Hi Mistymoon!

We're TTCing #1. This is our 2nd cycle of trying. Once DH finally said "yes" to TTC, I went off the pill and was told by my doc to wait 3 months to see if AF was regular. So I was soooo excited and nervous just like you are!

Then last month, it was finally time for us to TTC, and I soooo expected to fall pg first go. I had pretty much every pg symptom in the book, but then AF arrived right on time. So I was really disappointed but realised it's normal for it to take a while.

AF is due on Monday for me, so am going through the same "am I, am I not" routine again which is driving me nuts! When you finally decide to TTC, and are finally ready, you just wanna get pg right now!!!!

Good luck to you! When do you start?

Thanks ladies for giving me some perspective, my friend got pg first cycle with both her kids and I thought that was normal but after reading some of the threads in here I realise it can take alot longer than that and she is extremely lucky. So I have been getting a bit obsessed and I havent even start ttc yet. I have already bought OPK and BBT Thermometer and have been tracking. maybe I should just relax :o

I can see how waiting for AF can drive you crazy with the whole am I? / Arnt I? routine.:fingerscrossed: I will be there with you next month.

I wish you all lots of Luck :babydust2:

GOOD LUCK

Hi Ali80. I also alternate between being excited and scared! I think because nothing can prepare you for being pregnant, and then being a mum.

Here's hoping you get your BFP this month!

Mistymoon - Lots of girls do get pregnant on their first try. the first time DH and I BD'd without protection was soooooo exciting, I felt like "right now I am making a baby!" and then we did it again, and again, hahaha. And then I didnt' get pg, and I'm like "How is that possible???" hehe.

Hi Mistymoon.

I just wanted to send you and me and all the others lots of :babydust2: :babydust2: :babydust2: .

Be positive and i am sure it will happen before you know it. Dont let some of our stories scare you, people dont seem to talk about the good stuff as much.

I am classed as ttc number 1 i guess. We had a m/c a week a go today, but are trying really hard to get that:bfp: again and first probably AF.

It only took us 2 months to get preg last time so fingers crossed.

Anyway look forward to us all sharing our journeys together.

xoxoxo

We are waiting until october to start TTC #1. I pass my time and ease my nerves by reading 'the natural way to better babies'. It's a fabulous book that gives you lots of advice on how to increase your chances of a BFP first time through things like vitamins etc. I highly recommend it. Will have to wait until october though to see if it pays off:fingerscrossed:

Hello All!

It's nice to know we're all in the same boat.

It's 6 months today since my DH and I got married, and i've been off the pill now for 3 months. The first cycle, we used condoms, so i could get a month of Elevit in, and since then we've been BDing like crazy - but then again, we're still newlyweds!!!(In my eyes at least)

The thing is, I don't even feel like I'm ovulating yet. My cycles seem to be lengthening by a couple of days each time. My body is probably still trying to get used to managing itself after many years on the pill. I don't even know when to expect AF.

For the first time in my life, I'm not working full-time, and I'm worried that this baby-making is becoming an obsession for me.

I'm just trying to relax and let nature take its course, so to speak, and not get to focused on charting temps and CM just yet.

:fingerscrossed: for lots of gorgeous little babies for all of us!

Hey CrazyCatLady I love your aviator . Thanks for the book recommendation I will look for it as I am reading anything that relates to Babies and Conception at the moment. Good luck waiting until October I am finding it hard waiting ,till August. I just want to start right now.:o

Tallia11 how exciting you have started, yay!:yelclap: I am also charting cm, bbt and opk to try and make it easier TTC. who would of thought there is so much to do when ttc? lol. good luck with:bfp:

Cindye it is really nice to know we are all in the same boat because all my friends already have toddlers and are over the whole TTC. I know I am already totally obsessed with the whole TTC and I havent even started yet. I would like to relax and just let it all happen naturally but I cant....very impatient:laughing:

Hey Mistymoon. I have also found most ladies on here seem to already have at least one kid - I'm thinking they probably discover bubhub AFTER they've had a bub, or once pregnant. And yes it is VERY addictive!

I also noticed a lot of young ladies on here, or "older" ladies who by the ages of their children you can tell they had kids really young. So I was beginning to wonder if I was considered old too! I'm also 28.

That first 2 week wait went really slow - I think it's made worse by knowing it's called the 2 week wait! If I hadnt' known I probably woulnd't have thought about it much and just thought I wouldn't know anything until AF is late! So in someways bubhub probably makes things worse  but it also makes TTCing a lot of fun, and you have wonderful ladies to share your ups and downs with and to get advice from. It's great as we're not telling anyone we're ttcing, so it gives me someplace to talk about it.

The first week of this tww went fast, as I knew it was too early for symptoms, but now I'm getting impatient!

hi crazycatlady,

Thanks for the book idea. I have just been online and ordered that book plus one on m/c so i cant wait till they arrive, hopefully whilst i am still having time off work and i can get stuck into them.

Cheers

No problem. There's actually a whole series. I'm onto 'The natural way to a better pregnancy' (same kind of advice but steered towards keeping the baby as healthy as possible and how to avoid the not so nice parts of pregnancy). I've just bought 'The natural way to better breast feeding' and Ordered 'The natural way to better birth and bonding'. Can you tell I like the books. :o

A warning though, I pretty much rattle in the morning with all the supplements I'm on.

. We are not old I still feel like I am 21  . We too are not telling anyone that we will be TTC .And it is soooooo great to be able to share it all with the ladies on bubhub because i think I would just explode if I kept it all to myself

Alot of the syptoms pg I have when AF is coming so I think it will be a bit confusing and a tease for me.

Have a great weekend and dont think about it tooo much!!!!

Thanks Mistymoon. Great for me also to find someone else the same age TTC #1. We haven't had any rellies pressuring us to have a bub, but my mum is very into health stuff so am wondering if I will wait a while before I tell her when we finally are pg, as I'm worried she will be analysing everything am and aren't eating and doing! I think I'll be too excited to keep it to myself though!

I've been having mild cramping since Thursday, but AF isn't due until mon or tues, or could be even a few days later because I think I might have o'd later (still not really sure on all that stuff!). So unusual for me to get cramps this early, so I'm hoping it's a good sign! :fingerscrossed:

I think I will be that excited I will want to tell every one - even strangers on the street! Im still not sure exactly when I am Oing either thats why I have got OPKS.
I hope the cramps are a good sign for you:fingerscrossed:

It can be tough keeping even the fact that you are TTCing a secret. A student asked me this morning if I had any kids, and when I was going to have them. And I'm like "Oh, maybe in a few years!" and I'm thinking "There could be the beginnings of one in my belly right now!" So yeah, feels a bit weird lying to people, but I don't want everyone knowing we're trying, cause then they'll start asking if I'm pg yet, and if it takes a while, that's gonna really suck!

Sorry about AF Tomsmel :hugs: .

I have just been reading through the testing in July Thread and felt for everyones excitement :smiliedance: and dissapointments :crying: - I cant wait to join the August thread!

Hi Kell wish you luck as well and I will see you in the August thread. YAY!!!

Fludo thats the same as me I dont want to tell everyone we are trying so they dont ask me all the time am I pg yet?? because if Im not it would make me even more dissapoited. I think the poll you started is great because i wanted to know how long it has taken every one to :bfp:

Hey Mistymoon. The girls in the testing threads are sooo awesome. It's so great to have people to share the ups and downs of TTC with, and it's so exciting when someone gets their BFP, even though we don't even really know each other!

I'm also glad I started the poll, because it's showing up that heaps of people got their BFP's first try - hope you can join them next month! - and most in the first few months. There seem to be so many people here struggling TTC that I was starting to think I would probably be trying for ages! here's hoping it happens soon for us both :fingerscrossed:

Thanks Kell I didnt realize the August thread had already started, I have put my name down. How exciting! I will see you in there.

Fludo it is so great to know that there are people out there who are falling pg first time ttc or couple months later. Gives me alot of hope and keeps me positive.:yelclap: I also feel really excited and happy for the people on the July thread who have fallen Pg this month. And it is strange that we dont really know each other but im sure we feel close because everyone feels that they can be really honest and tell us things they dont feel comfortable telling their freinds or family because we dont really know each other. God what did every one do in the olden days before there were computers and Forums???

:fingerscrossed: that we all get :bfp: very very very soon

Hi there Mistymoon,

Im also TTC #1 but have been trying since November 2006 which has been bout 9months now and still no luck. Im not doing anything special though apart from the main thing (BD).
I have also cut right down on my drinking (lucky to have 2 drinks a week on average), quit smoking and have been going to the gym for 2months now.
Im excited, scared, and frustrated all at the same time.
Hope all goes well for you.
xx
P.S:fingerscrossed: for all of us TTC

CRAZYCAT...Who has written those wonderful books you keep talking about?? i might just look into them.

Hi Mistymoon,

Very best of luck TTC!! :D
I am hoping to TTC for #1 next month, I have been trying to get my head around it for 2 years, and I just cant seem to get it together, its so frustrating :banghead: , (thankfully hubby has the patience of a saint) but im making an extra effort for next month, hopefully the journey is not too long for me either, Im 28 also, and really want my kids by 30. I feel like im leaving it too late to have kids and Im paranoid I cant have a baby or im gonna miscariage.
So wish me luck for next month :fingerscrossed:
Good luck to you too :fingerscrossed:
Any advice anyone has on how I can relax and enjoy TTC would be great.
