In shock!!!!!!

I have done 2 HPTs this morning and BOTH have come back positive!!!!! Just rang Dr and have organised to have blood test done today to confirm.

I'm a bit worried though, as my last period was on 13 March 2007, so this cycle was around 120+ days long. I had a blood test done 2 weeks ago which was negative. I think I am just a bit scared as it was such a long cycle and also worried, as I was told a healthy conception may not be possible after such a long cycle.

Has anyone fallen pg after having a long cycle??

I am so happy and excited as I really believed nothing was going to happen this cycle, but part of me is also a little scared to be happy and excited IYKWIM.

To top it of, today is my DD2's birthday - I think this will be her favourite present!!!!

That's fantastic news! Good luck with the blood test today. I guess the doc will have fun trying to work out when you conceived with such a long cycle - that's like 4 months! :eek: Can't help you with that one sorry.

I'm pretty sure it's ok to conceive on a long cycle.
The egg is normally fresh, it isn't lingering around there since your last AF.
It is only released when the lutenizing hormone is produced which is about a day or two before ovulation. (if I remember correctly).

My cycle was 10 weeks when I conceived. Toadlet looks fairly normal to me.

I have very long cycles and have no idea when i ovulate so its definately possible! Good luck:babydust2:

Best of luck with your blood tests :) I have never had a cycle that long so not sure how it all works, hopefully all is fine though and in 6/7/8 months you'll have a healthy bubby to cuddle :D

Congrats on your pregnancy!!
I had long cycles when i concieved DD and she is a healthy baby. What they do to determine how far you actually are is a BT will show how strong the hormone is and when you are around 12ish week mark they will do an ultrasound to check measurements. They did that to me and instead of being 12 weeks i was only about 9.
