We are using NAN HA1 and whilst all else is ok, I am finding my DD 7 weeks, spews alot after her feed - not massively - but more than when she was on her previous formula. Plus she still gets alot of wind. Having said this, 'I think" (better not speak too soon!) this formula is settling her bowels. Anyone with the same experience?? And what about Karicare HA AR? What is that like? (Not that I am going to change...just interested as I read on one of these parenting forums that it is also particularly easy to digest).:o

Hi there
I used NAN HA with DS - as he was a reflux baby and it was recommended to me by other reflux mums - and it worked well for us.
When I decided to bottle feed DD, I went straight for the NAN HA after having had sucess with DS. Our paed. warned that the HA variety can make some babies windy - and it did! So we have now switched DD to the normal NAN (I like NAN formulas) - and she has less trouble with her bowels now.
We have also been giving her infants friend, so it is hard I guess to definately say what causes what....
She is still a bit of a windy baby - I guess some just are.
This doesn't exactly answer your query... but anyway:ecomcity:

Lachlan was originally on Karicare AR, but it made him constipated regardless of how much water I gave him between feeds. I swapped over to Karicare AR HA and have had no problems whatsoever - to begin with he did fart a lot but it didn't bother him and his poos are really sloppy but I can handle that.
Hi... My DD has suffered with reflux - and we've gone through many different formula's to try and get the right one. We were on karicare gold originally, then we needed it thicker for her reflux... We then went onto Karicare HA AR - and she seemed to have become lactose intollerant!!!! Her poos were an awful green colour and completely runny (she's always had lose bowels, but this was water.) Now we're on S26 - I wanted to keep her on Karicare De-lact, but it was out of supply, so no choice but S26.. She seems to be going alright with it...
She's a very windy baby - always has been... Does lots of BIG burps - from both ends!! ha ha
I've noticed her poos are a bit harder of late- so i try and get some water into her, but she doesn't like it... Just keep trying though.

My twins were exactly the same, with the Karicare HA AR, we are now using Novalac AR and it is great for them:thumbsup:
We tried many different formulas and this was the only one that worked for my boys.
