Hi Girls,

Just wondering if anyone can help me…………after I had an ultrasound on Friday ( to check a cyst I had, had gone) the doc said that they had seen to small groups of follicles on each ovary, and they were querying PCOS (not sure if relevant but the day of my ultra sound I was Oing, got +OPK and ewcm). The doc has taken bloods from me and I get the results on Monday. At present, I have regular 28days cycles and apart from 1 cyst have never had any problems. The question I have is, I am CD21, since 1 DPO I have had AF type cramping, and then stabbing pains on each side on and off , so is this a normal feeling to have with PCOS?

Any thoughts/views appreciated

Thanks in advance

Hi Sun,

I have a relatively mild form of PCOS and like you I have regular 28 day cycles with no other problems and my ultrasound was a little uncertain. I did get pains around my O time, similar to AF style cramps (before my BFP). I think if you are anything like me only the bloods will determine whether you have PCOS or not. But it doesn't have to mean a big deal. I took metformin because I have the insulin resistance to go along with it but other than that nothing for me changed after finding out I had it and we got our BFP our first try. PCOS varies pretty widely in it's symptoms. I hope your blood tests give you the result you are after.

mimcal - thank you for your reply,it's good to hear something positive and you're right it doesn't have to be a major problem for me.

congratulations on your BFP !

Sun, I agree with mimical. I take the metformin with my insulin resistance which showed in the blood and glucose tolerance test i had. There is a lot of talk about how metformin can help woman with PCOS too who don't have insulin resistance. My FS is very confident that you can fall pregnant fine with PCOS and metformin.

I too get really bad pain at O time and that is the only way I can really tell because I don't get much EWCM. I also get regular cramping throughout my cycle.

:fingerscrossed: you get all the answers you need on monday and we are hear for you if you need. :hugs: and Valentine
