It sucks big time because like preciousmiracles said, there are soo many couplese out there who would make great parents but just don't fit the guidelines.

my gf had severe pcos. When they did a lap they found sooo many that had popped and so many still there that they had to do animmediate clean out. She had been off pill for about two years and she fell pregnant next cycle. Maybe she could see her obs for a clean out. I also know someone else who fell pregnant straight after getting her tubes and uterus and everything cleaned out. Goodluck i have my :fingerscrossed: for your friend

Hi, I agree with Kris, your friend needs a clean out, where they laser (I THINK) off the endo and everything inside is all nice and clean. I saw this on a medical show! They went though the belly button!
Also for the polysystic ovaries, im not sure what to do there but maybe herbal medicine to help regulate her cycles? My friend did that and fell preg.

no one here can really truely answer your question Im afraid, your friends would need to visit a fertility specialist and have tests done to say what their options are. PCOS and Endo are conditions that can vary in severity and therefore the treatments that may help them.

I do agree that IVF isnt as expensive as most people think. We thankfully didnt have to quite go that step as we conceived on FSH injections but it we were actually booked in for it (and had obviously seen the costs etc) if our last FSH cycle didnt work... thankfully it did.

I wish them luck :babydust2:

Thank you ladies for all your suggestions, support and info about Adoption and IVF costs. I'm not quite sure about all the details or severety of the endo and polysystic ovaries that she has, and i find im having to tiptoe around the topic as its quite upsetting for them. But i will be seeing them tomorrow for lunch so i will pass on all the info from the posts you have writen.
Thanks ever so much. :fingerscrossed: for my friends.
