View Full Version : Perth Playgroup - Thornlie
Hi all
I just thought I'd post up the details of my local community playgroup incase anyone's looking for one in the new year :)
It's the Huntingdale Cherubs Playgroup (Located in Thornlie :) )
We are affiliated with Playgroup WA (Inc)
We have three sessions - Monday, Tuesday (new this year) , & Wednesday mornings 9.30-11.30am.
Our attendee children for this year range in age from 3 months to 4 years (we cater for 0-5years).
Our mums are 21-43 years (so we cover nearly the full spectrum). Dads, Grandmas etc are very welcome too ( we just don't have any as yet for 2006).
To find out more http://www.cherubs.websyte.com.au/
or call the Playgroup Association WA on 1800 171 882
(If you'd like a playgroup in a different suburb Playgroup WA can find you one near you too).

Hey Roxie,
That sounds really good. We have just moved to Canning vale so this would be really close for us. I have looked on the webpage and emailed through that to see if you have spaces on Monday am.
I have been wanting to take DS to a Playgroup for ages, but I think I have been frightened to get invloved in an already established group. But, I have decided just to go for it - nothing to loose and DS is 14 months now and I feel he really needs some company his own age.
Hope to see you soon
Claire

Hi Roxie,
I live in Thornlie and have a 6 month old son. I am very interested in joining and might know some other ladies who are too.
Can you please email me some more info too??
Fanx in advance. :)
email is monyfelix27@hotmail.com
Simone - I've sent you some info - the more the merrier ! :)
I only have Monday mornings free.. but not the next two... can I join anytime?
I know Claire at least so I might be able to convince myself to go if she is already there ;)
I'm afraid Jade is a little too young for playgroup yet though...
Yes Tash - you can join any time :)
Our youngest at the moment is 3 months but some have been going since pretty much birth LOL ( my younger two have )
When you are ready to go just let me know so that Kerrie (who runs mondays) knows to expect you. Also I'll probably need to explain how to find the place. :)
Thanks, I'll let youknow when I intend to come along.
I know where it is though. I live in Huntingdale and I am very familiar with Thornlie:D
Cool :) You must know thornlie like the back of your hand !
Just a reminder for those who were interested that Playgroup starts from tomorrow morning :D (for mondays session). No need to worry about fees or insurance for the first week just come along and see if you like us first (bring a piece of fruit to share).
We've had quite a few new people put their names down over the past week so there is a good mix of ages and old and new mums.
Hey Claire
I live in Canning Vale too. I have a 14 month old (actually she will be 14 months tomorrow). Unfortunately I don't have a license so I won't be able to get to the playgroup. If you want to meet up and meet my 14 month old and someone lives in C.Vale I would love to meet new mums. Roxie can tell you I'm not a crazy woman.

Rachel - Your sister is most welcome to come along any week and have a look around and see if she likes us. :D We are are there everyweek on a Tuesday morning (except the 21/3 when we have our outing).
Tuesdays now has around 13 mums and 16ish children (6 under 12m and 6 preg mums- 2 with twins) so we've ended up with quite a group. :D And we are all very friendly
Wednesdays has 10ish mums and Mondays has 14ish (including a grandma) So all is going really well :)
