Just wondering how much tummy time a 10 week old should have and in what size blocks etc.. EJ has been getting more interested in looking at whats around her while on her tummy and attempting to move a little towards things, so I am wondering if Im giving her enough or not enough time on it now shes more active... Is there a specific amount she should have at this age?

Thanks:)

I think you can give them as much as you want/they will take.

So when she is up, pop her on her tummy and leave her there until she starts fussing, or you can just tell she has had enough... You are lucky - lots of little 'uns hate their tummy time and it's an effort to give them even a minute of it!

I dont think that there is too much/not enough. But what i was doing when lochie was younger (now 14wks) was just when i changed his nappy i would give him a minute or two. And then gradually extend it to nappy change time and then a minute or two when with his toys placing them in front or just to the side so as he would look at them. He now has fantastic head control!

Hiya :) Christopher loved his tummy time from week one... no probs.... he was an early crawler though so it may have some side effects *laugh*. Give her whatever she wants!! :)

i agree with the others just put her on her tummy till she starts to fuss and has had enough.. I dont think there is any right or wrong amount of time...
I was always so worried that Samuel didnt get enough tummy time because he hated it but he crawled at 8 months and walked by 11 months so i dont believe its the be-all and end-all !!

For as long as bubs is happy to be her tummy, thats how long tummy time should last for... I dont think there is a specific time period per day (for eg) that they need to spend on their tummy..

Do want makes bubs happy...
