Ok here is a quick rundown on the situation.
Roxy has been feeding up to 6 times a night for the past 6weeks or so (she is 4mnths) and her 'routine' goes a bit like this...
5pm Sleep till 9ish
12am Feed then sleep
2am Feed then sleep
4am Feed then is restless and usually in our bed feeding till we get up.
Would you wake her at say 7ish and keep her up for a good feed in the hope of her reducing the amount of feeds through the night?

Oh and i realise this is also a settling issue so i am going to try and settle her if i know she has had a good feed during her last wake up.

what i would do personally is drop the 2am feed and feed at 4am but before you go to bed give her a top up so she is not waking at 2am for a feed then after her 4am feed i would try and streach it out to 8amish if you can thas what i did with master4 and it worked it took only a couple of weeks but he soon got the idea

I certainly dont have a lot of experience in this dep't (Jedd is only 6wks old) but so far I have found that if I wake him 2hrs after his last feed, he is likely to sleep longer. I am also trying to feed him lots during the afternoon/evening (3pm, 5pm, 7pm, 9pm) and then he has a good long sleep (4hours is GREAT for us) and then he goes back to his normal 2.5/3hrly feed/sleep cycle.

So yes - I would try waking her at 7pm for a top up. If it doesn't work then at least you know not to do it again - right?
