We are still waiting to get into see a specialist, but i have cut out everything to do with egg and may contain traces off.
G had another bad reaction in his nappy (i had another thread about this... its not a teething rash, it literally looks like it burnt him not a rash. And his Poos are foul smelling and not as formed as usual)... So i have to figure out what is causing it now.
I got him sakatas yesterday... So ill stop them for now and see if its that.
I have to get my bottom into gear and make him some safe things. But its now so hard to know what is safe for him!
What could the likely suspects be?

sorry I haven't read any of your other threads about this but if you haven't then I'd cut out dairy and gluten, My DD has a dairy intollerance and I also found when she was under 12mo tomato based things would upset her tummy too though I'm not sure why. still do now occasionally too but it's something else to think about anyway.

He has been having dairy and as far as i know gluten without issue... But i will cut out gluten first and see if that helps :) thanks...
Hurry up drs!
Bekky...go back to your basic basic foods. So foods that are safe to introduce from 6 months (pears, apples, sweet potato etc.) Offer plain, home cooked meats (chicken beef...avoid fish). Avoid everything processed and packaged (about the only thing DD can eat that comes out of a tin is baked beans) It's going to be a bit boring for him but it's only for a couple more weeks until you can get him tested.
Write down what you're feeding him each day and what you notice (consistency of poop, nappy rash, reactions etc. etc.).
Stay away from strawberries/kiwi fruit/citrus fruits/tomato as they can be allergy triggers too.
If, once you've gone back to the basic foods he is still having trouble then I'd look at cutting out wheat as well.
Do you have a paed yet? Even if you haven't seen him/her but have an appt with someone (your GP should have given you a referral to see a paed as well) ring them and explain he is getting allergy tested but is having reactions even though you've cut out what you know he reacts to and see what they say.
Also, go and get yourself some infant clarantyne. If he breaks out in hives or has any swelling give him a dose of that and it will help settle everything so he doesn't have to suffer. Just give the recommended dose on the bottle.
Don't hesitate to take him to the hospital if he has a rwaction either. First (and only) time DD had a reaction I raced her to our GP (across the road) and she was fine but my GP told me if it happened again to ring an ambulance and have her taken to the hospital. You can never be too careful.
:hugs: I hope the next couple of weeks go quick for you!

Thanks Carmen :)
Yeah we have his bottle of antihestimine... It comes out at first sign of any reaction. Our Gp said just keep it on hand and give it him straight away. I gave him some just before when i noticed this burn on his bum...
Thanks for that info! :D

Poor little man.. :hugs:
I dont really have much advice regarding the foods except for going back to basic unprocessed foods and just adding in one extra thing every few days and see how he goes..
But just so you know i replied to your other thread about teething and that is exactly what happened to Jacob.. Red raw bottom like a massive burn (not a typical looking rash), often bled in little parts when you wiped it, runny messy yucky stinky poos (not those lovely solid formed poopys), and very strong acidic wees..
So i have my :fingerscrossed: it is the same for G.. Not fun at all i know but better than another allergy..
Hope you can see a specialist soon and sort it all out for your boy.. :hugs:

No worries Bekky! I had a friend who had been through it all already while I was waiting and I really appreciated all the help she could give me while we played the waiting game!

Hi I don't know if you have sorted this out but my daughter seemed to have an intolerance to something and we tried changing formula nd foods etc. She would stay up for hours and scream in pain and pull her legs up and we couldn't do anything to stop it.
My husband finally noticed that every night she had potato she would be up all night. We have taken her off the potato and haven't had another night like that since.. Apparently it is rare and we have spoken to our doctor about it and he tested for coeliac disease and it came back negative. He didn't seem to believe us or take it seriously, but i have done some research and tomato, egg plant, peppers and tobacco are all in the same family. We still haven't given her potato and her sleep patterns have improved. This intolerance cannot be tested as there isn't a test out there it is just a matter of observation!! I hope this helps at all. We went through this for 16 months, and who would have thought the potato could cause problems!!:fingerscrossed:
